‘That’s a fantastic deal for Tottenham’ – Daniel Levy agreement hailed as estimation emerges
Tottenham are busy chasing midfielders before the transfer window closes on 1 September.
With Spurs missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, they face a race against time to land Morgan Rogers.
Tottenham said goodbye to Son Heung-min earlier in the window after he completed a move to LAFC.
While they collected a healthy fee for the Son, it seems that the North Londoners are not desperate for funds.

Son Heung-min fee represents solid business for Tottenham
Tottenham shirts followed Son to the MLS as a wealth were on display for the forward’s appearance in the United States.
The 33-year-old departed for an estimated £15-20million, ending a decade in North London.
Now, football finance expert Dan Plumley – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has weighed in on the fee.
“Yes, I think that’s a brilliant number for Spurs to get given where he’s at, given the amount they’ve had out of him in the years that have gone by and how much of a figurehead he’s been in that team.
“I think if you’re looking at the transfer fee alone, if it’s in that kind of region, I think that’s a fantastic deal for Spurs in terms of where it’s at, and again, not that they needed it per se.
“They’re not desperate for that money, but it does free you up to then look at what you can do with it and help towards some of those other signings that they’ve made as well.
“All the way around that, if it is in that ballpark at least, then that’s a good deal for Spurs.”
Spurs and Daniel Levy make correct decision on Son Heung-min
Given that the South Korean international had less than a year remaining on his contract, £15-20m represents good business.
At 33, the forward has his best years behind him, and he showed signs of decline during the 2024/25 season.
Of course, Son was more than that, and they have a leader and a club legend in the process.
However, with Frank at the helm, the North London club have entered a new era and need fresh faces.
Brennan Johnson did an admirable job against Burnley, but Frank could do with more quality to replace Son.
