Description

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have shared their views on Igor Tudor’s future after Spurs battled to a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur have been desperate for something to spark their season to life, given their struggles.

Igor Tudor was one they turned to to offer that spark following Thomas Frank’s dismissal, but four defeats in a row in his first four games left the Croat under pressure.

Spurs were reported to be working on replacements for Tudor following his struggles, with the game against Liverpool said to have been crucial.

Tottenham fans send Igor Tudor message after Liverpool draw

Tottenham avoided defeat against Arne Slot’s side thanks to a Richarlison goal, one that Tudor hopes will serve as a spark to spur Spurs on.

The Lilywhite faithful, who have had little to cheer for most of the season, have now given their verdict on whether Tudor should keep his interim manager job following the draw against Liverpool.

Many fans on social media took a united front, urging the former Juventus man to keep his place.

MORE SPURS STORIES

One fan wrote on social media that the club should stick with Tudor for now following the result.

“We have to hold with him right now, just hold. We cannot sack him after getting a draw. It was not an amazing game but it is a start and we have to build from this.”

Another supporter insisted Tudor had to keep his job after the draw.

“Absolutely. It would be insane to make a change after that.”

A third fan argued that making a managerial change now would only halt any momentum.

“Can’t sack him when we finally get a result that would help us gain momentum. It would just be like starting all over again.”

Another supporter felt the Liverpool result gave the players and manager something to build on.

“After today yes. It would be absolutely insane to get rid of him now that we have something to build on. The players will take huge confidence in themselves and in him. The last thing we need is more upheaval.”

One more fan was convinced Tudor deserved more time after the performance.

“100% should. Got the gameplan right and managed subs well. Hopefully this gives us some momentum. More of this please.”

Another supporter added that upcoming performances should determine the club’s next move. “If they put in a good shift on Wednesday and things look to be clicking, then stick.”

Spurs focus turns to Atletico Madrid and Nottingham Forest

Attention will now turn to the Champions League for Tottenham, with their clash against Atletico Madrid at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 next.

Overcoming a three-goal deficit will be a big ask for a squad depleted by injury, but it is a game many will hope to see even more fight from Tottenham.

But the interim manager is not entirely in the clear, as a defeat in the game against Nottingham Forest could spell Tudor’s end, with Spurs able to drop into the relegation zone should they fail to get a result in that match.

Sacking him after that game will afford them a chance to appoint a manager who will have some time to work with these players during the international break.

Whether Tottenham will turn to their ex-players or former managers in that case remains to be seen.

Description

Igor Tudor has offered his assessment of Tottenham’s youthful midfield pairing after their performance in the draw with Liverpool.

It was a team performance from Tottenham Hotspur in their recent outing against Liverpool on Sunday evening.

Tottenham showed some much-needed fight in that encounter, and their resilience was rewarded as Richarlison grabbed a late equaliser to earn Spurs a point.

That draw ensured Tottenham maintained their one-point lead over their relegation rivals, Nottingham Forest in 17th and West Ham United in 18th.

Spurs have also hit the often sweet 30-point mark that almost always guarantees survival, but that will not be enough this term.

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor praises Pape Matar Sarr and Archie Gray after Liverpool draw

Tudor has stated that he hopes Richarlison’s equaliser sparks Tottenham on for the rest of the season following their struggles this year.

However, while Richarlison was the goalscorer, there were a few under-the-radar performers that Tudor has now handed praise to, with Archie Gray and Pape Matar Sarr impressing for Spurs in the middle of the park and drawing praise for their energy.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to football.london about the young midfield pairing and their performance, Tudor praised their qualities but also spoke about the difficulties of working without a full squad.

“I like them very much in the Atletico game as well, in the middle. They have both things, good energy, running, even quality.

“I would like to have this consistency with the team, you know, like other coaches. Today, seeing the bench of Liverpool, it makes you feel different.

“So, without having a complete squad at the time, you cannot work on a daily basis, everything is almost impossible.

“So the job is hard to do, sometimes maybe you cannot even imagine, because you are outside, how difficult the job is to do here, and in the end it is always about results.

“So if there are no results, you know, it is always like someone who is charged, he is not probably, he is not working good, he is not good enough, but… okay.”

