Tottenham's dream XI under Thomas Frank after five exciting signings

Tottenham could be set for a productive summer window after making rapid progress in their pursuit of Thomas Frank. The current Brentford boss emerged as the frontrunner to replace Ange Postecoglou immediately after the Aussie was relieved of his duties. A deal is thought to be close, with the Daily Mail reporting that Frank could be unveiled within a matter of days.
His arrival in north London could kickstart an exciting summer for Tottenham, who are in desperate need of reinforcements. They will need to strengthen in order to avoid a repeat of their lowly Premier League finish in the season just gone. A number of top players have already been linked with Spurs, but Frank's arrival in the dugout could speed up their recruitment process.

Goalkeeper - Vicario
Guglielmo Vicario looks set to keep his place between the sticks at Tottenham, with no reason for the club to seek a new first-choice goalkeeper. He has proven himself as a useful stopper and should be allowed to continue as their last line of defence.
Their money would be better spent elsewhere, given that Frank will have more pressing issues which need to be addressed.
Defence - Porro, Guehi, Van de Ven, Udogie
Tottenham's back four is already sorted with the exception of the centre-back spot alongside Micky van den Ven. Cristian Romero has been linked with an exit and will need to be replaced with a solid alternative if he leaves north London this summer.
Marc Guehi would be the ideal player for Spurs, having shown that he can mix it against the Premier League's best attackers. A move would allow him to stay close to home without relocating to a different part of the country, making it an attractive proposition.
He could also be signed at a discounted fee with his contract expiring in 2026.

Midfield - Hjulmand, Wharton, Maddison
Sporting anchor Morten Hjulmand would be the perfect profile of deep-lying midfielder for Tottenham. He shares a Danish connection with Frank and has already been linked with Spurs, with TEAMtalk reporting that a move could cost around £50million.
Adam Wharton, meanwhile, is primed and ready to excel in a central role for a top Premier League side. If a deal can be done with Crystal Palace, he could play behind James Maddison as part of a formidable midfield trio.
Attack - Mbeumo, Grealish, Solanke
Tottenham desperately need more firepower in attack and they would get exactly that by pulling off a move for Bryan Mbeumo. He has also been linked with Manchester United but could be tempted to follow Frank across the capital instead.
Jack Grealish, who has been tipped to leave Manchester City, is also said to be a target for several clubs. If a loan move can be engineered, he would be a low-risk and potentially high-reward option to play off Dominic Solanke up top.
