Tottenham Hotspur striker Richarlison has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.

The 27-year-old striker has not been able to live up to the expectations since moving to the London club. He has struggled to hit top form for Tottenham and he is currently struggling with injury problems. He has 16 goals in 73 games for Tottenham.

Brazilian outfit Fluminense are now prepared to provide him with an exit route in January. The President of the Brazilian club has now revealed that he wants to sign the Tottenham attacker next month and he has already made enquiries about the player.

Mario Bittencourt added that Tottenham are open to the offer and they are willing to listen. However, a deal will be quite difficult to execute and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

He said to Globo Esporte: “Tottenham responded that they are open to the offer, but that they are not currently interested in getting rid of the player, but they are willing to listen. We are also talking to the player to see if he is interested in returning. What is certain is that we have expressed formal interest in Richarlison.

“We know how difficult it will be to bring him, but we believe that he may want to be close to the Brazilian national team, to return home, to the club where he stood out. I have a close relationship with him. We have drawn up an initial document with the English club, without an offer yet, but asking if they would like to negotiate.”

The opportunity to return to his former club could be quite exciting for the player as well, and it remains to be seen whether he is ready to return to Brazil at this stage of his career. Even though the South American is an extremely talented player, he has not been able to contribute consistently at the North London club. A fresh start could be ideal for him.

Tottenham paid around £60 million to sign the player in 2022, and he is likely to be a cheap acquisition. Fluminense might have to pay a premium to get a deal across the line.

Tottenham beat Southampton 5-0 on Sunday night in what was an utterly dominating performance from Ange Postecoglou’s side.

James Maddison opened the scoring within 40 seconds of kick-off, finishing off a lovely assist from young full-back Djed Spence.

Pape Matar Sarr then displayed lovely composure and skill to score the fourth of the game in the 25th minute before James Maddison scored his second of the night from the tightest of angles to make it 5 just before half-time.

The game was won in the first-half, with the majority of Southampton fans having left the stadium, leaving St.Mary’s half empty. There were no more goals in the second half with the game finishing 5-0.

One of the standout performers was the returning Djed Spence who made his first start for Tottenham in the Premier League this season and capped off the fine performance with an assist.

However, his perfect night out ended in a concern with Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold reporting that the defender was seen limping at full-time.

Gold reported on X:

“Djed Spence was seen limping away after going over to the Spurs fans. Hopefully just a bit of tiredness and cramp after his first prolonged spell of football in a long while.”

Djed Spence concern as Tottenham’s injury list continues to grow

If Spence did pick up an injury, he will join the long list of players out injured in what has been a frustrating time for Ange Postecoglou.

The injuries have been a serious problem for him since he took the job. He made a solid start last season but injuries derailed his campaign. And while Spurs have been inconsistent this season, one of the reasons behind the disappointing results has been the long list of injuries to key first-team players.

The game also saw Destiny Udogie pick up an injury in the first half, who was then replaced by Pedro Porro. With Romero, Micky van de Ven, Ben Davies and Vicario all out, Ange has been left short of options at the back, having to do with makeshift options.

Ange Postecoglou has paid tribute to the performance of Djed Spence in Tottenham’s emphatic win over Southampton on Sunday.

Spence made his first appearance since mid-November and his first start of the season on the south coast as Spurs scored five goals in the first half to seal a 5-0 victory.

Tottenham closely monitoring the development of “fantastic talent” from South America!

The 24-year-old thoroughly rewarded his manager for giving him the opportunity, setting up James Maddison’s opener in the opening minute with a powerful run and precision pass.

Spence went on to create two chances in his 77 minutes on the pitch, while completing two of his four attempted dribbles and playing nine passes into the final third.

The right-back also made three tackles, three clearances, one interception and one recovery to help Spurs keep their first clean sheet since the 4-0 win over Man City on November 23rd.

Djed Spence: Ange pays tribute to fringe Spurs star

Even Spence himself couldn’t have predicted such an immediate impact on his return to the Spurs line-up.

But Posteceoglou has heaped praise on the full-back for the ‘patience and perseverance’ he’s shown, waiting behind the likes of Pedro Porro and Archie Gray for his opportunities.

“Djed has had to bide his time. To be fair, it’s the one area of the pitch where we’ve had cover this year with Archie playing at right-back, so he’s had to be patient,” Postecoglou told reporters after Sunday’s win (via Football.London).

It’s a testament to him and the coaches who have worked with him in training that he could come on today. We needed him for sure, not just to play but to make an impact and he did. Great reward for his patience and perseverance.

