Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez emerges as a target for Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur could be set for big changes this summer, with Ange Postecoglou’s future in North London now looking increasingly in doubt.

Despite guiding the club to their first trophy after more than 17 long years, Ange Postecoglou is not assured of his position at Spurs. They did a great job by winning the Europa League, but concerns remain over their league form that saw the Lilywhites finish just a spot above the three relegated teams.

The reliable Fabrizio Romano stated on Monday that a decision on the Australian’s future will be delivered very soon. Off the pitch, though, work continues to rebuild the squad that endured a disastrous domestic 2024/25 season. There are several areas of the pitch that needs reinforcing before the new campaign kicks off.

One of them is the defence, which was all over the place for large parts thanks to a combination of persistent injury problems and poor form of key players. There was no stability whatsoever at the back, with Spurs managing only six clean sheets during the entire league campaign.

The goalkeeping unit also witnessed problems. Guglielmo Vicario spent over three months on the sidelines following an ankle fracture. Fraser Forster was tasked with deputising for the injured Vicario but he made alarming mistakes. This led to the club chiefs to act in the transfer market and bring in youngster Antonin Kinsky.

Kinsky made a bright start to life at N17, keeping a clean sheet in his very first game against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. However, he started showing his inexperience later on and made several errors leading to cheap goals. Vicario fortunately recovered in time and helped Spurs keep a clean sheet in the Europa League final win over Manchester United in Bilbao.

Now, Tottenham have been alerted to the availability of one goalkeeper from the Premier League. According to a report from Football Insider, Emiliano Martinez is looking to leave Aston Villa this summer, and Tottenham could join Manchester United in the race for his signature. The Aston Villa glovesman has already rejected a move to Saudi Arabia as he is holding out for a move to a European club and would be open to joining another Premier League club.

Emiliano Martinez has slowly but surely become one of the best goalkeepers in the world after swapping Arsenal for Aston Villa in 2020, impressing in the Premier League while also helping Argentina win the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. As such, the 32-year-old has often been linked with top European clubs. The likelihood of him leaving Villa after five years is very high this summer.

Spurs’ interest in the Argentinean international would raise concerns over the long-term future of Vicario. Martinez remains open to joining a Premier League club but may not swap Villa for Spurs, because of his former allegiance with Arsenal. However, if he is willing to move to N17, Tottenham must do everything possible to get him in as the 32-year-old would be an instant upgrade over Vicario.

That said, it remains to be seen how concrete is the Lilywhites’ interest in signing a goalkeeper this summer transfer window, especially the Villa star.

Tottenham plotting swoop for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite - To The Lane And Back
Description

Tottenham are pursuing a move for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite

Tottenham Hotspur are set to be in the market for several new players this summer.

The Lilywhites endured a catastrophic domestic 2024/25 campaign but managed to salvage it by winning the Europa League trophy. By doing so, they also joined their Premier League rivals Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United to qualify for the Champions League.

That could open the door for Spurs to show more ambition in the transfer market, with the Champions League traditionally a hugely attractive proposition for ambitious players. Ange Postecoglou had to deal with an injury crisis this past campaign, especially in defence.

First-choice centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven spent majority of the campaign on the sidelines with injury issues, resulting in lack of stability and leadership at the back. Their back-up Radu Dragusin sustained an ACL rupture in February, while Kevin Danso, whose loan move from RC Lens became permanent at the start of June, also was out for over a month with a hamstring issue.

Thus, the centre-back is an area of the squad that Tottenham look likely to strengthen in the summer transfer window. Now, according to a report from The Times, Tottenham are considering a move for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Rated as one of the Premier League’s brightest young central defenders, Jarrad Branthwaite blew hot and cold during the 2024/25 season but managed to play a vital role in the impressive turnaround overseen by David Moyes from January. The Toffees finished 13th in the table and played some eye-catching brand of football in Moyes’ fifth months at the helm following his return to Goodison Park.

However, the Scottish tactician now has a fight on his hands to keep hold of Branthwaite. Ideally, Everton remain in good position as far as the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) is concerned, and with the 22-year-old Englishman under contract until 2027 with the club having the option of extending his stay by an additional 12 months (Transfermarkt), they are set to demand a substantial fee for his services this summer.

