Description

It has now emerged that Emerson Royal has his heart set on a move to AC Milan and is urging Tottenham Hotspur to allow him to join the Serie A club

Emerson Royal’s future at Spurs is dominating the headlines

This update comes from TBR Football, who reveal that Spurs and AC Milan are still locked in talks over a deal for Emerson, who is now keen on a new challenge after being frustrated with his lack of game time last season.

The report claims that the defender has made it clear to the Tottenham hierarchy that he wants to move to the San Siro this summer.

In fact, the 25-year-old has allegedly told Spurs that joining the Rossoneri would be a ‘dream move’ since the Italian giants have been home to many Brazilian legends in the past.

The right-back has seen Pedro Porro firmly establish himself as Ange Postecoglou‘s first-choice option on the right side of his defence.

A move to AC Milan would suit all parties

According to the update, Spurs have made it clear that they want at least £20m for Emerson while Milan have so far only offered £15m, which has been rejected by the Lilywhites.

The publication adds that talks are still continuing between the parties, with the former Real Betis man hopeful that he will be given the green light to move to Italy.

Spurs Web Opinion

It sounds like Milan are using the player’s keenness to join them as a bargaining tool to get Tottenham to lower their demands.

If it is true that the two sides are just £5m apart in their valuation, I would expect an agreement to be reached fairly swiftly.

Description

Journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that the Emerson Royal is once again attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabian interest in Emerson Royal returns once more

Emerson Royal‘s proposed move to AC Milan has been dragging on for many weeks and there is no indication at the moment that it is imminent, with the right-back having returned to Tottenham at the weekend to commence pre-season training at Hotspur Way.

In fact, on Wednesday, it was revealed by Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sport Witness) that Milan are still quite a long way away from reaching an agreement with Tottenham over the Brazilian.

Al-Nassr’s interest could help Spurs drive up transfer fee

It was explained that the Rossoneri offered just ‘a little more’ than €10m for the 25-year-old while Tottenham are continuing to demand double that fee for the former Real Betis man.

If Jacobs’ latest update is to be believed, Al-Nassr have now also expressed an interest in Emerson, with the journalist claiming that the Saudi club’s entrance into the race could help Tottenham get a bigger fee.

MORE SPURS STORIES

He said on Playback: “That one [Royal to Milan] is a possibility. I’m also told that Al-Nassr have entered the race for Emerson as well. That will, I imagine, allow Tottenham to get the price they are looking for.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not think Al-Nassr’s interest would have any bearing on Milan’s negotiations with Tottenham since it is likely that Emerson would not want to move to Saudi Arabia at this stage of his career.

Another big Spanish or Italian side would have to enter the race to force Paulo Fonseca’s sie to increase their offer.

Description

According to Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are now in talks with Aston Villa over a deal to sign two players, which includes Jacob Ramsey.

Tottenham attempting double Aston Villa raid?

It has been widely reported all summer that Ramsey is one of the names on the top of Spurs’ wishlist, with the Lilywhites’ technical director Johan Lange, who was formerly at Aston Villa, thought to be driving the club’s pursuit of the 23-year-old.

This information was carried out most recently by Sky Sports, who suggested that Tottenham were trying to use Giovani Lo Celso as a makeweight in the operation to land Ramsey.

Giovani Lo Celso could head in the other direction

Football Insider have now claimed that Spurs are now in talks with Villa over a three-player swap deal, which involves Lo Celso, Ramsey and one other player.

The report claims that the Lilywhites a currently discussing a deal that would see the Argentine head to Villa Park while Ramsey and one unnamed Villa player would head in the other direction.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The publication adds that Unai Emery’s side value their academy graduate at £50m, with Spurs hoping to reduce the cash outlay by offering a player in exchange.

Lo Celso is currently on international duty with Argentina, who booked their place in the final of the Copa America with victory against Canada.

Spurs Web Opinion

If Tottenham are Villa are unable to agree on the valuation of Ramsey, it makes little sense to throw another player into the mix, thus further complicating negotiations.

As things stand, the 23-year-old looks likely to stay put at Villa Park this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost in the race for Eberechi Eze, with The Athletic now revealing that Manchester City are not expected to make an offer for the Crystal Palace star this summer.

Tottenham have a firm interest in Eberechi Eze

Over the last few weeks, Eze has been named as one of Tottenham’s top summer targets, with the Lilywhites, thought to be prioritising a deal for the Palace player at the moment (TEAMtalk).

However, some outlets have claimed that the North London club have to contend with competition from Manchester City for the 25-year-old.

This includes a recent update from The Sun, who suggested that both Spurs and the Premier League champions are willing to trigger the £60m release clause in the England star’s contract at Selhurst Park.

