Tottenham Hotspur are keen on acquiring the services of Eberechi Eze ahead of next season.

The North London club want to add more firepower to their squad after an impressive start to the new era under Ange Postecoglou. After guiding Spurs back to Europe, the Australian manager wants to reinforce his squad and according to Paul O Keefe, Tottenham are preparing an offer for Eberechi Eze who is their most desired target for this summer.

Eze has gone from strength to strength since making the move to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2020. The attacking midfielder scored 11 goals and also bagged six assists in his 31 outings last season. On the back of his impressive performances, Gareth Southgate has included him in the England squad for the Euros.

While the player is currently focused on the continental tournament, his future has become a big talking point. There is interest from multiple top clubs and Tottenham are one of them.

Signing Eze could improve Spurs immensely and he could compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI. Eze can feature as an attacking midfielder as well as on the flanks if needed. More importantly, the 25-year-old will add goals as well as creativity to the side.

His contract with the Eagles runs until the summer of 2027 and their stance on Eze is quite clear, they will only sanction his departure if a club is ready to pay more than £60 million. Palace want a considerable amount of the total fee to be paid upfront which makes things quite difficult for Spurs.

Understand Crystal Palace’ current stance on Eberechi Eze is that any club will need to be prepared to pay a considerable amount of the fee up-front. A fee that in total could exceed £60m.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has publicly apologised to his captain, Heung-min Son, following a racist joke made during an interview.

The controversy arose when Bentancur, speaking with a TV channel in Uruguay, responded to a request for Son’s kit by saying, “maybe from his cousin” because “they all look the same.”

This comment, which perpetuated the harmful stereotype that Asian people are indistinguishable from one another, quickly ignited outrage among fans and the broader football community.

The backlash was swift, with Bentancur widely criticised for his inappropriate comments.

Football London’s Alasdair Gold also condemned the joke on his X handle, describing it as a “dreadful attempt at humour” that was inappropriate and offensive.

Gold pointed out that Bentancur’s remark had upset many people and stressed that such behaviour is unacceptable, specially from a teammate.

In light of the criticism, Bentancur took to Instagram to issue a heartfelt apology. In his post, the Uruguayan midfielder expressed deep regret for his actions, saying:

“Sony brother! I apologise to you for what happened, it was just a very bad joke! You know that I love you and I would never disrespect you or hurt you or anyone else! I love you brother!”

Club insider reveals Tottenham player was offered a new contract before being released - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur recently released eight players from their senior and youth squads as their contracts came to an end.

Among the youth players are Charlie Sayers, Billy Heaps, Kieran Morgan, and Han Willhoft-King.

According to club insider and lawyer John Wenham, Han Willhoft-King was offered a new contract by Spurs.

However, the defensive midfielder chose to decline the offer and part ways with the club.

Wenham revealed that the Lilywhites were keen to retain Willhoft-King, but the player believed his best opportunities lay elsewhere.

The 18-year-old was a regular in the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup, making 16 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals.

Willhoft-King has been with Spurs since the age of six, progressing through the youth ranks and earning recognition as the best player in his age group by The Guardian in September 2022.

In an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, Wenham explained that the club had extended a new contract to Willhoft-King, which he turned down.

Wenham supported the player’s decision, suggesting it was the right move for his career development.

He noted that with teammates Tyrese Hall and George Abbott securing long-term deals, Willhoft-King might have felt his opportunities to progress were limited at Spurs.

Wenham praised the young midfielder’s bravery in seeking faster advancement elsewhere and wished him luck in his future endeavours.

He said:

“Willhoft-King was offered a new contract but decided to turn it down.

“It is absolutely the correct decision for him. Tyrese Hall and George Abbott have both signed long-term deals, and he probably felt that the same pathway wasn’t available to him.

“He is going to try his luck elsewhere and good luck to him.

“This is a brave decision, he has chosen to turn down a contract in an attempt to make faster progress somewhere else. I wish him the best of luck with that.”

This decision marks a significant step in Willhoft-King’s career as he looks for new opportunities to grow and develop as a player.

“I think Levy will…” – Pundit believes Tottenham chairman is ready to spend big on Premier League star - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on their long-pursued transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Spurs have been heavily linked with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze for several months, and the saga could finally conclude this summer.

According to former Tottenham defender Alan Hutton, Daniel Levy is preparing to make a significant investment to secure the services of the English international.

The Lilywhites are reportedly ready to invest £60 million to activate Eze’s release clause, potentially making him the club’s record signing.

Despite Eze extending his contract last November, which runs until the summer of 2027, he could still be on his way out of Selhurst Park.