Tottenham’s transfer kitty has been boosted by their return to the Champions League after a three-year hiatus, so they should not have problems to spend big to address a problematic area of the squad. At 22, Branthwaite appears to be the current and future of the England squad and would enhance Spurs’ defensive options. He is a tall, strong and physically intimidating defender with good technical ability on the ball, whilst can operate as a left-back when required.

With Van de Ven yet to prove his fitness across two seasons in North London, the left-footed Branthwaite would be a strong option to compete and provide cover for the Dutchman next season. Tottenham need a better and bigger squad to deal with the challenges of Champions League next term, and the acquisition of Everton’s rising star would be a smart one.

Akliouche to Tottenham - Technical fit and SWOT analysis - To The Lane And Back
Description

As the Lilywhites walk into the signing summer transfer window with a ticket for the Champions League secured, Daniel Levy will have an opportunity to have a look at the skim transfer targets, experienced ones as well as not-so-young starlets. And this is where the North Londoners can compound their transfer policy of signing young players with high potential, as this gives them an opportunity to sign some of the most talented players in world football, and this is where Maghnes Akliouche comes in…

The 23-year-old, in my opinion, should be arguably the most gifted player available in the ongoing window. Given his technical elegance complemented by his versatility, that high-upside potential makes him a signing that has the capacity to become among the best in the Premier League.

The left-footer Akliouche can play on the right wing (preferred) or left wing as well as in the attacking midfielder role.

How can Akliouche fit into the current setup at Tottenham?

Given how apt he is with his dribbling and 1v1 ability, Ange can use that flair to isolate defenders and try to unlock packed defenders (while also other players around him create overloads). Then if you see his press resistance, you can use him to allow controlled build-up even when the Lilywhites are facing aggressive press (this can be crucial in UCL games).

Moreover, if you combine his carries with his ability to lay off passes, he can carry from outside to inside before laying off channel-breaking passes into the likes of Solanke and Son.

He is someone who has the capacity to find pockets between the lines and can stretch the backline to try and open up spaces for overlaps.

And then comes defensive work rate; here I think Ange will need to work a bit with him. He is not as aggressive in counterpressing as the Australian head coach would likely demand.

Basics of how he can fit into the system at Tottenham

He can play as a right winger in a 2-3-5 attacking sequence framework. You can also slot him as an interior on the left or maybe in a wide ten role.

On that right flank, he would be raked to go from outside into the central zones, so he cuts inside on his stronger left foot, mirroring what Kulusevski offers but with more directness and unpredictability.

Then when he features in a left interior role. Akliouche can be more of a creative outlet and can combine with Udogie and Solanke in tight zones. He can drift centrally, acting as a second playmaker, complementing James Maddison.

SWOT Analysis

Strengths

He can add such tactical versatility to the current squad, given he can play RW, LW, CAM, or interior 8, giving Postecoglou tactical flexibility. Moreover, he does add that close control complemented by his quick feet and vision can become all-important in Ange’s positional system.

Moreover, he is just twenty-three (23) and comes in at a ready-to-contribute quality while having the capacity to grow into a massive star.

Weakness

As I mentioned above, he may find it difficult to struggle at the start with the physical demands that he will face in the Premier League, but his defensive work rate needs to be worked on. He is prone to dips in concentration along the ninety minutes, especially in games where his marker is marking him tightly.

Opportunities

The Algerian-French heritage prodigy will help Tottenham to add some creativity that the North Londoners haven’t had since prime Eriksen, which will go on to complement the likes of Son, Maddison, and Udogie’s progressive play.

Threats

He will take some time to adjust to the pace and power of the Premier League. Moreover, €60–70m transfer fees added with his wages could be a big blow to the North Londoners’ budget, especially given interests in his signatures from the likes of Liverpool, Newcastle, and United.

Author Opinion

Maghnes Akliouche has the potential to become a massive player in the English top tier, and if Levy wants to continue bringing in young players, then his system-fitting talent should be exactly what the Lilywhites should prioritise this window. See, the thing is he is not just a winger – he is more of a creative disruptor who has the capacity to operate in multiple zones across the attacking unit.