Man City are not expected to enter transfer race

The Athletic have now also backed up the existence of a £60m release clause in Eze’s contract and Tottenham’s interest in the player.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, they say that Spurs would not have to worry about Pep Guardiola’s men swooping for Eze this summer.

It is explained while City were strongly considering making a move for Eze last summer, they are currently not planning any such offer for the QPR man.

Spurs Web Opinion

It does appear as if Tottenham has identified Eze as the one big-money signing that they want to make this summer.

Spurs would not want to put all their eggs in the Palace star’s basket, which is perhaps why they are also said assessing a deal to sign Rennes winger Desire Doue.

Report: Spurs outcast is attracting 'limited interest' from other clubs

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to offload a number of players this summer, but one peripheral figure could prove to be rather difficult to offload.

Tottenham have many players they need to offload

After spending the last two seasons out on loan away from Spurs, it seems almost certain that Sergio Reguilon has no future at the club.

According to the latest from The Athletic, Reguilon will be too expensive for former club, Brentford, to sign permanently, and he does not exactly have other clubs queuing up to sign him, either.

Despite a “productive” loan spell with the Bees in the latter half of last season, Brentford “cannot afford to sign him on a permanent basis,” with his high wages likely the problem there.

Meanwhile, Spurs have found only ‘limited interest’ in the Spaniard from other clubs so far this summer.

Word on Reguilon has been fairly quiet so far this summer. Over a month ago, Spurs insider, Paul O’Keefe named the left-back as one of the players the club would be looking to sell.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Sergio Reguilon is short of options this summer

Alasdair Gold had previously revealed that Tottenham would be open to letting Reguilon go for a reasonable fee, especially given he is entering the final year of his contract.

The 27-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan with Manchester United, before joining Brentford in January.

He made 28 appearances across the campaign between the two clubs, registering four assists in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

Spurs Web Opinion

There is still plenty of time left to find a move for Reguilon, so we shouldn’t be too concerned yet. If it comes down to it, we may have to supplement his wages at a new club to make sure a transfer happens.

We cannot keep him at the club, that’s for sure, but I guess even another loan spell would be adequate for the next year and then we’ll have to let Reguilon go for free next summer. Not ideal, but that may be the only answer.

Report: Arsenal are 'frontrunners' ahead of Spurs for Premier League winger

Description

According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal have moved into pole position ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

Arsenal are interested in Pedro Neto

The report says that Spurs are now having to contend with some serious competition from their North London rivals, who are now showing ‘stronger and stronger interest’ in Neto.

The outlet claims that the Gunners view the Wolves player as someone who can provide stiff competition for Bukayo Saka on the right flank while his arrival would also allow Mikel Arteta to rotate his squad more freely.

It is alleged that Arsenal have had conversations with the Portugal international’s representatives and have emerged as the frontrunners for his signature.

Tottenham are focusing on Eberechi Eze

While Tottenham are still thought to be showing interest in Neto, the outlet explains that Ange Postecoglou’s men are more focused on signing Crystal Palace maestro Eberechi Eze.

MORE SPURS STORIES

While Wolves are demanding £60m for their star man, sources close to the 24-year-old believe that a deal can be finalised for just £50m.

Spurs Web Opinion

It is highly unlikely that Tottenham would be able to afford both Neto and Eze, given the huge fees touted for the two players.

According to Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe, it would take a huge bid if Tottenham Hotspur had any intention of looking to prise Dominic Solanke away from Bournemouth this summer.

Tottenham are yet to replace Harry Kane

Several outlets have reported over the course of the summer that Tottenham are keen on adding a marquee number nine to their squad and that Solanke is one of the names on their wishlist (Football Insider).

The 26-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season at the Vitality Stadium last term, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists across all competitions.

Tottenham’s interest in the centre-forward was backed up GiveMeSport, who stated last month that Ange Postecoglou was a fan of the Englishman and that the club’s hierarchy had identified him as the man to fill the void left by Harry Kane.

However, the publication explained that Bournemouth want their star man’s £65m release clause to be paid to let him go and this fee is considered ‘too high’ by the North London club.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Solanke would be an expensive signing for Tottenham

O’Keefe has now stated something quite similar, revealing that the Cherries want a mammoth fee for Solanke.

Spurs Web Opinion

The Solanke rumours have died down over the last month, which suggests that Tottenham have withdrawn from the race, possibly after hearing Bournemouth’s stance.

Solanke has had just one decent season at the highest level and he would need to replicate the same form over another campaign to justify a hefty price tag.

Pundit claims former Spurs star is 'killing' his team right now

Description

There have not been a wide range of Tottenham Hotspur players taking part in Euro 2024 over the past month, but one player with a long history associated with the club has been underperforming for his country.

