Tottenham Hotspur are determined to bolster their attacking lineup this summer, having identified several potential number nines.

Among their top targets now also includes Napoli’s prolific striker, Victor Osimhen.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are now closely monitoring the Nigerian international, even as their London rivals Chelsea are engaging in active negotiations for his signature.

Chelsea are reportedly discussing a cash-plus-player deal for the 25-year-old, which would involve Romelu Lukaku moving to Napoli.

In response, Tottenham are considering a similar approach, showing their willingness to include their own players in a swap deal to land Osimhen.

The report further adds that the Tottenham manager is ‘obsessed‘ about signing a new striker this summer.

Osimhen joined Napoli in 2020 for a record fee of €77.5 million. His tenure with the Italian side has been marked by significant achievements, particularly in the 2022-23 season.

Osimhen played a crucial role in helping Napoli clinch their first Serie A title in 33 years, and finished as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals. Despite a hamstring injury that sidelined him for several games last season, Osimhen demonstrated his prowess by netting 15 goals and providing three assists in 25 league appearances. Since joining the Italian giants, he has scored an incredible 76 goals & assisted another 18 in 133 appearances. (Transfermarkt)

His outstanding performances earned him a contract extension with Napoli until 2026, featuring a new release clause set at €130 million.

For Tottenham, signing Osimhen would be a major boost to their forward line, adding a proven goalscorer capable of making a significant impact.

However, given his recent contract extension, Spurs may need to make a substantial financial commitment.

With a massive release clause, securing Osimhen’s services will require negotiations and a significant investment, making it a difficult signing to pull off.

Tottenham have reversed their stance on Oliver Skipp with the midfielder now in talks over a new deal amid interest from Leicester City.

Oliver Skipp has been linked with a move away from the club for a while now. With the defensive midfielder not an important part of Tottenham’s first-team, they have been open to offers for his services.

According to a report from Football Insider, Spurs have made a U-turn on Skipp’s future as they are now looking to offer him a new contract to continue at the club.

Skipp joined the Tottenham youth setup back in 2013 and he went up the ranks at some pace. While he has been a part of their first team setup since the summer of 2018, the English defensive midfielder has only had limited game time at the North London club. Last season, he was involved in 24 matches but was on the pitch for less than 900 minutes.

Since he is not an important part of their setup, Tottenham were ready to negotiate his departure as long as they could secure a homegrown player as a replacement. Leicester City were keen on his signature as they look to reinforce their midfield. They were looking at Skipp as an ideal replacement for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall but will not have to look elsewhere as Spurs are pushing to extend his contract.

They are in advanced talks with the 23-year-old over a new deal. With Pierre-Emile Højbjerg leaving the club, they are quite inclined to have Skipp around. The report suggests that negotiations have been progressing quite well and it could result in an agreement this week

Tottenham seem quite interested in signing Juventus attacking ace Federico Chiesa this summer.

The North London club have done some impressive transfer business so far but there is still a lot of work to be done. Despite having extended the loan spell of Timo Werner, Spurs are still looking to bring in a world-class striker and a winger before the start of the 2024/25 season.

Federico Chiesa who is pushing for a move away from Juventus has been linked with a move to the Premier League and according to La Stampa via Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham have shown the ‘greatest interest’ in the Italian international who has been made available for a ‘bargain’ fee by the Old Lady as they want to cash in on him with his contract running out.

Chiesa seemed destined for greatness when he initially joined Juventus after making a name for himself at Fiorentina. While the initial years were great, the 26-year-old has struggled with injuries and hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations.

With his contract running out in 12 months, his departure looks almost certain. Juventus would love to have him around but they are not willing to meet his demands regarding a renewal and are ready to sanction his departure if an interested club meets their asking price of around €25 million. AS Roma were keen on his signature but that transfer has fallen off and England now looks like the most likely destination.

His agent Fali Ramadani is in London to hold talks with interested Premier League clubs and Tottenham seem to be the most interested one. The North London club seek more depth on the flanks and Chiesa’s versatility could surely help their cause. More importantly, he is available for a bargain fee which will surely appeal to Daniel Levy and his team.

AC Milan have scheduled talks with Tottenham today to complete the signing of Emerson Royal.

Emerson Royal’s future has been the talk of the town for weeks as AC Milan have been in negotiations with Tottenham but they haven’t been able to get the deal over the line yet.

