The Roberto De Zerbi overhaul is well under way at Tottenham, with six new signings already arriving at the club.

Martin Dubravka, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali have all been welcomed into the fold in the white half of north London and the Lilywhites are showing no signs of letting up in their big-money business just yet.

But with lots of incoming traffic there is an expectation that a number of current players will have to depart too and only Yves Bissouma - at the end of his contract - and Alejo Veliz have left as yet.

Spurs youngster made an impression in the FA Cup

But that is about to change with a young player now set to leave the club too.

Alfie Devine signed for Spurs as a 15-year-old back in 2020 but has only made two first-team appearances, scoring once in the win over non-league side Marine in the FA Cup in 2021.

Now he looks set to depart the club, six years on from signing, as he makes the move to Preston North End on a permanent deal.

Devine spent last season on loan with the Championship club, making a good impression, playing 48 times for the club in all competitions, scoring eight goals and laying on eight assists too.

Preston did have an option to buy the 20-year-old written into that loan deal for £6million, but that clause ran out, with the club hoping to renegotiate terms with Spurs instead, which they appear to have done.

According to football.london's Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, Devine is undergoing a medical ahead of a permanent move to Deepdale.

Speaking on X, he said: "Understand Alfie Devine is currently having a medical ahead of a move to Preston North End. The youngster had a great season there on loan and looks set to join the Championship side permanently with plenty of clubs also interested."

Among those other clubs interested were Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, who were in talks with Tottenham over the signing of Devine.

Spurs may have to say goodbye to a number of young players

Reports earlier this week suggested the Hoops had moved to the front of the queue to sign Devine after positive talks with Spurs over a deal in the region of £6million to £8million. But that has not proved to be the case, with Preston winning the race for the highly-rated attacking midfielder.

Devine may not be the only young players leaving the club this summer, with Brighton set to complete a £46million move to sign Luka Vuskovic, while there have been reports that Lucas Bergvall wants to leave the club too.

Everton are eyeing a move to sign Tottenham and England star Djed Spence this summer to strengthen their right-back position, according to The Athletic.

The Toffees are looking to bolster their squad after a 13th-placed finish in the Premier League last season, and have already splashed the cash to bring in Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough, while Merlin Rohl's loan move has been made permanent.

However, after allowing Seamus Coleman to depart at the end of his contract, and with Nathan Patterson expected to depart during the transfer window, right-back has emerged as a position the club are looking to strengthen.

Everton Eyeing Spurs Star Djed Spence

Spence, who has been described as the fastest player in the England squad, has been a regular at Tottenham over the last two seasons, playing at both right-back and left-back on a number of occasions.

He is currently featuring for England at the World Cup, and came on as a late substitute for Thomas Tuchel during their huge 3-2 win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium to claim a place in the quarter-finals, where they will take on Norway.

But while he has become a valued member of the England squad, his place in the Spurs squad is not as cemented following the arrival of Roberto De Zerbi.

Spurs have added six players to their squad so far this summer, including defenders Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke, while right-back Pedro Porro has signed a new long-term contract, and Destiny Udogie is expected to be a key member of the side.

That has left Spence battling for his spot, and Everton are ready to offer him a chance to claim a starting role at the Hill Dickinson Stadium as part of David Moyes' side.

The Merseyside club have a number of options on their shortlist for the position, including Arsenal star Ben White, but no deals are advanced.

Spence Would Be Huge Upgrade for Everton

Everton and Moyes are well known for having a solid defence, and in recent times they have done that with a makeshift squad.

Jake O'Brien has been first-choice right-back ever since Moyes took over, but he is naturally a centre-back and he struggles to make an impact when going forward as a result. On the opposite flank, Vitalii Mykolenko has been a reliable option, but he needs competition to get better.

Spence would be a huge upgrade on every full-back at the club, and if a deal is there to be done for the Toffees then it would be a shrewd bit of business to do this summer.

Tottenham have been told to pay £68m if they want to sign Como attacking midfielder Martin Baturina after holding talks with the Croatian international.

Baturina has recently been competing at the World Cup with Croatia, before they were knocked out by Portugal in the round of 32.

Interest has been building in the 23-year-old, especially after a strong tournament despite not being able to help Croatia reach the round of 16.

Tottenham are in the market for reinforcements in the summer transfer window despite already making six new additions.

Martin Dubravka, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan-Paul van Hecke have all signed on the dotted line at Tottenham.

