Tottenham are now ready to make an offer to sign a new winger in the summer transfer window.
Signing a new winger looks set to be the next priority for Tottenham after what has already been an incredibly busy window.
Spurs have made six new additions so far since the market opened, strengthening between the sticks, in defence, and in midfield.
Their next priority could be to bring in reinforcements in the forward line, with a winger clearly one of their top priorities.
Tottenham undoubtedly needed new additions all over the pitch this summer after finishing 17th in the Premier League two seasons in a row.
The board are clearly willing to give De Zerbi a big transfer budget in order to help them head back in the right direction next season.
Tottenham plot winger bid
According to reports in Portugal, Tottenham are now ready to make a £35 million offer to sign Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup in the summer transfer window.
Benfica are hoping to tie him down to a new contract, but the Norwegian international wants to leave the club given the interest in him this summer.
Schjelderup, described as special, does have a release clause in its contract worth in the region of £87 million, but you'd imagine Spurs would be looking to pay no way near that figure.
Whether Benfica would be willing to accept an offer in the region of £35 million remains to be seen, but they certainly don't appear to want to lose him.
Tottenham also eye Savinho
Schjelderup isn't the only winger that Tottenham are showing an interest in during the summer transfer window, as they continue their big summer spending.
Tottenham are also keen on signing Man City star Savinho and have even reportedly agreed personal terms ahead of securing his signature.
Savinho certainly feels like the more ready-made signing for Tottenham, as someone who is likely to come straight into the starting 11.
Schjelderup is likely more of a project signing, considering his age, and a player for the future rather than the immediate present.
Either way, a winger does appear to be a major priority for Tottenham in the coming days and weeks.