Spurs analysis: Pape Matar Sarr and Archie Gray numbers vs Liverpool

Tudor is not wrong in his assessment of the young midfielders, as their underlying numbers show just how immense they were against Liverpool.

Pape Sarr, in particular, was involved throughout the game, contributing defensively while also progressing the ball into the final third.

As for Gray, the teenager who has just turned twenty, also delivered an impressive display, offering composure on the ball while contributing defensively during key moments of the match.

Sarr has not had a consistent place in the Tottenham starting XI, but today he was afforded one in the absence of Joao Palhinha and Conor Gallagher.

While they are more senior players, the pair might struggle to displace the Senegalese from the team when they return to fitness.

Description

With Atletico Madrid next for Tottenham after securing a vital point against Liverpool at Anfield, we have named the Spurs XI we are desperate to see as Igor Tudor’s side aim to turn the Champions League round-of-16 second leg on its head.

Tottenham Hotspur have a big task on their hands as they look to overcome a three-goal deficit when they take to the pitch against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

Spurs were well beaten in the first leg as they struggled to contain a rampant Atleti side, who found themselves three goals up in 16 minutes and four up in 30 minutes.

However, Tottenham’s two goals at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium offer a bit of hope for a comeback when Diego Simeone’s men come visiting Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night.

But if Spurs are to turn this tie on its head, Igor Tudor must get his team selection right, and now we have named the starting XI we want to see when Spurs take to the field against Atletico Madrid.

Igor Tudor must stick to 4-4-2 wide Tottenham system against Atletico Madrid

Tottenham did put in one of their better performances under Igor Tudor when they faced Liverpool on Sunday evening.

In that match-up, Tudor reverted to a back four and looked to stretch the pitch with wide men, as opposed to his usual 3-4-2-1 narrow system.

MORE SPURS STORIES

We do want to see a similar setup on Wednesday night from Tottenham. Igor Tudor must attempt to stretch the pitch against an Atleti side that will try to stay as compact as possible.

That will involve fielding a back four once more, with two wing-backs that can offer width for Spurs, who will need to be aggressive in their attacking play.

With Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha big doubts for this one, it does feel that Tudor might fancy going with that back-four system, although Micky van de Ven’s presence could see the return of a back three.

But what we do expect to see is a Kevin Danso and Micky van de Ven pairing alongside Djed Spence and Pedro Porro as left and right-backs, respectively.

In Tottenham’s midfield, Tudor will once more have to turn to the young and energetic pairing of Pape Matar Sarr and Archie Gray.

Injuries to Joao Palhinha, Conor Gallagher and Yves Bissouma almost allow the midfield to pick itself. The pair did put in a big shift against Liverpool, covering almost every blade of grass on the pitch.

Spurs attack selection against Atletico Madrid

Tudor already admitted that his hands were forced tactically against Liverpool as he had to make several changes because of injuries.

Against the Reds, we saw Souza deployed on the right of midfield and, to the youngster’s credit, it was a solid performance, one he could very much build on.

Unfortunately, even though Spurs have no right-wingers available, Souza is ineligible for the Champions League. We would love to see Olusesi get a chance from the start.

Mathys Tel should offer some attacking threat on the left, while the forward line should be both Richarlison and Dominic Solanke, who stand as Spurs’ biggest goal threat.

In all, this is the lineup we expect to see against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie:

Description

Pedro Porro has spoken out following Tottenham Hotspur’s hard-fought draw with Liverpool, offering his backing to Igor Tudor after Spurs picked up a valuable point at Anfield.

Igor Tudor’s first month in the Tottenham Hotspur dugout was far from ideal, with the Croatian suffering a disappointing run of four defeats in a row.

However, on Sunday in the clash against Liverpool, the under-pressure Spurs interim manager finally earned his first point in the Premier League, bringing an end to his barren spell.

It was a crucial point for Tottenham, who now have a platform to build on as they look to push to avoid relegation this season.

Tottenham defender Pedro Porro praises unbelievable Spurs fans

Pedro Porro has been vocal during Spurs’ recent struggles, even opening up on how he felt about the past defeats and making it clear that he is a fan of Tottenham as well.

