Antoine Semenyo is in demand

Pete O’Rourke claims: “Yeah, well look, right now Semenyo is probably going to be the most talked about player in the January window.

“Liverpool have been front runners for him, City now are also weighing up a move to trigger that release clause as well for around £65 million in January.

“Arsenal are admirers and they could make a move, Tottenham are admirers, and Manchester United have also showed an interest in Semenyo as well.

“So as I said, it’s going to be probably one of the transfers to watch for in January.”

Spurs could use Semenyo

It is no secret that Spurs need more quality in the final third, and the African will add goals and creativity to the side. He is a quality player who has shown his ability in the Premier League consistently. There is no doubt that he is good enough to play for the biggest clubs in the country. The opportunity to move to Tottenham could be exciting for him.

Signing a player like him in the middle of the season could lift the spirits around the club and help Tottenham improve during the second half of the season. “He’s under contract until 2027 but if he’s not going to sign a new deal by next summer, you would imagine Palace would be more increasingly open to selling Mateta to get a fee for him, rather than potentially letting him run down his contract.

“So, that could open the door for Spurs to make a move for the Frenchman.

“He’s a proven striker in the Premier League now over the last couple of seasons so be a really good fit for Spurs. There’s also reported interest from Italy, from AC Milan as well, in Mateta.”

Can Spurs sign Mateta in January?

It will be interesting to see if Crystal Palace are willing to sanction the departure of a key player in the middle of the season. Ideally, they will want to keep him until the end of the season. They are competing in European football, and they will look to finish high up in the table. Keeping the attacker at the club will be a priority for them.

On the other hand, Tottenham have struggled in recent weeks, and they need a reliable goal scorer. The French attacker could transform them in the final third and help them do well during the second half of the campaign.

RB Leipzig’s rising star Yan Diomandé is firmly on the radar of Europe’s top clubs. At just 19, the Ivorian winger has impressed with his performances, catching the eye across the continent. However, Leipzig is clear about his future: Diomandé is under contract until 2030.

Tied to Leipzig until June 2030, with a £87m (€100m) release clause. Leipzig’s managing director Marcel Schäfer has emphasised building around their young core and has no intention of selling mid-season, though interest validates their scouting.

That puts the German side in a strong position at the negotiating table. The Boy Hotspur says that Spurs have scouted the player for months. The possibility of January offer is real.

All the Premier League’s “Big Six”: Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham have sent scouts to watch him live in recent weeks. Chelsea had already tracked him in Spain before his move to Leipzig. Liverpool and City continue to monitor him closely, attending matches regularly. Leipzig value him on the same level as previous high-profile sales like Benjamin Sesko and Josko Gvardiol. While his current market value is around €20 million, that figure could rise quickly if his form continues.

Diomandé earns €750,000 per year in Germany, making him affordable in terms of wages. But the transfer fee required to sign him is only within reach for clubs with serious financial power.

Mikey Moore, the 17-year-old Tottenham Hotspur loanee, has made a strong return from injury in Rangers’ 3-0 Scottish Premiership victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. He came off the bench in the 76th minute with the score at 2-0, and Moore added the finishing touch just five minutes later in the 81st minute.

How is he getting on, up there?

Moore has featured prominently in 9 appearances across all competitions (5 starts, 4 substitute appearances). His per-90-minute figures highlight his growing influence. He’s scored twice now: His first came on November 9 vs. Dundee (3–0 win), a clinical finish that “topped off a positive few weeks.” His second arrived today (December 7) in an 81st-minute strike during a 3–0 away victory over Kilmarnock, making it 2 goals in 2 games.

He’s provided one assist in the League Cup vs. Alloa Athletic (4–2 win), setting up the opener.

The goal against Kilmarnock in detail:

Moore received the ball in the inside-left channel after a neat buildup involving Connor Barron, Nasser Djiga, and Jayden Meghoma.

He then showcased his dribbling flair by spinning away from his marker (Kilmarnock’s David Watson), bursting forward into space, and curling a precise low shot into the far bottom corner past goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi.

It was a moment of individual brilliance that highlighted Moore’s quick feet and composure under pressure, earning widespread praise as a “classy” and “sublime” finish.

It was nearly double: Moments later, in the 85th minute, Moore thought he’d grabbed a quick-fire brace by chipping over the advancing keeper from a tight angle after a through-ball from Danilo.

However, VAR ruled it out for a foul by Emmanuel Fernandez on Watson during the buildup.

The boy told Rangers TV: “It’s obviously a difficult place to come, but we’re really clinical and getting the goals… I scored a good goal and nearly another one.”

Bring him home!!!