Opinion: Chelsea outcast could help Tottenham Hotspur unlock ‘Plan B’ - To The Lane And Back
Description

Given the fact that Ange Postecoglou’s side triumphed in the Europa League recently, it has booked Tottenham Hotspur a ticket to the Champions League, and this has now opened the door for the North Londoners to enjoy a more ambitious transfer window this summer. And given how Daniel Levy is already putting in place some eye-watering reinforcements, one name stands out to me, and it’s not really because he plays for one of Spurs’ London rivals and definitely not because he will be available at a discount but because of how he brings a game-changing versatility to the current roster: Christopher Nkunku.

The Frenchman has had a challenging time since he moved to Chelsea, given some tough luck with the injury troubles complemented by how he limitedly integrates into the system that Enzo Maresca has deployed in West London and that has the Blues looking to ship him out for a discounted price. But if I were to look at him beyond it being a market opportunity, the Paris Saint-Germain academy graduate brings a completely different dimension to the attacking setup at Hotspur Way, especially when you sit down and start comparing him with someone like Dominic Solanke.

Why Nkunku will be a tactical fit at Tottenham?

To start with, he is not just a striker; to me, he is more of a hybrid attacker given how he can play in the false 9 role or as a second striker. You can also deploy him as a wide 10, and this makes him almost custom-made to feature under Postecoglou, given how he can operate centrally, just off a main striker (like Solanke). Moreover, given how he is quite comfortable drifting into half-spaces, he can combine with the likes of Maddison or Son (and this, in a way, also ends up creating an underlapping or overlapping triangle with Udogie and Son).

The thing is, he is also smart about getting into spaces and these movements that he has break defensive lines in ways that Solanke cannot by dropping deep to overload midfield or bursting beyond the last line with very late runs.

While Solanke is your classic centre-forward profile given how the former Bournemouth striker brings hold-up play to the final third complemented by his aerial presence and ability when it comes to physical duels, Nkunku instead thrives on being more unpredictable. The Frenchman can carry the ball from deep and link seamlessly with Maddison or in wide channels. He also offers more agility and technical flair, which is ideal for getting the better of low blocks.

Why does Nkunku unlock ‘Plan B’ at Hotspur Way?

If I am to get deep down into how Ange Postecoglou plays, he likes to build fluid attacking sequences which catch out the opponents by surprise, and at the moment the current Plan A relies quite heavily on using the strengths of a classic number nine (Solanke), which is supported by the likes of Maddison, Kulusevski, and Son. But when this direct and vertical approach is passing to walls (as we have seen quite often and again against low blocks or elite pressing sides in the last season), Nkunku is being tactically versatile.

He can play as a false nine by dragging the centre-backs out of position while freeing space for runners like Son and Brennan. He is also quite good at making those rational overloads, which may end up allowing Udogie to underlap and create central chaos. And then his quick feet and ability to keep the ball kissed to his feet give Tottenham another creative asset in tight channels.

Nkunku is a type of player who doesn’t just play within the system (or a philosophical framework), but he is instead someone who disrupts the opponent’s system to open new pathways.

TTLB Opinion: Should Tottenham be worried about Van de Ven to Real Madrid or is it all agent talks?

Author Opinion: Why Tottenham must move for Nkunku right away…

Christopher Nkunku may be considered as an outcast at Stamford Bridge, but given the current roster at Hotspur Way, he is the exact type of high-ceiling and system-diversifying player that Tottenham needs. And given how he brings a sense of technical brilliance, versatility, and unpredictability to the side, it ends up giving Tottenham a Plan B that Solanke alone cannot provide.

You then pair the physicality of physicality and finishing with Nkunku’s movements; Tottenham can create a two-horse attack that has the capacity to challenge any defence on the continent.

Spurs qualification for the Champions League have given them an edge in negotiations this summer

Tottenham closed the season by lifting the Europa League trophy and securing a place in next season’s Champions League. It was an inconsistent league campaign, but the continental success papered over the cracks. Ange Postecoglou’s side, despite doubts in key stretches of the season, managed a strong finish.

The team showed a more compact block, with quick transitions and active full-backs. The fans have regained enthusiasm and the directors now feel strong enough to aim high in the market. That European momentum has given them an advantage in several negotiations and could make a difference this summer.