Recently selected for England’s final 26-man squad for the Euros, Eze’s quality is evident, even with Gareth Southgate’s array of options.

The 25-year-old had a standout campaign last season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 27 Premier League appearances. (Transfermarkt)

Speaking to Tottenham News, Alan Hutton has expressed strong support for the club’s pursuit of Eze, praising the player’s versatility and attacking prowess.

The pundit highlighted the Englishman’s ability to score and assist, noting that his freedom and joy on the pitch set him apart from others who might be restricted by specific formations or roles.

Hutton also emphasized that Eze’s recent call-up to the England squad reflects his impressive form.

The former Scottish right-back said:

“Yeah, I think so for someone who is so talented and at a good age.

“Normally when you get a little bit older, you get a little more restricted. You need to play in a certain type of formation, you need to be this sort of player and he just doesn’t look like that sort of guy.

“He just goes out and plays with a smile on his face, he plays with a lot of freedom and he’s got so much attacking quality. He can score goals, he can assist, these are the type of guys you need and he’s been rewarded for his good form by being picked for the England squad.

“I think he could go and be a shining star so £60million is right. You look at some of the prices that are getting banded around now for players that aren’t as good, so I can understand that.

“If he’s going to be available for that price, I think Levy will spend it.”

Eze’s versatility, creativity and flair align perfectly with Ange Postecoglou’s vision for the team and his arrival could significantly enhance Spurs’ quality in the attacking third.

“Tottenham are readying a bid for him” – Journalist excites Spurs fans with big transfer update - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing a bid to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney this summer, emerging as the favourites to secure the Premier League forward.

Journalist Steve Kay has shed light on this potential transfer, which has been anticipated for several months.

Speaking on KS1TV, Kay noted that the England international recently switched his representation to CAA Base, an agency closely linked with Tottenham.

Kay highlighted that Jonathan Barnett, a significant figure at CAA Base, shares a strong relationship with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. This connection could play a crucial role in facilitating Toney’s move to North London.

Kay stated (quoted via TBR):

“Yeah at this moment in time I’ve been told that Tottenham are readying a bid for him. He changed his agency to CAA Base before his ban which is basically Tottenham’s agency. There is a good sort of clue there that Tottenham would be a good destination for him. They are really interested in him, they like him a lot. You hear some strange stories about where they have met agents and where they’ve met Jonathan Barnett. Daniel and Jonathan Barnett are very good friends.”

The Lilywhites are reportedly gearing up to submit a bid for Toney, with sources suggesting a transfer fee of around £40 million.

Toney, entering the final year of his contract with Brentford, might be available at a reduced fee this summer as the Bees look to sell to avoid losing him for free next year.

Toney had an outstanding 2022-23 season, scoring 20 goals in 33 league appearances, making him the third-highest scorer in the Premier League behind Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.

With over 350 appearances and around 200 direct goal contributions across the English Football League divisions, Toney’s experience and quality could make an immediate impact at Tottenham.

As Tottenham seek to bolster their attacking options, Toney’s potential arrival is seen as a significant move to fill the void left by Harry Kane’s departure last summer.

‘Negotiations ongoing…’: Romano confirms club has submitted formal offer for Tottenham ace - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur defender Djed Spence is expected to leave the club permanently during the summer window.

He is not a part of Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans next season and it makes sense for the north London outfit to cash in on him. The defender joined Italian club Genoa on loan in January and he has impressed with his performances for them.

Genoa are hoping to sign him permanently this summer and they have already submitted a formal offer for the player. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs and a decision could be reached soon.

He wrote on X: “Understand Genoa have sent formal bid to Tottenham to sign Djed Spence. Negotiations ongoing between clubs, now up to Spurs with final decision to follow soon.”

The 23-year-old was highly rated in English football when he joined Tottenham, but the transfer did not work out as expected. He failed to hold down a regular starting spot at the North London club and it would be ideal for him to move on in search of regular football. He needs to play more often at this stage of his career and being a squad player at Tottenham is unlikely to benefit him.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can recoup a substantial amount of money for him this summer. They could use the proceeds from his departure to strengthen their squad during the summer transfer window.

Tottenham missed out on Champions League qualification and they will look to bounce back strongly. They will be hoping to push for trophies next season as well. They will need to bring in quality players this summer and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in the right reinforcements.

As for the 23-year-old right back, he will look to get his career back on track with regular football at the Italian club if the move goes through.

Tottenham dealt blow in their pursuit of 24-year-old Premier League star - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Chelsea midfield star Conor Gallagher.

Tottenham Hotspur have a long-standing interest in securing Conor Gallagher’s services. They have been closely monitoring him for a while now and are gearing up to make a move in the upcoming transfer window.

