Director admits £25m player now ‘wants to leave’ as Tottenham prepare bid

A late transfer opportunity has opened up for Tottenham ahead of the February 3rd transfer deadline.

TBR Football understand there is a chance Spurs could sign Tyler Dibling on loan from Southampton – with an obligation to buy the England U21 international this summer.

However, even a move for the talented Southampton No.33 would not provide Ange Postecoglou with a natural No.9 to cover for Dominic Solanke – who is facing six weeks out with a knee injury.

Now – however – Bayern Munich No.39 Mathys Tel has suddenly become available.

TBR Football have been told Tel has fallen out with Vincent Kompany over a lack of playing time – making just three starts in all competitions this season – and Tottenham are interested.

Max Eberl – Director of Football at the Allianz Arena – has now provided an update.

Bayern Munich confirm Mathys Tel wants to leave as Tottenham take notice

Speaking after Bayern Munich recorded a 3-1 win over Slovan Bratislava in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, the German said: “Mathys Tel wants to leave… so we will assess all the options and decide what to do. I can understand him.”

The France U21 international was actually handed a start for this game – which could be viewed as a late attempt from Kompany to make amends.

It comes after Fabrizio Romano claimed that Tottenham are prepared to “go bid” in order to sign Tel – with Postecoglou desperate for attacking reinforcements as Spurs sit 15th in the Premier League.

If the north Londoners are to sign the 19-year-old, however, they face fierce competition.

Tottenham certainly do not have a free run at signing the teenager – who Bayern Munich signed from Rennes for £25m when he was just 17.

TBR Football understand Manchester United and Arsenal have been invited to sign Tel by intermediaries – although Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan and Napoli have also been contacted.

Wayne Rooney says whether Tottenham should sack Ange Postecoglou after comparing him to Louis van Gaal

Ange Postecoglou’s position as manager of Tottenham Hotspur is understandably under threat, a club who have taken just one point from a possible 21 in the Premier League.

Tottenham have won just one of their last 10 Premier League games and are 15th in the league – whichever way you spin the numbers, it’s not good reading for Postecoglou.

Of course, the context to this stunningly poor form has been an unprecedented injury crisis in N17.

Spurs have almost been without their entire back line over the last few months, perhaps explaining why Micky van de Ven was rushed back too quickly just before Christmas.

It’s an incredibly difficult situation all round, and many are either now concluding that Postecoglou or Daniel Levy needs to go, the blame needs to be attributed somewhere.

Wayne Rooney wants Ange Postecoglou to stay but still calls for Tottenham change

That being said, when speaking on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, Wayne Rooney shared his thoughts on Postecoglou’s position.

Rooney was let go by Plymouth Argyle himself in the Championship recently, and appeared to have sympathy for Postecoglou.

The former Manchester United striker seems impressed by Postecoglou’s approach off-the-field at least, even if he did eventually call for some kind of change at the club.

Rooney said: “I hope he survives. I like him. I just like his demeanour. I hope he survives as well.

“There’s some [managers] who you look at and they annoy you.

“I just think with Ange, how honest he is, and sometimes, we had it with Van Gaal. Van Gaal used to do it.

“Sometimes you can be too honest. I think sometimes that comes back to kill you. But with Ange, I think the injuries divide them.”

Rooney then added: “I think something has to change. I don’t mean Ange, but something at that football club, in my opinion, has to change.”

Daniel Levy needs to back Ange Postecoglou before transfer deadline

In the same podcast, Ian Wright launched a stunning attack on Levy – he certainly didn’t hold back.

And it does seem pretty obvious that the status quo at Spurs isn’t working right now, a conclusion that isn’t just drawn from the club’s current league position.

Fortunately for Spurs fans hoping for improvement, the club are thought to be upping their efforts in the transfer window now at least.

Tottenham are trying to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, a race that could pit them against the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.

A crucial few days for the club before Monday’s deadline, and Postecoglou does deserve to be backed with players who can help in the here and now.

Tottenham decide the player they ‘want to go big’ to sign before deadline day according to Fabrizio Romano

With only a few days left until the January transfer window, Tottenham Hotspur must act quickly to freshen up their squad to save their disaster of a season.

