Description

Tottenham Hotspur are accelerating their transfer activities ahead of the upcoming window, with a keen interest in signing Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.

Recent developments suggest that Spurs have overtaken Aston Villa in the race to secure the American international, according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the North London outfit has moved quickly to hijack the deal by agreeing a cut-price fee of around £15 million for the American.

This deal positions Tottenham as the frontrunner to sign McKennie, potentially disrupting Villa’s plans.

McKennie, whose contract with Juventus expires in June next year, has entered the final year of his current deal.

Spurs have already begun discussions with Juventus regarding the transfer, aiming to finalise the signing this summer.

McKennie’s previous loan spell in the Premier League with Leeds United during the 2022-23 season was less than stellar; he made 20 appearances, including 16 starts, but only registered one assist as Leeds faced relegation.

Upon returning to Juventus, however, McKennie found his form again. He made 38 appearances last season across all competitions, providing 10 assists.

This resurgence has made him a highly appealing target for Tottenham as they look to enhance their midfield options.

Spurs’ proactive approach demonstrates their ambition to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

Adding McKennie would bring a dynamic and creative presence to their midfield, providing the depth needed for a competitive campaign.

As negotiations progress, the fans will be eager to see if the Lilywhites can finalise the deal and officially bring Weston McKennie to North London.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s search for a centre-forward continues as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window.

Spurs have identified a promising target and have dispatched scouts to Euro 2024 to closely observe Turkish forward Semih Kilicsoy.

According to Turkish newspaper Sabah (via Sport Witness), the Lilywhites are not alone in their pursuit of the teenage striker.

Kilicsoy has attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester City, due to his exceptional talent.

Although the 18-year-old did not feature in Turkey’s 3-1 victory over Georgia in their opening group game, he is expected to play a role as the tournament progresses.

He had an excellent season with Besiktas in the Turkish Süper Lig, scoring 11 goals and providing 3 assists in 23 league appearances, showcasing his potential and skill.

The young forward is under a long-term contract with Besiktas which lasts until June 2028, having renewed his deal earlier in January.

Tottenham scouts are expected to be present at Turkey’s upcoming matches against Portugal and the Czech Republic.

The highly-talented striker is reportedly valued at €25 million, and with his notable goal-scoring record and potential for further development, he is a player Spurs are watching keenly during the tournament.

Tottenham could offer two players in a deal to sign Archie Gray

Tottenham could use ‘untraditional’ method to sign 18-year-old utility man - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham could offer Oliver Skipp and Joe Rodon to Leeds United in an attempt to sign Archie Gray.

Archie Gray has made an exceptional start to life at the senior level. Although Leeds missed out on an opportunity to return to the English top flight, the teenager has placed himself on the wishlist of the top clubs with his displays.

Tottenham are the ones looking to take him to the Premier League but they are yet to make an offer.

Journalist Dan Bardell has suggested that the North London club are considering offering Oliver Skipp and Joe Rodon in a swap deal to sign the teenager. Both players are surplus to requirements and they could help Tottenham sign one of the most exciting talents in English football.

While talking to Tottenham News, Bardell said: “It’s a deal that would make sense. I think we’re going to see these sorts of untraditional swaps this window with clubs looking to manipulate the market.

“Archie Gray feels like a player that would suit Tottenham and suit Ange Postecoglou. That would leave Skipp surplus to requirements, he’s not the first choice anyway and Gray coming in would put him further down the pecking order.

“He’s a player that needs a fresh start. Obviously, Rodon was there last season and they would take him back. If they helped get Tottenham closer to a move for Archie Gray then that would be a superb piece of business.“

In his first season at the senior level, Gray was involved in 52 matches and he racked up over 4,200 minutes. He had an impressive season where he succeeded in a midfield role as well as a right-back. His huge potential and versatility make him a very attractive option for the North London club.

Leeds will hope to keep him in their ranks for as long as possible. While they do need to sanction a few departures in the summer to balance their books, it will still be difficult for Spurs to convince them to part ways with Gray.

Ange Postecoglou’s men are all set to put forward an untraditional swap deal to try and sign the 18-year-old. They are willing to offer Rodon and Skipp to convince them. The Welsh centre-back spent last season on loan at Leeds and the Whites could be open to the idea of re-signing him.

Meanwhile, Skipp is not an important part of the Australian manager’s plans and Gray’s arrival could push him further down the pecking order. As a result, offering him to the Whites make sense.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. Swap deals are often difficult to execute, and this one is likely to be complicated as well.

Tottenham defender Emerson Royal approves of a move to AC Milan

Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal is ready to join European giants AC Milan.

The North London club are all set to make quite a few changes to their squad ahead of next season and Emerson Royal is one of the players who has been linked with a move away from the club.

