Description

Tottenham Hotspur's transfer window has sprung into life this week, with the club having agreed a £55million move for West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus - and they could further that with another major signing, with reports suggesting that they have turned their attention to landing Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White after an outstanding season from the midfielder.

Spurs' awful campaign in the Premier League last season saw them finish 17th, their lowest-ever finish in the competition and one that is likely to be their worst for a long time, unless they are relegated in the future. However, salvaged by a Europa League win, that means that they will feature in the Champions League next season by virtue of their continental success - and having tempted Kudus to the club, Gibbs-White could be next on the list despite qualifying for the Europa Conference League himself with Forest.

Report: Tottenham 'Turn Attention' to Morgan Gibbs-White

The Nottingham Forest star has plenty of suitors after a great campaign

The report by David Ornstein states that Tottenham have now 'turned their attention' to Gibbs-White as they look to be rivalled to the signing of Eberechi Eze - despite being close to sealing a move for West Ham star Kudus.

New Spurs boss Thomas Frank is a 'long-term admirer' of the England international, and at 25 years of age, he's slowly coming into his peak as a Premier League player, being labelled as 'unplayable' in the past.

Tottenham will try to convince Gibbs-White to move to north London if a deal can be agreed with Forest, though that could be difficult due to his supposed £100million price tag.

Gibbs-White is high on the recruitment list of various leading clubs in the country, but Spurs are hopeful given their Champions League status. He was strongly considered by Manchester City though they instead favoured Lyon star Rayan Cherki and AC Milan metronome Tijjani Reijnders instead - leaving hm at the City Ground.

It's slightly worrying news for Forest, who are set to see fellow star Anthony Elanga depart for Newcastle United for a fee of £55million in the coming days - though if both were to leave, there would be an exceptional chance for a rebuild ahead for the club.

Description

Tottenham have started talks to sign Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

The Europa League winners are looking to bolster their attacking options further after agreeing a £55m deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, and have identified Wissa as their next target.

Spurs are hoping to reunite the 28-year-old forward with his former Brentford coach Thomas Frank, who is believed to be ‘pushing’ for Wissa’s arrival in North London this summer.

Brentford are said to be demanding around £50m for the Congolese international, who has now entered the final year of his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Tottenham Keen on Yoane Wissa’s Arrival

Facing competition from Premier League clubs

According to Bailey, Tottenham could face competition from Newcastle United for Wissa this summer, as the Magpies are also believed to be in talks with the 28-year-old’s representatives.

Eddie Howe’s side are considering Wissa as a ‘strong alternative’ to Joao Pedro, who joined Chelsea earlier this month despite long-standing interest from Tyneside.

Wissa is said to be keen on leaving Brentford this summer, although he has yet to indicate a preferred destination.

The ‘extraordinary’ forward, who joined the Bees from Lorient in 2021, enjoyed his best Premier League season in 2024/25, scoring 19 goals and providing five assists in 35 appearances.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Wissa has registered 62 goal contributions in 149 appearances for Brentford.

Tottenham are now close to sealing a move for Kudus, having agreed a package worth £55m with West Ham.

The Ghana international will sign a six-year contract with the North London club and become Spurs’ first signing of a new era under Frank.

David Ornstein: Tottenham Reach 'Full Agreement' to Sign 'World-Class' £55m Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham have reached a full agreement to sign West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, according to David Ornstein.

The Lilywhites have been in talks with their London rivals over a deal for the Ghana star in recent weeks and had bids rejected, as West Ham look to raise funds to fund their own squad rebuild this summer.

But a deal has now been agreed for Kudus to make the rare cross between east and north London clubs, with a medical expected to take place in the next 24 hours.

Tottenham Agree Deal for Kudus

Deal worth £55m, medical on Thursday

Kudus, who has been described as 'world-class', struggled for form under Graham Potter in his second season with West Ham, and the club have now decided to cash in for less than his release clause.

According to Ornstein, Tottenham have agreed a fee in the region of £55m for the former Ajax attacker, and he is set to become the second signing for Thomas Frank since his arrival from Brentford, following defender Kota Takai

The club are also looking at making a move to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa for Frank as they look to rebuild their forward line, with several players expected to move on.

The club have had contact from clubs over the situation of Brazil star Richarlison, who is said to have no future at the club under the new manager, while there are also question marks over the future of captain Heung-Min Son this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Kudus had attracted interest from Saudi Arabia but was keen to stay in Europe, and will now get a chance to return to the Champions League with his new club after two years with the Hammers.

Description

Tottenham are making their move to sign Brentford striker Yoane Wissa this summer, according to BBC journalist Sami Mokbel.

The Lilywhites are looking to strengthen their squad this summer after appointing Thomas Frank as their new manager, as they prepare to enter the Champions League following their success in the Europa League in 2024/25.