Placed 15th in the Premier League and considering the injury crisis they have suffered this campaign, Tottenham are arguably in more desperate need of new signings than any other team in the ‘Big Six.’

Ange Postecoglou admitted no January signings were “imminent” recently, which would have worried Spurs supporters across the globe.

But whispers about the Lilywhites’ interest in Mathys Tel is starting to become louder.

Sources told TBR Football that Tottenham were offered Tel, as were both Arsenal and Manchester United.

Tottenham target Tel hinted at leaving Bayern Munich by waving in the direction of the Allianz Arena faithful after their 3-1 win against Slovan Bratislava in the Champions League on Wednesday — a gesture which will not do much to quieten the noise surrounding the 19-year-old’s immediate future.

Tottenham “want to go big” to sign Mathys Tel

However, Arsenal are readying a bid to sign Tel.

Meanwhile, Tel reportedly eyes a move to Manchester United.

But Fabrizio Romano claimed on his official YouTube channel that Tottenham are prepared to go big to sign Mathys Tel this month, who is looking for guaranteed playing time wherever he goes.

“He wants guaranteed game time, he doesn’t want to be a bench player or a back up, so these are the crucial factors.”

“Tottenham would be prepared to do something important for Mathys Tel, so Tottenham want to try and want to go big.”

Harry Kane lauded Tel’s attitude and for Spurs, there is no better seal of approval than from their all-time top goalscorer.

Tel hinted he could leave Bayern by admitting he is unsure about his future — which should prompt Ange Postecoglou’s side to make a move for him.

The advantage Tottenham have in Mathys Tel race over Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea

Where Tottenham could win the race for Tel over their domestic rivals is that they have formed a good relationship with Bayern due to the sales of Harry Kane and Eric Dier in the past 18 months.

As a result, Spurs could leverage this strong relationship to their advantage and seal the deal to bring the £25 million (Daily Mail) man over to N17.

However, Arsenal have been interested in Tel for years, going back to his time at Rennes.

With Tel also reportedly being keen on heading to Manchester United, it will be interesting to see whether Tottenham will eventually snap him up.

Ian Wright launches stunning attack on Daniel Levy as he calls for change at Tottenham

With just a few days of the transfer window remaining, Tottenham Hotspur are yet to recruit an outfield player in addition to Antonin Kinsky who has arrived in net.

Despite the club’s worrying results of late, Tottenham are sticking by Ange Postecoglou, and Daniel Levy is planning to back his manager rather than replace him according to reports.

Tottenham are expected to make at least one more addition before Monday’s deadline, but many in N17 still feel as if that’s not enough.

Tottenham staff are frustrated about the lack of signings at the club via reports, and it’s not a harmonious situation in north London right now.

That being said, Spurs fans displayed a banner criticising Levy during their recent defeat to Leicester City in the league, and frustration towards the Tottenham chairman seems to be mounting.

Ian Wright explains why Tottenham need to get rid of Daniel Levy

Speaking on the ‘Stick to Football’ podcast, Ian Wright has now delivered some very strong words on Spurs’ situation under Levy and their lack of on-the-field success of late.

Wright initially appeared to praise Levy for how he handles the business side of things, but eventually concluded that it was time to ‘get him out’ for the sake of the club’s footballing ambitions.

Wright said: “But you look at Levy, when you look at Tottenham as a business, unbelievable, unbelievably run, and that’s what he does.

“If he had the same energy for trying to win something for Tottenham, they’d be winning something.

“Remember, they’ve had arguably one of the greatest goal scorers in English history, alongside Wayne [Rooney], of course, in respects of, that’s come through their academy.

“He didn’t build anything around that. He was scoring goal. How many golden boots did Harry [Kane] get in the end?

“Was it three or four? You’ve got somebody who’s capable of doing that. You didn’t build a team around him.

“They should have been winning things, because of the owner – they haven’t won anything with him, have they? With Levy at the helm.

“Tottenham used to win trophies, used to win FA cups, they used to win stuff. It’s him.

“He’s the one, they’ve got to get him out and get an owner in who wants to win something with these fans. The stadium’s always full.

Roy Keane replied: “That’s not how they run the club, though, right?”

Wright: “Yeah, but that’s why they need to change that, Roy, because the only thing that’s missing from that place is trophies.”

