Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly keen on signing the Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni.

According to former Tottenham scout Mick Brown, the North London club sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old Italian International in the past. However, they have missed out on him and the player is now an indispensable asset for the Italian champions.

Bastoni played a key role in Inter Milan’s title win last season and he has established himself as one of the best defenders in Europe football. Tottenham could certainly use someone like him, and he could have been a key player for the North London club if they had managed to get the deal done in the past.

Brown has revealed to Football Insider that Tottenham wanted to sign the player when Fabio Paratici was at the club.

“They were keeping an eye on him and had sent scouts to watch him on numerous occasions.

“That was thanks to their connections in the Italian market with the former Juventus director who was there.

“How far they got towards signing him, I’m not sure, but I know they wanted him and he was very highly thought-of there, so I expect he still is.

“By the looks of things, they might have missed out, because he’s a key player for Inter now.”

Tottenham could use a quality central defender now and they are lacking in depth in the defensive unit. It will be interesting to see if they can bring in quality additions over the next few months.

They need to add more quality and depth to their side if they want to challenge for major trophies. Signing a quality central defender will certainly help them improve.

Bastoni could have found a formidable partnership with the likes of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. They have been linked with multiple defenders in recent months, and it will be interesting to see who they end up with.

Colombian midfielder Richard Rios has been linked with a move away from Palmeiras this month and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on securing his signature.

They are looking to improve their midfield unit, and they have also been linked with Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi.

According to CaughtOffside, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou wants to sign the 24-year-old Colombian midfielder, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done.

The London club have already seen an offer rejected for the player, and it will be interesting to see if they come forward with an improved offer to sign the player. Meanwhile, the player has a €100 million release clause in his contract and clubs like Everton and Nottingham Forest are keen on the player as well.

Palmeiras could look to demand a premium for their prized asset and Tottenham will have to break the bank for him. They need more quality in the middle of the park and the 24-year-old could be an excellent acquisition.

Rios has proven himself for club and country and he was excellent in the Copa America last year. The 24-year-old is a complete midfielder who will add creativity, drive and defensive cover to the Tottenham midfield. He has the physicality and technical attributes to do well in English football and he could be a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons.

He is yet to enter the peak years of his career, and he could improve further with coaching and gametime. Regular football in England could accelerate his development. The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be quite exciting for the player, and he will look to push for major trophies with Tottenham if the move goes through.

Tottenham Hotspur may face a major challenge in retaining their star defensive pairing, Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, as Real Madrid intensifies its interest.

Real Madrid’s interest in Romero dates back to the summer, with Carlo Ancelotti reportedly viewing the Argentine as a perfect addition to his squad. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy responded by setting a massive £150 million price tag, effectively deterring any immediate bids.

However, Romero is rumored to be tempted by a move to the Spanish capital, particularly due to the prospect of playing Champions League football—a stage Tottenham currently cannot offer. Reports suggest the 26-year-old could push for a transfer next summer if Real Madrid comes calling.

Tottenham are aware of Romero’s value and has been working on extending his contract, which currently runs until 2027.

Alongside Romero, Dutch defender Micky van de Ven has also caught the attention of Europe’s top clubs, including Real Madrid. The 23-year-old has made an instant impact since joining Spurs, establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s standout defenders.

Van de Ven’s pace, composure, and aerial ability have been crucial to Ange Postecoglou’s revamped Tottenham defence. Real Madrid have reportedly been monitoring his progress closely and are preparing a substantial offer to lure him to the Santiago Bernabéu.

Bryan King on Tottenham stance regarding Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven

Former Spurs scout Bryan King has suggested that the North London club would not stand in the way of either defender if a substantial offer were made.

Speaking to Tottenham News, he said:

“I think Real Madrid are constantly looking at Romero and van de Ven.”

“They don’t make many mistakes when it comes to the transfer market. If you’re looking at top defenders, then those two would certainly come into that bracket.”

“When they’re both fit and playing, they’re as good as anything there is anywhere in Europe. Therefore, the pair of them would cost a considerable amount of money. Tottenham couldn’t afford to sell them both. However, money talks and it has always talked at Tottenham.”

“As a result, if the fee is right, Tottenham will not stand in the way of Romero and van de Ven leaving.”

Losing one or both of Romero and van de Ven would represent a significant blow to Tottenham, who have relied heavily on their defensive partnership this season. While Daniel Levy is known for his tough negotiating stance, King’s comments suggest that financial considerations could take precedence if Real Madrid submits a sizeable bid.

Romero and van de Ven’s combined value is expected to be well over £200 million, a figure that would test even Levy’s resolve.

Tottenham Hotspur are in the race to sign the Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani this month.

The 26-year-old has been linked with the move away from the French club in January after struggling to impress in Ligue 1.