According to a report from Football Insider, The North London club have suffered a huge blow in their pursuit of Gallagher’s signature as the Chelsea midfielder is keen on extending his stay at his boyhood club.

The 24-year-old’s future has been the talk of the town for a while now. With his contract running out in the summer of 2025, the Blues are considering parting ways with him as they do not want to risk losing out on him for free.

Tottenham have been monitoring him for a while now. They want more quality in the centre of the park and they feel Gallagher would be an ideal fit in Ange Postecoglou’s system.

With Chelsea not in the best of financial situations and Gallagher’s contract running out, Spurs were ready to make the most of the situation. Unfortunately, the North London club have suffered a blow in their pursuit and it remains to be seen whether they decide to pursue other targets.

Gallagher is still hoping to renew his deal at Chelsea even though talks over a new deal have been on hold for a while now. While the Blues need to raise funds, they won’t force the England international to leave the club against his will.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have submitted an offer worth £42 million for Real Sociedad star Takefusa Kubo.

The North London club are looking at ways to further bolster their attack ahead of next season. While Spurs did a decent job last time out, Ange Postecoglou wants more firepower in attack as he looks to challenge the best teams in the country.

Takefusa Kubo’s impressive rise at Real Sociedad has put him on the wishlist of Tottenham. According to a report via TEAMtalk, they have already submitted a £42 million offer to acquire the services of the versatile Japanese forward.

While things didn’t really go according to plan for Kubo at Real Madrid, the move to Sociedad in 2022 has helped him establish himself in the Spanish top flight. The 23-year-old”s consistent performances have put him on the radar of multiple top clubs.

Kubo prefers playing out wide on the right but he can even feature on the left as well as a number 10 when needed. He has managed to impress the Tottenham recruitment chiefs with his performances and they want him at their disposal ahead of next season.

Spurs have already submitted an initial bid worth £42 million for the versatile star. While it will result in Sociedad making a significant profit, Tottenham might have to put forward an improved offer to land him.

Tottenham can now sign Englishman for just £20 million this summer - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham are undecided on a move for former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

The North London club are looking to reinforce their attack in the summer after an impressive start to life under Ange Postecoglou. Signing a new striker is one of the priorities for Tottenham and according to a report from The Telegraph, they are aware of Tammy Abraham’s availability but are yet to decide on whether to make a move for him.

Despite parting ways with Harry Kane last summer, Spurs decided against signing a replacement.

While his departure to Bayern Munich did come as a huge blow to Postecoglou who had just taken over at the club, the former Celtic boss managed to cope with his absence. Son Heung-min featured as a striker in the majority of their matches and he did a commendable job.

The Australian manager is now keen on adding more firepower to his attack as he looks to take the next step. He wants to bring in a top-quality striker and they have been linked with Tammy Abraham.

The former Chelsea striker had a sensational debut season at AS Roma but things have gone downhill post that. He suffered an ACL injury before the start of the 2023/24 season and was out of action for close to 10 months.

While he did make a return towards the end of last season and still has two years left on his deal at the Italian club, they are ready to cash in on him amidst their financial crisis. Roma haven’t set an asking price yet but the report suggests the 26-year-old could be available for around £20 million.

Spurs are in the market for a new number nine and they are aware of Abraham’s availability but they are yet to make a firm decision on whether to push for his signature or not.

Tottenham join the race to sign €60 million-rated Arsenal target - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Everton mainstay Amadou Onana amidst interest from Arsenal.

Ange Postecoglou is looking to further reinforce his squad ahead of next season. After a reasonably impressive first season at the North London club, the Australian manager seeks more depth in the centre of the park and according to Ignazio Genuardi, Tottenham have entered the race for the services of Arsenal target Amadou Onana.

The Belgian midfielder has established himself as one of the mainstays in the Everton first team since arriving at the club in 2022. The 22-year-old has been a consistent performer for both club and country and his work hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Arsenal are one of the clubs who are quite interested in his services. After once again falling short in the Premier League title race, Mikel Arteta wants to further bolster his squad. He wants someone who can form a dependable partnership with Declan Rice and Onana is quite high on their wishlist.

While the Gunners are positioning themselves to make a move for him, they will face stiff competition from rivals Tottenham for his services. Postecoglou seeks more depth and quality in the centre of the park and with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg likely to leave, the Belgian international could come in as an ideal replacement.

He is an integral part of Everton’s first team and his contract with them runs until the summer of 2027 but they could still sanction his departure amidst their financial struggles. The Toffees could let him leave for a fee of around €60 million.

Onana will add physicality and defensive cover to the Spurs midfield. The opportunity to play for the Londoners will be an exciting option for him as well. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done.
