Description

There has been a lot of speculation around Randal Kolo Muani's future during this January transfer window, with Juventus keen on re-loaning the Paris Saint-Germain frontman who has spent this season with Tottenham Hotspur.

It has not exactly been a dream loan in north London for the 27-year-old, whose only goal contributions have come in cup competition - three goals and two assists in the Champions League and one assists in the FA Cup.

He has yet to find the back of the net in 15 Premier League appearances, nor provide an assist for a teammate.

Juventus Given Green Light To Sign Kolo Muani

Kolo Muani spent the second half of last season on loan with Juventus and, by contrast, scored eight goals and laid on one assist in 16 Serie A appearances. The Italian giants were keen on re-signing him at the beginning of this season, but could not make a deal happen and Spurs swooped.

Now, Kolo Muani could be heading back to Turin on transfer deadline day.

According to TuttoSport, PSG have given Juventus the "green light" to sign the striker on transfer deadline day, with the player's salary to be covered by the Italian side for the remainder of the campaign.

The report goes on to state that Juve are in close contact with the player's representatives and that he is keen on a return to Italy after a nightmare time in England with Spurs.

Thomas Frank Says No To Transfer

However, there is a catch with any deal being completed before the 7pm deadline on Monday - Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is likely to block the move.

In a curt response to a question during his press conference on Friday, Frank explained Spurs' stance. When asked if he wanted to keep Kolo Muani, he replied: "Yes, next question."

Tottenham do not want to lose another forward before the transfer window closes, without bringing in a replacement and time is running out to do so.

Kolo Muani Will Get Transfer Hint On Sunday

Spurs were linked with Jean-Philippe Mateta, who wants out of Crystal Palace, but the Frenchman looks set to join AC Milan instead.

With Richarlison injured, Dominic Solanke - himself just recovering from injury - would be Spurs' only recognised striker were Kolo Muani to leave.

Kolo Muani is likely to be part of the Spurs squad to take on Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, with Frank having all too few options for his matchday squads.

Tottenham Open Talks to Sign Real Madrid 'Superstar' in Late January Deal

Tottenham Open Talks to Sign Real Madrid 'Superstar' in Late January Deal - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have made an enquiry over a late-window deal to sign Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz following his return from AFCON, according to TEAMtalk.

The Morocco international will be the one name remembered by everyone in relation to this tournament, with his missed Panenka penalty in the final costing his nation the win, before Senegal went on to score the decisive goal in extra time instead.

Despite that major setback, the 26-year-old was one of the standout players at AFCON, but he has found first-team opportunities hard to come by under Alvaro Arbeloa since returning to the Bernabeu earlier this month.

Now, Tottenham are among a number of clubs to make contact about the playmaker's situation.

Diaz's Situation at Real Unlikely to Change

According to TEAMtalk, following the exit of Xabi Alonso, Diaz has fallen out of favour with the Spanish giants.

Sources close to the 'superstar' are said to believe that they don't see a change in his situation - in the short term at least - and as a result his representatives have begun to explore potential opportunities, reaching out to clubs across Europe.

Serie A side Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, are one of the teams who have been contacted, with the Italian club seeing Diaz as a potential replacement for Nico Paz, who is expected to return to Real at the end of the season.

According to the report, Tottenham are one of three Premier League clubs spoken to about a potential mid-season switch. Diaz's camp are keen to gauge English interest, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa the other clubs contacted.

While Real are currently reluctant to lose Diaz before next Monday's deadline, TEAMtalk claim that sources in Spain have said 'nothing is impossible' when it comes to a potential exit in the next few days.

As well as the latest interest in Diaz, who 'can become the best in the world' according to Morocco manager Walid Regragui, Tottenham are also said to have made contact over signing two more wingers as the minutes tick down in the transfer window.

Firstly, Spurs are said to be looking at a late hijack of Inter Milan's move for Moussa Diaby of Al-Ittihad, after securing their top eight finish in the Champions League.

The former Aston Villa attacker is currently earning £250,000-a-week in the Saudi Pro League, as he eyes a move back to the European elite.

Meanwhile, Tottenham have also made a late enquiry for Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry, who earns £330,000-a-week with the Bundesliga giants.

The Germany international is 30 and, of course, used to play for Arsenal, but reports in Germany suggest that Bayern are keen to tie him down to a new contract at the Allianz Arena.