Frank has so far only added young Japanese defender Kota Takai to the squad since his arrival, but the club are now moving to sign a new striker who the manager knows very well.

Tottenham 'Moving' for Wissa

Striker open to north London move

Wissa, who has been described as 'unbelievable', had a fantastic Premier League season in 2024/25 as he scored 19 goals for the Bees under Frank, becoming their all-time top scorer in the division in the process.

His form and performances have seen clubs take a keen eye to his situation at the Gtech Community Stadium, as he enters the final 12 months of his contract with the club - although Brentford have the option to extend that by a further 12 years.

It's understood that Wissa would be open to the move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Spurs are now weighing up the financials attached to making any deal happen.

It's also believed that Brentford don't want to sell both Wissa and Mbeumo this summer, with the Cameroon star closing in on a move to Manchester United with the clubs remaining in talks to find an agreement.

But if Tottenham are able to push through a move for DR Congo star Wissa, it may be difficult for the Bees to keep hold of both.

Timo Werner's Football Career Hits New Low After Tottenham Spell Ends

Timo Werner's football career hits new low as report emerges, just weeks after he got married - GiveMeSport
Description

Timo Werner has reportedly been told he has no future at RB Leipzig, just weeks after getting married, and his career is now at a crossroads.

The German attacker returned to the Bundesliga club after a disappointing loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur. He struggled to impress in North London and was on the receiving end of an Ange Postecoglou tirade last season.

Werner managed three goals and seven assists in 41 games for the Lilywhites across a season and a half, having initially joined in January 2024. He had a point to prove with the Lilywhites after a nightmare time with rivals Chelsea whom he joined from Leipzig in 2020 for £53m.

Leipzig Tell Werner To Find A New Club

No honeymoon period on his return to Red Bull Arena

German outlet BILD reports that the 29-year-old has since been informed he isn't part of Leipzig's plans despite the arrival of new manager Ole Werner. He is expected to report for performance testing at the club's training facilities but won't appear on the field.

Werner has received interest from New York Red Bulls, but he's snubbed an offer to join the MLS franchise on a reported two-year deal. He is earning over £8.6m per year under his current contract and isn't prepared to take a significant salary reduction.

The New York Red Bulls aren't willing to increase their offer, which leaves the versatile attacker needing to look elsewhere with a year left to run on his Leipzig deal. A return to the Premier League feels extremely unlikely for a player who won the Champions League at Chelsea.

It was only last month, around the end of June, when Werner tied the knot with partner Paula Lense after eight years together. They first met during his first spell at Leipzig, when he caught the eye of numerous top clubs in Europe, including Chelsea, before his career took a nosedive.

Werner was able to put a difficult past season behind him and marry Lense in La Fortaleza in Mallorca, Spain. He and Lense completed their civil wedding last year but opted for a ceremony, with the likes of Kevin Kampl and David Raum in attendance.

Their wedding would have given him something to look forward to amid an uncertain future, and he was all smiles in photos posted on her Instagram account. Those celebrations will have petered out two weeks later and his football career has now hit rock bottom.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have discovered that Orkun Kokcu is open to entering discussions over a move to Hotspur Way after the Benfica star has been added to the north Londoners' list of summer targets by head coach Thomas Frank and members of the recruitment department, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.

Although Spurs have remained in conversations to sign Mohammed Kudus despite West Ham United rejecting an initial £50million offer, there is an appetite to secure additional fresh faces as they aim to build on adding to the trophy cabinet thanks to winning the Europa League in May.

Heung-min Son is poised to assess his future in the coming days, having been the subject of interest from Major League Soccer outfit Los Angeles FC, and Frank is eager to make his mark by remaining active in the transfer market after being appointed as Ange Postecoglou's successor in the hot-seat.

Kokcu Interested in Exploring Switch to Spurs

Midfielder keen to gauge how serious north Londoners are in pursuit

Kokcu wants to hold talks over a potential move to Tottenham, according to GMS sources, after deciding that he is open to embarking on a fresh challenge in the Premier League if he is given the green light to walk away from Portuguese heavyweights Benfica before the summer window slams shut on September 1.

The Primeira Liga giants have decided that they will entertain bids in the region of £35million for the central midfielder, despite him being one of the first names on the team sheet, and that has resulted in Spurs and other interested parties being put on red alert as they seek to upgrade their respective squads.

GMS sources have been informed that Kokcu, who enjoyed a productive 2024/25 campaign in his current surroundings, is keen to quickly discover how serious Tottenham are about luring him away from Benfica after he has shown a desire to test himself in the English top flight for the first time in his career.

The Turkey international, who has been described as 'elite' thanks to his consistent performances, has left the door ajar for admirers and new Spurs boss Frank is tempted to pounce as he prepares his side for a season which will include a return to Champions League action.

