Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the opportunity to sign the Swiss international winger Noah Okafor, as per TBR Football.

The 24-year-old has not been a regular starter for AC Milan and he will be looking to get his career back on track with regular football. A move to the Premier League could be an exciting opportunity, and Tottenham might be able to provide him with the platform he needs.

Spurs need more quality in the attack and players like Timo Werner have not been able to deliver. Richarlison has not been able to contribute this season either. Signing a versatile attacker like Okafor could prove to be a wise decision. The 24-year-old has shown his quality over the years and he could prove to be a quality addition. He will add goals, pace and flair to the side.

Regular football in England could help him discover his peak form as well. Spurs are unlikely to spend a substantial amount of money this month and they will be hunting for bargains. They tried to sign Randal Kola Muani on loan from PSG, but the player has opted to join Juventus instead. Okafor is likely to be available for a nominal investment as well, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal across the line.

They have had a mediocre season so far and they will look to bounce back strongly. Signing quality players in January will certainly help them improve. The 24-year-old AC Milan winger will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League if the transfer goes through. The opportunity to play in England can be quite attractive for most players, and the Swiss International will certainly look to make his mark at Tottenham.

Tottenham warned against €50m transfer amid "bad business" concerns

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin has recently been linked with a move away, with PSG reportedly evaluating a €50 million offer for the Romanian centre-back during the January window.

While the financial windfall is tempting, former Spurs scout Bryan King has cautioned against letting Dragusin leave, especially given Tottenham’s current defensive injuries.

Tottenham have faced a defensive crisis this season, with injuries sidelining first-choice centre-backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, as well as reliable backup Ben Davies. These setbacks have thrust Dragusin into a critical role within Ange Postecoglou’s backline.

Although the Romanian’s performances have been inconsistent, his presence has provided much-needed stability in a defence stretched thin.

PSG’s willingness to pay €50 million highlights Dragusin’s potential, with the French giants reportedly seeing him as a long-term solution for their backline.

Tottenham urged against selling Radu Dragusin this window

King, however, believes that the Premier League’s intensity has exposed some of Dragusin’s weaknesses and that Ligue 1 might be a better fit for the young defender.

But despite the allure of a significant profit, King has urged the club against selling the young defender, warning that selling him now could leave Spurs dangerously short on defensive options.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:

“Spurs can’t afford to let him [Dragusin] go right now.

“You’ve got your two centre-backs injured, you’ve got an 18-year-old playing at centre-back, and you’ve got Drăgușin, who isn’t good enough. There is still time in the winter window. However, at this moment in time, getting rid of the player you brought in as cover when your two main centre-backs are injured, is bad business.

“I’m shocked that PSG would be willing to pay £42million for him. However, as far as I am concerned it would be easier for him to play in France than in the Premier League.”

Dragusin joined Tottenham in January 2024, turning down Bayern Munich to make a €25 million move from Genoa. The deal made him the most expensive Romanian footballer in history.

Initially, Dragusin struggled to secure regular playing time due to the dominance of Romero and Van de Ven.

However, this season injuries to Tottenham’s defensive mainstays has given the Romanian a chance to prove himself. While his adaptation to the Premier League has been challenging, Dragusin has grown in confidence recently and has provided crucial cover during a difficult period for the club.

Chris Sutton makes interesting Tottenham vs Everton prediction

Tottenham aim to turn their fortunes around as they prepare for a vital Premier League encounter against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday.

Currently sitting 14th in the table, Spurs have endured a tough run of form, losing four of their last five league matches, including a narrow 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the North London derby earlier this week.

Under pressure to deliver a positive result, Ange Postecoglou’s side faces a crucial test at the weekend, with suggestions that the result could determine the Australian’s fate.

Football pundit Chris Sutton has shared his thoughts on the game, predicting a 3-1 victory for Tottenham.

Chris Sutton backs Tottenham to beat Everton

Sutton highlighted Everton’s defensive frailties, evident in their midweek loss to Aston Villa. He noted that the departure of Sean Dyche has left the Toffees struggling for tactical cohesion, making them vulnerable at the back.

While Sutton acknowledged Everton might approach the game with more attacking intent at home, he expressed doubts about their ability to contain Tottenham’s firepower for the full 90 minutes.