According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian giants have scheduled talks with Spurs today to complete the signing of the Brazilian full-back.

Milan are desperate to have an upgrade at right-back before the start of the next season. They identified the former Real Betis full-back as a perfect fit for their system and have been working on a potential deal since the start of the transfer window. While the talks did stall at one point as Milan were not ready to meet Tottenham’s demands, they did decide to reignite their interest after having a look elsewhere.

Emerson hasn’t done much wrong since joining the North London club back in 2021 from Barcelona. While he has been a key part of their first team for years, the 25-year-old went down the pecking order post the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. Since he is not a part of their plans moving ahead, they are ready to cash in on him.

While negotiations haven’t been easy, Milan are finally closing in on his signature as per the report. Things are getting easier for them with each passing day and the two parties are separated by just €1-€2 million. The deal is practically just a step away as both teams continue to negotiate.

The report suggests that eventually there will be a green light for the transfer to be completed and the final fee will be around €14-€15 million. Milan have scheduled a meeting with Tottenham today for Emerson as they plan to bring the transfer saga to an end.

Tottenham are reportedly gearing up to make an offer for Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has suggested that this long-anticipated transfer could finally happen this summer.

Solhekol reported that Chelsea are now bracing for an approach from Spurs for the England international.

This follows recent interest from clubs like Atletico Madrid, although their offers have not met Chelsea’s valuation for the 24-year-old midfielder.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, the pundit stated:

“Atletico Madrid are there for him, but I don’t think they’re offering enough. I’ve been told today that Chelsea are expecting Spurs to come in for him maybe in the next couple of days or the next few weeks. When he comes back from holiday there could be some major developments.”

Gallagher, who played a pivotal role for Chelsea last season, is in the final year of his contract. Despite his contract situation, the Blues remain eager to keep him, highlighting his value to the team.

Under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, he was a consistent starter, featuring in 37 Premier League games and contributing five goals and seven assists. His steady performances have solidified his status as a key player for the side. (Transfermarkt)

Tottenham have had a long-standing interest in Gallagher, closely monitoring him since last summer’s transfer window. With the new season approaching, Spurs are aiming to further strengthen their midfield, having already added Archie Gray to their ranks.

As the transfer window unfolds, Gallagher’s transfer would be a major coup for Spurs, bolstering their midfield options and overall team strength for the upcoming season.

Tottenham Hotspur have been actively seeking to bolster their attack this summer and have been linked with a host of names, including Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

However, the latest update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicates that Spurs are not pursuing the Juventus winger.

Romano clarified that there have been no contacts or negotiations between Tottenham and Juventus regarding Chiesa. Despite his availability and impressive performances, Spurs have chosen not to engage in talks for the 26-year-old forward.

Taking to X, the Italian journalist shared the following update:

“No contacts taking place between Tottenham and Juventus for Federico Chiesa. Spurs will sign one more player upfront but no talks or negotiations are taking place for Chiesa.”

Chiesa, who has entered the final year of his contract with Juventus, had a notable campaign last season, scoring nine goals and providing three assists in 33 Serie A appearances. His significant attacking prowess makes him an attractive prospect.

There is some positive to take from Romano’s update as he seems to confirm that Spurs will sign one more attacking player before the transfer window shuts.

While Chiesa’s talent and potential transfer value is appealing, Romano’s comments suggest that Spurs are keen on signing another forward but have specific criteria that Chiesa does not fit at this moment.

The Lilywhites are reportedly more interested in securing Premier League-proven players, such as Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze or Wolves’ Pedro Neto.

TBH Says:

Spurs fans might be disappointed by the news, especially considering Chiesa’s high profile and recent form.

Fans are already growing frustrated with the lack of high-profile signings, as the club continues to focus on signing promising talents for the future, with the new season just a few weeks away.

With a dire need to bolster the attack, in particular the striking position, Romano’s claim that the club will be signing one more attacker is the only positive thing to come from this latest update.

Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the permanent transfer of academy graduate Yago Santiago to Spanish second-division side Elche.

The club’s official academy account on social media confirmed the transfer, putting out the following statement:

“We have reached agreement with Spanish Segunda Division side Elche for the permanent transfer of Yago Santiago. Wishing you all the best, Yago.”

The 21-year-old winger, who has climbed through the ranks at Spurs, will continue his career in Spain. The transfer fee remains undisclosed.