Tottenham have pinpointed Kokcu as a fresh potential acquisition after taking note of his availability since missing out on earlier summer targets, GMS sources have learned, and he is refusing to rule out the possibility of heading to north London if they attempt to wrap up a deal following continued negotiations for Kudus.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Orkun Kokcu created three big chances and registered two assists at the Club World Cup

Frank Facing Stiff Competition for Kokcu Deal

Domestic counterparts and Italian giants eyeing 24-year-old

GMS sources have been told that Tottenham are facing stiff competition for Kokcu's signature as reigning Premier League champions Liverpool scouted him in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign, leading to there being a desire to gauge their level of interest before making a final decision on his future.

The 24-year-old has previously described Reds chief Arne Slot as 'the best coach in the world', having enjoyed a successful spell under him at Feyenoord, and his existing relationship with the Dutch tactician is threatening to complicate matters for Frank as he considers luring him to Spurs.

Inter Milan have also touched base with Kokcu and his representatives in a bid to decipher whether he is interested in relocating to Serie A, GMS sources understand, while domestic rivals AC Milan and Roma have been linked as additional admirers as he contemplates heading through the Benfica exit door.

GMS sources recently revealed that Tottenham are prepared to sell Yves Bissouma, which would leave a void in the middle of the park, and Frank is mulling over whether to look towards Portugal for a more attack-minded replacement as he prepares for his first campaign at the capital club's helm.

Tottenham Hotspur's quest to sign a new centre-back in the summer for new boss Thomas Frank could see them once again look to Burnley star Maxime Esteve - with reports suggesting that they have opened talks to land the young centre-back after seeing a winter bid turned down.

The 'unbelievable' Frenchman, 23, was already looked at by Tottenham in the January transfer window, but Burnley turned down a late bid for their star as they pushed for Championship promotion, which they achieved with two games to spare under former Tottenham midfielder and current boss Scott Parker - breaking records in the second-tier, with Burnley only conceding 16 goals in the league to break an EFL record by almost half.

Report: Tottenham 'Open Talks' to Sign Burnley Star Maxime Esteve

The club are ready to improve their squad depth ahead of a Champions League campaign

However, a report on Tuesday eveningn by French outlet L'Equipe states that Tottenham and Burnley have now 'resumed' talks over a potential move that would see Esteve join the north London outfit.

With the Champions League on the horizon at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they are back in the market to try and sign the defender, having resumed contact with the Clarets to reach an agreement after L'Equipe reported that their €24million (£20million) offer on January's transfer deadline day was turned down by Burnley chair Alan Pace.

The former Montpellier star could join alongside Mohammed Kudus of West Ham United, who they had a £50million bid rejected for on Saturday, though talks are expected to continue for the Ghanaian international.

Esteve joined Burnley in the second half of their Premier League campaign under Vincent Kompany back in January 2024. His arrival led to a marked improvement for the Clarets, losing just eight of their remaining 16 games in the top-flight - having suffered defeat in an astonishing 16 of their 22 games prior to his arrival from Ligue 1.

Esteve was also an ever-present for Burnley in their promotion campaign, starting every game as they secured an immediate return to the top-flight under Parker.

Tottenham have already got Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven as their starting centre-backs in north London, whilst Kevin Danso and Radu Dragusin will act as back-ups - though rumours have seen Romero linked with a move away and that could see Esteve replace the Argentine in any case.

Tottenham Make £60m+ Bid to Sign ‘World-Class’ Star, He Wants to Join - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham have made a third bid for West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus worth over £60m, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.

The Europa League winners have reportedly submitted another offer to sign the ‘world-class’ attacker after seeing their first two bids rejected by West Ham.

However, their third offer, worth £50m plus £12.5m in add-ons, was also turned down, as the Hammers reportedly unsatisfied with the structure of the deal.

Kudus is believed to have informed West Ham of his desire to join Tottenham this summer and is now focused on completing a move across London.

Tottenham Make Third Kudus Offer

West Ham want straight cash deal

According to Bailey, Tottenham could still strike a deal for under £60m if they present the right kind of proposal.

West Ham are understood to be holding out for a straight cash deal for the 24-year-old forward and are unlikely to accept offers heavily based on add-ons.

While the Hammers would prefer not to sell Kudus to a Premier League rival, interest from other clubs appears limited at present, with Tottenham currently the only side actively pursuing him.

Kudus is also believed to have turned down an offer from the Saudi Pro League earlier in the summer and has reportedly identified North London as his preferred destination.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Kudus scored five goals and provided three assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season.

