Tottenham Hotspur have just suffered a setback in their pursuit of Hugo Larsson after finding out how much they would have to fork out to sign the Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder this summer.

The youngster has emerged as one of the best number sixes in the Bundesliga over the last two years and Spurs saw firsthand just how talented he is during their Europa League quarterfinal clash with Eintracht.

Over the last couple of months, it has been reported by a few outlets that Spurs have expressed interest in a transfer deal for Larsson.

Tottenham are expected to face transfer competition for Larsson from other Premier League clubs, and the Lilywhites have now found out just how much the 20-year-old will cost to sign.

Eintracht are thus determined to hold out for a hefty fee, with the club telling suitors that they will have to pay £50m to sign the midfielder.