Despite the six additions, it appears their business is not over just yet.

Tottenham told price after talks

According to a report from 24 Sata (via Sport Witness), Tottenham have been told by Serie A side Como that Baturina will be allowed to leave the club for a fee around £68 million in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have had talks with Como ahead of a potential move, and they've now been told what it will take to get him out of the Italian outfit.

Spurs will face competition from Bayern Munich, among others, and his price tag has increased after his World Cup displays.

Como are in a strong negotiating position with the Croatian international, described as a 'magician', as he is tied down under contract until 2030.

Whether Tottenham can beat a club like Bayern Munich in the race remains to be seen, while the £68m price tag does seem hefty.

Tottenham enjoying impressive window

Even if Tottenham's transfer window ended right now, they'd still be in a better position than they were at the end of last season.

They're making some excellent signings to improve the starting eleven and raise the floor of De Zerbi's squad.

Considering they've made all their new additions by early July, they're still likely to bring in a host of new signings before the end of the window.

Tottenham have heavily strengthened in midfield and defence so far in the transfer window. It wouldn't be a surprise if their attention turned to improving their forward line in the coming weeks.

Tottenham open midfielder talks

According to a report from TeamTalk, Tottenham are one of the sides to have opened talks to sign Manchester City midfielder Xavier Parker in the summer transfer window.

The Manchester club are believed to be desperate to keep hold of the 16-year-old talent, making him an 'outstanding' offer that is believed to be among the strongest financial packages to a player of his age in Europe.

Tottenham are believed to be in a race against eight other clubs to secure the signature of the young star, who is widely regarded as one of the best in his age group in English football.

Parker, described as a game-breaking midfielder, is yet to agree terms on a professional contract with City, which has alerted other clubs such as Tottenham.

Tottenham pushing for Kroupi

Tottenham are also pushing to secure the signature of Bournemouth forward Eli Jr Kroupi in the summer transfer window.

Reports have suggested that Tottenham are preparing to make an opening bid of around £75 million to sign the youngster after his breakthrough season with the Cherries.

Spurs are believed to be at the front of the queue for Kroupi as they are planning to offer him an immediate start and role.

Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be interested in signing Kroupi, but with their star-studded attack, he is going to find it difficult to break into the starting eleven immediately.

But the Lilywhites are still looking at other deals, with a mega offer being lined up to sign Kroupi despite Bournemouth not wanting to sell. However, the north London side are now looking at other forward options, which has seen them offered the chance to sign a household name.

Tottenham Offered Dusan Vlahovic

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign former Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer.

Vlahovic, who has been described as 'one of the best strikers in the world', recently left the Serie A giants after his contract expired, and is now searching for a new club, ideally in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is attracting big interest from Turkish giants Besiktas, but Spurs are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation as they assess their own forward options for the new season. Richarlison is expected to depart, while Randal Kolo Muani has left following the end of his loan spell.

Kroupi remains the club's top target for the striker role, which could see any move for Vlahovic put on the back burner as a result.

But with the Serbian international available on a free transfer, it's a deal that could emerge as a bargain considering the major expenditure being put out by the ownership to strengthen other areas of the squad during this window.

Vlahovic Would Be Excellent Plan B

Dominic Solanke is currently the first-choice and only senior striker in the Spurs squad, but if De Zerbi is able to get his way and complete a deal to sign Kroupi, the expectation is that the Frenchman would be first choice.

Solanke would be excellent competition for him, and offer a different profile, but Vlahovic has got a much better goalscoring record throughout his career, and he is the type of profile who is a bit of a hybrid between them both.

The likelihood is that Vlahovic's wages and the fact he wouldn't be an automatic starter are going to be a hurdle that needs overcoming, but if Kroupi doesn't arrive then it makes a deal much more feasible, and it's one to keep an eye on while he remains unattached.

Two Premier League clubs are said to be considering a move for a Tottenham player who could push for a move this summer. Spurs have had a memorable summer transfer window so far, racking up a club-record spending bill of more than £230million, and more spending is expected.

Back-to-back bottom half Premier League finishes have scared the Tottenham board into action, and Roberto De Zerbi is benefiting in a major way, notably being handed Jan Paul van Hecke, Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali, along with others.

But a high number of new signings is not good news for everyone, and some players now face having to leave.