Daniel Levy still has time to get Spurs fans back onside

Of course, were Tottenham to attack the transfer market in the final few days of the window, Levy might be slightly forgiven to some degree.

Levy’s decision to stick by Postecoglou in the face of the club’s injury crisis seems like a smart one from the outside looking in, but it’s clear that something needs to change.

And the club’s transfer policy would be a good start.

Tottenham are interested in Mathys Tel and a club of their size and financial power should be able to execute a move – they should be sending an immediate bid to get one step ahead of their rivals.

And if Tel doesn’t work out, there’s also plenty of other targets for Tottenham to explore, a window that Levy and Johan Lange are currently failing to make the most of.

Tottenham and Arsenal target Mathys Tel appears to hint he’s leaving after Champions League match for Bayern Munich

Description

In the space of around 24 hours, Mathys Tel is suddenly a name that both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur fans can’t stop discussing around north London.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both in the market to sign a new striker before next week’s transfer deadline and it’s emerged that Tel could be leaving Bayern Munich.

Tel was offered to Premier League sides given his lack of minutes under Vincent Kompany, which made it a surprise that he started Bayern’s Champions League tie with Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday evening.

Tel started to the left of Harry Kane and played 62 minutes before being replaced by Kingsley Coman.

Given the striker’s strong interest from England, it would currently appear those minutes could be Tel’s last in Bavaria, a conclusion that was supported by the Frenchman’s actions at full-time.

Mathys Tel waves goodbye to Bayern Munich fans after Champions League match

At full-time, once Bayern had beaten their opposition 3-1, Tel didn’t head down the tunnel with the rest of his teammates.

Instead, the 19-year-old went to Bayern’s south stand and appeared to say goodbye to the home fans.

Tel could be seen throwing his shirt into the crowd and talking to supporters, who applauded the striker.

The moment was captured by journalist Kerry Hau who shared footage of Tel’s apparent goodbye on X.

After handing out his shirt to fans, the striker continued to almost do a lap honour, meaning it would now be a surprise if he remained a Bayern player beyond Monday’s deadline.

Arsenal are preparing a bid for Tel according to reports, and it would seem that the Frenchman’s head has been well and truly turned.

And considering Tel might only cost £40m this month, a deal could still be tempting for several English sides.

Mathys Tel is desperate for more minutes at his next club

Of course, Tottenham are also competing for Tel, a striker who could seriously help Ange Postecoglou in N17 right now.

Dominic Solanke will still be missing for a month or so and Postecoglou had to turn to the likes of Will Lankshear during Spurs’ recent defeat to Leicester City.

Across the other side of north London, Arsenal fans would surely be furious if Tel suddenly rocked up for Tottenham next week, given their own need for a striker.

Tel didn’t want to move to Chelsea because he couldn’t envision regular game time at Stamford Bridge.

And therefore the striker’s next career move may be decided by which club can promise a better pathway and minutes over the next few years, should he come to the Premier League.

Daniel Levy has made it his ‘personal mission’ to sign England star who plays like Andres Iniesta for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be very busy in the final days of the transfer window.

Spurs haven’t been able to sign anybody apart from Antonin Kinsky this month. That has been really frustrating because several key senior players are currently out injured.

To make things worse, Tottenham are 15th in the Premier League table right now, and they could get dragged closer to the bottom three if results don’t improve.

Ange Postecoglou has claimed that the club are working really hard to bring someone in, and Daniel Levy seems to have personally taken some initiative.

What Daniel Levy is now prepared to do to sign Angel Gomes

Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move to sign Angel Gomes for a few months now.

The talented England midfielder has entered the final six months of his contract at Lille, and he is widely expected to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer.

Levy loves a bargain, and signing a player of Gomes’ quality on a free is a very tempting opportunity for the Tottenham chairman.

However, GiveMeSport have now claimed that Levy could accelerate his plans.

The report reveals that the Spurs chairman has made it his ‘personal mission’ to sign Gomes for Tottenham and is even prepared to pay a fee to get him before Monday’s deadline.

It has further been claimed that Tottenham have been in regular contact with the midfielder’s camp over a move and even held talks with them in France earlier this month.

However, despite Spurs’ desire to land him, the report claims that Gomes remains undecided over which club he wants to join next.