Today, the Spaniard was among those who put in the hard yards as Spurs fought hard to avoid suffering their 15th defeat this season.

Following the game, the defender reflected on the team’s performance and the importance of sticking together during a difficult period.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to Sky Sports as relayed by BBC Sport after the match, Porro highlighted the effort from the players and the support from the fans during the draw with Liverpool.

He said, “We needed to push because it was a difficult game. Today the team was good, the fans were unbelievable also and we keep going now.

“I always believe in my team. In this moment you need everyone together and today we had a good game. For now we take the point, take the positive things.”

Spurs players supporting Igor Tudor during difficult run

There are certainly positives to take from the performance against Liverpool, but the hope is that Tottenham can build on this.

Ahead of the clash against Liverpool, it was reported that Tudor could well have been sacked had he suffered defeat, with Spurs understood to have been searching for replacements.

However, with a point earned, the Croat’s spot in the dugout should be secure for now, and Porro has now sent a message of support to his boss.

Speaking about whether Igor Tudor deserves credit for the tactical approach in the game, Porro explained that the players followed the manager’s instructions and remain committed to playing for him.

He added, “We needed to follow the plan for today. My team-mates did the same, in this moment we knew we had to stay 1-0 in the second half and this was important for the game. We are playing for the manager and this is important for everyone now.”

Igor Tudor has explained the significance of Richarlison’s strike against Liverpool in the grand scheme of things as Tottenham continue their fight against relegation.

Tottenham Hotspur put in the hard yards as they continue their fight to secure their Premier League status next season.

This evening saw Spurs take on Liverpool, a side gunning for a Champions League place, at Anfield – a ground Tottenham have not won at since 2011.

While that streak continues, Spurs did earn a vital point after Richarlison struck in the closing stages to keep Tottenham’s Premier League survival hopes alive.

Tottenham boss Igor Tudor reacts to Richarlison equaliser against Liverpool

There is no denying that Tottenham have looked a side devoid of confidence, given their barren run in the league since 2026.

Spurs remain winless this year, but today’s draw should be massive as they finally ended their run of four defeats in a row.

Igor Tudor has now opened up on just how significant Richarlison’s strike was and whether the moment can help Spurs build momentum moving forward.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Responding to a question about whether Richarlison’s equaliser could be the moment that kicks Tottenham on, Tudor explained that the result was important but stressed that there is still a long road ahead in the club’s fight for survival.

He told football.london: “Yeah, yeah, we hope, you know. It’s a long way to our goal, which is to stay in the Premier League, still a lot of games to play, but today was important to show what they showed today, independently of the result.

“As I said, when you are honest, you need to be honest, give everything, then the football will give you back.

“That was my words before the game, so this happened today. As I said, it was not easy, and now we need to see now what to do in these two games in front of us, to see who is able to play, who is not able to play, who is injured, who is not injured, so it’s not easy.

“We continue to have problems from that point of view, the numbers, but that’s why this result is even more important.”

Spurs face Atletico Madrid before key Nottingham Forest clash

Spurs’ attention is set to turn to continental affairs following their latest draw as they look to overcome a three-goal deficit in their second-leg tie against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

That is a big ask, but to keep some belief within the group, avoiding a heavy defeat should be one of the focuses for Tudor’s men, who will still have sight of next weekend’s big Premier League encounter with Nottingham Forest.

Description

Igor Tudor has explained the reason he was forced into a late tactical rethink ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur earned a vital point in their quest to avoid relegation when they travelled to Anfield to take on Liverpool.

Igor Tudor’s men found themselves a goal down for large spells of the game following Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick, one that Guglielmo Vicario should have done better to save.

However, a resilient Spurs side showed some much-needed fight and secured a point despite the difficult circumstances they came into the game in.

Igor Tudor explains Tottenham tactical change before Liverpool draw

Thirteen senior players were unavailable for selection for Tudor against Liverpool, and that prompted a sudden change in approach, according to the Spurs boss.

We saw Souza, a left-back by trade, featuring on the right wing as Tudor – who prefers a much narrower setup with two strikers – was forced to adapt.

Speaking to football.london, the Tottenham boss explained how late changes to his squad forced him to alter both the team and the system without proper preparation.