He was outstanding for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and his performances in Germany prompted PSG to sign him. However, he has not been able to deliver in French football. The striker has 11 goals and seven assists in 54 appearances for them and PSG are open to letting him leave.

Tottenham are hoping to secure his services on loan this month, and they have now been made aware of the investment required to get the deal done. According to TBR Football, PSG are looking to send the player out on loan with an option to buy at £50 million.

Tottenham could certainly use more quality and depth in the attacking unit, and the French international would be a useful acquisition. He is more than just a goal scorer, he will add creativity and flair to the side as well.

Kolo Muani needs a fresh start

The 26-year-old will be desperate to get back to his best and moving away from PSG could be ideal for him. A fresh start in the Premier League could help him rebuild his form and confidence. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to get a deal done.

They are not the only club hoping to sign the 2022 World Cup finalist, and they will need to compete with the likes of Juventus, Manchester United and Bayern Munich as well.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League can be quite exciting for the attacker and Tottenham have an ambitious project. It remains to be seen whether they can win the race for his signature.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford before the transfer window closes.

The 27-year-old has not been a regular starter under Ruben Amorim, and he has been linked with a move away from the club. According to a report from the Independent, multiple clubs are keen on securing his signature.

Tottenham are hoping to sign the player on loan, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United sanction his departure before the window closes. The report states that Tottenham have already held informal talks regarding a potential move.

The 27-year-old has shown his quality in the Premier League over the years and he could prove to be a quality acquisition in the short term. He is capable of operating anywhere across the front three and he will add goals and creativity to the side. He could prove to be a major upgrade on someone like Timo Werner. Tottenham will be hoping to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and they need more quality and depth in the side. The England International could be the ideal acquisition. Signing him on loan makes it a no-risk investment. Tottenham will be able to get the deal done for a reasonable outlay as well.

Rashford is on the radar of multiple clubs

Meanwhile, the player is on the radar of clubs like Juventus, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund as well. Barcelona have been tracking the player for seven years, but they might not be able to afford him this month. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The striker currently earns £300,000 a week at Manchester United and it is fair to assume that he will need to take a major pay cut in order to seal and exit from Old Trafford. Clubs like Tottenham will not be able to accommodate his wages.

Tottenham Hotspur’s summer signing Archie Gray has been turning heads with his performances, quickly becoming one of the club’s most exciting young talents.

Signed from Leeds United for £30 million, the 18-year-old midfielder has showcased remarkable versatility, filling in across multiple positions and earning admiration from fans, coaches, and now, Europe’s elite clubs.

Though naturally a midfielder, Gray has proven to be a utility player for Spurs. Amid injuries to key defenders Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, the teenager stepped up to partner Radu Dragusin at centre-back, delivering consistently solid performances.

He has also played as a right-back on several occasions, excelling in the role and demonstrating maturity beyond his years.

His ability to adapt to various roles on the pitch, coupled with his composure and tactical awareness, has made him an integral part of Ange Postecoglou’s squad in just a few months.

Real Madrid eyeing stunning move for Archie Gray

Gray’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed. According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid have identified the young Englishman as a prime target as they continue to invest in promising talents.

As per the report, the La Liga giants are willing to offer €50m to secure Gray’s services this winter transfer window.

It adds that while his current market value is around €25m, Madrid see him as an ‘ideal’ signing and are willing to offer double his value, with ‘€50m bid on the table’ for Spurs.

If the offer is accepted, Gray could make the leap to one of the most prestigious clubs in Europe, where he could develop alongside world-class players like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.

TBH Says

Despite Madrid’s interest and the lucrative offer on the table, it is highly unlikely that Tottenham will part ways with Gray this winter. Having just signed him in the summer, Spurs value him as a key part of their project under Postecoglou. The Australian manager has been left in awe of Gray’s performances, and the player has already become a fan favorite for his on-field contributions and off-field gestures.

However, with Daniel Levy at the helm, there is always a possibility of a deal being considered, especially given the significant profit margin involved.

Fabrizio Romano has shared an encouraging update on Tottenham’s pursuit of PSG star Randal Kolo Muani.

Spurs are among the clubs strongly interested in securing the services of the French forward. The North London club made the first move last week, with reports stating that Daniel Levy has personally flown to France to negotiate a move with PSG.

The North London club are said to be keen on structuring a loan-to-buy agreement with PSG, aiming to take the player on loan initially and finalise a permanent move at the end of the season.

Despite their efforts, Juventus are currently seen as leading the race for the 26-year-old. Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli recently hinted at progress, stating there could be “positive news over the next week” regarding both Kolo Muani and Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo.

Despite this, Tottenham are reportedly unwilling to back down and plan to fight for the player until the end.

Romano: Spurs make fresh contact with PSG

Fabrizio Romano shared the latest developments on the transfer saga, confirming that both Tottenham and Juventus have made fresh contact with PSG. Manchester United remain in the mix but are unlikely to make a move unless Marcus Rashford departs this month.