Tottenham’s backup option if Gomes move fails

Gomes is clearly Tottenham’s priority target for their midfield.

The 24-year-old, who has been likened to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta by Breaking The Lines, has all the qualities to succeed in the Premier League, and we think he would be a great option for Spurs.

However, Gomes isn’t the only player Tottenham have worked on – the report claims that Lens’ Andy Diouf is someone Spurs are considering.

TBR Football exclusively revealed earlier in January that Tottenham enquired about signing Diouf, who is also a target for Crystal Palace.

Lens, however, are keen to keep hold of him until the end of this season.

Tottenham have opened talks to sign Premier League striker with more goals than Ollie Watkins

The fact that Tottenham Hotspur’s top goalscorer in the Premier League is a midfielder in James Maddison (eight goals) suggests that they are in need of strengthening their striking department.

An injury has sidelined Dominic Solanke for weeks, which has emerged as a huge blow for Ange Postecoglou and Spurs.

Tottenham intend to sign a new forward to replenish their attacking department.

A player Tottenham have been linked with now is Yoane Wissa.

As Brentford sit in 11th place in the Premier League, a key reason behind that being the case is Wissa — who has 11 goals so far — outscoring the likes of Ollie Watkins (10), Matheus Cunha (10) and Nicolas Jackson (nine) this campaign.

Tottenham open talks to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa

Alongside Bryan Mbeumo, Wissa has formed one of the most dangerous partnerships in the league, which Tottenham fans will witness as they face Thomas Frank’s side on Sunday.

Mbeumo has 14 league goals this season as the pair seem to share a telepathic connection with each other.

Journalist Santi Aouna has revealed that Tottenham have opened talks to sign Wissa — whose contract at Brentford expires in 2026 with the option of a one-year extension.

It has also been claimed that Ange Postecoglou’s side consider the 28-year-old as a “concrete option.”

Postecoglou is keen to sign a versatile forward during the winter transfer window and Wissa fits the bill, as he can play as a traditional number nine, behind the striker and even on the left-wing. Ange Postecoglou revealed Tottenham’s interest in Randal Kolo Muani, who seemed set for a loan move to N17 before heading to Juventus.

Heung-min Son admitted Tottenham struggle scoring goals in games where they are trailing — losing their last four games despite the gung-ho nature of their attacking approach.

Tottenham interested in Bryan Mbeumo

Tottenham are keen on snapping up Bryan Mbeumo as well.

Arsenal and Liverpool are also eyeing the in-form forward.

However, now that the Lilywhites have ramped up their efforts to sign Wissa, it seems unlikely that they will be able to sign Mbeumo as well.

Owen Hargreaves shares what Jermain Defoe privately told him about Mikey Moore at Tottenham

It’s not easy to be positive about Tottenham Hotspur right now.

Spurs are 15th in the Premier League after losing six of their last seven league games.

Ange Postecoglou is under pressure at the moment, and there’s a huge swathe of discontent amongst the fanbase.

However, dare we say it, it’s not all doom and gloom for Spurs right now.

Indeed, while Tottenham’s current situation is dire, there’s reason to be excited about the future at Spurs.

Archie Gray looks an exciting prospect at the age of just 18, while Lucas Bergvall has received praise too as a teenager.

Mikey Moore is also starting to make an impact for Tottenham, and speaking on The Weekend Wrap, Owen Hargreaves has shared some insight into the youngster’s potential.

What Jermain Defoe has said about Mikey Moore

Hargreaves shared what he’s been told by Jermain Defoe about Mikey Moore at Tottenham.

Moore is just 17 years old, but even two years ago Defoe was telling Hargreaves that this young man is a special talent.

“Look at Mikey Moore, he’s coming on. Jermain Defoe told me about him two years ago, he said ‘Owen, this kid is special.’ So it’s great to get him on and get some reps. Sometimes these young kids have no fear and play with courage when other players feel the pressure. He’s a terrific player, he’s going to be a star,” Hargreaves said.

Tottenham’s young prospects

Moore has been tipped for big things at Tottenham, and he’s not the only bright prospect at Spurs.

Indeed, Tottenham have a number of teenage talents who look set to become stars.

