Tottenham fans are waiting to see the club's next move in the transfer market after already splashing the cash this summer.
The north London club have made a real statement ahead of the new season following a £237million transfer splurge on Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali.
Martin Dubravka, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi have also joined on free transfers to bolster Roberto De Zerbi's squad after maintaining their Premier League status on the final day of last campaign.
Spurs are not done in the transfer market just yet, though, with the Italian boss in need of attacking reinforcements following a real lack of goals across the 2025/26 season.
Bournemouth attacker Eli Junior Kroupi, who could cost in excess of £85million, has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer after a sensational debut season on the south coast.
Should Spurs continue with plans to sign Kroupi?
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT in an exclusive interview, former Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel delivered his verdict on Kroupi and highlighted the pressure to qualify for the top four if their summer of spending continues.
"He would be another exciting signing, to be honest," said the American on the possibility of Kroupi joining.
"I mean if they do that, you're nearing like £300million in the transfer window. I guess I'd answer a different way, if you all of a sudden spent £300million in one transfer window on players, plus the free transfers that they had, and you add all their wages up and all the money spent, then there's going to be a little bit of pressure to be in the top four, not the top six.
"And if you're signing them, then you're looking at expecting a large goal and assist return as well, so it would be exciting. There'd be big talking points, but they would go from the expectation of a top six to a top four."
What next for Richarlison and Solanke?
Tottenham really struggled in front of goal last season and their failure to find the net regularly was a huge reason for almost dropping down to the Championship.
Richarlison finished the season topping the goalscoring charts with 12 goals in all competitions, with Joao Palhinha and Micky van de Ven next in line on seven and Cristian Romero and Dominic Solanke just behind on six.
After so far adding six new players to the squad, Friedel has stressed the importance of now adding goals to De Zerbi's team after last season's woes.
"Goals," he stated on Tottenham's next transfer need. "I think they need to bring in a few more goals into their squad, so, you know, another one or two more attacking pieces.
"They needed to sort out a lot, and they started at the back, which is logical, and then you move forward. Usually the attacking pieces take a little bit longer in the transfer window as well, and they might even be looking at someone that's in the World Cup, and the negotiations are taking a little bit longer."
So would Friedel look at moving on one of Richarlison or Solanke if new attacking additions come in through the door?
"Richarlison I would," said the former goalkeeper on the possibility of one of the duo leaving. "Solanke I would keep, he knows the Premier League well."