Tottenham want to sign Bundesliga winger for free in the summer transfer window

According to information published by FootMercato, Tottenham are increasingly optimistic about their chances of signing Leroy Sané as a free agent. The German seemed close to renewing his contract with Bayern, but he changed agent, now working with Pini Zahavi, and that altered the plans. His salary demands have grown and the Bavarian club have failed to come close to what he is asking for.

The German’s contract expires at the end of June and he could leave without a euro. Arsenal and Chelsea are keeping an eye on him, but Spurs believe they have the edge in the race. The German also has offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey, but has not made up his mind.

Tottenham must look at this option with coolness, not just enthusiasm. Sané has undisputed quality and Premier League experience, but he does not come cheap. Even if he arrives without a transfer fee, his wage bill will be high. Is it worth paying more than 12 million a year for him? Only if he is guaranteed a clear role in the system.

In Ange’s 4-3-3, Sané can operate on the left, with the freedom to cut into the centre. His one-on-one and his striking would fit in well. But if Postecoglou is replaced, the club need a technical direction that also believes in open wingers and quick attacks.

It’s not just about signing names, it’s about collective sense. The maximum value they should assume for him in wages and bonuses should not exceed 40 million gross for three years. Signing him can also mean slowing down the progression of Kulusevski or Johnson, and that requires management. Sané can make a difference, yes, but his addition requires balance. Spurs need talent, but also tactical and financial consistency.

Spurs will want to make changes to their squad in light of Champions League football

Tottenham Hotspur face the market with a smile that is hard to hide. After lifting the Europa League, Ange Postecoglou’s side secured their place in next season’s Champions League. Their season ended with clear signs of progress and personality. The team played with intensity, pace and conviction, and the Australian coach managed to get the best out of a squad that was coming off the back of some grey years.

Now, with ambition ahead and more demands on the horizon, the board is looking for profiles capable of making a difference on big nights. Talent is not enough, personality is needed. And that’s why a well-known name is appearing.

Tottenham Hotspur intensify efforts for Manchester City outcast

According to Give Me Sport, Spurs have started to take a closer look at Jack Grealish. The 29-year-old attacking midfielder from England has not performed as well at Manchester City as expected after his million-dollar signing. His individual performance this season has left doubts.

The London club could take advantage of the situationto make a move and make a bid this summer. Manchester United have also been mentioned as being interested, but for now the White Hart Lane outfit seem more determined. City, for their part, would be willing to let him go for a reasonable price if the proposal is concrete.

If Tottenham want Grealish, they must act with a cool head. Paying more than €60 million at this stage would be overkill, especially considering his productivity: 17 goals and 23 assists in 157 games. His style combines pace, dribbling and good control, but he is not the sort of player who justifies a figure in the region of 100 million today. If City were to go for that figure, the logical thing to do would be to turn around. There are more consistent wingers for less money. But if it comes down to an affordable cost, the signing might make sense.

In Ange’s system, a 4-3-3 with aggressive wingers and high-pushing midfielders, Grealish would fit in as a left winger or as a winger in a more associative role. However, he would need pace and tactical discipline. The Englishman would not be an undisputed starter from day one, but could provide pace and control when the game calls for it.

From another point of view, his experience in titles could be an intangible asset for a young squad that does not yet know what it is like to compete at the highest European level. The problem lies in the balance between what he can deliver and what he costs. And there, for now, it is still unbalanced.

Atletico Madrid express interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur’s defensive leader – Report

Romero has been linked with a move away from the Spurs this summer

The end of the season for Tottenham left mixed emotions. On the one hand, they lifted a continental title that broke a years-long drought. On the other, doubts about the future of their manager remain. While fans were celebrating on the streets of London, behind the curtain important chips were being moved.

A comment on social media from the leader of their defence, Christian Romero, rekindled an old suspicion. His message conveyed unity and commitment, but some read between the lines. The calm in the offices does not seem to last long, and there is a foreign club that continues to hover undisguised.

Tottenham could lose their defensive leader and there’s already a club ready to make a move!

Football Insider has reported that he interest from Spain’s Atletico Madrid, persists. The capital club, that have qualified for Europe’s top competition, have not given up. They have turned their attention to a key member of Postecoglou’s starting eleven, Romero.