He also pointed out that despite Spurs’ own struggles, they possess the quality to exploit Everton’s defensive lapses and secure a much-needed win.

Writing on BBC Sport, the pundit remarked:

“Sean Dyche was accused of being too defensive-minded before he got sacked last week.

“But Everton got a little bit stuck between being hard to beat and pushing for a goal when they lost to Aston Villa on Wednesday.

“It meant they were quite open and, although David Moyes’ side had chances, Villa really should have won by more than one goal.

“I think it will be a similar story here, where Everton’s approach will be different because they are at home.

“If they were away, I think they would be happy to sit in and soak up pressure, but they might be a little bit more expansive at Goodison Park, and I don’t see it ending well for them.

“It’s hard to make a case for Everton to beat Tottenham, even though Ange Postecoglou’s side are on a poor run too.

“Spurs have fallen so low in the table – 14th – that they need a win, and quickly.

“This might be the boost they need, although I am not convinced they will keep a clean sheet, even against Everton.”

Injuries, however, remain a significant hurdle for Tottenham. Key players such as Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie are unavailable, while doubts linger over the fitness of Yves Bissouma and Brennan Johnson. These absences have further complicated Postecoglou’s efforts to stabilise his side during this challenging period.

The outcome of this match holds considerable importance for the Lilywhites, not just to halt their slide but also to alleviate mounting pressure on Postecoglou. A win at Goodison Park could be the catalyst Tottenham needs to rebuild momentum and confidence for the remainder of the season.

Tottenham are making significant strides to secure the future of their squad by pursuing highly-rated Irish forward Mason Melia from St Patrick’s Athletic during the ongoing January transfer window.

According to Tottenham News, the 17-year-old has become a target for Spurs, who are prepared to meet St Patrick’s Athletic’s asking price of £2 million after their initial £1 million offer was rejected. The report adds that the new bid will be accepted by St Patrick’s Athletic.

Tottenham hoping to secure signing Mason Melia

The North London club are keen to finalise the deal quickly, with Celtic also expressing strong interest in the talented striker.

Due to post-Brexit regulations, Melia would be unable to officially join Tottenham until January 2026, when he turns 18.

Despite this hurdle, Spurs remain committed to the move, viewing Melia as a vital part of their long-term plans.

If the transfer goes through, the teenager would remain on loan at St Patrick’s Athletic until he becomes eligible to complete the switch to North London.

Melia’s ascent has been nothing short of remarkable. Since joining St Patrick’s Athletic’s academy in 2022, the young forward has rapidly progressed to the senior squad.

In January 2023, he etched his name into the history books as the club’s youngest-ever player and goal-scorer, achieving the feat during a Leinster Senior Cup match.

The 2023 season saw Melia play a pivotal role for St Patrick’s Athletic, delivering standout performances in the FAI Cup and UEFA Conference League. His contributions earned him the PFAI Young Player of the Year award, making him the youngest recipient in the award’s history.

In total, the Irish prodigy made 35 appearances last season, scoring seven goals and providing two assists taking his overall tally for the club to 10 goals and three assists. (Transfermarkt)

Tottenham’s pursuit of Melia aligns with the club’s broader strategy of investing in emerging talent. If the deal materialises, Melia would join a growing pool of promising young players at the club, including Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic and midfielder Archie Gray. The trio represents the club’s commitment to building a squad capable of sustained success in the years to come.

With the race heating up and Celtic reportedly monitoring Melia closely, Tottenham will need to act swiftly to fend off competition. If Spurs succeed in landing the Irish wonderkid, it could be another significant step in their efforts to assemble a team brimming with youthful promise.

For now, fans eagerly await confirmation of a deal that could shape the club’s future and mark the beginning of a bright career for Mason Melia in North London.

Tottenham are at the heart of transfer speculation as PSG reportedly consider a €50m bid for their defender Radu Dragusin.

While Spurs focus on bolstering their squad in the January transfer window, they are also facing interest in some key players, with Dragusin drawing attention from the French champions.

PSG evaluating €50m bid for Radu Dragusin

According to Fichajes, PSG see the 22-year-old Romanian as a prime candidate to reinforce their backline. Known for his combination of youth and quality, Dragusin fits PSG’s vision of building a defensively solid and future-ready squad.