Tottenham’s summer activity has yet to fully take off following permanent deals for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel, though outgoings could soon fuel further moves to strengthen Thomas Frank’s squad.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Spurs are hoping to offload midfielder Yves Bissouma in the coming weeks and are working to create a market for the 28-year-old, with Juventus among the clubs showing interest.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been showing interest in signing Benfica midfielder Orkun Kokcu who is pushing to leave the Portuguese giants.

CaughtOffside reports that Spurs are one of four clubs eyeing the 24-year-old, and he could be allowed to leave for around £35m (€40m). He has impressed since joining the Liga Portugal side from Feyenoord in the summer of 2023.

Thomas Frank is getting to grips with his new squad after replacing Ange Postecoglou and appears keen to strengthen in midfield. The Lilywhites are already in talks with West Ham United for Mohammed Kudus and could add another creative gem to their squad.

Tottenham Battling It Out For Kokcu

The Turk "wants to leave" Benfica amid fallout

Kokcu's future has been the subject of speculation following a falling out with Benfica manager Bruno Lage. Turkish outlet Sports Digitale reports that the player has informed the Portuguese club that he doesn't intend to be present for pre-season on July 14.

Spurs are keen on the Turkish playmaker, whose passing range has earned plaudits both in the Netherlands and in Portugal. He has three years left on his contract, and his appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup may be his last action as a Benfica player.

The Turkiye international's preference is to reunite with Arne Slot at Liverpool, who are also admirers alongside Manchester United and Inter Milan. But Florian Wirtz's arrival at Anfield doesn't make a new creative midfielder a necessity despite his connection with the Dutch coach.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Orkun Kokcu was named Eredivisie Player of the Season under Arne Slot in Feyenoord's 2022-23 title-winning season.

Spurs may consider Kokcu, described as "elite", as a long-term replacement for James Maddison, whose future isn't certain. They might be able to offer him a guaranteed starting role unlike Liverpool upon their return to Champions League football.

Ironically, Daniel Levy could use a similar situation to try to sign Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck as a possible replacement for Cristian Romero. The German is reportedly available after siding with Hakan Calhanoglu amid San Siro turmoil.

Imagine Him and Kudus: Tottenham Hold Talks to Sign £315,000-a-Week Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Mohammed Kudus from London rivals West Ham United could massively improve their ranks ahead of their Champions League campaign - but if they get a deal done, their hard work shouldn't stop there with the addition of a further top-class attacker to give new boss Thomas Frank a huge helping hand.

Kudus, who didn't impress as much as he would've liked for the Hammers last season, was the subject of a £50million bid from Tottenham on Saturday, which was rejected out of hand by the Irons, but it's expected that Daniel Levy will return for the Ghanaian, who wants the move to the north London outfit.

Whilst Tottenham completed loan moves that turned permanent for Kevin Danso and Bayern Munich prodigy Mathys Tel, any permanent moves for players who didn't spend time at the north London outfit last season haven't materialised just yet - but a move for Kudus is on their priority list. However, they shouldn't stop there if a deal does get underway - with Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic being a move that they must get over the line to massively bolster their ranks.

Vlahovic Would be an Astute Addition Alongside Kudus

The Serbian has been touted with a move away for quite some time

Vlahovic has been one of Serie A's top strikers for a number of years, bursting onto the scene as a 19-year-old with Fiorentina to score six in his first full season at La Viola - before blossoming and scoring 38 goals in just 68 games for the club over two Serie A seasons.

That prompted a move to Juventus for a huge fee and £315,000-per-week wage, becoming their first-choice star and his first two-and-a-half seasons bore 33 goals in just 75 games, becoming a solid acquisition in Turin.

However, the club's failure to keep themselves as a dominant force in the top-flight means that Vlahovic is now ready to move on, owing to his huge wages - and Tottenham would be the ideal move for him.

Dominic Solanke is the club's only out-and-out striker, with many options being wide players who have had stints up front including Son Heung-min, Richarlison and Mikey Moore - though Son and Richarlison's futures are up in the air, whilst Moore remains a young talent who needs to be nurtured.

Vlahovic should be brought in as competition for the English star, and that would see the Serbian finally get his chance at the age of 25 to shine in the Premier League.

Vlahovic Would Come on the Cheap to West Ham

The Serbian wants out of Juventus, and the feeling is mutual

This isn't just a shot in the dark - Vlahovic was touted for a move to Tottenham at the turn of Sunday morning, with the club having been 'spoken to' about a move for the former Partizan Belgrade signing.

He is free to leave Juventus, who are actively trying to sell Vlahovic, and he will be available for as little as £13million - with their asking price being slashed in half, making a move to the Premier League much easier.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Mohammed Kudus has 12 goals in 42 caps for Ghana.

Kudus' creativity and dribbling, mixed with Vlahovic's incisive nature and clinical edge, means that he should be the next player for Levy to be banging the door down for after their Champions League qualification.