Despite doubts about the Australian coach’s future, there is a clear desire to retain the defender. However, the temptation coming from outside is strong. The player was unquestionable during the campaign, with performances that made a difference, and still has several has his contract with the club till 2027. Even so, from Spain they believe they can convince him. The next month will be decisive for everyone in London.

From Tottenham’s point of view, selling Romero now would be a mistake, unless a bid approaching €90 million comes in. That figure would reflect his impact in defence, his leadership within the dressing room and his long-term quality. It is not just about individual quality; he underpins a defensive line that, without him, has shown cracks.

If the club opt for his departure, their will have to reformulate the whole block. The market for centre-backs does not offer immediate guarantees, and the existing candidates are either already compromised or do not have the same aggressive and technical profile.

Moreover, losing him would weaken the discourse of continuity and growth promoted by the board. From another point of view, perhaps the club could take advantage of the opportunity to rebuild with youth, thinking in the long term, if the coach leaves as well. But even in that light, letting go of their defensive leader does not seem a wise move. Ultimately, Tottenham are at a crossroads: hold on to their spine or reconfigure their structure with no immediate guarantee of success.

Tottenham are not ready to pay £55m for 19-year-old breakout English talent

Spurs have been linked to Tyler Dibling and are still interested in him

Tottenham are living a curious moment. After winning the Europa League and securing their ticket to the Champions League, the club are aiming high and looking to continue consolidating a young but ambitious project. The sporting management has shown a certain coherence in its recent signings, opting for under-23 talent with direct projection to the starting eleven.

This line of work has paid off with names such as Brennan Johnson, Van de Ven and Archie Gray. All indications are that the Londoners want to continue along this path. In this context, it comes as no surprise that Tyler Dibling’s name is once again being bandied about in the club’s offices.

Tottenham are not ready to pay £55m for 19-year-old Englishman

According to Football Insider, Tottenham remain interested in Southampton’s 19-year-old attacker Tyler Dibling, but are not looking to pay the £55m the southern club are demanding. The same source says Spurs tried to sign the Englishman in January and have not ruled out trying again this summer, albeit short of that figure.

Dibling, who has excelled in England’s youth teams, is seen as a possible addition to the team’s present and future. Despite the player’s potential, the club’s officials consider the current price tag to be out of all logic for a young player with no Premier League experience.

From my point of view, this decision makes a lot of sense. Gambling on young talent is sensible, but that doesn’t mean accepting just any figure. £55 million for a kid with limited minutes in the Championship is far from any reasonable criteria, even in this inflated market.

Tottenham have shown they can find value in smart signings, as with Bergvall and Gray, who cost far less and are already delivering results. Dibling could end up being a great player, but right now he represents more of a promise than a certainty. It is not about his quality, but about the context and the moment.

Paying that amount would break the logic that has sustained the club in its recent successes. From another angle, one could argue that if Spurs firmly believe in his talent, they should pre-empt other clubs and close the deal. But that’s where risk management comes in: there are better ways to spend £55m. Maybe in two years’ time he’ll be worth that or more, but today, with what he’s shown, he’s simply not worth it. Tottenham are right to stand firm.

TTLB Opinion: Tottenham can sign €20 million French midfielder in a low risk high reward investment - To The Lane And Back
Description

Daniel Levy is expected to be hyperactive in the ongoing summer transfer window, with the club chairman expected to bring in some high-profile players at N17 following Tottenham Hotspur’s recent Europa League triumph, and the club chairman is looking at possibilities to bring VfB Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot.

Now he is not the big-name player that the supporters in North London are screaming for, but his potential can go on to help this roster for years to come (and this fits into the transfer strategy of signing them young that the North Londoners have recently adapted). The 22-year-old Frenchman wants to leave Stuttgart in the ongoing offseason and does have a release clause in the contract with his current employers that aggregates to somewhere along €20 million.

Millot has been a key player for Stuttgart in the recently concluded campaign where he has been contributing significantly in both domestic and European competitions. And his versatile profile means he can play in multiple roles for Postecoglou in the middle of the park. You can slot him as an attacking midfielder or in a central role, providing tactical flexibility.

So what does he bring to Ange Postecoglou’s roster?