Tottenham Could Sign Maghnes Akliouche Before Transfer Deadline

Tottenham Could Sign 'Insane' £50m Star Before Transfer Deadline - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur could consider a surprise move for Monaco forward Maghnes Akliouche before the transfer deadline, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Ben Jacobs has revealed.

The North London side are considering signing a new winger amid their injury issues, with Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison all sidelined.

While a move for Akliouche is not currently in the works, Jacobs suggests Spurs could move for the Frenchman ‘for the right price’, although their priorities lie slightly elsewhere.

Spurs are more likely to target a left-sided attacker if they were to sign reinforcements, while Akliouche is a natural right winger.

Tottenham Could Move for Akliouche

Jacobs, speaking on the Market Madness podcast, revealed that Tottenham are unlikely to move for any of their long-term targets, Savinho and Yan Diomande, before the deadline, but that an Akliouche deal could emerge as more viable:

“You've got Akliouche, who can play on the right or the left, and remember, Mohammed Kudus is injured, and the likes of Savinho and Yan Diomande, two other players that Tottenham really like, I'm not so sure that either of those latter two deals will be possible between now and the end of the window.

“Akliouche maybe for the right price, but then when Kudus comes back, he'd have to be pushed centrally or over to the left-hand side.

“So that would be a consideration, because he prefers playing on the right-hand side. And I think Tottenham's long term plans are to find a left-sided attacker.”

Akliouche, praised as 'insane', has been a key player for Monaco this season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.

The £50m-rated forward, who is under contract until June 2028, has won five senior caps for France to date, scoring his first and only goal in the 3-1 win over Azerbaijan in December.

Tottenham’s January Business So Far

Tottenham have welcomed midfielder Conor Gallagher and left-back Souza as their only two signings of the January transfer window so far.

Forward Brennan Johnson was sold to Crystal Palace, while defender Kota Takai joined Borussia Monchengladbach on loan.

Tottenham are anticipating further business before the deadline, with goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky potentially heading to West Ham on loan.

Frank Wants Him: Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign Big-Name Free Agent Before Deadline - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing former Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling ahead of the transfer deadline, according to reports.

The north London side are reportedly seriously considering a move for the 31-year-old England international, who left Chelsea by mutual agreement earlier this week.

Sterling agreed to terminate the remaining 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, after failing to make an appearance for the Blues this season.

He spent last season on loan at Arsenal, where he scored one goal and provided five assists in 28 appearances.

Tottenham Keen on Raheem Sterling

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham view Sterling as a short-term reinforcement for their depleted attacking options.

The Lilywhites are operating without the injured Dejan Kulusevski, Mohammed Kudus and Richarlison at the minute and have not ruled out signing another attacker before the deadline.

Thomas Frank is believed to be open to bringing Sterling in, while the player is also believed to be open to the move, as his preference is to remain in London.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly also sounded out the 31-year-old and his camp, while defending Serie A champions have also expressed interest.

Napoli president Giovanni Manna, however, said a move for Sterling would be ‘difficult’ due to his ‘significant financial expectations’, as the winger was pocketing over £300,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Sterling last scored a Premier League goal in May 2024, in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

Tottenham have welcomed midfielder Conor Gallagher and left-back Souza as their only two January reinforcements, while winger Brennan Johnson was sold to Crystal Palace.

The Lilywhites could see striker Randal Kolo Muani depart before Monday’s deadline, with Juventus now stepping up their efforts to sign the Frenchman.

Antonin Kinsky Set for West Ham?

Antonin Kinsky may also be on the move from North London in the final four days of the January window, with West Ham pushing towards the goalkeeper’s arrival.

According to reports, the London Stadium side have reached an agreement over personal terms with the Czech shot-stopper, with Spurs likely to seek a replacement before the deadline.

Kinsky, who joined the club 12 months ago from Slavia Prague, has made just two appearances under Thomas Frank this season, and another 10 during Ange Postecoglou’s tenure in 2024/25.

Tottenham Looking to Hijack Champions League Club's Move for £50m French International

Tottenham Looking to Hijack Champions League Club's Move for £50m French International - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham are prepared to continue their busy January window right until the deadline. They have already signed Conor Gallagher but could still bring back another former Premier League player before the window shuts.

According to reports, ex-Aston Villa attacker Moussa Diaby is on their radar heading into the final few days, but they will have to beat off Inter Milan to have a chance.

