Elliott ‘top of Tottenham list’ amid £40m Liverpool exit news – Exclusive - tottenhamhotspurnews.com
Description

Tottenham are among a host of clubs who could move for Liverpool star Harvey Elliott.

The 22-year-old is one of the brightest talents in the game and reaffirmed that status by taking home the Player of the Tournament award at the U21 European Championships.

However, he featured for just 360 minutes in the Reds’ Premier League title success and has admitted that his future may not lie at Anfield.

Thomas Frank could take advantage and bring the former Fulham star to North London.

Tottenham to sign Elliott as Liverpool exit looms

A move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would allow Elliott to advance his career while still playing in the Champions League.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara tipped the Anfield star to make the move to N17, admitting that he would love to see the England U-21 star at Spurs.

His Liverpool future is uncertain right now with Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai ahead of him in the pecking order, and the Reds would reportedly accept a £40million offer for his services.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke exclusively told Tottenham News that the Europa League winners should make that move, saying: “I think it would be a pretty marvellous signing if Tottenham got Harvey Elliott, who obviously wants more first-team football.

“There is a player that I think would be a good pick-up for a few clubs up towards the top of the Premier League.

“He has been unlucky not to play more football than he has, and he has got to an age now where you know, I think Elliott might even, if he were in the right position, playing lots of games, be around the fringes of the England squad for the World Cup.

“He could play deeper like in the right side of a three in midfield, his position is, the problem is, it is the Salah position isn’t it, at Liverpool.

“That is where he seems to naturally gravitate, so that is where you would play him as a guy causing a lot of trouble down the right side, sometimes tucked in a bit.

“I think he has got enough versatility to fit around any kind of formation that a manager would like to come out.

“I think Harvey Elliott, £40million, he would be somewhere near the top of my shopping list if I had that sort of money lying around and had a gap for an attacking midfield player.

“That is a lot of money and it would be a record fee for quite a few clubs, it would say it would be a pretty good gamble.”

Elliott would be a success at Tottenham

Slot’s treatment of Elliott has been baffling, he is a top-quality player who can make a difference, but he was not given the opportunity to do so on regular occasions.

Daniel Levy and Co should do everything that they can to bring him in, as it would get them closer to the top echelons, where the Reds are already.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are set to welcome 50 Cent to North London as part of his UK tour.

At this stage in the year, despite there being no football played, all of the focus remains on the happenings at Tottenham.

Recruitment is set to play a crucial role in the success that Thomas Frank can find at Spurs next season, though with Daniel Levy seemingly being as stubborn as ever, they will be looking to raise funds.

Player sales will, of course, contribute to that, as will events held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with 50 Cent due to arrive in North London, with Tottenham News providing all of the latest updates surrounding the concert.

With the concert due to start at 4:30pm GMT, a temperature of 23 degrees is expected, with a 20 per cent chance of rain.

Wind speeds are expected to pick up throughout the day, with gusts of 23mph anticipated, though these will die out throughout the show.

As of now, most of the general tickets for the concert have been sold out, though Ticketmaster have verified resale tickets up for grabs.

Prices start at £89.11, with the most expensive ticket currently available priced at £262.47, with handling fees also to be added on top of that.

Fans wishing to attend can purchase a Gold Circle Standing Ticket for £226.85, which would see them positioned right in front of the stage.

Hospitality packages are also available, though only a limited number remain.

The concert will start at 4:30pm, with 50 Cent’s appearance likely coming a short time after that.

Luka Vušković ‘to join Championship club on loan’ from Tottenham – Exclusive - tottenhamhotspurnews.com
Description

Tottenham’s depth at centre-back will leave Thomas Frank with a few decisions to make this summer.

Spurs already secured Kevin Danso on a permanent deal last month, and look set to bring in Kōta Takai from Kawasaki Frontale.

Tottenham also triggered their option to extend Ben Davies’ contract, leaving the North London club with five recognised senior centre-backs.

The returns of Alfie Dorrington, Ashley Phillips, and the arrival of Luka Vušković could raise that number to eight, with the latter potentially set for a loan move this summer.

Vušković is highly sought across Europe

Despite only turning 18 this year, Vušković made his senior debut for Croatia earlier this month following his impressive loan spell with Belgian side Westerlo last season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The centre-back started every game he was eligible for in the Jupiler Pro League and scored an impressive seven goals, including an acrobatic overhead kick against Club Brugge.

As reported by Football London (25 June), multiple clubs across Europe are hoping to secure a loan deal for the talented defender if Frank decides he would benefit from more experience.

Hamburg are one of the clubs interested in Vušković, but ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the Lilywhites would prefer to acclimatise the youngster to the English game, which could see him join a Championship club on loan instead.

“Tottenham might keep him in England,” King said.

