Description

Tottenham Hotspur moved up to third in the Premier League table after playing out a tense 2-2 draw with Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur have managed to keep their unbeaten run against Manchester United in their last eight outings intact following the stalemate.

Spurs had to claw their way back into the game after trailing early on, with substitute Mathys Tel drawing them level before Richarlison turned the tie on its head.

However, Tottenham were left frustrated when Matthijs de Ligt found the back of the net late on for United, ensuring both sides shared the spoils at full-time.

On the balance of play, it felt like a fair result for both teams, yet Thomas Frank had more to worry about than just the dropped points, as a few of his players came off injured during the encounter.

Randal Kolo Muani was withdrawn at halftime after taking a knock, while captain Cristian Romero had to be replaced late in the second half by Kevin Danso after also picking up a minor issue.

Speaking after the match, Thomas Frank provided an encouraging update on both players, telling reporters that neither injury appeared serious.

MORE SPURS STORIES

On Romero, he said: “Just done physically. He just came back from that injury. He is fine.” On Kolo Muani, he added: “Actually struggled a little bit, but nothing big.”

Tottenham facing heavy injury list before international break

This league fixture marks Tottenham’s final outing before the November international break, which will come as a relief for Frank, who continues to juggle an ongoing injury crisis.

Ten players remain sidelined for Spurs, with Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, Archie Gray, and Lucas Bergvall among those still recovering from various setbacks.

However, Tottenham could welcome back several of these players once club football resumes, which would be ideal timing as the matches begin to pile up rapidly during the busy festive period.

Five things we learned from Tottenham’s 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-2 draw at home to Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, with Thomas Frank’s side moving into third place.

Let’s take a look at the five things we learned:

Tottenham’s poor home form continues

A clash against Manchester United is never an easy one, and coming into this league fixture, many Tottenham Hotspur fans would not have expected a straightforward game.

That proved to be the case, as United fought right until the end and refused to stay down even when Spurs equalised and grabbed what looked to be a winner through Richarlison’s strike.

A 2-2 draw might seem a fair result, yet Frank would still be scratching his head over how his side once more failed to collect three points on home soil.

Coming into this clash, Tottenham had managed just three wins in their last 19 league fixtures at home, a run equivalent to going an entire season with only three victories at home.

That, of course, is not good enough for a side looking to secure a spot in the European places, but at the moment, that is Tottenham’s reality.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The struggle clearly continued today, with Spurs dropping what seemed like three points right at the death, leaving Frank with more questions than answers about his side’s home performances.

Destiny Udogie must start every game to give Tottenham width on the left

This is the sort a match that would have left mixed feelings for many Spurs supporters who watched their team struggle for large spells of the contest.

The first half was flat from Tottenham, who failed to record a single shot on target and looked devoid of creativity or invention.

Credit must go to Frank for acting quickly, as he withdrew Randal Kolo Muani and later replaced a poor Pedro Porro with Destiny Udogie.

Those two changes transformed the game, giving Tottenham far better balance down the left-hand side.

Udogie came on and linked superbly with Wilson Odobert, combining both on the inside and outside channels.

His ability to deliver first-time crosses added a fresh dimension to Spurs’ attacking play, something they have lacked when Djed Spence has been deployed in that role.

It was fitting that a cross from Udogie eventually led to Tottenham’s equaliser through Mathys Tel.

The balance of the team looks far better with him in the side, and as long as he is fit, he simply has to start every game to maintain width and structure on the left flank.

Mathys Tel scores off the bench after boos when Xavi Simons went off

Tottenham fans have not seen much of Mathys Tel in recent weeks, but the Frenchman used this game to remind everyone of his quality.

He did not start, yet his work rate after coming off the bench was impressive as he helped defensively and provided an extra spark in attack.

His goal was expertly taken, controlling the ball before turning and finishing clinically. It came after he replaced Xavi Simons, who had shone in midweek against Copenhagen but struggled badly on this occasion.

Simons offered little going forward, and Tottenham fans made their frustration clear when he was substituted, booing as Tel replaced him. However, the change proved inspired as Tel rewarded his manager’s decision with a crucial contribution.