The Australian head coach likes to deploy a possession-based system (more on the dynamic side) that emphasises high pressing and quick transitions. But we saw how the former Celtic manager lacked a tempo controller in the midfield last season; Millot brings that ability to receive the ball under pressure while ensuring that the Lilywhites can control games without sacrificing verticality (especially considering how the latter is an integral part of the way the Lilywhites play under Ange).

Given his combination play and intelligence in recognising zones, you can also rotate him with Maddison and Son in the creative midfield role and left wing position, respectively. This will bring a sense of creative unpredictability in the third phase that the North Londoners are lacking.

That being said, Millot is not a marquee disruptor but more of a system fit, someone who likes to bring a sense of consistency across rotations.

Enzo Millot to Tottenham – a SWOT analysis

Strengths

He has that technical elegance about him that the current first-choice midfield options don’t have and that aids in bringing some excellent ball control and passing accuracy to the side. He also gives Ange an on-field option to execute complex tactical instructions.

Weakness

He may need to work on his frame to adapt to the more physical side of the English top tier. Millot is also not very apt in aerial challenges, and that’s something he will need to work on if he is to become an integral part of the current Lilywhites roster.

Opportunities

At €20 million, he is a cost-effective investment who has the potential to become a top-quality player (given his potential) and possesses a high resale value. Plus, given how he is already really intelligent when it comes to tactical understanding, Enzo can take that to the next level under Postecoglou.

Threats

The likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid have also expressed interest in his signature, which could end up complicating negotiations for Daniel Levy.

Enzo Millot looks like a promising opportunity that can bolster the midfield at Hotspur Way given how he brings a sense of tactical versatility and intelligence in the middle of the park. Moreover, given the payer he is and can become, he does fit into the North Londoners.

Ben Davies might stay at Tottenham for another year as club trigger one-year extension

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has finally managed to win his first major trophy at N17 this season. The Welshman is the longest serving player in the squad for the Lilywhites and has been a consistent performer for the North London club throughout the years. The centre-back has been through all the ups and downs at Hotspur Way and he also came close to lifting the Champions League in 2019.

However, after a series of near misses during his time at Spurs, the 32-year-old won his first silverware with the club after they beat Manchester United in the Europa League final this season. The Welshman has also played a crucial part for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season after many key defenders were injured midway through the campaign.

As per Sofascore, Davies racked up 28 appearances in all competitions this season for Big Ange’s side. It is also fair to say that the ex-Swansea City star did more than okay while featuring for the Lilywhites and was one of the very few players who performed consistently for the side in what has been a disastrous domestic campaign.

Tottenham stalwart Ben Davies looks set to stay at N17

Tottenham have endured a tough domestic campaign under Ange Postecoglou. The Lilywhites have been forced to adopt the ‘sell-to-buy’ policy in the summer due to the poor league position. Amidst all the celebrations of the Europa League success, it is important for the club’s hierarchy to not get complacent in the summer. A major squad overhaul is needed and the club needs to cash in on underperforming players immediately.

As per Mail Online, Tottenham are set to trigger the one-year extension in Ben Davies’s contract in the coming days. The Lilywhites value the defender’s experience and believe the 32-year-old still has something to offer for Ange Postecoglou’s side next season. Daniel Levy is also aware of the fact that Spurs might need defensive depth next season as Ange’s men would compete in Europe as well.

The aforementioned report also states that Leeds United are also interested in Davies’ services and want to bring the defender to Elland Road in the summer. Daniel Farke’s side managed to achieve automatic promotion to the Premier League this season. And they are looking to sign the Spurs centre-back to boost their defensive ranks to achieve their goal of surviving Premier League relegation next year.

It is fair to say that the decision to extend Ben Davies’ contract at N17 is certainly questionable. The Wales international has nothing left to give and he has also failed to make the centre-back spot his own under several managers at the club. Keeping the 32-year-old at Hotspur Way would mean that someone else with more potential and higher ceiling would have to make way in the summer.

But it can also be said that the Ben Davies’ experience will matter a lot heading into next season as Ange Postecoglou’s men will be competing on four different fronts. The Spurs No.33 is known for supporting young players and has a big say in the dressing room. So, losing the ex-Swansea defender would be a risky move as the Lilywhites would lose out on an extra defender next season.