MORE SPURS STORIES

He said: “We were preparing one training session with Conor [Gallagher] in the middle, and other solutions, but we needed to change today, so it was a system, it was a team putting in without training.

“Let’s say, two, three positions were changed, because it totally happened like this, you know, you prepare two trainings, then in the morning the team you didn’t prepare, because someone is out, so this, again, to repeat, is even more value of this victory to the guys.

“Congratulations to the guys, they were happy there also, you know, team spirit, that was the key of this point.”

Spurs point relieves pressure on Igor Tudor after difficult start

The Tottenham boss came into the game under immense pressure following his run of four defeats in a row.

It was reported that Tudor could have been sacked after the Liverpool game had he suffered a defeat, as Spurs aim to avoid the drop.

The Croat instead earned his first point in the Premier League and ended the run of four defeats following a difficult first month as boss.

Speaking about what it meant to finally pick up a point in the league, Tudor admitted the result brought relief and gave the players a boost in confidence.

Reflecting on the moment, the Tottenham manager said: “Nice! Nice, some fresh air, some good things for the confidence of the players, everyone again around the club and especially the fans.

“Good team spirit, seeing the circumstances the team was in today, coming here at Anfield with 12 [outfield] players, what we already know.

“So this is something big, we stayed in the game, we believed, I felt that we could score the goal, the players also felt it, so, ok, it’s nice.”

Description

Tottenham Hotspur could receive a timely boost ahead of their crucial Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest, with several players potentially returning to ease the club’s ongoing injury crisis.

Tottenham Hotspur went into their Premier League game against Liverpool with a whopping 13 first-team players out and unavailable for selection.

Yet in the clash against the Reds, we learned that this Spurs side still has some fight in them, as they battle with Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Leeds United to avoid the drop.

With a single point earned from their 1-1 draw with Liverpool, Tottenham are still in 16th but are level on points with both Forest and the Hammers.

Next week, Spurs take on Nottingham Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is a pivotal game in the relegation fight.

A victory there and some daylight is created between themselves and the bottom three, but a loss could send them below those dotted lines.

Tottenham will need all the help they can get, and they could potentially see five of their players return to the side against Forest.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tottenham could welcome Cristian Romero and Joao Palhinha back from concussion

Spurs were hoping that they would welcome their captain back to the side against Liverpool following his four-game ban after his sending-off against Manchester United a few weeks ago.

However, that return was delayed due to concussion protocols following Cristian Romero‘s head clash with Joao Palhinha in the tie against Atletico Madrid last Tuesday.

Having missed the Liverpool game, the pair could return for Spurs for their all-important six-pointer against Nottingham Forest next weekend.

Spurs could have Conor Gallagher back after illness

Igor Tudor relayed ahead of the game against Liverpool that Conor Gallagher was a doubt because of a fever.

The former Atleti man was not included in the Spurs starting XI against the Reds, confirming his absence.

With it being an illness, one would expect it will not keep him out for too long. He could be back for the Atleti clash and, if he misses that encounter, then he could return on Sunday.

Spurs hopeful Destiny Udogie will return from injury

While Tudor broke the bad news that four other players were set to be unavailable ahead of the Liverpool clash, there was some positive news.

The Croat stated that Udogie could return for Tottenham against Forest, but he would miss the games against Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.

The Italian full-back has been out for about a month now, having been substituted after picking up a hamstring problem against United.

His return will be a big boost for Spurs down that left flank as he will bring much-needed balance to attacks, given that he is left-footed.

Tottenham set for Micky van de Ven return after suspension

It was a makeshift backline against Liverpool with Radu Dragusin and Kevin Danso lining up at the back for Spurs.

The pair held their own and conceded just the one goal, a strike that did not come from open play.

However, some normality should return next week as Micky van de Ven is expected to be available, having completed his suspension following the red card he picked up in the game against Crystal Palace.

If he returns and Romero is passed fit, Tottenham could have their starting backline available for the first time since the United game under Frank.

The Dutchman also represents the only player who is absent, not because of injury.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur ended their four-game winless run in all competitions with a draw against Liverpool to keep their Premier League survival hopes alive.