“They could loan him out to a Championship club. I think that would be a good way for Vušković to get a feel of what English football is all about. It is a tough league, the Championship.

“It would be common sense for Frank to take a look in pre-season, but then it will depend on what is happening with the other centre-backs. However, I think a loan move makes more sense. It is far better that he is playing football than sitting on the bench or playing with the Under-21s.

“First-team football in the Championship is far better than playing for the Under-21s, and it will force him to grow up more quickly.”

Frank should risk keeping Vušković in the first-team squad

While the step up to the Premier League would be huge for the teenage sensation, Vušković could benefit from staying in N17 this summer to get a feel for Tottenham.

Arguably, Frank’s best attribute is improving young players, and the Croatian defender’s unique talent could flourish under the Dane’s tutelage.

He would also be walking into a happy dressing room full of winners, and could learn more from being exposed to top professionals like Son Heung-min than from going out on loan, where he may not be as closely monitored and tutored.

Arsenal could now be set to capitalise on a transfer development on the other side of North London as surprise Tottenham news emerges.

There have already been several shocking developments at Tottenham this summer.

Many were surprised to see Ange Postecoglou sacked after the Australian guided the Lilywhites to the UEFA Europa League, while the announcement that Donna-Maria Cullen would be stepping down caught several people off guard.

There have been some transfer twists too, with Johnny Cardoso snubbing a move to Tottenham to join Atletico Madrid instead, as more surprise news now emerges.

Tottenham cool Eberechi Eze interest

Eberechi Eze became hot property when he netted the winner for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final, and the 26-year-old has been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal.

MORE SPURS STORIES

But it seems that Spurs have cooled their interest, with fans on the other side of North London now convinced that Eze is headed to the Emirates.

As reported by Ben Jacobs via talkSPORT (27 June), in a surprise twist, Tottenham have now backed off from signing Eze, who has a £68million release clause in his contract.

This is wonderful news for Arsenal, who Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes have found their Gabriel Martinelli upgrade.

“Eze is a very talented player,” Wenham said.

“Therefore, I’m sure Arsenal probably are interested in signing him, as Manchester City are too. These good players are quite hard to come by.

“When you’ve got someone like Eze, who has as much experience as he has, and is now an FA Cup winner, it doesn’t surprise me that Arsenal want to sign him. He would be a massive upgrade on Martinelli as well. There’s always going to be competition for these players.

“If Tottenham want Eze, they need to move swiftly. They know what the release clause is, so start having those conversations and get this wrapped up.”

Tottenham could now sign Xavi Simons

As well as Eze, Tottenham are also interested in Xavi Simons. As both players operate in similar areas of the pitch, it would have been unlikely for Spurs to spend big money on both this summer.

Therefore, the recent update on Eze could indicate that Tottenham have made their choice. Indeed, at 22 years old, Simons is one of the most talented young players in football.

Therefore, it would not come as a surprise if Spurs were to accelerate their pursuit of the Dutchman.

Liverpool owners FSG set to blow Tottenham out of water for new signing

Tottenham have struggled to bring in new faces so far this summer despite Thomas Frank wanting new signings.

While Spurs have brought in have made three transfers this summer, two were on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last season, while Luka Vuskovic was pre-arranged.

Multiple other stars have been linked to the London club, but no incomings appear close as it stands.

Now, due to Tottenham’s pondering in the transfer market, they could easily lose out on multiple targets this summer.

Liverpool to beat Tottenham to Marc Guehi

Tottenham have been linked to Marc Guehi this summer.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Crystal Palace defender is on the back of another great season as he lifted the FA Cup with the London club.

It has been claimed that Guehi would hold out for a move to Tottenham. However, Liverpool now look set to win the race for the England international.

According to Sunday People, page 62 (29 June), Arne Slot’s team are in prime position to sign Guehi, with talks between all parties to take place in the next 24 hours.

This would see Tottenham and Newcastle miss out on the defender who only has one year left on his contract.

Daniel Levy has failed Spurs so far this transfer window

With July now just days away, Tottenham have still not made any serious additions this summer.

This is massively disappointing given Frank’s appointment and the fact that the London club are in the Champions League.

Daniel Levy’s pondering has no doubt cost Tottenham, with Arsenal now looking to sign target Eberechi Eze.

Pre-season is just weeks away, and as it stands, Spurs are not better off than last season.

How Levy can expect improvements alone from the addition of Frank is baffling.

Thankfully, there is still plenty of time left in the transfer window, but Spurs will need to act fast if they are to be ready for the start of the Premier League season.

Description

Spurs could play hardball and push for a court case with Ineos, Tottenham News understands.

Daniel Levy and the Lilywhites have lodged a High Court claim for £11million against Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company over a recently ended sponsorship agreement.