Wilson Odobert is winning the left-wing battle for Spurs

Many Tottenham supporters would agree that the right flank is firmly owned by Mohammed Kudus, the £55 million signing who has made the position his own since joining from West Ham United.

The left wing, however, remains up for grabs, with Tel, Odobert, Muani and Brennan Johnson all in contention for the spot.

Frank initially deployed Richarlison on the left, but at half-time, he switched things around, moving the Brazilian up top and introducing Odobert for Muani.

The young Frenchman changed the tempo of the match, linking up well with Udogie, beating his man several times and delivering dangerous balls into the box.

He is beginning to find rhythm and confidence, and after scoring on Tuesday, he followed it up with an assist today for Richarlison. Odobert may not yet have cemented his place, but he is undoubtedly the one leading the battle for that left-wing role.

Tottenham need injured players back over the break

This game underlined how vital squad depth is, as Frank’s substitutions ultimately salvaged a result.

However, Tottenham are still not at full strength, with ten players currently sidelined through injury.

Cristian Romero appeared to pick up a late knock in this encounter, something that will concern Frank and his coaching staff.

The upcoming international break could not have come at a better time, allowing Spurs to recover key players for the busy festive period ahead.

Dominic Solanke is expected to return after the break, while Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall would be closer to full fitness after the pause.

Description

The full-time whistle has blown between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the Premier League, and the player ratings are in.

Tottenham full-time player ratings vs Manchester United

Guglielmo Vicario – The Tottenham number one was beaten by United’s first shot on target after Mbeumo headed in at the back post. Late in the second half, right when Tottenham thought they had won it, United grabbed an equaliser, scoring from their two shots on target. 5.

Pedro Porro – Was hooked off after a rather poor display in both halves. The Spaniard failed to mark Mbeumo at the back post for United’s opener, and his crossing from both open play and set pieces was shocking. It was no surprise he was taken off. 3.

Cristian Romero – Had a very quiet first half as most of United’s threat came from the wide areas, leaving him with little to do. In the second half, however, with Spurs pushing to get level, the club captain managed their first shot on target after meeting Odobert’s cross. He was later taken off for Danso after picking up a knock before heading straight down the tunnel. 6.

Micky Van de Ven – The corners Tottenham managed all game were poor in terms of delivery, perhaps down to Kudus’ absence. Van de Ven, however, put in a solid display at the back as United barely threatened all match. The Dutchman made a crucial recovery tackle to deny Sesko, who was bearing down on goal right after Spurs’ equaliser. 6.

Djed Spence – He definitely could have done more to put pressure on Amad Diallo’s cross for United’s opener. In the second half, he was moved from the left to the right as Frank searched for fresh ideas, but Spurs’ attacking play still did not improve. 4.

Joao Palhinha – The Portuguese midfielder did his defensive basics well in the first half, winning both ground and aerial duels. In the second, he ventured further into the opposition box and drew a fine save from Lammens after a well-struck effort. 6.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Pape Sarr – The Senegal international tried to contribute at both ends, as shown when he tracked back in the first half to block Cunha’s strike. He looked to offer more presence in United’s box but was ultimately lacking in intensity and desire. 5.

Xavi Simons – Showed glimpses of his quality in the first half when Spurs looked to transition from defence to attack. In the second forty-five, however, the Dutchman’s influence faded as he saw little of the ball. 4.

Brennan Johnson – Had a few bright moments in the first half, including when his floated ball narrowly missed Richarlison’s head, but at times he struggled to look after the ball. In the second half, he found the net but from an offside position. A performance that summed up Tottenham’s attack in a nutshell — inconsistent and bland. 4.

Richarlison – A very poor showing from the Brazil international, who struggled to influence proceedings. His decision-making in the final third was poor. Although he saw more of the ball, he often picked the wrong pass, and his hold-up play was lacking. He did, however, paper over the cracks with a goal that proved to be the winner until De Ligt’s late equaliser. 6.

Randal Kolo Muani – After a quiet first forty-five, where he was largely chasing shadows, Thomas Frank decided to substitute the Frenchman. 5.