The Brazilian full-back is not considered to be an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou’s system and Spurs are all set to sanction his departure. AC Milan are the ones who are keen on his signature and according to Corriere della Sera via SportWitness, the former Barcelona star has given his approval to a move to the Italian giants.

The Brazilian right-back is surplus to requirement at Tottenham. While he did feature in 24 matches last term, the majority of those appearances came because of an injury crisis at the back. Emerson still has two years left on his deal at the North London club but they are ready to offload him for €20 million.

AC Milan have been linked with the Brazilian full-back for a while now. The player has already agreed to a transfer to Italy and personal terms are not going to be a problem. With the player available for €20 million, the feeling is that Milan could get the deal done.

However, Emerson is not a priority target for Milan at this point. They are looking to bring in a top-class striker first, as a result, Tottenham’s patience could be tested as they look to offload the Brazilian and bring in a replacement.

Blow for Tottenham as 24-year-old target makes decision over his future - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Chelsea star Conor Gallagher

The North London club have a long-standing interest in securing Conor Gallagher’s services. They wanted to sign the Chelsea midfielder last summer as well. But, unfortunately, things didn’t go according to plan.

Tottenham retain their interest in the English international but according to a report from HITC, they have suffered a blow as Gallagher has no intentions of leaving his boyhood club and he has made it clear that he won’t be forced out of Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old won’t part ways with the Blues unless he feels it is the right thing to do for his career and at this point, he does not consider leaving Chelsea the right step. With Gallagher’s contract running out in 2025, there is a lot of talk about his future. Contract renewal talks are yet to get underway which is frustrating for the player and his representatives. But, he seems committed to the London club and is ready to pen a new deal if and when he is offered one.

With the player keen on staying at Stamford Bridge, Spurs have suffered a huge blow as they had identified him as their top target for the summer. Gallagher would have been a perfect fit for Ange Postecoglou’s system as he can feature in multiple roles in the centre of the park.

Given the kind of performances he put in last season, the 24-year-old would have been a great signing for the North London club but with him not keen on a move, Spurs will have to look at other options in midfield.

Tottenham closely monitoring situation of Premier League defender; Liverpool and Manchester United also after him - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are ‘closely monitoring’ Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, eyeing a potential summer transfer.

However, Spurs face competition for the England international, who are currently playing in the Euros.

According to the Daily Mail, Guehi has drawn interest from several Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool, as they seek to reinforce their defences for the upcoming season.

The 23-year-old, whose contract with Palace runs until June 2026, has become a pivotal player for both his club and country.

Guehi impressed in England’s 0-1 victory over Serbia in the opening group game of the Euros, completing 51 out of 53 passes with a 96% accuracy rate.

Additionally, he won all his ground duels, made four recoveries and made two clearances, showcasing his solid defensive skills. (FotMob)

Guehi’s performance mirrors his strong showing last season with Crystal Palace. Despite suffering a knee injury that sidelined him for nearly three months, he managed to make 25 Premier League appearances, starting 23 of those games and even captaining the team in several matches.

Currently, Guehi is concentrating on England’s Euro 2024 campaign in Germany, delaying any decisions about his club future.

However, once the tournament ends, Palace are expected to explore options for extending his contract to ward off interest from clubs like Tottenham.

Tottenham are looking to sign another centre-back this summer with Ange recently emphasising on the need to further bolster the defence.

However, considering Romero and Micky van de Ven’s performance last season, they are likely to remain Ange’s preferred partnership at the back. This will make any top quality player think twice before joining them as they would want assurance over regular playing time.

Agent of Tottenham midfielder appears to take a dig at Spurs as player seeks a summer move away - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Agent of Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg appeared to take a dig at Spurs during a recent interview, where he spoke about his agent seeking a move to an ambitious club.

The Danish international is in hunt for more regular playing time following his exclusion from Ange Postecoglou’s plans last season.

He fell down the pecking order under the Australian, with his role reduced to that of a squad player. Despite being a regular feature in the team, the majority of appearances came as a substitute.

Luca Puccinelli of Unique Sports Group Italy, who started representing Hojbjerg earlier this year, has made some fresh comments suggesting that the player is eyeing a future away from Spurs.

Puccinelli emphasised the defensive midfielder’s desire for a more ambitious project, hinting at the midfielder’s dissatisfaction with Tottenham’s lack of silverware.

Puccinelli lauded Hojbjerg’s achievements, highlighting his successful periods under renowned managers like Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte in North London, and his leadership in the Danish national team.

However, he made it clear that Hojbjerg aspires to join a club where he can compete for significant trophies, appearing to take a dig at Tottenham.

