Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Liverpool attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott during the summer transfer window.

According to former Premier League scout Mick Brown, Liverpool and Newcastle United are keen on the 22-year-old midfielder, and they could look to test the waters for him with an offer.

“There’s no shortage of interest in Harvey Elliott,” he told Football Insider.

“Newcastle and Tottenham are the latest names I’ve heard, both of them are going to test the waters and see what it would take to bring him in.

“They’ll speak to his agent and find out what he’s asking for and what Liverpool are going to want.”

Liverpool exit would be ideal for the player

Elliott needs regular time at this stage of his career, and Liverpool will not be able to provide him with that. Leaving the Premier League champions could be ideal for his development. It will be interesting to see if he is willing to join Tottenham or Newcastle.

He needs to join a club where he will play regularly. Spurs will have to provide him with gametime assurances for the move to go through.

Harvey Elliott would be a solid addition

Elliott has shown his qualities in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League during his cameo with Liverpool, and there is no doubt that he is good enough for the biggest clubs in the country. He is capable of operating in multiple attacking roles, and he will help create opportunities for his teammates and find the back of the net as well.

The attacking midfielder was outstanding for England under-21s in the recently concluded Euros earlier this summer. He will look to establish himself as a player for his club and country going forward.

Tottenham eyeing up a move for Bayern Munich star Kim Min-Jae - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs keen on signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-Jae.

According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, they are one of the clubs “starting to make moves” for the 28-year-old South Korean international, who could be on his way out of the German club this summer. They may also face competition from rivals Chelsea.

Tottenham wanted to sign Min-Jae a couple of years ago as well.

Tottenham could use Kim Min-Jae

It is no secret that Tottenham need more depth in their defensive unit, and the South Korean could prove to be a solid acquisition. Cristian Romero has been linked with a move away from the club, and Min-Jae could be a quality replacement.

He is at the peak of his powers, and the opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting. Furthermore, Tottenham star Son Heung-min might play a key role in convincing his compatriot to join the club.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs can secure an agreement with the German champions. The 28-year-old central defender helped Bayern Munich win the league title last season, and he understands what it takes to play for a top club and compete for trophies.

Tottenham are looking to build a squad capable of consistently challenging for silverware. The South Korean would certainly be a useful addition.

He has the physical attributes to adapt to Premier League football and could make an immediate impact at Tottenham. He has previously been described as “outstanding” by teammate Joshua Kimmich.

The South Korean could be tempted to join Spurs

Tottenham could be an attractive destination for the experienced defender.

They won the UEFA Europa League last season and have secured a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming campaign. With a talented squad and a quality manager like Thomas Frank, their project could appeal to the South Korean international this summer.

Bayern Munich’s financial demands scupper transfer deal as Spurs man’s fitness is questioned - The Boy Hotspur
Description

One of the possible many positives of appointing Thomas Frank at Tottenham, one might be pulling the trigger on one or two players who still remain in the ‘Where are they now?’ file. Good works have been done, shifting Sergio Reguilon, Fraser Forster and Alfie Whiteman who have all now left Spurs after their contracts expired.

One name continues to lurk in the shadows at Hotspur Way, and his name is Bryan Gil. The Spanish winger, despite once having his own personal chef, he failed to bulk up and get anywhere near Premier League levels.

Gil’s time ‘at Spurs’ has consisted of multiple loan spells, including Valencia, Sevilla, and most recently Girona, where he showed some hint of promise with three goals and three assists. This was before a season-ending knee injury requiring surgery, last term. If we are honest with ourselves, it’s been an out-and-out disaster.

Meanwhile, Bryan Zaragoza, the Bayern Munich winger, has been in talks with Barcelona and Celta Vigo, neither of whom are flush with cash.

Celta Vigo had proposed a deal to sign Zaragoza on €2 million with a mandatory purchase clause of around €12-15 million, which has now stalled, (of course).

According to Mundo Deportivo, Gil has ‘offered himself’ to Celta Vigo, on the threat of being available on free in January. Is the lad a serious alternative? It feels all too little too late.