Diaby is currently in Saudi Arabia at Al-Ittihad but is ready to return to Europe and could do it mid-season if things move quickly. The 26-year-old has only score three times this term but does boast an impress 11 assists in all competitions.

Tottenham need to act quickly

It is claimed via The Independent that Spurs are ready to try and take on Inter in a battle for Diaby, especially after securing a place in the top eight of the Champions League.

Diaby is thought to be keen on playing in Europe's top competition, which both Tottenham and Inter can offer, for the next few months at least. Thomas Frank's side are looking unlikely to qualify for next season's Champions League as they sit in the bottom half of the Premier League with a rotten recent record.

That hasn't stopped them from making a play for Diaby despite Inter being the current favourites. It is said that there is still time to force a U-turn as Diaby, who earns more than £250,000-a-week in Saudi according to GIVEMESPORT sources, seeks a way back into the France squad.

He has an outside chance of making it to the World Cup but would require a big end to the season. Diaby has not been selected by Didier Deschamps since leaving Villa in 2024 for £50million.

The winger recorded five goals and 15 assists in 24 matches in his first league season, helping Al-Ittihad win the title. He only spent one year at Villa, scoring six and assisting 10 as Unai Emery lead the team to fourth spot and the Champions League.

Frank needs reinforcement

There is a similarity between Gallagher and Diaby; Premier League players sold for good money and (for Diaby) possibly going back to England after a short period away.

For Frank, it is absolutely necessary. Spurs have struggled with the few fit attackers they have and they are simply rotating out right now. Dominic Solanke comes back but Richarlison is sidelined.

Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison remain sidelined with Randal Kolo Muani still searching for his mojo. Mohammed Kudus is unavailable and Mathys Tel is still unsure of how exactly to impact top level matches.

Diaby is a proven Premier League player with a track record to shout about. He went to Villa off the back of scoring 13 and nine in his last two Bundesliga seasons, assisting 12 and nine in the process.

It's also a transfer that feels right for Tottenham, someone to raise the bar for now and help them push on again in the future.

Tottenham Make Contact to Sign 'World-Class' £330,000-a-Week Forward in Late Deal

Tottenham Make Contact to Sign 'World-Class' £330,000-a-Week Forward in Late Deal - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Bayern Munich regarding the availability of winger Serge Gnabry, according to journalist Christian Falk.

Spurs are in the market for a new forward in the January transfer window after they allowed Brennan Johnson to leave the club to join Crystal Palace. It's been a disappointing campaign for Spurs, who sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Thomas Frank's squad is currently incredibly depleted due to injuries, and there's no doubt they need reinforcements in the coming days to end the season in a strong manner. The Premier League table is still very tight, so there's every chance Spurs can battle for the European places by the end of the campaign if they secure some new additions before Monday's deadline.

According to journalist Falk, Tottenham have recently made contact with Bayern Munich to discover the availability of Gnabry. The German international has informed Spurs that his priority is to remain at Bayern, and he's in talks over a new contract with the Bundesliga outfit.

Gnabry is set to sign a new two-year deal, which could see his already astronomical wage increase. Falk has previously confirmed that Gnabry currently earns in the region of £330,000-a-week at Bayern, so it will be interesting to see whether he receives a pay rise when he puts pen to paper.

The former Arsenal forward, described as 'world-class' by Vincent Kompany, has been a regular for Bayern this season, playing a total of 14 games in the Bundesliga. The 30-year-old has provided 11 goals and assists in just 10 league starts, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Bayern issued a hands-off warning for the German international.

Tottenham Need to Prioritise a New Winger

After losing Johnson earlier in the window, Spurs need to bring in a new winger before the window slams shut next week. It's been a disappointing season for the north London club, and they desperately need reinforcements if they want to mount a charge to finish in the European places.

A deal for Gnabry appears to be off the table, but Tottenham need to prioritise a new attacker. Tottenham's injury situation has amplified the need for Frank's side to ensure new additions arrive through the door as soon as possible.

Tottenham Transfer 'Accelerates' as Club Chief Jets to UK for Talks

Tottenham Transfer 'Accelerates' as Club Chief Jets to UK for Talks - GiveMeSport
Description

Galatasaray are making full use of their trip to England as talks over three potential transfers are set to accelerate.