Here are five things we learned from Liverpool 1-1 Tottenham.

Tottenham name just seven substitutes amid injury crisis

Tonight was a pivotal one for Tottenham Hotspur in their quest to beat the drop, or at least stay above the dotted line.

Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Leeds United all managed to take away a point from their respective games; for Spurs, the task was to avoid defeat.

They managed that, but there is no denying just how depleted the squad is at the moment. A whopping 13 players out for the Liverpool clash forced Igor Tudor to name a rather trimmed bench.

On the substitute bench comprising just seven players, we had two goalkeepers, two senior players, and several academy players.

Tottenham will no doubt be hoping for some respite come next week against Nottingham Forest.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs injuries force Igor Tudor to start Souza at right wing

Still on the injuries affecting the squad, Tudor had to get creative in dealing with what is a crisis. At the moment, Spurs are short of wingers, and that has been the case for a while now.

We have often seen Tottenham go a lot more narrow in the absence of Mohammed Kudus, but this evening the interim boss opted for some width and turned to new signing Souza on the right.

He did put in a decent shift out wide, even when he was barely supported by his full-back, Pedro Porro.

The decision to sell Brennan Johnson and not bring in more depth on the wings looks very, very costly each time.

Kudus is obviously nearing a return now, and that should ease some of the burden on the squad. Fingers crossed, he is back sooner rather than later.

Another Guglielmo Vicario error hands Liverpool opener

It sure has been a difficult week for Spurs goalkeepers. Last week, it was Antonin Kinsky in goal with two costly errors in the first leg of the Champions League tie.

While Tudor stated that the Czech international could still feature for Tottenham, he instead opted to have Guglielmo Vicario back in goal for this one.

But it was yet the same story for the former Juventus manager, as Vicario’s positioning for Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick did not do him any favours.

He left far too much space to his right and failed to get a strong hand on the ball. The goalkeeping position is one that the Croat is far from pleased with, given his recent selections.

Tottenham show fight and resilience in Liverpool draw

A lot has been made about the mentality of this Tottenham side and whether they have what it takes to dig deep and fight for Premier League survival.

Most of their displays have been far from good enough in both quality and effort, but today they finally showed that there is some fight left in them.

The likes of Richarlison and Archie Gray have long been praised for their fighting spirit, but it looks like the rest of the squad now know that they need to compete and put the work in if they are to stay in this division.

It was not only a good point, but one that brought an end to their four defeats in a row. The hope now is that they build on this going into their next games.

Callum Olusesi makes Premier League debut as Spurs finally turn to youth

There have been calls for Tottenham to turn to their youth players during this injury crisis. In a time when Spurs are in desperate need of energy, positivity, and able bodies, the likes of Luca Williams-Barnett have been ignored.

Before today, those calls had fallen on deaf ears. But in the 76th minute, we saw Callum Olusesi come on for his Premier League debut. When he came on, he added so much positive energy to that midfield during the closing stages.

Another youngster was also introduced, James Rowswell, with the academy star earning his first Premier League start.

If the injury crisis continues further, then this is a good solution to get so much-needed drive in the closing moments, while also offering these young players an opportunity to make a huge impact for their club.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their run of Premier League defeats by earning a rare point at Anfield, and fans will hope it kickstarts a gritty relegation fight. Let’s take a look at our Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool player ratings.

Guglielmo Vicario – 3 – Made a couple of smart stops throughout the game, but he let Tottenham down massively when he could only get a weak hand to Dominik Szoboszlai’s free-kick. It was pretty much down the middle of the goal!

Pedro Porro – 5 – Defensively, he struggled against the young Rio Ngumoha all game long. Going the other way, he at least offered a few decent crosses into the box, but not his usual standard.

Kevin Danso – 8 – A performance worthy of a clean sheet. Danso won his aerial duels, blocked some dangerous shots, and covered the space in behind so well in the closing stages. Deserved more.

Radu Dragusin – 4 – Not good enough on or off the ball. Looks lost when he is made to run back towards his own goal and gave the ball away far too often. Has the characteristics to thrive in a backs-to-the-wall relegation scrap, but needs to show more.