This victory over the Bees ended a five-game winless streak for Spurs and marked their first home league victory since the opening day of the season. Archie Gray, starting alongside Rodrigo Bentancur in central midfield, was instrumental in Tottenham’s dominance, particularly in breaking up Brentford’s play and supporting the attack.

Overview of the game

Tottenham led 2-0 at half-time after a commanding first 45 minutes, limiting Brentford to a few threats despite an early physical push from the visitors.

Thomas Frank (Tottenham’s head coach and Brentford’s former manager) praised Gray’s awareness, positioning, and defensive work rate post-match, noting it as a “solid shift” that helped unlock the midfield.

Gray, who nearly joined Brentford in the summer of 2024 before signing with Tottenham, started his third league game of the season and grew into the match after a tentative opening. Playing in a deeper role, he provided balance to Tottenham’s midfield, dovetailing effectively with Bentancur to stifle Brentford’s transitions

Defensively, the boy made a series of strong sliding tackles to halt Brentford’s midfield movement; he picked up a yellow card in the 76th minute for a mistimed challenge but remained composed.

His midfield dominance was a tidy and energetic display; he cut out passing lanes and won back possession high up the pitch, enabling Xavi Simons’ forward runs.

Operated with a licence to advance from the pivot; provided overlapping runs on the left and contributed to the build-up for the opener.

It was a mature showing that solved Frank’s midfield selection dilemma; described as “undroppable” after unlocking Simons’ goal-scoring run.

Amazing what being played in the correct part of the park can do, eh?

Gray’s versatility—having been deployed across midfield and even right-back earlier in the season—has been a double-edged sword, but this performance in his preferred central role could earn him more starts. Frank highlighted his intelligence in reading the game and willingness to cover defensively, especially against Brentford’s physical style.

It’s The Sun that has the story, and regrettably, it’s more stupidity from Yves Bissouma, once again, being filmed inhaling nitrous oxide or ‘hippy crack’ as it is known. The shock footage of Bissouma using a nitrous oxide balloon was sent to a woman who had been invited to join him at a party in London. The presumably random woman then passed the story on to the paper. The club have launched an internal investigation. This has prompted an internal club investigation and raised questions about his future at the club.

Footage emerged showing Bissouma inhaling from a nitrous oxide balloon at a party in the early hours of November 3. The club has described it as an “internal matter.”

Tottenham confirmed the investigation, with reports suggesting Bissouma could “face the axe” due to his prior suspension. His contract expires in June 2026, but the club holds a one-year extension option. He’s currently sidelined with an ankle injury from an operation, potentially missing the Africa Cup of Nations.

Nitrous oxide for recreational use has been a Class C drug in the UK since November 2023. Possession with intent to inhale can result in up to two years in prison and unlimited fines, especially for repeat offenders.

Bissouma filmed himself inhaling hippy crack in a limousine after a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich

He was suspended for Tottenham’s Premier League opener against Leicester City and issued a public apology, he said at the time:

“This was a severe lack of judgment. I understand how serious this is, and the health risks involved, and I also take my responsibility as a footballer and role model very seriously.”

Manager at the time Ange Postecoglou called it a “poor decision” and emphasised Bissouma’s duties to the club, teammates, and fans. The incident drew criticism for setting a poor example, especially amid rising concerns about drug use in English football.

Bissouma, who joined Tottenham from Brighton for £25m in 2023, made 44 appearances last season but has been inconsistent. This repeated issue could jeopardise his role in the Spurs squad. The optics are not good, and Spurs will surely want shot of the player this winter.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in signing Nilson Angulo from Anderlecht.

The Ecuador international has done quite well for the Belgian club this season with 12 goal contributions. He could prove to be an excellent long-term investment for the north London club.

As per TEAMtalk, several other Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can win the race for his signature.

They are yet to follow up on their interest with an official proposal to get the deal done. It remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal.

Tottenham could use Angulo

It is no secret that they need more quality on the flanks. Mohammed Kudus has been excellent since joining the club, but he needs more support. They need a left-sided attacker, and it will be interesting to see if they can sign the South American. The 22-year-old is a hard-working player who will help out defensively as well. He could prove to be the ideal acquisition for Thomas Frank.

Angulo has been described as a player with “precise dribbling and innate ability in one-on-one situations”.

The Denmark manager could groom the 22-year-old into a quality player and help him fulfil his potential. Regular football in England will help him improve and accelerate his development. He has the technical attributes to thrive in English football, and signing him for the right amount of money could prove to be a masterstroke.

Nilson Angulo could be tempted to join

The player will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining a big club like Tottenham. It would be the ideal next step for him, and he will look to fight for major trophies.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Ideally, Tottenham should look to invest in a quality wide player and a striker in January. They are struggling right now, and they need quality players to turn things around.
