Tottenham have suffered a major blow in their pursuit of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.

The North London club have a long-standing interest in the services of Eberechi Eze and they are keen on signing the Crystal Palace star ahead of next season. But, according to a report from Football Insider, they have suffered a blow in their pursuit of the English international as the Eagles are willing to do everything in their power to keep him at Selhurst Park.

Eze has had a sensational rise since joining Palace back in 2020. He has established himself as one of the most exciting players in the English top flight and multiple top clubs want to prise him away from the Eagles. While injuries did restrict him to 31 appearances last season, the 26-year-old still finished with 11 goals and six assists. His performances have helped him earn a spot in Gareth Southgate’s team who are in the finals of the Euro 2024.

The Crystal Palace attacking midfielder finds himself on the wishlist of Tottenham who want to add more firepower to their attack. Ange Postecoglou wants someone who can compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI. He also seeks depth on the flanks and Eze could be an ideal signing as he can feature in both roles.

While Tottenham are serious about their pursuit of Eze, Palace’s reluctance to sell will be a major blow. Oliver Glasner is determined to keep him and Marc Guehi in his squad at all costs, especially with Michael Olise leaving the club to join Bayern Munich. Crystal Palace believe that Eze could play a pivotal role for them during the 2024/25 campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur have established contact with the agents of West Ham United midfield prodigy Chinaza Nwosu.

The North London club are always on the lookout for opportunities to further strengthen their team and they seem to be interested in the services of West Ham United youth star Chinaza Nwosu.

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham contacted the agents of Nwosu as they look to lure him away from the London stadium.

The 16-year-old is considered to be one of the finest young talents to have come up the ranks at West Ham. He was a consistent performer for their Under-18 team last season and he has done well for England at the youth level as well. The midfielder has huge potential and multiple top clubs from the Premier League want to snatch him away from the Hammers.

Spurs have been focused on signing the best young talents in recent years. They have already added Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall to their squad recently and are working to bring in a few more youngsters as they look to build for the long run. While Gray and Bergvall can be a part of their first team from the start, Nwosu is still quite young and will take time before competing with the first team.

However, Spurs still want the 16-year-old midfielder signed. While they did reach out to his agents, a deal looks very unlikely as West Ham have agreed terms on a professional contract with the youngster.

FA regulations prevent him from penning down a professional deal until he is 17 but with everything already agreed upon, he can put pen to paper on a deal with the Hammers soon.

Tottenham have set their sights on Brentford’s prolific striker Ivan Toney as a prime target this summer.

According to GiveMeSport, Spurs are seriously considering a move for Toney in the ongoing transfer window.

With the England international entering the final year of his contract, which expires next June, Brentford are likely to sell him to avoid losing him for free next year.

In the 2022-23 Premier League season, Toney scored 20 goals in 33 appearances, making him the third-highest scorer in the division, trailing only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

He is one of the most sought-after strikers this summer, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham, all showing interest in Toney.

It was recently reported that Spurs had a £40m bid rejected for the Brentford star, with the club looking for a fee close £65m. However, those reports have not been confirmed so far.

Meanwhile, the report from GiveMeSport claims that, the club are ready to make a serious push to sign him and that the longer no other club launches a bid for him, the better the chances for Spurs to sign him for a fee close to £40m.

Toney’s impressive form extends beyond the Premier League. In the ongoing Euros, he scored a crucial penalty in the quarter-final shootout against Switzerland.

Demonstrating his composed technique, Toney scored a no-look penalty and helped England to a 4-2 advantage in the shootout, which they ultimately won.

Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Toney underscores their intent to strengthen their attacking options.

With his proven goal-scoring ability and composure under pressure, Toney could be a valuable addition to Spurs as they aim to enhance their squad for the upcoming season.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal is strongly linked with a move to AC Milan but latest reports suggest there could be a late twist in the saga as Saudi Arabia are showing interest in signing him as well.

The Italian giants have pursued Emerson throughout the summer, but negotiations with Levy has proven to be difficult, with Tottenham wanting a fee close to €20m

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, an unnamed Saudi Pro League club has shown interest in the Brazilian full-back.

This club could significantly boost Emerson’s earnings by offering quadruple the wages Milan can provide and a transfer fee closer to the €20 million that Tottenham desires.

Emerson has expressed his excitement about a “dream move” to AC Milan, highlighting the club’s historical connection with Brazilian players as a significant factor in his decision.

However, with Milan struggling to meet Spurs’ valuation, a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia could change the transfer route.

The 25-year-old right-back has been a versatile asset for the Lilywhites, covering various defensive positions in the recent campaign due to Tottenham’s injury woes.

But Emerson has not been a first-choice player under manager Ange Postecoglou, making only 11 Premier League starts last season.

Given the financial constraints and Emerson’s eagerness to leave, Tottenham might consider negotiating with the Saudi club if Milan cannot meet their demands. The move would not only offer Emerson a substantial pay increase but also provide the Lilywhites with the desired transfer fee.

As the transfer window progresses, the potential switch to the Saudi Pro League adds a new dimension to Emerson’s future, offering him and the Spurs a favourable financial outcome.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur is facing a potential ban following a violent altercation with Colombian supporters after Uruguay’s Copa America semi-final defeat.

The clash occurred at Bank of America Stadium in North Carolina, where Uruguay lost 1-0 to Colombia.

Bentancur, who was injured and had to leave the game after half an hour, was involved in the post-match incident.

The altercation saw several Uruguay players, including Bentancur and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, confront spectators.

This happened after a number of Colombian fans, presumably drunk, allegedly attacked the section where the families of the Uruguayan players were seated.

