Tottenham are reportedly escalating their interest in Lecce defender Patrick Dorgu during the January transfer window, targeting the versatile youngster as a solution to their left-back concerns following Destiny Udogie’s injury.

The 20-year-old Danish defender has been on Spurs’ radar for a while, but recent circumstances have pushed the North London club to accelerate their efforts to secure his signature.

Tottenham could make move for Patrick Dorgu in coming weeks

According to GiveMeSport, Tottenham are ready to intensify their pursuit of Dorgu and could make a move for him in the coming weeks. However, competition from Premier League heavyweights such as Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea could make the race highly competitive.

Dorgu’s performances for Lecce this season have been impressive, showcasing his adaptability and skill across multiple positions. After moving to Italy in 2022, the young defender progressed through Lecce’s youth system before making his senior debut in August 2023 during a Coppa Italia match against Como.

This season, Dorgu has demonstrated versatility by playing on both sides of Lecce’s backline and occasionally as a right winger. His contributions include three goals in 19 appearances across all competitions, taking his overall tally for the club to 5 goals and 1 assist in 53 games. (Transfermarkt)

Tottenham’s ongoing injury challenges, particularly in defensive areas, have increased the urgency for reinforcements. With Udogie out of action, manager Ange Postecoglou is eager to add depth and quality to the squad, and Dorgu’s ability to operate effectively in multiple roles makes him a strong candidate.

Although Dorgu is valued at €20 million, his long-term contract with Lecce, extending until 2029, could present obstacles during negotiations. However, Spurs’ determination to strengthen their squad and stay ahead in the race for Dorgu underscores their commitment to building for both the present and the future.

Securing Dorgu would not only provide immediate support but also align with Tottenham’s strategy of investing in young, versatile talents capable of making an impact for years to come.

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski is reportedly on the radar of Italian club AC Milan.

Zlatan Ibrahimović is looking to play a key role in bringing his compatriot back to Italian football. According to Milan Live, Ibrahimović has been in contact with Kulusevski regarding a potential move. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to sanction his departure in the coming months.

He has been a key player for the North London club, and he is undoubtedly one of the first names on the team sheet. Tottenham need to hold onto their best players if they want to fight for major trophies and losing the Swedish international would be a major blow for them.

The 24-year-old has re-discovered himself after a change of role this season. Kulusevski has been used centrally and he has exceeded with his playmaking abilities. Apart from his ability to create goalscoring opportunities for his teammates with his passing and vision, the Swedish international has helped the side defensively with his work as well.

The midfielder has 2.3 key passes and 4.3 ball recoveries per game this season and Tottenham will not want to lose an asset like him any time soon. Milan might have to come forward with a lucrative proposal to change their mind. It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few months.

Tottenham are currently focused on bouncing back during the second half of the season and securing qualification to the Champions League. They have been quite mediocre during the first half of the campaign, and they will need to get their season back on track with impressive performances now.

The 24-year-old will be expected to play a key role in their turnaround over the next few months.

Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on signing the AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori.

The North London club are keeping tabs on his situation and they could look to make a move for him in January. According to TBR Football, they will face competition from Newcastle United and West Ham United.

Tottenham need to bring in a central defender and the 27-year-old would be a quality addition. He knows the league well and could settle quickly and make an instant impact. He has not been a regular starter for the Italian club this season and he needs to move on in search of regular football.

Tomori has a 93% pass accuracy this season and 1.8 clearances per game. He could help Spurs tighten up at the back.

Tottenham are currently lacking in depth in the defensive unit and they need a quality central defender. Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have had their fair share of injury problems and the North London outfit have struggled in their absence.

Radu Dragusin is the only fit central defender at the club right now. Tottenham need more options at the disposal and the former Chelsea Academy graduate could prove to be a useful acquisition.

Tomori might feel that he has unfinished business in the Premier League, and he could be keen on returning to his homeland. Tottenham have a talented squad and an exciting project. The 27-year-old will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining them, especially if they can provide him with ample first-team opportunities.

Tottenham need to improve their squad if they want to bounce back strongly and secure Champions League qualification for the next season. They have been quite mediocre during the first half of the campaign. It remains to be seen of the situation develops.

Tottenham are reportedly considering a January move for AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori to address their ongoing defensive struggles.

The English defender, a former Chelsea player, has captured Spurs’ attention as they grapple with a depleted backline due to injuries.

Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Ben Davies remain sidelined, forcing manager Ange Postecoglou to rely on makeshift pairings like Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray.

With Tottenham’s defensive frailties evident, Tomori’s wealth of experience and proven ability in Serie A make him an attractive option.

Despite being a consistent performer for AC Milan in the Champions League this season, Tomori’s league appearances have been limited, raising speculation about his future at the Italian club under new manager Sergio Conceicao.

Fabrizio Romano when asked if the player could join Tottenham this month said (via his GiveMeSport column):

“No news on this so far. Tomori’s future depends on Sergio Conceicao now, as he was not a key player under former manager Paulo Fonseca. Let’s see what Milan decide to do now with their new manager.”

Could Fikayo Tomori be the solution to Spurs’ struggles?

Since joining AC Milan permanently in 2021, Fikayo Tomori has established himself as a reliable defender, playing a crucial role in their 2021–22 Serie A title win and earning a spot in the Team of the Year.

His defensive prowess, leadership, and experience in high-stakes matches could provide Tottenham with the stability they desperately need.

Tomori has made 15 appearances for Milan this season and remains under contract until 2027, with a reported market valuation of €22 million.

This makes him a realistic target for Spurs, who are keen to bolster their defensive options and reignite their Premier League campaign.

Whether Tottenham can strike a deal for the 27-year-old remains uncertain, but landing Tomori would undoubtedly be a step toward addressing their pressing defensive concerns.

Tottenham are navigating growing transfer speculation surrounding their captain, Heung-min Son, as former manager Jose Mourinho, now at Fenerbahce, is reportedly interested in reuniting with the South Korean star.

Reports from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport suggest Mourinho has identified Son as one of three marquee signings he hopes to bring to the Turkish side.

This speculation arises amidst claims that the left-winger is unhappy due to delays in Tottenham’s handling of his contract situation.

Son, a key figure at Spurs since his arrival in 2015, is currently in the final year of his contract.

While the club has the option to extend the deal by an additional year, the lack of urgency in activating this clause has allegedly left Son unhappy.

Son would be eligible to negotiate with non-English clubs for a potential move if no action is taken before January 1.

Despite his future uncertainty, the 32-year-old forward has continued excelling as a Tottenham leader. Appointed club captain in August 2023, Son has been instrumental both on and off the pitch.

This season, he has scored five goals and made six assists in 16 Premier League appearances, maintaining his form despite battling injuries earlier in the campaign.

Son’s tenure at Spurs has been filled with remarkable achievements. He became the club’s all-time Premier League assist leader and reached the historic milestone of scoring 100 Premier League goals, becoming the first Asian player to do so. Most recently, he demonstrated his impact by scoring a winning goal directly from a corner in a dramatic 4-3 EFL Cup quarterfinal win against Manchester United. (StatMuse)

While Mourinho’s interest adds intrigue to the situation, comments from Son’s agent suggest optimism for Spurs fans. The agent has affirmed Son’s commitment to Tottenham, expressing confidence that a new contract offer will materialize. The Lilywhites now face a pivotal decision to secure their captain’s long-term future and stave off external interest.

Tottenham are reportedly keeping a close eye on Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo as questions arise regarding the Spaniard’s registration status due to the Catalan club’s financial challenges.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Spurs are one of several clubs to have inquired about Olmo’s potential availability, particularly if the 26-year-old becomes a free agent in January.

This situation stems from Barcelona’s inability to guarantee his registration amid ongoing salary cap issues, despite Olmo signing a six-year deal with the club in August 2024 following a €60 million transfer from RB Leipzig.

Olmo’s performances this season underscore why he has drawn interest from top clubs like Tottenham. The versatile midfielder has been a standout for Hansi Flick’s side, netting five goals in 11 La Liga appearances, taking his career tally to 73 goals and 64 assists in 324 appearances across all competitions.

His ability to influence games with creativity and decisive contributions makes him a prime target for Ange Postecoglou, who is eager to strengthen Spain’s squad in the winter window.

The Spanish international has also excelled on the international stage. Olmo played a pivotal role in Spain’s UEFA Euro 2024 victory, scoring three goals, including a critical performance in the final against England. His efforts earned him a share of the tournament’s Golden Boot, further enhancing his status as one of Europe’s most sought-after talents.

Barcelona had temporarily resolved Olmo’s registration by leveraging salary space from Andreas Christensen’s long-term injury, but this arrangement is set to expire at the end of 2024. A recent court ruling has further complicated matters, potentially opening the door for Olmo to negotiate with other clubs.