The Turkish club faced Manchester City in the last Champions League group phase game on Wednesday night but plan to leave with at least one new midfielder.

According to reports, Tottenham's Yves Bissouma is their absolute priority and alternatives will only be considered if no deal can be agreed with Spurs.

The north Londoners were away at Eintracht Frankfurt but Bissouma is not part of Thomas Frank's squad and is free to leave this month. Galatasaray aim to take advantage of travelling to the UK and will chat to Bissouma's agent.

Bissouma to hold face-to-face talks

Media in Turkey suggest that Bissouma's representatives have already spoken to Galatasaray over a move, but they will continue in England over the coming days.

Galatasaray arrived ahead of the match at the Etihad Stadium against City on Tuesday and have sent a delegation out to snap up their January targets.

West Ham's Soungoutou Magassa and Nottingham Forest man Ibrahim Sangare are also viewed as options but Bissouma is described as being the first choice.

In fact, such is the desperation to get Bissouma over the line, senior figures and management have been flown over to get the deal done. They are said to be ready to discuss a potential transfer and will only move onto Sangare or Magassa if things do not go well with Bissouma.

Galatasaray reportedly already had an offer rejected for Magassa which was rejected but that has not put them off the Frenchman, who was initially seen as a loan option.

Spurs can move on from Bissouma

Although Frank offered Bissouma a lifeline with a first appearance of the season away at Burnley, his future at Spurs is far from certain. The Mali international has been out with injury and through African Cup of Nations duty but is surely headed for the exit door.

He has had discipline issues on multiple occasions since joining from Brighton in 2022 and Frank may have played the diplomatic card in the media but signing Conor Gallagher makes his long-term position clear.

Bissouma is running out of time on his contract and both Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall are above him in the pecking order. They represent the next generation at Spurs.

Frank was openly positive about the 29-year-old in public but his time at Tottenham is coming to an end and it won't be a serious issue for the club either.

One game left for Bissouma

With Bissouma out of the Champions League squad, he may only have one more appearance left at Tottenham. If he makes it to Sunday's match against City, ironically, then there will only be one day left to complete a January transfer.

Spurs travel to Manchester United a week later when the window will be shut. There is every chance that Bissouma's minutes at Turf Moor were his last in a Spurs shirt.

Alasdair Gold: Update on Tottenham Signing Raheem Sterling After Chelsea Exit

Alasdair Gold: Update on Tottenham Signing Raheem Sterling After Chelsea Exit - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are not expected to make a move to sign Raheem Sterling, after he left Chelsea by mutual consent, according to reliable reporter Alasdair Gold.

Chelsea recently confirmed that they agreed to terminate the contract of Sterling, who has struggled since his move to Stamford Bridge. The English forward was banished from the first team squad this season, and failed to feature for the club with his career stagnating.

With the west London club struggling to offload him, Chelsea agreed to terminate his contract, allowing him to find a new club. Tottenham have been linked with a possible move to secure his signature as they search for a new forward this month, and Gold has now provided an update on whether Spurs could try and bring him to north London.

Tottenham Make Decision on Raheem Sterling

According to journalist Gold, Tottenham are not expected to make a move to sign Sterling on a free transfer. This comes shortly after the reliable reporter ruled out a potential move for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Sterling this month, and former midfielder Jamie O'Hara seems keen on the idea. O'Hara suggested that he would 'absolutely' take Sterling at Spurs, suggesting that he's better than what they've got in attack.

"I would have him at Tottenham. I would absolutely take Sterling at Tottenham. I think he’s a good player. He’s better than what we’ve got. I’d sign him on a contract to the end of the season if he was willing to do that. I don’t know what other offers he’s got in terms of, he might have a long-term contract in Saudi offering him loads of money. But if the candle is still lit and he wants to still be a Premier League football player I would give him an opportunity at Tottenham."

It appears that O'Hara isn't going to get his wish, and it remains to be seen whether Spurs will sign a new forward in the January transfer window, with moves for Sterling and Mateta ruled out.

Tottenham Making Correct Decision on Sterling

Sterling has struggled to hit the heights expected of him over the last few years, and it's no surprise that Tottenham aren't expected to pursue his signature. Since joining Chelsea, Sterling has spent time out on loan at Arsenal, where he also failed, while he's yet to play a single minute of action this season.