Yago Santiago began his football journey in Vigo, Spain. After several years at the Areosa academy, he moved to Celta de Vigo, where he impressed by scoring 15 goals for their U16 side during the 2018-19 season. His notable performance caught Tottenham’s attention, leading to his move to the club in the summer of 2019.

During his time at the Lilywhites, Santiago advanced through the youth teams and made a significant impact. He scored four goals and provided five assists in 33 appearances for the Spurs’ U18 side, and added 18 goals and 12 assists in 80 appearances for the U21 side.

The left-winger’s contributions were particularly evident last season, where he scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 23 appearances, playing a pivotal role in Tottenham’s Premier League 2 triumph.

His consistent performances earned him a call-up to first-team training under former manager Antonio Conte during the 2022-23 season. Santiago also featured among the substitutes in five competitive first-team matches during his time at Spurs.

Santiago has now returned to Spain, signing a permanent deal with Elche, a team that was relegated from La Liga two seasons ago.

AC Milan have submitted a second bid of €14 million in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal.

‘In the last few hours‘, Milan have ramped up their efforts to secure Emerson’s transfer following a knee injury to their defender Alessandro Florenzi, which has increased their need for a reliable right-back. The Italian club sees the Brazilian international as an ideal replacement.

According to Calciomercato.com, Tottenham initially set Emerson’s price at €20 million but have since lowered their asking price to €18 million, including bonuses.

Despite this adjustment, Milan’s latest offer still falls short, causing Spurs to delay finalising the deal.

Milan’s second offer of €14 million is currently being reviewed by Spurs, who are holding out for €15 million guaranteed, plus an additional €3 million in easily achievable bonuses.

The report claims that Spurs have not given the green light to Milan’s latest offer as yet but a deal is expected to be agreed soon.

Emerson joined Tottenham in 2021, signing a five-year deal for a reported £25.8 million transfer fee. His time at Spurs has been marked by various challenges, including knee surgery following an injury sustained on international duty with Brazil in March of the previous year.

Last season, Emerson demonstrated his versatility by filling in as a starter at left-back and centre-back due to numerous injuries within the squad.

However, he struggled to secure a regular starting position under manager Ange Postecoglou, making only 11 Premier League starts and largely remaining a backup across the defensive line.

As negotiations with Milan continue, Tottenham remains steadfast in their valuation, hoping to reach an agreement that aligns with their financial goals.

‘I’m not sure…’: Former player feels Tottenham could be priced out of a move for 43-goal star

Alan Hutton feels Tottenham could be priced out of a move for Viktor Gyokeres.

Signing a striker remains one of the top priorities for Tottenham Hotspur as we prepare to enter the final month of the transfer window. They are still on the lookout for an ideal replacement for Harry Kane who left the club last summer.

Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres is one of the names on their wishlist but Alan Hutton feels Spurs could be priced out of a move for the Swedish star.

While talking to Tottenham News, the former Scottish defender said: “The way Tottenham play, if you’re a decent striker, you’ll get a lot of opportunities.

“It’s high-octane football with crosses into the box, one-twos, James Maddison and people like that, the full-backs coming in so playing in that Tottenham team you’re going to have lots of opportunities.

“He’s a guy who knows where the back of the net is, so he’s going to get the opportunity to score a lot of goals, but the problem for me is the fee.

“£ 80 million-plus, I know it could possibly be lowered but are they willing to pay that? I’m not sure, I don’t really know their situation in terms of finances.”

Gyokeres made the move to Sporting CP last summer from Coventry City and he hasn’t looked back since. In his debut campaign for the Portuguese club, the 26-year-old striker scored 43 goals and even bagged 15 assists in his 50 outings. His exceptional numbers in front of goal have put him on the wishlist of Tottenham who are on the lookout for a new number nine.

Hutton feels any striker that ends up joining Spurs this summer will have quite a few opportunities to score goals given how the club have been playing under Postecoglou. Gyokeres is someone who knows where the back of the net is and he will surely get a lot of opportunities at Tottenham but his price tag could be a problem.

His current contract has a release clause worth £84 million. While Sporting could make him available for a lower fee, the former Tottenham defender feels Daniel Levy will not be willing to meet the demands of the Portuguese club for Gyokeres.

The North London club are likely to be priced out of a move for the Swedish international and they might prefer going after the services of Ivan Toney who knows the Premier League inside out. He is well aware of the pressure of playing in the English top flight. More importantly, he seems to be a better and cheaper alternative to Gyokeres.