Bergvall wants out of Tottenham

According to various reports, Lucas Bergvall wants to leave Tottenham this summer. The Sweden international saw his play time reduced after De Zerbi's arrival towards the end of last season, and there is no obvious path to his play time increasing next season.

Spurs have James Maddison back to full fitness, while Xavi Simons will also be an option in the 10 position. Conor Gallagher and Mateus Fernandes can also play further forward, while there are options out wide, and De Zerbi is expected to further add to those options.

In Bergvall's defence, it's understandable how he doesn't see a role in the Tottenham starting XI next season, even if fans are going to want to see him show a little more ambition to fight for his place.

Premier League duo eye Bergvall move

According to Pete O'Rourke and Football Insider, there are two clubs currently interested in a move for Bergvall this summer. O'Rourke said on the Transfer Insider Podcast: "I'm sure Tottenham don't want to keep a player who is unhappy and has indicated that he is interested in a move away. Nottingham Forest have shown a bit of interest in him as a potential replacement for Elliot Anderson, and Aston Villa are long-term admirers of Bergvall as well."

Spurs are currently said to be ruling out a move for Bergvall, but the situation could change if the player demands an exit. No manager is going to want an unhappy player kicking around,but given the Swede is only 20 years of age and with clear talent and potential, there could be a situation where he is loaned out rather than sold.

De Zerbi could also play a more selfish game and keep Bergvall around until at least January, keeping in mind Simons is not going to return until the winter.

Frank's praise for Bergvall

Former Spurs boss Thomas Frank was a big fan of Bergvall, and he believed the youngster's best position would be behind the 10, although the signings of Sandro Tonali and Fernandes won't help his cause there, either.

"Lucas is very talented. I think he will end up as what we call an eight, that's where I think he will end, but who knows? He's more than capable of playing as a 10 or he can play a more midfield role from the side as he did against Liverpool," Frank said last year.

The Senegalese international wants to leave the club this summer, even though his entourage wants him to continue his journey with the French side.

Mbaye, described as fearless, was recently at the World Cup with Senegal before they were knocked out by Belgium.

With PSG looking to strengthen in the final third and already having bundles of talent, and by now wants to leave in search of regular first-team football.

Tottenham could turn attention to young talents

Five of Tottenham's six new signings in the summer transfer window have a strong chance of coming straight into the starting 11 to improve the senior squad.

Dubravka is likely to come in and be Antonin Kinsky's number two, whereas the rest will be pushing for regular starts.

As a result, Spurs could now turn their attention to signing young talents from around the world.

Roberto De Zerbi might be hoping to bring in a few more players to improve the starting eleven, but they can also take further risks and assign up-and-coming stars.

Mbaye would certainly fit into that category, while he's also capable of making an impact right now.

Tottenham Prepare £75m Kroupi Bid

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tottenham are preparing to make an opening £75m offer to sign Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi.

Kroupi, who has been described as 'world-class', enjoyed a stunning breakthrough campaign for the Cherries in the Premier League last season, netting a record 12 goals as a teenager, and attracting the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs, including reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Tottenham are understood to be at the front of the queue currently as they can offer him an immediate starting role, whereas PSG are likely to use the Frenchman as an immediate backup to current starters Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Desire Doue.

Tottenham's hierarchy are fully committed to backing De Zerbi in the transfer market, and the club are now preparing an opening offer of around £75m to try and convince Bournemouth to part ways with their star forward.

The Cherries have been adamant that they will not sell Kroupi this summer, but Spurs believe the player would be open to joining them, and with the promise of regular first-team football and a mega-money offer, they are optimistic they can get a deal done.

Tottenham Going All-Out This Summer

Spurs have already broken their spending record twice this summer, and while Kroupi is highly unlikely to cost in excess of the £100m they paid for Tonali, he probably won't be too far behind.

The Frenchman is an incredibly talented young forward, and has shown that he is ready and able to make an impact at the highest level despite his age. Tottenham need new forwards to be competitive, and Kroupi is someone who fits the bill with what they are trying to do.

It's clear that the north London side are ready to go all-out to get back to competing at the top end of the Premier League following two consecutive 17th-placed finishes, and the board are now set to go into the market once again.

Tottenham could still allow some high-profile players to leave the club this summer as they look to at least partly balance their spending. It has been a record summer already for Spurs, who have spent more than they ever have in a single window, splashing out more than £230million. That's a total that was most recently added to by the signing of Sandro Tonali for £100million.

