Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the services of Brazilian full-back Vanderson.

The North London club are expected to make quite a few changes to their squad in the ongoing transfer window. They will look to add more quality to help Ange Postecoglou’s side take the next step after he helped them secure Europa League football last time out.

Tottenham want to strengthen their back line and according to Fabrizio Romano, they ‘appreciate’ AS Monaco sensation Vanderson. They are interested in acquiring his services ahead of next season.

The Brazilian international made the move to the French club in the winter of 2022 and hasn’t looked back since. While he did struggle with injuries during the 2023/24 campaign, the 22-year-old did showcase his abilities in his 23 outings with four-goal contributions.

His impressive rise has caught the attention of the North London club and they are considering making a move for him. However, they will only go ahead with it if Emerson Royal does end up leaving the club. The former Barcelona full-back is not in the plans of Postecoglou and Spurs are ready to sanction his departure.

He is expected to be on the move with AC Milan being his preferred destination. While Tottenham do consider Vanderson to be an ideal fit for their team going forward, signing him will not be an easy task for them.

The player still has four years left on his deal and Monaco want more than €40 million to part ways with him. The North London club do have other options just in case they fail to strike a deal with the French outfit.

‘he is perfect’: Danny Murphy drools over Spurs ace who has barely featured under Ange - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old was expected to come in and improve Spurs defensively. However, he has barely featured for them during the second half of the season. It seems that the Romanian international is yet to win over the manager.

Ange Postecoglou has handed him just four starts in all competitions. Dragusin will be hoping to play a lot more in the upcoming season and his performances in the European championship could prove to be vital when it comes to convincing the manager of his qualities.

The 22-year-old was in action against Ukraine earlier today, and he produced a colossal defensive performance for his side. Romania picked up a 3-0 win in the end, and the Spurs defender attracted a lot of praise for his flawless display at the back. Dragusin seemed commanding throughout the game and he dealt with any potential danger with calmness and composure.

The Tottenham defender showed great physicality throughout the game as well. BBC pundit Danny Murphy has now heaped praise on the talented young defender and claimed that he could be an important player for Tottenham and the fans will be pleased to see his performance today.

Murphy added that the Romanian international is perfect for the Premier League because of his physicality and intensity. It will be interesting to see if he can hold down a regular starting spot at the North London club next season. There is no doubt that he is a tremendous talent with a bright future and he needs more opportunities.

He wrote on BBC: “Dragusin’s performance deserves plaudits because he was outstanding. The Spurs fans will be really happy to see it and he is perfect for the Premier League. He epitomised everything that was great about Romania today”.

Description

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso continues to be linked with a move away from the club this summer.

According to a report from Estádio Deportivo, Real Betis are keen on signing the 28-year-old attacking midfielder and they have held ‘informal contacts’ with the player’s agents. It will be interesting to see if they make contact with the North London club now.

Lo Celso is reportedly keen on the move. He is not a key starter for Tottenham and it would make sense for all parties to move on. Tottenham will be hoping to cash in on him and invest the proceeds from his departure on a new player.

Meanwhile, he has played for Real Betis in the past and he was a key performer for them. The opportunity to return to his former club will be an exciting option for the player as well.

The Argentine international was reportedly keen on a return to the Spanish club last summer, but Real Betis were not able to afford his wages. It seems that the Spanish outfit are now looking to get rid of William Carvalho and Nabil Fekir to lower their wage bill. It would allow them to sign the versatile midfielder this summer.

Lo Celso needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and Tottenham will not be able to provide him with that opportunity. Returning to La Liga would be ideal for the South American as well.

Furthermore, he has a contract with the North London club until 2025, and this is Tottenham’s final opportunity to cash in on him. They will not want to lose out on a free transfer, and therefore it makes sense for them to sell the player for a reasonable price this summer.

“Ignore …nonsense” Spurs insider dismisses ‘Exclusive’ - The Boy Hotspur
Description

This summer was certainly set up to be a pivotal one for Tottenham.

After a decent initial run of refreshing games, Ange Postecoglou either hit a physical wall with the squad, or his new manager bounce ran out of steam.

Either way, numerous big outlets have threatened us with big changes this summer and talk has been about serious exits out of N17 and a sizable injection of fresh blood into Hotspur Way.

What truth there may have been in all this remains to be seen, as there has been very little credible speculation via credible outlets so far.