If Tottenham can capitalise on this uncertainty, securing Olmo would be a significant acquisition, adding a dynamic and creative presence to their midfield.

While Olmo remains tied to Barcelona until 2030, Spurs are well-positioned to act decisively and bring a high-calibre player to North London, potentially without incurring a transfer fee.

However, they will face stiff competition from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City who are strongly linked with the player.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Celtic attacker Nicolas Kuhn.

According to a report from TBR Football, Tottenham are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old German attacker and they are hoping to secure his services. Celtic signed the player in 2023 and he has been a smash hit for them.

The Scottish champions will demand a substantial amount of money if Tottenham come calling. The player has 14 goals and 11 assists in 25 games this season and he could transform Spurs in the attack. The player is on the radar of Aston Villa and Newcastle United as well.

They need to add more creativity and goals to their attacking unit and the 24-year-old is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three. Naturally, he is a right-sided attacker, but he is capable of operating on the left as well as a centre forward.

Tottenham have an ambitious project and a talented squad at their disposal. They will be an attractive destination for most players and it remains to be seen whether they can get a deal done for Kuhn. Regular football in England could help the player improve further and establish himself as a regular for the German national team as well.

Tottenham sent scouts to watch some of their potential targets and the French midfielder has popped up on their radar because of his impressive displays.

Lyon are under pressure to sell players in January as they look to raise funds and Tottenham are hoping to take advantage of the situation and get the deal done. They could certainly use more quality in the middle of the park, and the French midfielder would be the ideal acquisition. Spurs have been linked with other midfielders as well.

He is capable of operating as a central as well as a defensive midfielder. He will add physicality, defensive cover and composure to the side from the deep. The player has the qualities to succeed in English football and he could be a very useful player for Tottenham. The midfielder has produced 2.3 tackles and 2.7 ball recoveries per game. He could form a solid partnership with the likes of Yves Bissouma if he joins the club.

It is fair to assume that the player could be available for a reasonable amount of money because of Lyon’s financial situation. Spurs are closely monitoring the player and it will be interesting to see if they follow up on their interest with an official offer soon.

“A deal which could happen” – Spurs could work a player-plus-cash deal to sign Championship star in January

Bryan King believes Tottenham could consider a player-plus-cash deal for Sunderland’s standout goalkeeper, Anthony Patterson, during the January transfer window.

The Lilywhites have been struggling with an injury crisis this season, with the goalkeeping position particularly affected.

First-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario has been sidelined since November following ankle surgery, leaving Spurs reliant on veteran Fraser Forster.

With Forster’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, securing a dependable backup has become a priority for the club.

Former club scout Bryan King has suggested that Tottenham could include Brandon Austin in a deal to acquire Patterson.

Austin, a product of Spurs’ youth system, has gained experience through loan spells at Viborg FF and Orlando City.

Despite recently stepping into the role of backup goalkeeper, Austin has yet to make a significant impact in the first team, making him a potential bargaining chip in negotiations.

Anthony Patterson has been a crucial player for Sunderland, cementing his position as their starting goalkeeper and playing a pivotal role in the club’s promotion from League One in 2022.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form this season, recording seven clean sheets in 20 Championship appearances.

His composure, consistency, and ability to deliver under pressure have earned him widespread recognition as a rising talent.

While Sunderland may be hesitant to part with one of their key players, especially as they push for promotion, a well-structured offer involving cash and Austin might persuade them to consider the deal.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Bryan King said:

“Tottenham definitely need to sign another goalkeeper.

“However, signing Patterson in January might be difficult. Austin doesn’t seem close to getting an opportunity at Tottenham. Therefore, perhaps Spurs could offer Austin plus cash to sign Patterson.

“At present, Austin is Spurs’ number two, and it would make sense for Spurs’ number two to be offered in a deal for Sunderland’s number one. That is a deal which could happen. However, would Sunderland, who are pushing for promotion, want to get rid of one of their main assets?

“Money would need to be included, and I don’t think it would be small money, because at present Sunderland don’t need to sell, but Spurs do need to sign a goalkeeper because if anything happens to Fraser Forster, they could be in trouble.”

For Tottenham, signing Patterson would not only address their immediate goalkeeping concerns but also provide a long-term solution to complement Vicario.

As the Lilywhites prepare for a challenging second half of the season, strengthening the squad with a reliable option in goal could prove essential in maintaining their competitive edge.