Substitutes

Wilson Odobert – Came on in place of Kolo Muani as Frank looked to change things up. Created a really good chance with a cross that Romero met, but the effort was straight at the United goalkeeper. The 20-year-old remained lively and looked the most dangerous of Tottenham’s attackers. Eventually provided the assist for Spurs’ second. 8.

Destiny Udogie – Replaced Porro and had a bright moment when he linked up with Odobert down the left. The pair combined again shortly after, with Udogie delivering a cross that found Tel, who finished beautifully. 7.

Rodrigo Bentancur – Came on to replace Palhinha as Frank’s side pushed to salvage something from the fixture. N/A.

Mathys Tel – Replaced Xavi Simons and, with his first shot on target, pulled Tottenham level after controlling Udogie’s low-driven cross before turning and firing into the net. A brilliant goal. 7.

The half-time whistle has blown between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in the Premier League, and the player ratings are in.

Tottenham half-time player ratings vs Man United

Guglielmo Vicario – Manchester United barely threatened the Spurs goalkeeper, but in what was their first attack of the game, Mbeumo headed home. Nothing Vicario could have done about it. 5.

Pedro Porro – The Spanish full-back was tasked with marking Mbeumo, whom Spurs were linked with during the summer. The Cameroon international did grab a goal after Porro lost him at the back post while ball-watching. 4.

Cristian Romero – Has not had to do much defending in this game so far. Tottenham, however, have seen loads of the ball, and each time Romero has had it at his feet, he has looked positive, always seeking to play forward passes. 5.

Micky Van de Ven – Tottenham managed just two corners in the first half, but van de Ven did not meet any as they were overhit. No dazzling run so far either, but he has been solid at the back alongside Romero. 5.5.

Djed Spence – A quiet opening forty-five for the England international, who has not been threatened much on the left of Spurs’ defence. Amad Diallo did put in a cross from his side of the pitch, and neither Spence nor Richarlison did enough to put pressure on the ball. 4.

Joao Palhinha – The only one in the pivot today. The Portuguese midfielder has made a few key tackles and interceptions. He also gets his head on United’s long goal kicks, helping with his height. 6.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Pape Sarr – The Senegalese midfielder produced a really fine block to keep Tottenham level in the half when Cunha got the better of Cristian Romero and shot from Spurs’ box. 5.5.

Xavi Simons – If Tottenham are to create consistently, then they have to find this man more often. Simons has, however, seen the ball a few times in the pockets behind United’s Casemiro and Fernandes, but he has not done much with it in transition, often holding onto it for too long. 5.

Brennan Johnson – Picked up a needless yellow card in the first half. Johnson has also seen little of the ball, nor has he had any clear-cut chances. He did put in a tantalising delivery into the box, only for Richarlison to fail to get his head on it. He has also not looked after the ball well in the final third, often taking heavy touches or over-hitting his passes. 5.

Richarlison – Had a good opportunity to test the United goalkeeper at least after Johnson floated in a cross, but the Brazil international failed to make contact. It is a fluid frontline that also sees Richarlison occupying the central areas. 5.

The Tottenham Hotspur team selection for the Premier League fixture against Manchester United has been announced.

Coming into the fixture, Tottenham beat Copenhagen 4-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, while United have not played since drawing 2-2 with Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Tottenham fans are all too aware that their form heading into an international break has not always been the best, nor have their domestic displays at their home stadium under new boss Thomas Frank.

The last time the two sides met, Tottenham beat Man Utd in the Europa League final under Ange Postecoglou, who delivered the club’s first piece of silverware in seventeen years with a 1-0 victory in Bilbao.

The Tottenham team has been announced to face Man Utd

Lucas Bergvall is out with a concussion and is joined on the sidelines by the likes of Dominic Solanke, Yves Bissouma, Kota Takai, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Ben Davies.

This is the Spurs team which takes to the field at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today:

MORE SPURS STORIES

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Sarr; Johnson, Simons, Richarlison; Kolo Muani.