Roberto De Zerbi is being given new weapons aplenty in the hope of Tottenham becoming European football candidates again next season, and the spending is expected to continue. Both financially and in terms of Profit and Sustainability rules, Tottenham can afford to spend big this summer, having been incredibly balanced in their spending for the vast majority of years, all while being one of the most profitable clubs in the world.

But to prevent being restricted in future windows, it would be a good idea for them to commission a couple of big sales this summer, and we have already seen Luka Vuskovic head to Brighton for £46million. Cristian Romero could be the next to follow.

Romero still keen on Tottenham exit

Even with some tasty off-the-field comments about the club's board, Romero has served Tottenham with an admirable commitment that will likely see him depart with a handshake and a slap on the back. At this stage, the Argentine wants a new challenge, and Spurs are happy to give him one, already preparing for his likely exit this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, LaLiga remains Romero's destination of choice. "Cristian 'Cuti' Romero, at the moment, from Tottenham Hotspur, the view is clear, they have Van de Ven, Van Hecke, Senesi, they have plenty of centre-backs," Romero said on his YouTube channel.

"Also, not playing European football this season, the idea of parting ways with Cuti Romero is still a serious possibility. So, there is still a strong chances for Romero to leave Tottenham this summer. Despite rumours from Italy that keep arriving with Romero, my understanding is that Romero would really like to have a new experience in LaLiga. So, Cuti Romero would like to have a new experience in LaLiga if the right opportunity arrives for him and for Tottenham.

"That could be an option for Barcelona, it could be an option for Atletico Madrid, we will see, but Romero would like to go to LaLiga and try an experience in Spain. We will see what arrives for Romero because he signed a contract only a year ago, the season was not easy, but at the same time, there could be movement also because Tottenham already signed several centre-backs, and they feel well-covered in that situation, so it's going to be a situation to watch."

De Zerbi knows Romero is a 'big player'

De Zerbi hasn't had much chance to work with Romero due to the defender's injury issues at the end of last season. But the Italian did say: "He is a big player, but he is an amazing guy because he has been a great captain in my time. Even though he didn’t play, we were talking by phone when he stayed here. Every morning he came in my office.”

Thomas Frank, who started last season as Spurs boss, said after one performance: "Praising Cuti, I think he deserves that. A top performance defending. On the ball: coolness, calmness, duels, then get up there and score two goals.

“I think the bicycle kick will most likely get a little more praise but I think the header is more exceptional, the way he does that is better than many strikers.”

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Sandro Tonali in a club-record transfer.

The Lilywhites agreed a fee worth a reported £92.5m plus an additional £7.5m for the Italy international with Newcastle United, and the midfielder has now completed a medical and put pen to paper on a six-year contract in N17 to become the club's sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

Tonali: De Zerbi Was Key to Move

After the move was announced by Spurs, Tonali spoke their official website to share his thoughts on the deal.

"I'm very happy to be here," he said. "When I arrived at the Club today, it felt fantastic. People said about there being four or five clubs - there was only one.

"I spoke to the Head Coach for close to two hours about the Club, the fans, the stadium and our football. It was like magic because I knew immediately that I had to sign for Tottenham.

"I've played against Tottenham a few times and always found a great atmosphere made by great fans. I can't wait to start the season."

Tonali has signed a six-year deal, running until 2032, and becomes the club's record signing, exceeding the £85m Spurs paid earlier in the window for Fernandes from West Ham.

Sporting director Johan Lange also spoke about the deal, praising the former AC Milan star as one of the best midfielders in Europe.

"Sandro is one of the best midfielders in Europe and we are delighted to welcome him to the Club," he said.

"He has outstanding technical quality to go with real football intelligence, and has the character to thrive in a demanding, high-pressure environment. Sandro brings valuable experience at the highest level, both domestically and in European competition and I know our supporters will love his energy and commitment on the pitch.

"We are all excited to see him pull on our famous Lilywhite shirt for the first time."

De Zerbi Delighted by Tonali Signing

De Zerbi has been making a huge push to add his own stamp on the squad in north London following his arrival at the end of last season, and he has now praised the club for getting a deal to bring Tonali in done.

"Sandro is a special player and a great signing for our Club," he said.

"I have followed him for a long time, as he came through the youth system at my hometown club, Brescia, and I'm so happy to be working with him now.

"Given his qualities, there was a lot of interest in Sandro this summer. However, he was very clear in his desire to join Tottenham, and I know our fans will love what he brings to the team."
