Danny Rohl is eager for Rangers to re-sign Mikey Moore from Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the 2026-27 campaign.

Moore played the final game of his current loan spell with the Gers on Saturday as his side saw off Falkirk 5-2.

The young forward was given a brilliant reception as he made his way off the field late on, with supporters urging him to stay on for another year.

As things stand, Moore is due to return to parent club Tottenham, but the English club’s plans are not clear.

However, Rohl has certainly made his and Rangers’ stance clear when it comes to signing Moore for another season.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨

The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.

Danny Rohl wants Mikey Moore back at Rangers

Saturday’s clash at Falkirk Stadium was a full circle moment of sorts for Moore, whose low point at Rangers came at this stadium earlier in the campaign.

The 18-year-old made a slow start to his Rangers loan, but he soon put that behind him and ended the campaign with seven goals and three assists in 33 outings.

As can be seen in the table above, Moore outperformed in terms of his expected goals and assists in the league this season.

Moore grew in confidence and became a key player under Rohl. It comes as little surprise, then, that Rohl wants Moore to stay.

Asked about Moore’s future at his post-match press conference, Rohl told reporters: “We are very clear as a club with what we want with Mikey but there are three parties. We are just one of them.

“Mikey fits really well here and I totally believe we can get him to the next level as well. Also, his relationship with Tuur [Rommens] next season could give us a strong left-side.

“But we have to do a lot of things right now. We have to be patient with Mikey but also on the front foot. We’re clear and we will try everything.

“Maybe if there’s a chance and it makes sense to wait for him, we will wait. But if you ask me, I want to have him straight from pre-season when I prepare my team for a good start to the season.

“That’s important because we can’t allow ourselves to come so far from behind. We have to start really well and strong. We have to work hard to get a great start.”

As Rohl rightly says, this is a decision that will most likely come down to Tottenham. Moore would surely love to stay for another year, but Spurs may have different plans.

Rangers fans make Moore stance clear

The Rangers fans inside Falkirk Stadium sung Moore’s name loudly and chanted “one more year” as they made their stance clear.

Moore will feel that love and that will go a long way. It may be that the player himself can push Tottenham to loan him out again.

It is clear Moore has a bright future ahead of him at Tottenham, but he is still just 18 and has been progressing at a good rate in Glasgow.

Long may that continue, with Rangers needing to retain their key players and add a lot more quality around them in what should be a busy summer transfer window.