Harry Kane’s form has been called into question

That’s the opinion of former Tottenham midfielder, Jamie O’Hara, who has criticised the performances of Harry Kane for England at the tournament.

Speaking to talkSPORT, O’Hara said: “Kane doesn’t look fit, he is killing the team. You can’t argue against the fact that Kane hasn’t been performing.

“If we lose a game, it’s not because Kane hasn’t been on the pitch, because he has been ineffective anyway. He isn’t fit – you play either Ivan Toney or Ollie Watkins.”

When asked by Gareth Southgate continues to start Kane, O’Hara added: “Because he is called Harry Kane. We have got a [Cristiano] Ronaldo situation. I have said it before. We have got a Ronaldo situation. He isn’t the best striker in Europe.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

O’Hara calls for ‘unfit’ Kane to be replaced

Kane has two goals at Euro 2024 so far, including the winning goal against Slovakia in the round of 16. However, the Bayern Munich man was taken off in extra-time against Switzerland before the penalty shootout after struggling to make an impact on the game.

He went into the tournament on the back of an incredible season, at least on a personal level, for Bayern, where he scored 44 goals in 45 games for his new club (Transfermarkt).

However, Kane failed to end his trophy drought with Bayern and will now be hoping he can lead the Three Lions to glory in Germany over the next week.

Spurs Web Opinion

There’s no way Southgate would drop Kane from the starting lineup. He’s the England captain and he’s one of the best strikers in the game on his day, and I think you have to stick with him just in case he produces something special.

That said, he doesn’t look 100%, and I would be surprised if he lasts the full game against the Netherlands.

Pundit urges manager to bring Tottenham man into the team for crucial fixture - The Spurs Web
Description

Dutch icon Pierre van Hooijdonk has urged Ronald Koeman to bring Micky van de Ven into his Netherlands starting eleven to cope with the threat of Bukayo Saka in tonight’s Euro 2024 semi-final.

Van de ven has mostly seen action off the bench this summer

The Netherlands take on England this evening at the Westfalenstadion for the chance to play Spain in the final in Berlin on Sunday.

Neither team have had a smooth passage to the final four, having flattered to deceive in some matches, but both sides are full of match winners who are capable of delivering on the big stage.

So far this tournament, Koeman has used van de Ven as a late substitute at left-back in almost all of the matches, preferring to start with Manchester City‘s Nathan Ake.

However, calls are now growing for the Tottenham man to come into the starting eleven for the semi-final, with van Hooijdonk being the latest to suggest that change.

MORE SPURS STORIES

van de Ven has the pace to cope with the threat of Saka

The former Netherlands striker identified Saka as England’s biggest threat and suggested that the 23-year-old could be the man to nullify the Arsenal man.

When asked why he wants van de Ven to start at left-back, he told Studio Fußball, (relayed by Voetbal Primeur): “That really has to do with his (Van de Ven’s) duelling power. He often takes the opponent with him in his tackle.

“He is just in pain; he is really bothered by it. Besides the fact that with his speed he also has a lot of can correct.

“In my opinion, Saka is the most dangerous player in the English team. You often hear trainers say: we look from match to match. Then you look very specifically at that opponent. Then you could well say: Saka is lightning fast, I put Van de Ven against that.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Having stuck with nearly the same starting eleven all tournament, I doubt Koeman would decide to make a change ahead of the semifinal.

I would expect Ake to start and for van de Ven to come on around the 70th minute, which has been the pattern in the competition so far.

Report: Tottenham may have to be patient if they wish to sign 26-year-old - The Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur might have to be patient if they want to sign Federico Chiesa since the Juventus player is reportedly not in a hurry to make a decision on his future.

Chiesa will take time to decide his future

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now told Sky Sport Italia (as relayed by Roma Press) that Chiesa has now informed his representatives that he will not rush into a decision on his next destination.

This is despite the fact that Juventus have already put him on the shop window and Roma have expressed a keen interest in signing him.

The report claims that the 26-year-old will get married on 20 July, after which he intends to return to Juve’s pre-season camp.

The Italy international reportedly wants to make himself available to Thiago Motta and understand further about the new manager’s plans for next season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Winger wants clarity of what is happening at Juventus

Only then will Chiesa decide on his future, with the winger not ruling out the possibility of running his contract down and leaving on a free transfer next summer.

The report adds that the former Fiorentina man would be willing to evaluate the proposals that come his way from across Europe.

Spurs Web Opinion

We know that Ange Postecolou wants most of the new signings to arrive through the door before the pre-season tour to Asia.

If Chiesa is not keen on making a swift decision, that might force Tottenham to abandon their pursuit of the Italian international.