Football Transfers today has alleged that personal terms between Spurs and Ivan Toney have been agreed, however, the reported £40 million bid by us was not deemed agreeable to Brentford themselves.

Furthermore, the site suggests that Daniel Levy has changed his spots and is not stopping there, with an additional 4 names being inbound,

“…the Lilywhites plan to bring in five new signings to boost their chances of securing Champions League football next season”

Paul O’Keefe is a registered FA intermediary and a man with an established track record when it comes to Spurs transfer business.

The Boy Hotspur Says

Toney is a player Tottenham undoubtedly need, with Richarlison and Werner both being liabilities.

Harry Kane was never replaced, and buying Ivan would be the obvious, sensible thing to do.

It would be fascinating to see Levy do the right thing.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in the process of offloading players who are not part of their long-term plans, with defender Joe Rodon emerging as a prime candidate for departure this summer.

Rodon, 25, had a remarkable loan spell at Leeds United last season, significantly boosting his profile and catching the attention of several Premier League clubs.

According to The Athletic, Rodon’s standout performances in the Championship have garnered interest from top-tier English teams.

During his loan at Leeds, Rodon played a crucial role under manager Daniel Farke. The Welsh international was instrumental in Leeds finishing third in the league and reaching the playoff final.

Over the season, he made 46 appearances, starting 45 games, and contributed to 20 clean sheets, solidifying his reputation as a reliable defender.

Initially, Leeds were keen on signing Rodon permanently if they secured promotion to the Premier League. However, their failure to achieve promotion has made the pursuit a bit difficult.

The defender’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with multiple Premier League clubs reportedly expressing interest in securing his services.

This increased competition could complicate Leeds’ pursuit of Rodon, but it also provides Tottenham with a strategic advantage in negotiations.

Tottenham recently exercised the option to extend Rodon’s contract by another year, in what was a strategic move. By extending Rodon’s contract, Tottenham have ensured they can leverage his market value amid the growing interest.

This move is part of a broader strategy to generate funds that will be reinvested into the squad, aligning with Postecoglou’s vision for the team.

Tottenham will be looking to leverage Rodon’s successful season to negotiate a favourable deal, securing funds to bolster their squad under Postecoglou’s direction.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of Leeds United sensation Archie Gray.

Spurs are always on the lookout for opportunities to further bolster their squad and they seem to have found one at Leeds United. According to a report from The Athletic, Tottenham are keeping a close eye on Leeds teenager Archie Gray ahead of a potential move in the summer.

Gray has come up the ranks at the Yorkshire-based club, he was promoted to their first team last summer. In his first full season, the 18-year-old midfield sensation was involved in 52 games and he racked up over 4,200 minutes. In no time, he had established himself as an integral part of their first team.

Daniel Farke used him in different roles in the midfield and even deployed him as a right-back. His impressive rise and consistent performances in the EFL Championship has attracted a lot of interest and Tottenham are one of the clubs keen on his signature.

The North London club have been closely monitoring the teenager for a while now. They are looking to add more depth to their ranks and Gray could be an exceptional signing for them both in the short as well as long run. While he is only 18, he can still end up being an important of the Tottenham first-team and his versatility could be of great use to Ange Postecoglou.

The North London club do have a boost in their pursuit as Leeds need to make a major sale to keep their finances in check. While they would prefer keeping Gray in their ranks, a significant fee could help Spurs prise him away. And, as far as Leeds are concerned, his departure could be a big boost for them as he is a homegrown player and the money raised will be registered as pure profit.

AC Milan submit €20 million offer to sign Emerson Royal

AC Milan’s offer for the services of Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal has fallen short by €5 million.

Emerson Royal is no longer a part of Tottenham’s plans moving ahead and they are ready to sanction his departure ahead of next season. While there is interest in his services from multiple top clubs, AC Milan are the ones working hard to acquire his services.

According to a report from PL Brasil, Milan submitted an offer worth €20 million for the Brazilian full-back. But, it has been deemed to be not good enough as Spurs are looking for €25 million to part ways with Emerson Royal.

The North London club want to recoup the money they had invested in bringing the 25-year-old to the club from Barcelona back in 2021. While he was an important part of their first team in the initial years, Emerson has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou.

He was involved in 24 matches last season and was on the pitch for just over 1,300 minutes. The majority of those appearances came because of an injury crisis at the back. While the Brazilian international still has two years left on his deal, Spurs are ready to cash in on him.