Bench: Kinsky, Danso, Tel, Udogie, Odobert, Bentancur, Scarlett, Rowswell, Akhamrich.

United are undefeated in four matches and will be looking to continue to improve on their upturn in form against Frank’s Spurs, who were booed off the pitch after the dismal performance against Chelsea.

Tottenham must win heading into the international break

Tottenham head into this weekend in sixth place in the Premier League table, having dropped down three places after losing to Chelsea while United also have seventeen points to their name.

With just one win to their name in the Premier League at home this season is proving to be costly for Tottenham, who are failing to capitalise on other members of the big six having also dropped unexpected points.

Spurs fans will have to wait until November 23rd following today’s game until their side are next back in action, when they take on bitter rivals Arsenal in the North London derby at the Emirates.

How to watch Tottenham vs Manchester United across the world

For those wondering how to watch Tottenham vs Manchester United, for those in the UK, the match is being televised live on TNT Sports 1 and TNT Sports Ultimate, with kick-off at 12:30 GMT.

Unsurprisingly, the match is being televised worldwide on a number of major channels.

Tottenham legend says Thomas Frank can win a trophy if he strengthens key position in January

Tottenham Hotspur legend Paul Miller is very positive about the club’s prospects under Thomas Frank this season.

Frank has come under some extremely harsh criticism over the last few weeks, with the Dane very quickly finding out about the added pressure and expectations that come with managing a club of Tottenham’s size.

Some pundits have questioned Frank’s tactics, but results-wise, one has to say that it has been a solid start for the Dane at N17.

The Lilywhites sit sixth in the Premier League and are unbeaten in the Champions League, despite the fact that Tottenham have had a bloated injury list.

Paul Miller says Tottenham can compete for silverware under Thomas Frank

Miller, who spent a decade at Spurs between 1977 and 1987, believes that the decision to replace Ange Postecoglou with Frank was the right one for the club.

He believes that while Tottenham still need to strengthen a couple of areas of the squad, the club can challenge for silverware again this season.

Miller told Sports Boom: “Ange was an excellent coach. He had a clear attacking philosophy and brought us silverware, which we’ll always be grateful for. But I think the timing was right for a change.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“There’s still work to do, every club needs to strengthen. I think we could use another striker, but overall, Tottenham is in a very good place right now.

“Thomas Frank is a very intelligent and detailed coach. He’s already making a positive impact. We’re more balanced now, both tactically and mentally. There’s a real sense of belief in the squad, and you can see the players are buying into his methods.

“If we can add a few more players in January, I think we can compete for another trophy this season. The team looks confident, and the atmosphere around the club is really positive.”

Miller is in awe of Spurs duo

It was reported by The Telegraph a couple of days ago that the feeling internally at Tottenham is that they have the best centre-back pairing in the Premier League.

That is an assessment that Miller agrees with, with the former Spurs defender suggesting that Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have been the club’s two best players this season.

When asked about Romero and Van de Ven, the 66-year-old said: “They’ve been outstanding, probably our best two players this season. Even when Romero’s been out, Micky has stepped up and been absolutely superb.

“They complement each other so well: Romero brings aggression and leadership, while Van de Ven has incredible pace and composure. Together, they make a solid, fearless partnership that gives the whole team confidence.

“They’re also a real threat from set pieces, and the more they play together, the better that understanding will become. It’s a fantastic pairing for the club’s future.”

Description

After a dominant midweek Champions League performance, Thomas Frank turns his attention back to the Premier League, where Tottenham host an in-form Manchester United team.

Tottenham Hotspur slipped to sixth in the Premier League following a very disappointing 0-1 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend, but they made amends in midweek by hammering FC Copenhagen 4-0 in the Champions League.

While the scoreline didn’t do justice to the quality of attacking football on display, it was still the kind of performance Thomas Frank had promised and also one that included a Puskas-worthy goal from Micky van de Ven. Spurs went down to ten men, played even better afterwards, and it could’ve been Spurs’ biggest Champions League win if not for Richarlison’s missed penalty in stoppage time.

It was also something the home supporters much needed after enduring weeks of poor football. The Europa League champions haven’t won a single Premier League home game since the 3-0 opening-day win over Burnley, and that record will be weighing on them heavily.