Yes, it is messy, and worse yet, Gil needs to demonstrate that he’s physically able to feature for anyone, at this stage.

Tottenham need to wash their face, yet again, and get yet another boy out the door.

‘No time line given’ by Premier League as infomation surrounding Evangelos Marinakis’s ‘tantrum’ emerges - The Boy Hotspur
Description

This summer’s comedy transfer is likely to be announced well before the window closes, due to the outstanding nature of Evangelos Marinakis’s complaint, which is now officially lodged with the Premier League.

In a nutshell, it appears that without communicating with Nottingham Forest directly, Tottenham rocked up to Marinakis, and essentially said, ‘Hi, we’d like to meet Gibbs-White’s release clause and how would you like the money paid?’

Now, to know the clause amount, and indeed to have the willingness of the player to transfer to Spurs, more than suggests that Nottingham Forest had been cut out of the loop.

Such a confidentiality breach was undoubtedly caused by the player himself or his agents, so that’s where the issue stems from. As far as a legal redress, Evangelos is frankly wishing.

A source tells TheBoyHotspur that it’s simply a tantrum, and his legal team is trying to break it to him gently that he’s essentially behaving in a somewhat irrational manner, even if the law is technically on his side.

Yes, Mr Marinakis could demand that either the player stay or that THFC pays Nottingham Forest more money, but both of those outcomes seem unlikely to work in reality.

The reality of all football transfer shenanigans these days is that slavery was abolished in this country in 1833, so all that might come Forest’s way are a few extra pounds in compensation. The cold truth is that a player cannot be forced to play for Nottingham Forest, or indeed anyone.

One suspects the chairman may relent, but only after he’s had his say, which, given his recent on-pitch outburst with former Spurs gaffer, Nuno Espírito Santo, may be quite a wordy riposte.

Tottenham needs to get Morgan on their preseason tour, and the sooner a compromise can be struck, the better for all concerned.

As for Spurs, Daniel Levy may wish to have a closer look at exactly how the discussions with Gibbs-White were undertaken and establish the veracity of any claims. Spurs have faced similar issues in the past with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov and Luka Modrić, and so it is unlikely claims of naivety will be taken very seriously.

What Tottenham target has told his club after confidential information leak will excite Spurs fans - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window.

There have been reports that they have decided to trigger the £60 million release clause in his contract this summer. Nottingham Forest are powerless to stop him from leaving, but they are trying to delay the move by taking legal action against Tottenham.

Player determined to secure summer move

According to TBR Football, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is furious that Spurs have found out about the confidential release clause in the midfielder’s contract. However, Gibbs-White has now informed the club that he wishes to join Tottenham no matter what.

It seems that Nottingham Forest might be able to delay the move, but they will not be able to deny the player a summer exit. They are only delaying the inevitable for now.

Meanwhile, the fact that the player has already informed the club that he wants to join Spurs will come as a huge boost for the North London outfit. Tottenham fans will certainly be excited about the potential move, and it remains to be seen whether the club can get the deal across the line.

Tottenham needs someone like Morgan Gibbs-White

They need more quality and depth in the final third, and the 25-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. His ability to carve out opportunities for his teammates and slot into multiple attacking roles could make him an asset for Tottenham.

The midfielder scored seven goals in the Premier League last season and picked up 10 assists. He will look to compete at the highest level with Tottenham and prove his quality in the Champions League as well.

It will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground running at Tottenham and justify the £60 million investment if the transfer goes through.

Thomas Frank weighing up dream signing, Tottenham would need to break transfer record - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur remain keen on signing the Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton this summer.

According to a report from GMS, the 21-year-old midfielder would be a dream signing for Thomas, Frank, and Tottenham continue to keep tabs on him, even though he will cost a substantial amount of money.

Tottenham would have to break their transfer record in order to sign the England international midfielder. However, Frank is a huge admirer, and Tottenham are not prepared to give up on the move.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham come forward with a substantial offer to sign the player in the coming weeks. They need a reliable defensive midfielder who can protect the back four and control games from the deep. Wharton could be the ideal acquisition for them in theory.