Up next for Spurs is a clash at home to Man Utd in the EFL Cup before hosting Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

Yang has gone public to state he ‘feels ready’ to make an immediate impact with the Lilywhites.

“My goal is to complete the remainder of the season without injuries, participate in matches, and contribute to the team with goals or assists. I haven’t set specific personal goals yet,” Yang said (via TBR).

Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring the development of Preston North End prodigy Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile.

The 18-year-old Argentine prospect is highly rated across the country and he has a bright future ahead of himself. According to Fichajes, Tottenham are interested in securing his services.

It will be interesting to see if they come forward with an official offer in the coming months. Tottenham have shown a willingness to snap up talented young players in recent years, and it is no surprise that they are keen on the Argentine.

He has the technical attributes to develop into a top-quality player with the right guidance, and Tottenham could nurture him into a future star. The player has been previously described as a fantastic talent by former Preston manager Ryan Lowe.

The 18-year-old is a natural centre forward, but he has the flair and technical attributes to operate in the wide areas as well.

Lowe said in 2022: “He is a fantastic talent and one we have to keep tabs on, which we are, of course. We get reports on all of the kids when they’re performing. Again, we can’t get too carried away with him and we’ve got to play him down a bit, but he looks like an exciting prospect for us.”

Felipe Rodriguez-Gentile would be a future asset

The 18-year-old is clearly an exceptional talent and Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. He would be a future investment for them, and the move could look like a major bargain in the long term.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League could be quite exciting for the youngster as well. Regular exposure to top-flight football could accelerate his development and help him fulfil his potential. Tottenham have an exciting project as well and Ange Postecoglou could play a key role in his development.

Other English clubs are keeping tabs on his situation as well, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham can swoop in quickly and get the deal across the line.

Tottenham Hotspur will look to sign a quality central defender and a goalkeeper in January.

According to former Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson, they need more depth in the defensive unit, those are the two areas they are looking to strengthen next month and it remains to be seen whether they can bring in the right additions.

Robinson said: “It’ll be a centre-back and a goalkeeper. A new centre-back and a new goalkeeper will be the two areas they look at in January. Fraser Forster has done really well, but I think they need somebody alongside him because behind him they’ve got nothing.”

It is no surprise that they are looking to bring in a quality central defender, especially with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven struggling with injury problems. Radu Dragusin is the only fit central defender at the club right now.

Tottenham will hope to secure Champions League qualification for the next season and they need to improve during the second half of the campaign in order for that to happen. They need quality players to bounce back strongly.

Spurs aiming to sign a keeper from lower leagues

Meanwhile, a report from Football Insider claims that Tottenham will look to sign a talented young goalkeeper from the lower leagues as well. They are hoping to add more depth to the goalkeeping unit. Fraser Forster will need to be replaced at the end of the season and it makes sense to invest in a talented young player who could push Guglielmo Vicario for the starting spot in the coming seasons.

Young players will certainly be attracted to the idea of joining Tottenham and they might be able to sign a quality prospect for a reasonable amount of money as well. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.

Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on the Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor.

According to a report from Football Insider, they will face competition from Manchester United as well. The 28-year-old would prefer to play in the Premier League in the near future and he could be attracted to the idea of joining Tottenham.

Spurs need a quality backup goalkeeper and Victor could compete with Guglielmo Vicario for the starting spot. Tottenham need an alternative to Fraser Forster, and it will be interesting to see if they can sign the 28-year-old in the coming months.

The 6’5″ goalkeeper has been in impressive form for Botafogo this season and he has kept 22 clean sheets. He has helped them win the Copa Libertadores and the Brazilian league. He will look to test himself in another league now and a move to the Premier League could be ideal. The player is at the peak of his powers, and he will look to compete at the highest level.

John Victor keen on a Premier League switch

Tottenham have a talented squad and an ambitious project. They could help him push for trophies in the coming seasons. Meanwhile, the player’s agent has confirmed that the Brazilian goalkeeper has attracted interest from several European clubs, but he would prefer to join the Premier League. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal across the line.

He said: “There has been interest from clubs in England, Germany, Portugal and elsewhere, but John would prefer to play in the best league in the world – the Premier League.”

Tottenham will be hoping to negotiate a reasonable fee for the 28-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper, and it will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds. Manchester United need goalkeeping depth in the side as well, and they are likely to provide strong competition for his signature.

It is no surprise that Tottenham need defensive reinforcements and they are keeping tabs on the Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk.

According to a report from TBR Football, they are keeping tabs on the Leeds defender and they will face competition from Brighton and Wolves.