Puccinelli stated (as quoted by Fabrizio Romano):

“This year I started working with Pierre and it was a great satisfaction for me to be able to convince a top player for the project I had for him. Pierre has already experienced a lot in his career, he has had great seasons at Tottenham with top coaches like Mourinho and then Conte last year. In the national team he is a big leader as well”, says Luca Puccinelli from Unique Sports Group Italy.

“A player like him will surely be part of a club with great ambition or project because he is not just a strong player, but with a character made to fight for important things every year. Pierre feel comfortable in the pressure to win, and I am working in this sense.

“He is telling me that every year he dreams of trophies in the end of the season and don’t like to play for nothing. This is his mindset, this is the mission.”

Hojbjerg, now in the final year of his contract with no extension in sight, faces an uncertain future at Tottenham.

The Danish midfielder’s new agent has strong connections in Serie A, suggests a possible move to Italy.

Clubs such as AC Milan and Napoli are reportedly interested, along with Spanish side Atletico Madrid, who are closely monitoring his situation as well.

While proposals are already being considered, Puccinelli mentioned that decisions regarding Hojbjerg’s future will be made after the ongoing Euros.

Tottenham, on the other hand, will aim to secure a decent transfer fee for Hojbjerg to reinvest in strengthening other positions within the squad.

Tottenham have ‘carried out a survey’ as they plot move for £34m-rated defender - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Vanderson from AS Monaco before the summer transfer window closes.

According to journalist Bruno Andrade, they have now ‘carried out a survey’, but the North London outfit are yet to open negotiations with the French outfit.

The defender will cost around £34 million this summer and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for him. He is versatile enough to operate as a full-back as well as a wing-back.

Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done, and the Brazilian could prove to be a useful acquisition. He could operate on both flanks and he will add depth and quality to the side. Emerson Royal is expected to leave the club this summer, and the Brazilian could replace his compatriot.

The opportunity to move to the Premier league will be an exciting one for the 22-year-old and regular football in England could accelerate his development. He will be expected to compete with Pedro Porro for the starting spot. Competition for places will help both players improve.

Tottenham need to add more depth to their defensive unit this summer and they should look to sign a central defender along with a full-back. They will be competing in the UEFA Europa League next season and they need a deeper squad in order to deal with the fixture congestion. It will be interesting to see if the North London outfit follow up on their survey of the player with an official proposal now.

Tottenham have ‘strong interest’ in 22-year-old, could submit ‘substantial offer’ soon - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.

The 22-year-old is highly rated across Europe and he has a bright future. His performances have attracted the attention of Tottenham and Juventus.

According to a report from IlBianconero, the Premier League club have shown ‘strong interest’ in signing the central defender and they are ready to compete with Juventus for him. The report further states that Tottenham could come forward with a ‘substantial offer’ for the player soon. They have already initiated contact with the Italian club and the defender’s representatives regarding a potential move.

Calafiori is regarded as one of the finest defensive prospects in European football right now, and he has the attributes to develop into a world-class player. He is capable of operating as a central defender as well as a left back. His versatility will be an added bonus for Tottenham if they can get the deal done. It will be interesting to see if the Italian international is keen on a move to the Premier League. It could be an exciting opportunity for him.

That said, Juventus would be an attractive destination for the player as well. They are one of the biggest clubs in Italy and joining them would mean that the young defender can continue in his homeland. It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

It is fair to assume that Tottenham have more financial muscle compared to the Italian outfit and they might be able to pay a premium to Bologna. They have an exciting project and they will be able to offer the 22-year-old Europa league football next season. It remains to be seen whether that is enough to convince the defender to join them.

Tottenham have set their asking price for 26-year-old ace, three PL clubs keen - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon is expected to leave the club permanently during the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old Welsh international was on loan at Leeds United last season and he was a key player for them. There have been rumours that the Yorkshire giants could look to sign in permanently this summer, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

According to Football Insider, Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton are keen on signing the player this summer. Spurs are ready to sanction his departure for a fee of £10 million as well.

The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for the player and it will be interesting to see to see if the three promoted clubs are ready to pay the asking price.

Rodon is well-settled in English football and he could make an immediate impact. He could improve them defensively. Signing him for £10 million would represent a major bargain.

It will be interesting to see to see if Rodon decides to join Leeds eventually. The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be quite tempting for the defender.

He does not have a future at Spurs and the North London club will hope to recoup as much as possible for him and invest the money into the playing squad.

The newly promoted clubs certainly have the means to pay £10 million for the defender and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

Rodon is at the peak of his powers and he needs to join a club where he will get regular game time. He cannot afford to sit on the bench at this stage of his career. The Welshman must pick his next destination carefully.