He is one of the most talented players in the Premier League right now, and signing him would be a major coup for Tottenham. The opportunity to join the North London club could be quite exciting for the young midfielder as well. He would get to play at a high level and compete in the UEFA Champions League.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops. Tottenham are looking to build a squad capable of pushing for trophies regularly. Players like Wharton could develop into future stars for them.

They have already signed Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United. Spurs are expected to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest as well.

It will be interesting to see if they can wrap up the window with a blockbuster move for the Crystal Palace midfielder. He has all the tools to develop into a world-class player with the right guidance, and Tottenham could bring out the best in him.

‘There’s interest in him’ box office Spurs name suddenly tipped for summer exit - The Boy Hotspur
Description

The word ‘revolution’ is as much overused in football as the word ‘disgrace’, such is the daily demand for hyperbole. That said, after two seasons of mostly chaos from Ange Postecoglou, where the winning of a cup left the club’s board simultaneously looking at glory and humiliation in equal measure, a significant shake-up was inevitable.

The appointment of Thomas Frank was significant in that it signalled the complete disappointment in the lucky bag approach of his predecessor, and a return to traditional football values, such as league performance, brand reputation and commercial success.

It took ENIC several decades to get to where they are, and in just one season, one man was looking to set fire to their efforts.

A Europa League cup would be cold comfort in the Championship, where a side with no obvious strikers, a leaky defence and Yves Bissouma looked unlikely to spring back with ease into the top flight.

Mick Brown, a former scout, talking to Football Insider,

“Tottenham are prepared to let Son leave this summer. If you look at the business they’re doing, or trying to do, it seems it would pave the way for all parties to move on and head in a new direction. There’s interest in him from Saudi Arabia and the MLS, those are the options that are available.”

The reality is that Sonny is a shadow of the player he used to be, and time doesn’t increase anyone’s speed or recovery journey.

Moving on a club stalwart, especially after finally landing silverware that meant something, has no shame attached to it.

Tottenham under Frank need to be slicker, hungrier, and hungrier than ever before, and supporting an ageing star is simply not part of that future.

Tottenham have already sent out a clear message that the Postecoglou era is over with the appointment of Mohammed Kudus and (once the fake legal complaint is dealt with) Morgan White-Gibbs.

Romano on ‘tense situation’ regarding Tottenham transfer, but target has handed them a huge boost - The Boy Hotspur
Description

Tottenham Hotspur continue to pursue a move for Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest.

Initially, there were reports that they had triggered a £60 million release clause in the contract of the midfielder, and the deal is close to completion. However, the move has now stalled after Nottingham Forest decided to take legal action against Tottenham for making an illegal approach.

Tottenham confident of getting deal done

Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that it is a tense situation as far as the transfer is concerned, but Tottenham are confident of getting the deal done, and they are expecting to proceed soon.

He said to GMS: “Yes, they are (confident). It’s a tense situation, but Spurs hope to be able to proceed soon.”

On the other hand, TBR football are now reporting that the midfielder has already informed Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis that he wants to join Tottenham this summer. That will come as a huge boost for the north London club, and it will give them a position of strength when it comes to negotiations.

Nottingham will not want to hold onto the player against his wishes, and it is fair to assume that an agreement could be reached soon. The fact that Tottenham are willing to pay his release clause should make the deal easier to complete.

Tottenham need Morgan Gibbs-White

Tottenham need more creativity and drive in the middle of the park, and the 25-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. He is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. His versatility will be an added bonus.

The player was outstanding in the Premier League last season, scoring seven goals and picking up 10 assists. His numbers could improve when he is playing in a better team alongside quality players. The move to Tottenham could bring out the best in him.

It’s all go at Spurs, which is a phrase many of you will have heard before, but the reality of this situation is that the carnage caused by Ange Postecoglou has come with consequences. Donna Marie Cullen doesn’t work here any more, and there’s more change in store.