“Manchester United called last week and remain informed on developments but Rashford exit will be key factor.”

Kolo Muani saga expected to go down the wire

While Juventus may be ahead in the race to secure Muani, the fact that Spurs are not giving up is an encouraging update.

Daniel Levy has recently demonstrated his ability to outmaneuver top clubs in the transfer market, notably beating Bayern Munich to sign Radu Drăgușin and Barcelona to secure Lucas Bergvall.

With time ticking away in the transfer window, the Kolo Muani saga is expected to go down to the wire.

Petr Cech has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur’s move for Antonin Kinsky very nearly didn’t happen because of London rivals Chelsea.

Kinsky joined Spurs from Slavia Prague last week and despite a relative lack of senior experience, he’s started brilliantly, keeping clean sheets in cup wins against Liverpool and Tamworth.

Tamworth 0-3 Tottenham player ratings: Antonin Kinsky impresses again as Spurs stumble through in FA Cup

First-choice stopper Guglielmo Vicario isn’t due back until February, meaning Kinsky can look forward to an extended run in the Tottenham starting Xi.

His saves and command of the penalty area against Liverpool and Tamworth have already made him a popular figure among Spurs supporters, who are optimistic they have signed a long-term prospect between the sticks.

But it could have been very different for Kinsky who, according to compatriot and Premier League legend Cech, who has revealed he had his eye on the goalkeeper as a youngster a few years ago when he was Chelsea technical director.

Petr Cech reveals Chelsea interest in Antonin Kinsky

“I remember the moment when Antonín Kinsky was still playing for the national, team at under-16. A game when we watched him and when we scouted him for our own club [Chelsea],” Cech — one of the greatest Premier League goalkeepers of all time during his stints with Chelsea and Arsenal — told the Telegraph (via Spurs Web).

“You could see that he was strong, with his legs, you could see that he had a good starting position and he was actually helping the team at the back to launch attacks.”

Comparisons between Kinsky and Cech are natural given their shared nationality.

However, Cech insists Kinsky needs to write his own story in North London.

He added: “Of course, he comes from Czechia and that comparison will always be there. But I think it’s important that he makes his own way. Radek Cerny already made a good impression at Tottenham.”

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a 3-0 win over National League side Tamworth in the FA Cup yesterday.

However, star defender Pedro Porro put on a disappointing performance. The 25-year-old has been a key player for Tottenham since joining the club from Sporting CP and he has established himself as one of the best right-backs in European football.

He has been a key player for club and country over the last year and very few would have expected a National League player like Beck-Ray Besongbap Enoru to cause all sorts of problems for the Spanish international.

Porro struggled to contain Enoru throughout the game, and the Tamworth winger managed to beat him multiple times in one versus one situations.

BBC pundit Stephen Warnock said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Enoru has got the beating of Pedro Porro every single time. He is happy to go inside or outside.”

The Tottenham defender will be aware of his disappointing performance yesterday and he will certainly look to bounce back strongly in the coming weeks. Despite the mediocre performance yesterday, he remains a top-quality player and it is no surprise that heavyweights like Real Madrid are keeping tabs on him.

It was simply a bad day in the office for the Spanish international and Tottenham fans are unlikely to be worried.

Tottenham will be hoping to fight for domestic trophies this season and secure their place in the UEFA Champions League next season. They need players like Porro to step up and produce quality performances on a regular basis. He is certainly one of the best players at the club and Ange Postecoglou well, hope that he is back to his best once again.

Meanwhile, Enoru happens to be a sales assistant at Zara, and he will certainly be proud of his performance against one of the best clubs in the country.

Tottenham must get rid of Timo Werner after FA Cup display

Tottenham Hotspur picked up a 3-0 win over Tamworth in the FA Cup yesterday.

However, there were quite a few disappointing performances from the Tottenham players. Timo Werner in particular put in another ineffective display for the away side.

The German International was allowed to showcase his qualities against the National League outfit but failed to make his mark in the game. Werner failed to find the back of the net and struggled to create any goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates.

According to sofascore, the striker missed two big chances and completed just one successful dribble during his time on the pitch. Yesterday’s performance is simply unacceptable from the German international and Tottenham should look to cut their losses on him and bring in someone who can contribute on the pitch.

Timo Werner needs a fresh start

The 28-year-old has been an abject failure for the North London club and a move away from the Premier League would be ideal for him. Werner never really managed to impress in English football with Chelsea in the past and the move to Tottenham has not worked out for him either.

Perhaps a return to Germany would be ideal for him. The 28-year-old is still very much at the peak of his powers and a move back to his homeland might be able to get the best out of him once again. He has shown his quality in the Bundesliga consistently and he should look to return to his comfort zone.