As for Manchester United, the Europa League runners-up who lost their Champions League spot to Spurs last season, have found form again.

Ruben Amorim’s side went unbeaten through October, winning three of their last four games, including a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Anfield. Their recent 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at the weekend helped them climb to eighth, level on 17 points with Tottenham, only behind on goal difference.

Tottenham vs Man United: Head-to-head record

The last time these two met was on that unforgettable night in Bilbao when Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final under Ange Postecoglou, ending Spurs’ 17-year wait for silverware.

That victory capped off a remarkable run of dominance, as Spurs beat United in all four meetings last season. In fact, Manchester United are winless in their last seven encounters with Tottenham in all competitions; a streak that Thomas Frank will be determined to extend.

Tottenham team news

Mohammed Kudus missed the midweek clash with Copenhagen due to a minor knock, and Thomas Frank revealed it is touch-and-go whether he will face Man United.

Lucas Bergvall, however, will sit out after suffering a concussion early in the Chelsea game, following concussion protocols.

Tottenham still have a lengthy absentee list with Archie Gray, Ben Davies, Kota Takai, Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, and Dominic Solanke all sidelined, although the latter two are expected to return after the international break.

On a brighter note, Cristian Romero, Wilson Odobert, and Destiny Udogie all made their comebacks and impressed in midweek.

Manchester United team news

The only confirmed absentee for the Red Devils remains Lisandro Martinez, who continues his recovery from a long-term ACL injury. Apart from that, Ruben Amorim has a fully fit squad to choose from.

Predicted Tottenham line-up

Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Bentancur, Simons; Johnson, Kolo Muani, Odobert.

There’s a chance Djed Spence could come in for either Pedro Porro or Destiny Udogie, while Rodrigo Bentancur, who was arguably Spurs’ best performer against Copenhagen, could start over Pape Matar Sarr. If there’s even the slightest doubt about Kudus’ fitness, expect Brennan Johnson to slot in.

Our prediction

Ruben Amorim has yet to taste victory against Tottenham since taking over at Manchester United and will be desperate to break that streak, especially after last season’s Europa League heartbreak.

United’s recent form will give them confidence, but Tottenham’s response in Europe might just have reignited their spark.

Thomas Frank’s men will want to channel that Champions League energy into their league form, particularly at home, where they’ve struggled for weeks.

Xavi Simons will be one to watch after his outstanding performance against Copenhagen; he was visibly frustrated to be subbed off due to Brennan Johnson’s red card and will be eager to prove he can replicate that level in the Premier League.

For United, Bryan Mbeumo, who was once Spurs’ top summer target before choosing Old Trafford, has been their standout player this season. His partnership with Bruno Fernandes and Matheus Cunha has been really important to United’s threat in their build-up and counters.

Description

Pedro Porro has told his Tottenham teammates how to react to the intense criticism that is being levelled at them as individuals and collectively.

Pundits have not held back on Spurs and some of their players over recent weeks, with the loss to Chelsea attracting huge swaths of criticism.

Tottenham have been told they look like a confused side under Thomas Frank, while one pundit even remarked that Spurs look like a League Two team.

Some individuals have also been blasted by various media figures, none more so than Xavi Simons, who has already been written off as a flop.

Pedro Porro tells Tottenham teammates to shut out outside noise

The Spurs full-back is no stranger to being on the receiving end of harsh criticism, with Tim Sherwood ripping Porro to shreds for his defending during the Spaniard’s early days at Tottenham.

The 26-year-old has proven his critics wrong over the last few years, and he has now revealed that he accomplished that by simply not paying any attention to what is being written or said about him.

Pedro Porro said on Tottenham’s matchday programme [23:10, 5/11/2025]: “These competitions, as everyone knows, are very physical to be playing in. I try not to think about other people’s opinions and what they think of me from the outside.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“My focus is entirely on giving my best and helping the team out at all times. That’s the way you can stay on it through a long season, focus on your own performances, and shut out everything else.”

