Richarlison faces an uncertain future at Tottenham Hotspur having been heavily linked with a move away from the club in the summer
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned down an offer for Richarlison from United Arab Emirates club Shabab Al Ahli, with the Brazilian’s future in north London increasingly uncertain. Richarlison looked destined to leave Spurs during the summer transfer window, with Roberto De Zerbi stating that the striker had expressed a desire to depart.
Richarlison was not named in Tottenham’s 25-man squad submitted to the Premier League, meaning the 29-year-old is unable to feature in the top flight until after the January transfer window, provided he is included after that point.
The striker was heavily linked with a move away from Tottenham during the summer window, with former club Everton mentioned as a potential destination.
There was also reported to have been interest from the Saudi Pro League and Brazil, but no deal was able to be agreed, leaving Richarlison's future in limbo.
A fresh report from ESPN has claimed that United Arab Emirates club Shabab Al Ahli made an offer to Tottenham in an effort to try and sign Richarlison.
However, the report went on to claim that Spurs rejected the offer from the UAE-based club, managed by Richarlison's compatriot Andre Jardine, but would not say what fee was presented to Tottenham for the Brazilian. The transfer window in the UAE remains open until September 28.
It has also been reported that Tottenham are planning to keep Richarlison at the club until the end of the year, before exploring potential exit options in the January transfer window.
De Zerbi recently offered an update on Richarlison’s future at Tottenham, which came before the striker was not involved in the defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
"Yes [it would have been better for Spurs and the Brazilian to part ways], but I stay in the middle," The Tottenham boss said. "I can't say nothing more because it's not my job.

"I can answer about the results, the players in the squad, [and] the defensive phase, but not other things. What I've done at the beginning of this season has been to speak with him and propose an extension of the contract.
"If he says no, then thank you, I'm finished with my job."
De Zerbi added: "I said last press conference, I know what happened in the last 45 days. It's not right if I explained. It's not my behaviour. The relationship and the problem is with the player and the club. And I stay inside of the club.
"It's coach and club together because at the start of this season, I spoke with him many times to convince him to stay, and he didn't want to. I can't go every day to pray for him to stay."