Gray and Bergvall are already making first-team impacts at Tottenham, and there’s more where that came from within Spurs’ ranks.

Alfie Dorrington is rated internally by Spurs, Luka Vuskovic looks like a future star already, while Will Lankshear’s goalscoring record at youth level speaks for itself.

Moore is the jewel in the crown in terms of young players at Spurs right now, and as Hargreaves says, if all goes to plan, this young man is going to be a star.

It’s easy for Tottenham fans to feel defeated by the state of the club right now, but if these young players can all blossom and reach their potential, Spurs should be able to get back to where they belong.

The big step forward Tottenham have now taken in Mathys Tel pursuit amid intense Premier League interest

Tottenham Hotspur are in pursuit of attacking reinforcements this month in a bid to turn their season around.

In recent days, Tottenham have been made aware of Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel, who is now available on the market.

TBR Football recently confirmed that Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United have been contacted by intermediaries after Tel decided he wants to move.

TBR Football also understands that Tel has fallen out with Vincent Kompany and now wants to leave Bayern.

Now, Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg has claimed that Spurs have taken a decisive step in pursuit of the 19-year-old.

Tottenham now in direct talks with Mathys Tel camp

Plettenberg has taken to X to report that Tottenham have “definitely very interested” in Tel and are now in “direct talks” with the player’s camp.

As things stand, it’s an open race and no decision has been made yet in wake of Tel deciding he wants to leave the Allianz Arena this month.

Which of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals are also keen on Tel

Arsenal are preparing a bid for Tel, having sat up and taken notice of his availability.

However, Paul O’Keefe has reported that Tel fancies joining Manchester United.

As for Chelsea, they were in for him when Bayern asked about Christopher Nkunku, but Tel said he was not convinced about moving to Chelsea.

Now that the subject has come around again, TBR Football understands that Tel simply isn’t keen on a move to Chelsea.

The Daily Mail believe Bayern want at least £40million for Tel – who they spent £25million to sign from Rennes when he was just 17.

Whichever club signs Tel would be getting themselves an incredible talent.

In 2022, The Guardian named him in their Next Generation list of their 60 best youngsters in world football.

Meanwhile, Football Talent Scout‘s Jacek Kulig has given Tel a 10 out of 10 for potential, deeming him a “world-class” prospect and comparing him to Thierry Henry.

Also, he deemed Tel a “complete forward” and a “well rounded player who has all the qualities to play on many other positions and attacking roles”.

Kulig also described Tel as a “powerful and determined forward with killer-instinct, superb technique on the ball, good dribbling skills and cleverness at his off-the-ball movements”.

Todd Boehly and eight more once linked with Tottenham takeover as Daniel Levy and ENIC protests intensify

Submitted by daniel on

Description

Daniel Levy has delivered during his chairmanship of Tottenham – but for the ownership group of which he is a part, not the fans. At least, not recently.

As a global brand and a business, the club is in an infinitely better place than when ENIC took over in 2000 and named Levy, a former investment banker and Tottenham season ticket holder, as chairman.

But Spurs the football club have won just one trophy in the 21st century and are regressing rapidly.

They boxed above their weight class financially in the 2010s and were a sustained presence in the top third of the Premier League. They reached a Champions League final too, of course.

But revenue has almost doubled since their last season at White Hart Lane. Even in 2023-24, a season in which they had European money whatsoever, only eight clubs world football earned more.

Now, relative to their soaring wealth, they are a heavyweight throwing featherweight punches.

And no, it isn’t because they haven’t spent. Lack of investment on the pitch isn’t the underlying issue.

Their squad cost (wages plus transfer amortisation) has risen broadly in line with turnover since the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, although the gap between the two metrics has widened.

Granted, they have the lowest wages-to-turnover ratio in the Premier League and the most modest total squad cost of any of the so-called Big Six clubs.

But there is a valid argument to suggest that is because the rest of the league – especially outside the Big Six – is a basket case financially.

All but a few uber-smart clubs like Brighton and Brentford are stuck in expensive and unsustainable boom-and-bust cycles. Losses across the division last year totalled close to £1bn.

‘Too Dare is Too Dear’ is the admittedly clever twist on the club’s motto that the fans have adopted as a slogan against the ENIC-Levy regime, but it misses the point.