Court documents have emerged that Spurs are alleging Ineos missed two contracted payments equalling around £5.5million for the 2025-26 season.

Tottenham could agree new settlement

A source close to Tottenham News with expertise in football finance believes that there are two possible scenarios which may follow.

The most likely of those is said to be an out-of-court settlement, likely lower than £11m.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, Spurs could still push hard for a court case, which would leave it in the hands of an independent commission, where they could either win or lose completely.

Thomas Frank needs no distractions

With Thomas Frank preparing to welcome his squad back to Hotspur Way, he will not be getting involved in these matters.

Tottenham are preparing to enter the Champions League once again and have a huge European Super Cup tie against Paris Saint-Germain to look forward to as well.

Everyone knows that Levy is a ruthless businessman and wouldn’t have taken kindly to Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe doing what they did, but that cannot take priority right now.

As deals for Bryan Mbuemo and Eberechi Eze look lost already, Tottenham fans will very quickly start to lose their patience again, which is already low after the sacking of Ange Postecoglou.

After publicly admitting he wants to win the Champions League and Premier League, Levy has to back that up with the necessary spending in the transfer market.

Earning any sort of settlement will be a positive at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but not if it gets in the way of important transfer business.

Frank and Spurs need to move quickly with the big six already spending big; they could fall even further behind before the Premier League kicks off again.

‘Tottenham to blow competition out of water’ after £40m Jacob Ramsey transfer

‘Tottenham to blow competition out of water’ after £40m Jacob Ramsey transfer - tottenhamhotspurnews.com
Description

Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey may soon complete a switch to Tottenham this summer transfer window.

Spurs are interested in the Villa star, and Unai Emery’s team have placed a £40million asking price for him.

The North London outfit could lose Yves Bissouma to Leeds United in the coming weeks, and they seem to be ready to blow their competition out of the water for the English midfielder.

West Ham United sources admit Ramsey to complete Tottenham transfer

Sources close to West Ham United’s owners have admitted Ramsey is likely to sign for Tottenham.

The East London outfit are interested in the Villa star as they seek replacements for Mohammed Kudus, with Spurs also eyeing the English midfielder.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Now, a top spokesman for the Irons’ owners has expressed defeat in the race for the 24-year-old’s signature, potentially giving Thomas Frank a major boost.

Speaking to Hammers News, they said: “I think [Ramsey] is going to Spurs.”

It looks like West Ham can’t compete with Tottenham, and Graham Potter’s team appear to have resigned themselves to losing out on Ramsey’s transfer.

The North London club will be looking to improve their engine room this summer, and the Englishman’s possible arrival will undoubtedly delight fans in N17.

Ramsey not the only transfer Frank needs at Tottenham

It would be massive for Spurs to sign a talented player like Ramsey from the Birmingham outfit, who finished sixth in the Premier League last season.

Tottenham evidently have to strengthen their squad in the ongoing transfer window as they endured an abysmal domestic campaign, losing 22 matches in the English top flight.

Despite Spurs’ struggles, they will be playing Champions League football next season after winning the Europa League.

Daniel Levy must back Frank in the coming weeks and build a team capable of competing on all fronts.

The Tottenham chairman will undoubtedly be under pressure if the former Brentford manager’s tenure in North London is underwhelming.

Apart from additions in the midfield, the Lilywhites arguably have some new defenders and attackers, with uncertainty around the likes of Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min.

While West Ham seem to think Spurs are favourites to sign Ramsey, it remains to be seen how his situation unfolds this summer.

‘Daniel Levy to blame as tension soon to emerge at Tottenham with Thomas Frank’ - tottenhamhotspurnews.com
Description

Daniel Levy is holding Tottenham Hotspur back.

In three days, July will be upon us, and despite having a Champions League campaign to attend to, Tottenham are yet to make any new additions to their squad.

Mathys Tel remains the only signing that Spurs have made, after they opted to trigger the £30million buy option in his contract, much to the surprise of many in North London.

However, the longer this transfer draught goes on, the less likely Tottenham are to progress, and the entire blame will fall at the feet of Levy.

Tottenham are wasting time this summer

First and foremost, the length of time it took to sack Ange Postecoglou was baffling, given the fact that almost everyone knew that it was coming.

That immediately set Spurs on the back foot when it came to the summer transfer window, with the lack of managerial clarity undoubtedly playing a role in the minds of their transfer targets.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Fast forward to now, with Thomas Frank in charge, Tottenham are in dire need of new arrivals, and yet they are sitting with their hands tied behind their back, all because of Levy.

His unwillingness to release required funds and inability to make quick, decisive decisions have already seemingly seen Spurs miss out on the signing of Bryan Mbuemo, with other deals also in doubt.