Struijk has done quite well for Leeds and it is no surprise that top clubs are following him closely. The Dutchman could prove to be a useful acquisition for Tottenham. They need to bring in central defenders and Struijk could be the ideal cover for Micky van de Ven who has had his fair share of injury problems. The left-sided defender has shown his quality in the Championship and he has the ability to thrive in the English top flight as well.

The opportunity to move to a top Premier League club could be quite exciting for the defender. Apart from his defensive skills, his distribution quality makes him a good fit for Tottenham’s style of play. He will help them build from the back and he will add defensive quality and composure to the side.

Can Leeds hold on to Pascal Struijk?

Leeds are hoping to tie him down to a new long-term deal, and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the player to commit his long-term future to the club.

The 25-year-old has proven himself in the Championship and he might feel that this is the right time for him to take up a new challenge and join a big club capable of pushing for trophies. It remains to be seen whether Spurs follow up on their interest with an official proposal to sign the player in the coming months.

Leeds are currently pushing for promotion and it seems unlikely that they will sell a key player midway through the season. Spurs might have to wait until the summer transfer window to get the deal done.

Journalist confirms Spurs “have been looking” at Premier League manager as Ange Postecoglou replacement

Tottenham’s challenging season has intensified speculation surrounding Ange Postecoglou’s future, with reports linking Fulham manager Marco Silva as a possible successor.

The North London side’s poor run of form continued midweek with a 1-1 Europa League draw against Rangers, extending their winless streak to five games in all competitions.

This stretch of disappointing results includes three defeats in their last five Premier League matches, leaving Spurs in 12th place and raising serious questions about Postecoglou’s ability to steer the team back on track.

Journalist Miguel Delaney has reported that Tottenham are monitoring Silva’s situation as they consider options for the managerial role. While chairman Daniel Levy remains publicly supportive of Postecoglou, the team’s recent struggles and wavering fan sentiment could push the club to evaluate alternative paths if results don’t improve.

Writing for The Independent, Delaney stated:

“Speculation is now swirling around Ange Postecoglou. Spurs are known to have been looking at Marco Silva… Daniel Levy however, is also aware of wider fan sentiment. There are issues with Postecoglou’s coaching but supporters generally want to try something different and persist.”

Silva’s coaching pedigree makes him a standout contender. The Portuguese manager began his career in his homeland with Estoril, achieving success before moving on to Sporting CP, where he claimed the Portuguese Cup, and Olympiacos, where he secured the Greek Super League title.

In England, Silva has carved out a reputation as a tactically adept coach with spells at Hull City, Watford, Everton, and now Fulham. Appointed in 2021, Silva has transformed Fulham’s fortunes, leading them to a historic Championship title and breaking records along the way.

In December 2023, he guided the team to their first-ever League Cup semi-final, further solidifying his credentials. Despite lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, Silva extended his contract at Fulham until 2026.

Although Levy remains optimistic about Postecoglou’s ability to turn things around, Tottenham’s ongoing struggles leave room for potential changes.

As Spurs prepare for a crucial clash against Southampton this weekend, Silva’s managerial track record and proven ability to drive progress position him as a viable candidate to rejuvenate the team if a change becomes necessary.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the London club and a report from Brazilian publication Trivela claims that Tottenham would be prepared to provide him with an exit route.

Apart from them, Aston Villa and Newcastle United are keen on signing the former Manchester United playmaker as well. The player was linked with Tottenham a few months ago as well.

Pereira can operate as a central midfielder as well as the number ten. He will add creativity, composure, and technical ability to the midfield. Spurs need more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the Brazilian could be a useful acquisition.

He is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at the North London club. He is a proven performer for Fulham and the opportunity to move to Tottenham will be quite exciting for him. It would be a step up in his career and he would get to play in a better team alongside quality players.

Back in 2023, Erik ten Hag described him as a “really good player”.

Tottenham move would be ideal for Andreas Pereira

Tottenham could provide him with the platform to showcase his quality in European football and push for trophies as well. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can negotiate a deal with Fulham for the player. The Cottagers are reportedly looking at Breno Bidon as a potential replacement.

Convincing Pereira to join Tottenham should not be difficult for the North London club, but they will need to agree on a deal with Fulham as well. It remains to be seen whether they are ready to sanction the departure of a key player in the coming months.

It is fair to assume that a move in January could prove to be tricky. Tottenham might have to wait until the summer transfer window to get the deal done. Clubs are often reluctant to lose important players midway through the season and Fulham could look to hold onto him until the summer.