Dragusin arrived at Tottenham in January 2024 from Genoa for a record-breaking €25 million, making him the most expensive Romanian footballer in history. Since then, he has gradually established himself within Ange Postecoglou’s system, especially during this season, where injuries to first-choice defenders have provided him with ample opportunities.

The centre-back made his Premier League debut soon after joining but has not had the best of starts, having found game time limited due to the presence of Cristian Romero and Micky va de Ven. However, this season, injuries to the centre-back duo has allowed the Romanian significant playing time and he has grown in confidence despite some early setbacks, including a red card in his Europa League debut.

Dragusin has made 24 appearances across all competitions, with 22 starts. His performances have underlined his reliability and potential, catching the attention of top clubs like PSG.

Tottenham are reportedly keen to retaining Dragusin, recognising his value to the squad, but a substantial €50 million offer could make this decision challenging. Moreover, the prospect of joining PSG, where he would compete for major titles including the Champions League alongside world-class players, might tempt the young defender to make the move. The report adds that ‘the next few weeks could define his future in European football.’

For now, Dragusin remains committed to helping Spurs navigate a critical phase of their campaign.

However, as the transfer window progresses, Tottenham must carefully assess the long-term implications of parting ways with one of their emerging talents against the immediate financial benefits of the proposed deal.

Tottenham enter race to sign Andrea Cambiaso

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Juventus wing-back Andrea Cambiaso.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League and the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Aston Villa are keen on securing his signature as well. According to a report from Caught Offside, the player will cost around €55 million.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay that kind of money for the player. They could certainly use more depth in the left-back department. Ben Davies will be out of contract at the end of the season and Destiny Udogie has not been at his best this season. More competition for places will help Tottenham improve as a squad. The Italian could prove to be an exceptional acquisition.

Even though the €55 million asking price seems like a premium right now, Cambiaso could justify the investment in the long term. It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy is ready to loosen the purse strings to get the deal done.

Arsenal and Manchester City certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal across the line. Both clubs need more depth in the full-back areas and Cambiaso would be a quality addition for them as well. Arsenal need to find an upgrade on Oleksandr Zinchenko and Cambiaso could help them improve at both ends of the pitch. Apart from his defensive qualities, he is very effective going forward as well.

The 24-year-old could be tempted to move to the Premier League. Clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham will be attractive destinations for the player. They could provide him with the opportunity to compete at the highest level and fight for trophies.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Richarlison wants Tottenham exit

Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison wants to leave the club.

According to a report from Football Insider, the Brazilian International has informed his friends that he wants to leave the North London outfit.

The player has not been able to live up to the expectations since the £60 million move from Everton. His performances have been underwhelming and he has struggled with injury problems as well. The player has made just one start in all competitions this season and Tottenham need better options at their disposal.

It is unlikely to be a major blow for Tottenham if he decides to move on. Tottenham need to bring in an upgrade on him if they want to push for major trophies. It remains to be seen whether they can recoup a substantial amount of money for the player. It is fair to assume that they will not be able to secure their investment in the player, and they will have to accept a loss on him.

It will be interesting to see where Richarlison ends up. There is no doubt that he is a quality player when he is fit and performing at his best. However, he has not been able to hit top form at Tottenham. Moving away from the London club would be ideal for him. A fresh start could bring out the best in the South American once again.

He needs to join a club where he will get regular first-team action. There is unlikely to be a shortage of clubs hoping to sign the player. He has the physicality and technical attributes to play for a top club and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham sanction his departure this month.

Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in signing the Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Skriniar.

According to a report from L’Equipe via SportWitness, there is a real desire to get the deal done and it will be interesting to see if they can secure an agreement with the French outfit.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from PSG and a move to the Premier League could be an exciting opportunity for him.

Spurs need defensive depth in the side and the Slovakian International could prove to be a quality acquisition. He has proven himself in Italy and France. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football as well.

The 29-year-old defender is at the peak of his power and he will look to hit the ground running in the Premier League if the transfer goes through. He will look to compete for major trophies with Tottenham in the coming seasons.