In a bid to protect them, several players jumped over the fence and confronted the fans which resulted in a violent brawl. Footage reportedly shows Bentancur throwing a bottle into the crowd.

The Press Association as reported by Football London suggests those involved could face disciplinary action and potential bans.

The midfielder also suffered an injury mid-game which left him in tears. The extent of the injury is not known as yet and it remains to be seen whether it will impact his return with the club as they prepare for the pre-seaosn.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal has been linked with a move for the club this summer.

The 25-year-old has struggled for regular game time at the North London club and he needs to leave the club in order to play regularly.

He has been linked with Italian giants AC Milan in recent weeks, and it remains to be seen whether the two clubs can iron out an agreement.

The Brazilian defender has now revealed in an interview that he wants to leave Tottenham this summer and he wants to play regularly. He has also informed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou of his desire.

“I’ve always made it clear. Every player likes to play. I’m very competitive. It bothers me a lot to be on the bench,” he said via Globo Esporte.

“I was upset and said so to the coach. But I’ve always been very professional. I’ve always been one of those who put the most intensity into training, but this situation doesn’t work for me, so I don’t know what my future will be.

“I’m not a player who sits on the bench. I want to play. If it’s not here, I understand. But let me go somewhere where I can play.”

“But I understand that those who don’t play for the club rarely play for the national team. So, I have to look for new opportunities or, if I stay at Tottenham, have a good offer to play. Let’s see what’s best for me and for everyone else.”

Milan are looking to add more quality and depth through their defensive unit and the 25-year-old could prove to be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating operating as the right back as well as the left back. His versatility will be an added bonus. He has shown his quality in La Liga and the Premier league. There is no doubt that he is good enough for Serie A as well.

Emerson will be hoping to play regularly for his country in the coming months and he needs to be a regular starter at the club level. Leaving Tottenham would be ideal for him at this stage of his career. The North London club already have Pedro Porro as their starting right back and they are yet to sell Djed Spence permanently. Therefore, cashing in on Emerson would be a wise decision.

Tottenham need to improve the other areas of their squad and selling the 25-year-old would help recoup some funds.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for Wolves and his performances have been rather impressive this past season. Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on securing his signature and they will face competition from Newcastle United.

According to Give Me Sport, the winger is unlikely to be a cheap acquisition this summer and his agent Jorge Mendes is looking to create a tug-of-war between clubs for his client. Wolves will also hope for an auction so that they can recoup as much as possible for the Portuguese international.

The report further states that Neto would prefer to join Tottenham because they can offer him European football next season. Newcastle missed out on European qualification and the 24-year-old winger is not keen on joining them this summer. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Tottenham will be hoping to agree on a reasonable deal for him this summer. They need to add more cutting edge in the wide areas, and the 24-year-old will add pace, flair and creativity from the flanks.

He’s going to get better with coaching and experience, and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham. They will be hoping to push for trophies next season and a signing like Neto will certainly help them improve immensely.

The development will come as a major blow for Newcastle, who are looking to improve their attacking unit as well. It will be interesting to see if they decide to move onto other targets now.

Jonathan David has been linked with the move away from LOSC Lille this summer and the Canadian international is on the radar of multiple Premier League clubs.

The striker is reportedly a target for West Ham United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

However, journalist Ben Jacobs believes that the striker is more likely to end up at Chelsea or Tottenham. He believes that West Ham are focused on signing the Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran and Manchester United are closing in on Joshua Zirkzee.

“Jonathan David is available in the region of £25m, and that’s seen as a bargain in the market. West Ham are focused on Jhon Duran. Chelsea and Tottenham are the ones to watch there and it’s less likely that Manchester United move because of Joshua Zirkzee,” Jacobs said on PlayBack.

Therefore, Chelsea and Tottenham could be the front-runners to sign the Canadian international this summer. David scored 26 goals in all competitions last season and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for the London clubs.

Chelsea need to find a quality alternative to Nicolas Jackson who has failed to impress in the Premier League. Chelsea were overly dependent on Cole Palmer last season and they need more support in the attack.

As for Tottenham, they are still looking for the ideal replacement for Harry Kane and David would be the ideal acquisition. Spurs missed a reliable finisher last season.

He has shown his quality in Ligue 1 and he has the attributes to succeed in the Premier League as well.

A move to Tottenham will be an exciting opportunity for him. They have a talented squad and a quality manager. They could be pushing for major trophies in the coming seasons and David will want to be a part of the revolution at the north London club.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs come forward with an official offer to sign the player now.

Tottenham are actively working to offload players not in the club’s plans, with Djed Spence among those expected to depart.

However, Spence’s anticipated move to Genoa has fallen through, and he is now back in training with the Spurs’ first team.

According to journalist Nizaar Kinsella, a deal between Genoa and Tottenham for Spence is now highly unlikely. The Italian club found the £8.5 million asking price for the defender too high.

Spence, who still has three years remaining on his contract with Spurs, was signed from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2022 for £12.5 million.

Last season, he spent the latter half on loan at Genoa, where he made 16 Serie A appearances, starting in half of those games and coming on as a substitute.

His versatility across various defensive and midfield positions impressed the Italian club, but the financial terms proved to be a stumbling block.

Tottenham had hoped to recoup a significant portion of their initial investment through Spence’s sale. However, with the collapse of the Genoa deal, Spence has returned to pre-season training under manager Ange Postecoglou.

The right-back’s future now remains uncertain as Spurs must decide whether to seek another potential buyer or reintegrate him into the squad for the upcoming season.

Additionally, with the impending departure of Emerson Royal, the club will be in the market for a reliable backup.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs will consider keeping Spence as an option.