The English attacker is likely to demand significant wages, and Spurs will struggle to see a strong return on their investment, even though he's available on a free transfer. A new forward would be beneficial, but Sterling isn't the answer for the north London club.

Alasdair Gold Drops Update on Tottenham Move to Sign Jean-Philippe Mateta

Alasdair Gold Drops Update on Tottenham Move to Sign Jean-Philippe Mateta - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are not going to make a move to sign Crystal Palace star Jean-Philippe Mateta this month, according to Alasdair Gold.

Spurs have been strongly linked with a move to bring in a new forward this month amid a poor season under Thomas Frank, with major question marks over the futures of Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani ahead of Monday's transfer deadline.

Some reports had suggested that France international Mateta could emerge as a late target as a move away from Selhurst Park accelerated, but it now looks highly unlikely that he will moving across London this month.

Tottenham Not Interested in Mateta

Mateta, who has been described as one of the best strikers in the Premier League, looks set to depart the Eagles this month after asking to leave following an impasse on talks over a new contract.

Aston Villa and Juventus had shown an interest in the 28-year-old, but their interest has since cooled, and Sean Dyche's Nottingham Forest side have tabled a £35m bid for his services, although Palace are said to want at least £40m.

That had sparked suggestions that Tottenham could look to make a late swoop for his signature to beat off the competition, however, Football.London journalist Gold has now shared that there is no such move in the pipeline currently.

Crystal Palace agreed moves to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in a £50m deal, alongside Evann Guessand from Aston Villa on a loan with an option to buy, which suggests that Mateta is now edging closer to an exit.

But despite having a historical interest, Spurs are set to stick with their current forward options until the end of the season at least, with Frank wanting some stability within his squad.

Mateta Would Be Major Tottenham Upgrade

Currently Tottenham have all of Kolo Muani, Dominic Solanke and Richarlison as starting striker options, but Solanke has missed most of the season with an injury and Richarlison is now unavailable until March with a hamstring injury.

With a number of players currently out injured, Frank needs numbers, but striker is arguably the position he needs least, and if he is happy with his options then it makes sense not to pursue a deal.

However, it's hard to see how Mateta wouldn't be an upgrade on current options, and having a reliable goalscorer like him could be the difference between climbing up the table and progressing in the Champions League or not.

Tottenham Make Decision to Dump £210,000-a-Week Star in January, He Played vs Frankfurt - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur fans will be dancing long into the night on Wednesday in Germany, after their 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt secured last 16 football in the Champions League - though one star may have played his last game for the club on the night.

Spurs won 2-0 with a goal in each half to massively alleviate the pressure on boss Thomas Frank, and give fans something to look forward to in the second half of the season after some dismal Premier League form.

But for Randal Kolo Muani, it could be the end of his spell - with Spurs having previously made the decision to 'dump' him from his loan spell.

Report: Spurs 'Dump' Kolo Muani Despite Champions League Heroics

The report by Tuttosport states that Juventus know full well that their time is running out to sign Kolo Muani in the transfer market.

It's been quite a hectic week for the French striker. Reports suggested earlier in the week that Juventus were keen to have him on loan after his awful form in north London, before he was involved in a car crash alongside teammate Wilson Odobert, and then he scored the opener against former side Eintracht Frankfurt to see Tottenham finish fourth in the Champions League's new league phase table.

However, that doesn't mean that Kolo Muani will be a part of Thomas Frank's long-term plans. As such, the report states that Juventus are still interested, and calls on Tuesday suggested that a deal could still happen.

Kolo Muani has had difficulty establishing himself in north London, with Spurs seeking more striking support as a result. Furthermore, Juve's talks with Kolo Muani's representatives have opened the same door for a move to Turin.

There is a desire to move the World Cup finalist on from London, with Spurs 'dumping' the striker. They would be happy to terminate his loan spell immediately, ending his tough period in England.

Kolo Muani Has Only Scored Against His Former Sides This Season

Kolo Muani has yet to score on English soil for Tottenham - though he does have three goals in all competitions.

Incredibly, he has only scored goals against his current side and his former sides. A brace against Paris Saint-Germain saw the £210,000-a-week star score against his parent club twice in a 5-3 loss earlier in this season's group stage.

And, having scored on Wednesday night away in Frankfurt, it means he has yet to score in England. Spurs may be best off keeping him to notch on their Champions League adventures before resting the striker on domestic soil if his record is anything to go by.