Djed Spence – 8 – Barely lost a single duel against Frimpong. Had more trouble against Salah after he came on, but Spence was a real asset for Tottenham at both ends of the pitch. Seemed strange to sub him off early.

Souza – 6 – Tottenham’s new 18-year-old left-back playing right-wing away at Anfield. Who had that on their 2026 bingo card? He started brightly with a swerving shot that troubled Allisson. Did a lot of good defensive work to double up on Rio.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Archie Gray – 7 – Give this lad the armband next season, regardless of what league Tottenham are in. Good game or bad game, he gives everything, which is the bare minimum required in a relegation scrap. A team full of Archie Grays gets out of this predicament on willpower alone.

Pape Sarr – 6 – Doesn’t seem to thrive in a two-man midfield. He is at his best when he has the freedom to press high and use his limitless engine. Not quite technical enough (yet) to stand out in a 2v2 battle, but you can’t fault his effort.

Mathys Tel – 7 – Tottenham don’t have enough attackers like Tel. No matter what form he is in, he will always take his man on. Spurs struggle to create chances, but things always look a little brighter and more positive with the Frenchman on the pitch.

Dominic Solanke – 7 – Spurs have missed him so much. It wasn’t so much his goals today, but his ability to win headers, trap the ball, and bring others into play. It’s the difference between getting hemmed in and actually fighting your way up the pitch. Deserves a lot of credit.

Richarlison – 8 – For 89 minutes, it looked like a frustrating performance from Richy. He put everything on the line and carved out four good goal-scoring chances, but couldn’t quite convert. Yet he turned up when Spurs needed him most and continued his fine Anfield record. Just how important could that tap-in be?

Substitutes:

Xavi Simons – 7 – He took a while to grow into the game, but Simons thrived in that pocket between midfield and attack in the closing stages as Spurs pushed for a win. Really helped to control the game and pin Liverpool back.

Randal Kolo Muani – 7 – I have questioned his work ethic in recent weeks, as a loan player who will not be impacted by relegation. However, today, he proved me wrong. Worked his socks off and created the equaliser through sheer strength and determination.

Callum Olusesi – 7 – A Premier League debut to celebrate. Tottenham have not used their youth enough to ease the injury strain this season, and Olusesi is a perfect example of that. He added so much positive energy into that midfield for the closing stages.

Description

The first half of Premier League action has just come to a close between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Both sides are now preparing to head back onto the pitch for the second half, and we have analysed the performances of the Tottenham players who have featured in the first half on Merseyside.

Tottenham trail Liverpool XXXXX at the break, with

How the Spurs players rated in the first half vs Liverpool

Below, we have given each Tottenham player a performance rating on a scale of 0-10, with 10 highest score achievable for an impressive performance.

Guglielmo Vicario – 4

Back in goal having started on the bench at Atletico. He should have saved the free-kick, left too much space to his right and failed to get a strong hand to the ball. Did better to tip Gakpo’s shot onto the post.

Pedro Porro – 5

Has not had a massive amount to do defensively, but seems to have been tasked with not being allowed to get forward to support Souza in attacking phases.

Kevin Danso – 5

With Liverpool attacking down the flanks, rather than through the middle, he has not had a massive amount to do. Made a good block early on.

Radu Dragusin – 5

No Ekitike on the bench for Liverpool, he has not had to deal with a physical threat from the home side.

Djed Spence – 6

Has had a battle on his hands down the left against Frimpong.

Archie Gray – 5

Playing in his familar central midfield role but has been unable to influence matters.

Pape Matar Sarr – 5

Another who in the midfield role has been mostly resigned to chasing Liverpool in possession.

Souza – 6

The young left back was asked to operate as a right winger. Saw an early long-range effort tipped over the bar by Allison.

Mathys Tel – 6

Playing down the left side of the attack, has seen the ball but has come up against an in-form Dominik Szoboszlai. You can’t fault his work rate.

Richarlison – 5

Playing as the focal point of Tottenham’s attacking three, no clear opportunities for the Brazilian. Would have been relieved to see Gakpo’s shot hit the post after he lost possession moments earlier. Headed wide just before half time and thought he had grabbed a late equaliser.

Dominic Solanke – 5

Broke in behind the Liverpool defence early on, but was unable to make it count.