The London club have a quality squad and a charismatic manager at their disposal. They need to add more quality to the side to compete with the elite clubs. Skriniar will certainly help them improve defensively. They are currently without Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven due to injuries and Tottenham have struggled in their absence. Radu Dragusin is the only other fit central defender at the club, and they need additions in that area of the pitch if they want to do well. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in the right additions before the January window closes.

James Maddison's future uncertain following reported rift with Ange

James Maddison’s position at Tottenham appears increasingly uncertain, with the playmaker seemingly falling out of favour under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has speculated that a behind-the-scenes issue between Maddison and Postecoglou may be the reason for his recent lack of game time.

Bryan King: Something has happened between James Maddison and Ange Postecoglou

King shared his concerns about Maddison’s situation, highlighting how the player’s reduced minutes could jeopardise his international career. Maddison was notably left out of England’s Euro squad in the summer, and King believes his current lack of regular football could further damage his prospects.

Maddison’s situation has fuelled speculation about his long-term future at the club. King believes the midfielder could consider a move away from Tottenham if his role doesn’t improve.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:

“What Maddison needs is regular football.”

“Otherwise, his international career is over. At the moment he isn’t playing regularly, and suddenly someone who was Spurs’ outstanding player at one point has become a squad player.

“After he came on against Arsenal we saw little petulant incidents from Maddison, complaining about fouls and so on. If I were Maddison I’d be questioning whether or not Postecoglou and the staff think I’m good enough. If an 18-year-old is starting ahead of him, something has to be going on behind the scenes.

“If he is going to move, I don’t think it will be until the summer. Something has happened between Maddison and Postecoglou, and it doesn’t sit well with me at all. He’s not enjoying his football, you can see that. Postecoglou isn’t transmitting any confidence in supposedly one of the club’s star players.”

Maddison joined Tottenham from Leicester City last summer and quickly became a fan favourite with his creative displays. In his first 10 games, he scored three goals and provided five assists, cementing his status as a key player in Postecoglou’s system.

However, an injury during a clash against Chelsea sidelined him for 10 matches, and Maddison has struggled to regain his pre-injury form.

Last season, he managed just one goal and four assists after his return, finishing the campaign with four goals and nine assists in the Premier League.

This season, his performances have remained inconsistent. Despite showing glimpses of his brilliance—scoring eight goals and assisting four in 21 appearances—Maddison has not started in Tottenham’s last four games. Recently, 18-year-old Lucas Bergvall has been favoured ahead of him, raising questions about his standing within the squad.

TBH Says:

Given his impactful performances in the games he has played, his absence from the starting XI recently does make one wonder if there is more to it.

If what King says is true and he has fallen out with Ange behind the scenes, he could be on his way out at the end of the season.

Ange Postecoglou reveals truth of Randal Kolo Muani to Spurs rumours

Ange Postecoglou has spoken about Tottenham Hotspur’s failed pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani.

The Lilywhites have suffered from a chronic injury crisis this season, leaving their squad stretched almost to breaking point.

With that in mind, it’s no surprise to see the club linked with a host of players in the January transfer window.

PSG star Kolo Muani was one such player, with Spurs thought to be in talks with the French club as recently as three days ago.

A 27-time France international — scoring eight goals — Kolo Muani could have added serious firepower to the Spurs forward line, despite his relative struggles since joining PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023.

Ange Postecoglou comments on Randal Kolo Muani

It now appears Kolo Muani is set to join Italian giants Juventus.

Naturally, Postecoglou has been asked about missing out on the French striker and whether he was even pursuing him in the first place.

“We were in… Well, it depends what you mean for in,” he responded when asked to confirm whether Spurs were ‘in for’ Kolo Muani (via Football.London). “We’ve been interested and were looking at a number of players. But did we get to the point where we thought he was coming to us? No.”

Asked if missing out on the forward was a ‘big setback’, he responded: “For me? No.”

Postecoglou was then asked how ‘confident’ he was that Spurs will be able to get some new signings in this month.

“As confident as you can be,” he said. “It is tricky as all clubs are finding. And I guess traditionally it ramps up in that final week so we’re approaching there for all clubs. It’s even trickier in January because once you try to acquire a player, the club wants to replace that player. So there’s all sorts of logistics involved.”