Frank, after the reputation he has built for himself at Brentford, will not want to see his time at Spurs fail, and yet Levy is almost setting him up to do so, with tension undoubtedly going to emerge at some point if this continues.

Frank needs to be backed by Levy and Spurs

Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League last season, not even reaching the 40-point target usually set by clubs in a bid to avoid relegation.

Taking that failure into account, you would have assumed Spurs would be doing everything they can this summer to right those wrongs, though it appears to be far from the case.

Tottenham need to get their act together and accelerate their efforts to bring players to North London to have any chance of achieving success under Frank.

Lyon are in desperate need of a cash injection as Tottenham eye a move for Georges Mikautadze.

Tottenham have made a slow start to the summer transfer window.

However, the Lilywhites could be close to their first signing as they have reportedly agreed a deal for Japanese defender Kōta Takai and are now looking at Mikautadze.

The Georgian striker scored 17 goals for Lyon last season and could even challenge Dominic Solanke with his impressive output. Now, Mikautadze’s performances seem to have been enough to convince Tottenham to make an offer.

Tottenham are favourites to sign Mikautadze as an offer is prepared

Daniel Levy is prepared to take full advantage of Lyon’s financial struggles, which saw the French outfit relegated to Ligue 2 on Tuesday (24 June).

MORE SPURS STORIES

As reported by Tutto Juve (26 June), Tottenham are currently leading the race to sign Mikautadze. It is understood that the Lilywhites are preparing an offer, with Juventus also keen to sign the 24-year-old.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t believe Spurs will move for Mikautadze anytime soon, and expects Lyon to agree to sell another player to alleviate their financial concerns.

“This is an interesting market opportunity,” Wenham said.

“However, Lyon are far too big a club to be relegated for some outstanding financial issues.

“Therefore, I’m sure they’ll flog someone to Chelsea or whoever for £45million, and their issues will be fixed quite swiftly. However, as I said, this is an interesting market opportunity, and I’m sure lots of big clubs are looking.

“Lyon are a hotbed for talented young players. However, we have made some poor signings from them in recent years, and I’m sure Tottenham won’t want to get stung again.

“Therefore, I imagine we’re looking, but I don’t think it is someone we will move for imminently.”

Tottenham should sign Mikautadze

Richarlison is expected to leave Tottenham this summer, and Mikautadze would be the perfect replacement.

Not only is he efficient in front of goal, but injuries will be less of a concern. Richarlison made just 24 appearances for Spurs last season, netting five times.

Therefore, even if the Brazilian remains at the club, Mikautadze could be an important asset to have.

Tottenham are keen on signing Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace this summer, but a deal now appears unlikely to happen.

Eze is being courted by both Tottenham and Arsenal following his incredible campaign for Palace, as he scored the winner in the FA Cup final.

Tottenham need to sign proven players who can make an immediate impact under Thomas Frank, and Eze would fit the bill as a Premier League star.

However, a £68million release clause would make it an expensive deal, and there has now been a new development over his future.

Tottenham back off in Eze race

Tottenham’s interest in Eze now appears to be at an end, with Arsenal seemingly pulling ahead in the race, as Spurs baulk at the asking price.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Ben Jacobs has now told talkSPORT (27 June) that Spurs have backed off any bid to sign Eze as things stand.

“My understanding is that Tottenham have actually backed off in the last few hours, and although the interest is genuine, it is nothing more than that,” he stated.

Justin Kluivert could be available for £25.6m

With Spurs keen on adding a versatile attacking midfielder, Bournemouth star Justin Kluivert could be the perfect alternative to Eze.

Kluivert enjoyed an outstanding season with the Cherries, with 18 goal contributions in 34 Premier League games, and at 26, is now thriving as he comes into his prime years.

As it stands, Tottenham are yet to register their interest in Kluivert, but Bayer Leverkusen have now identified him as a target.

Jacobs has now reported that Leverkusen believe the versatile attacker could be available for less than £25.6m (€30m), and if this turns out to be the case, Spurs simply have to make a move.

Kluivert could be ideal for Tottenham

If there is a deal to be done, Kluivert could be the ideal Eze alternative Tottenham need this summer, and he would solve several issues.

He would arrive with Premier League and European experience under his belt, and is becoming a reliable goalscorer and creator in England.

Like Eze, Kluivert thrives in attacking midfield, but has also played on both wings throughout his career, in which he has featured for Roma, Ajax, Nice, Valencia and others before joining Bournemouth.

Spurs could seek to replace Son-Heung Min, and recruiting a player who can provide goals from the wing would be necessary, while more creativity in the middle of the park would also be useful.

Kluivert could provide both as a relatively inexpensive option, but it remains to be seen whether Bournemouth would sanction a sale to another English club.