There is spending and then there is spending well, and Tottenham don’t spend the takings from their world-beating commercial operation well at all.

As chairman, he should be macro rather than micromanaging – making the right hires at the front and back of house and letting them get on with it.

Levy is also more famous and influential than any other club executive in football, perhaps with the exception of Real Madrid’s Florentino Perez or Paris Saint-Germain’s Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

A cultural reset is needed in N17 and new blood in the C-suite is the way to get there.

With Levy actively courting minority investment, TBR Football takes a look at the names linked with the North London club past and present.

Everyone linked with Spurs takeover or minority investment

Various groups have reportedly been interested in Tottenham as a business prospect over the years. Some more credibly than others.

TBR can vouch for the validity of some of these stories, while others are more tenuous.

Formula One owners Liberty Media have an existing relationship with Spurs through the 15-year F1 Drive partnerships that has seen a karting track installed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Levy is a known F1 fan and Liberty Media – who also happen to be the most valuable sports holdings company in the world – have been touted as a potential investor in North London.

Incidentally, Liberty have just appointed a new CEO in Derek Chang, who has succeeded legendary sports investors Greg Maffei.

After Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al-Thani failed in a bid to take over Man United in 2023, several reports suggested that the Qatari banker could turn his attention to Tottenham.

However, the mysterious Sheikh Jassim appears to have briefed the British press that he is waiting until further United equity is for sale and ahs no interest in any rival club at present.

Before their aborted bid to buy Everton, the private equity firm MSP Sports Capital held a concrete interest in Tottenham.

As TBR Football have exclusively reported previously, MSP went as far as to conduct due diligence with a view to a full takeover, not a minority investment.

How far negotiations progressed is not known, nor is whether Spurs are still in contact with MSP.

Crystal Palace co-owner David Blitzer is the most recent new named linked with Tottenham.

This would be extraordinarily complicated to pull off, however, as the Premier League’s conflict of interest rules would require him to first divest his stake in Palace.

Previously, his fellow Palace shareholder John Textor offered to buy Blitzer out, which could theoretically have opened up a pathway for him to invest in Spurs.

But Textor has since entered a period of exclusive talks with a different consortium, so it Blitzer moving from South to North London looks unlikely.

A tenuous one, but the rapper and billionaire businessman Jay-Z has been connected with Tottenham, having previously expressed an interest in Arsenal.

While Jay Z is extremely independently wealthy, his investment would likely come as part of a consortium.

Given that he co-owns one of the world’s most successful sports and media agencies in Roc Nation who manage the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Vinicius Junior, it isn’t as far fetched as it might first sound.

Late last year, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was linked with investing in Tottenham, although those reports ultimately proved wide of the mark.

It would have made sense, however, given Spurs’ increasingly close relationship with the NFL.

Chelsea owner Todd Boehly held talks to invest in Tottenham before he eventually took over Chelsea in partnership with, among others, Spurs fan Jonathan Goldstein.

The private equity titan’s current civil war with co-investor Behdad Eghbali at Stamford Bridge may well end with one faction buying the other out.

But Clearlake Capital’s Eghbali holds the high card as the Blues’ majority shareholder, which has led to suggestions that the 51-year-old could pivot back to Spurs.

Levy is a known ally of PSG and Qatar Sports Investment (QSI) president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

He met with the supremo earlier this month as part of Spurs’ efforts to sign Randal Kolo Muani from PSG, which ultimately proved unsuccessful.

With the two men pictured meeting for unspecified reasons in the past, it has led to speculation that QSI could invest in Tottenham either on a majority or minority basis, although the club refute this.

Soon after her begrudging exit from Newcastle United last summer, Amanda Staveley was linked with minority investment in Tottenham.

Her PCP Capital Partners group are said to have raised £500m for a new football project, with AS Monaco also on Staveley’s radar.

What is the latest with Amanda Staveley’s plans to invest in Tottenham?

Staveley’s most recent public appearance came an event run by Bloomberg in early December.

There, she confirmed that PCP Capital Partners were in talks for a new football investment, although she stopped short of namechecking Spurs directly.

However, the 51-year-old financier may well be bound by an NDA, as is commonplace in the mergers and acquisitions sector.