Porro admits he is hungry to win more trophies at Spurs

The former Sporting Lisbon man also reflected on what winning the Europa League back in May meant to him personally and the club.

Porro admitted that the trophy has made him hungrier to pick up more medals at Spurs and confessed that he and his teammates are determined to make a mark in the Champions League this season.

When asked for his best moment at Tottenham, the Spain international responded: “Well, I would say, what stands out most is the title [Europa League]. It’s a nice moment here at the club and for me because I haven’t won a title for a long time.

“It’s also my first European title, and that moment will stick with me as it’s the most beautiful. Then, whenever you win a title, you always want more. For the group, it was very important to win that title. For many, it was their first, and that gives you that energy and positivity to keep winning.

“We were also very close to winning the Super Cup. I think the good performance in the Super Cup was a positive thing for us, but it’s a game I think personally we should’ve gone on to win. But football is like that, sometimes it escapes you, but for the group, it’s important, and it’s going to stay that way. When you win one, you always want more.”

When asked about playing in the Champions League, Porro said: “It’s really incredible because it’s the biggest competition in European football and playing Champions League always gives you the will to take a step higher when competing in one of the biggest stages in the world.”

Description

An experienced Premier League star who Tottenham tried to sign during the summer transfer window is now on the market, and the competition for his signature is intensifying.

It has been widely reported that the Lilywhites want to add a top-class centre-back to their squad in January, and several Premier League stars are thought to be on the club’s radar.

It has been suggested that Tottenham have looked at Brentford’s Nathan Collins and Leeds United’s Pascal Struijk ahead of January.

Over recent days, it has emerged that Spurs are one of several Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Ezri Konsa, while several sources continue to report that Thomas Frank’s men are big fans of Jarrad Branthwaite.

Man City star wanted by Tottenham is available in January

During the summer transfer window, it was reported that Tottenham explored a move for Nathan Ake, but the defender ended up staying put at Man City.

CaughtOffside now claim that City are willing to cash in on Ake for a fee of around €30m-€35m (£26.4m-£30.8m) during the upcoming transfer window.

This has sparked interest in several clubs, with Inter Milan, Juventus and Crystal Palace all keen on signing the 30-year-old.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Inter and Juve value Ake’s tactical versatility, while Palace see the former Bournemouth as a readymade replacement for Marc Guehi if he leaves Selhurst Park.

What Nathan Ake is thinking about his future

The report makes no mention of Tottenham Hotspur signalling an interest in the City star, and there might be a good reason for that.

CaughtOffside say that Ake is keen to leave the Etihad Stadium, and he wants to move to a side which can guarantee him regular starts.

The experienced Premier League defender believes that he needs to play regularly in order to make it into the Netherlands’ squad for the upcoming World Cup.

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on a Serie A centre-back, and they have an opportunity to complete a deal for him in January.

Spurs are thought to be keen on adding another top-class centre-back to their squad, given the injury record of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.

Several Premier League centre-backs have been mooted as targets for Tottenham, and according to several sources, the latest name on Spurs’ wishlist is Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.

Now, a report from Italy has claimed that a Serie A defender, who could be on the shop window, has also emerged as a target for the Lilywhites.

Inter Milan star may be open to a Tottenham switch in January

According to Gazzetta dello Sport Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck is also on the North London club’s radar.

The report says that Bisseck finds the prospect of a move to Tottenham Hotspur ‘intriguing’ and his entourage may be willing to make the deal happen.

It is revealed that the German international is ‘eager to test himself in the Premier League‘ after spending two and a half years with the Italian giants.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The outlet explains that West Ham offered €25m (£22m) for the centre-back in the summer, but the move failed to materialise, and now, a switch to their London rivals could become a possibility for the defender.

What is Inter’s stance on Yann Bisseck?

Bisseck has struggled for regular starts at San Siro this season, having made just three Serie A appearances so far this term.

Gazzetta say that the Nerazzurri are open to selling the 24-year-old to Tottenham in January if their asking price is met, while the player’s representatives would also welcome the move.

In fact, the report alleges that Inter chiefs Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have already started studying the market for a defender to replace Bisseck.
