Hello and welcome to this evening's live blog as Bristol Rovers host Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s in their first group stage match of the EFL Trophy.
It's been a solid start to the new campaign for the Gas who have four points from their opening two league matches against Northampton Town and Rotherham United while they put in a spirited performance in defeat to Championship side Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup.
Tonight they begin their campaign in a third competition with the usual controversy surrounding the EFL Trophy still in tact, particularly given that Rovers kick things off against an academy side.
Spurs Under-21s won Premier League 2 last season but, as is always the case going into these games, it's very tough to pinpoint exactly what to expected against a team full of talented youngsters who have very little experience of playing men's football.
The duo also have League One Exeter City and League Two Swindon Town in their group with Matt Taylor declaring that, although he'll make changes for this game, the Rovers manager is keen to see his side progress to the knockout stages.
We'll have live updates throughout the evening with kick-off scheduled for 7pm.