AC Milan will have to return with a better offer if they want to sign the right-back as their current offer falls short by €5 million. The North London club are ready to sanction his departure as he doesn’t fit in well under their new manager. However, they are well aware of the player’s abilities and do not intend to lower their demands.

Tottenham preparing move for 17-G/A star who is one of their most desired targets - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of Eberechi Eze ahead of next season.

The North London club want to add more firepower to their squad after an impressive start to the new era under Ange Postecoglou. After guiding Spurs back to Europe, the Australian manager wants to reinforce his squad and according to Paul O Keefe, Tottenham are preparing an offer for Eberechi Eze who is their most desired target for this summer.

Tottenham are now considering their move as Eze is one of their most desired targets this summer #THFC

— Paul O Keefe (@pokeefe1) June 14, 2024

Eze has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2020. The attacking midfielder scored 11 goals and also bagged six assists in his 31 outings last season. On the back of his impressive performances, Gareth Southgate has included him in the England squad for the Euros.

While the player is currently focused on the continental tournament, his future has become a big talking point. There is interest from multiple top clubs and Tottenham are one of them.

Signing Eze could improve Spurs immensely and he could compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI. Eze can feature as an attacking midfielder as well as on the flanks if needed. More importantly, the 25-year-old will add goals as well as creativity to the side.

His contract with the Eagles runs until the summer of 2027 and their stance on Eze is quite clear, they will only sanction his departure if a club is ready to pay more than £60 million. Palace want a considerable amount of the total fee to be paid upfront which makes things quite difficult for Spurs.

Understand Crystal Palace’ current stance on Eberechi Eze is that any club will need to be prepared to pay a considerable amount of the fee up-front. A fee that in total could exceed £60m.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has publicly apologised to his captain, Heung-min Son, following a racist joke made during an interview.

The controversy arose when Bentancur, speaking with a TV channel in Uruguay, responded to a request for Son’s kit by saying, “maybe from his cousin” because “they all look the same.”

This comment, which perpetuated the harmful stereotype that Asian people are indistinguishable from one another, quickly ignited outrage among fans and the broader football community.

The backlash was swift, with Bentancur widely criticised for his inappropriate comments.

Football London’s Alasdair Gold also condemned the joke on his X handle, describing it as a “dreadful attempt at humour” that was inappropriate and offensive.

Gold pointed out that Bentancur’s remark had upset many people and stressed that such behaviour is unacceptable, specially from a teammate.

In light of the criticism, Bentancur took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology. In his post, the Uruguayan midfielder expressed deep regret for his actions, saying:

“Sony brother! I apologise to you for what happened, it was just a very bad joke! You know that I love you and I would never disrespect you or hurt you or anyone else! I love you brother!”

Club insider reveals Tottenham player was offered a new contract before being released - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur recently released eight players from their senior and youth squads as their contracts came to an end.

Among the youth players are Charlie Sayers, Billy Heaps, Kieran Morgan, and Han Willhoft-King.

According to club insider and lawyer John Wenham, Han Willhoft-King was offered a new contract by Spurs.

However, the defensive midfielder chose to decline the offer and part ways with the club.

Wenham revealed that the Lilywhites were keen to retain Willhoft-King, but the player believed his best opportunities lay elsewhere.

The 18-year-old was a regular in the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup, making 16 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals.

Willhoft-King has been with Spurs since the age of six, progressing through the youth ranks and earning recognition as the best player in his age group by The Guardian in September 2022.

In an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham explained that the club had extended a new contract to Willhoft-King, which he turned down.

Wenham supported the player’s decision, suggesting it was the right move for his career development.

He noted that with teammates Tyrese Hall and George Abbott securing long-term deals, Willhoft-King might have felt his opportunities to progress were limited at Spurs.

Wenham praised the young midfielder’s bravery in seeking faster advancement elsewhere and wished him luck in his future endeavours.

He said:

“Willhoft-King was offered a new contract but decided to turn it down.

“It is absolutely the correct decision for him. Tyrese Hall and George Abbott have both signed long-term deals, and he probably felt that the same pathway wasn’t available to him.

“He is going to try his luck elsewhere and good luck to him.

“This is a brave decision, he has chosen to turn down a contract in an attempt to make faster progress somewhere else. I wish him the best of luck with that.”

This decision marks a significant step in Willhoft-King’s career as he looks for new opportunities to grow and develop as a player.
