Tottenham are showing strong interest in a summer move for promising AIK forward Kevin Filling, Swedish publication Expressen has claimed.

The Lilywhites have reportedly made a ‘concrete enquiry’ regarding the 16-year-old starlet, having taken notice of Filling’s remarkable rise in recent months.

The Sweden U17 international was handed his first-team debut by AIK in June and scored in his very first senior appearance, a 3-0 league win over Goteborg.

Days later, he was rewarded with his first professional contract by the Swedish side, who have tied Filling to the club until the summer of 2028.

Tottenham Eyeing Move for Kevin Filling

Among Premier League clubs interested in the 16-year-old

According to Expressen, several major European clubs have been monitoring Filling closely in recent weeks, including both Tottenham and Manchester United, who have registered their interest with concrete enquiries.

While United are said to be willing to sign Filling and loan him to Swiss side Lausanne, Spurs are planning to send him back to AIK for development if they manage to secure the deal.

However, AIK are believed to have no plans to sell the 'enormous' 17-year-old talent at the moment, having just signed him to a long-term deal running until June 2028.

Filling suffered an injury following his first-team debut in June and has yet to make another appearance for the Swedish side.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Filling has scored once in three appearances for Sweden U17.

Tottenham are anticipating a busy final month of the summer transfer window, as captain Son Heung-min has announced his departure and is now close to signing with MLS side Los Angeles FC.

According to GIVEMESPORT sources, LAFC have sent a delegation to South Korea to try to finalise an agreement with Tottenham, who are currently in the country for pre-season.

Description

LAFC have reached an agreement with Tottenham for a fee in the region of $20-26 million (£15-20 million) for Son Heung-Min, and have reached total agreements on personal terms, and are now finalizing the blockbuster signing, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

All agreements are set, now everything needs to be finalized. The fee may set a new MLS league record transfer, which currently stands at the $22 million Atlanta United spent to acquire Emmanuel Latte Lath this winter.

Son played what is expected to be his final game for Spurs in the club's friendly against Newcastle in South Korea on Sunday morning, where he was subbed off to a rousing ovation.

Son is expected to stay back in Seoul for a few extra days while Spurs return to England. Son could arrive in Los Angeles as early as next week, but travel plans are not yet finalized.

The 33-year-old star will instantly become a marquee player in MLS.

Los Angeles has a thriving South Korean community and it's understood this has played a key role in Son's thinking, as has the ability to be in America a year before the 2026 World Cup.

James Maddison Stretchered Off After Suffering Injury in Tottenham vs Newcastle

BREAKING: James Maddison stretchered off in tears after suffering serious injury v Newcastle - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham's preparations for the new Premier League season have been thrown into complete disarray after James Maddison was stretchered off in the latter stages of their friendly against Newcastle in South Korea. Maddison, who missed the end of the last campaign, including the Europa League final, due to being sidelined, collapsed in a heap on the floor after signalling to the bench that he needed to come off.

Onlookers from the Tottenham bench, including Son Heung-min, who recently announced he was leaving the club, looked concerned as the England international appeared to be in some discomfort while being stretchered off by medical personnel.

Maddison Suffers Pre-Season Injury

The challenge that led to the injury appeared rather innocuous

Maddison's injury appeared to stem from the midfielder attempting to close down the ball with Newcastle in possession on the right-hand side. The Englishman seems fine as he goes in for a challenge with Anthony Elanga, but as the Swede plays the ball forward, Maddison can be seen jumping in the air and then hobbling on one foot while signalling to the bench that he is hurt.

It is unclear whether Elanga made contact with Maddison as he played the ball, causing the injury, or whether the former Leicester man instead tweaked a muscle or ligament as a result of a sudden change in direction. The 28-year-old was also seen with his head in his hands as he rolled on the floor until medical staff came to his aid.

The former Norwich youngster has struggled with injuries of late, finding himself out of action during two spells of the 2024/25 season, the latter of which ruled him out of the Europa League final.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Since joining Tottenham, Maddison has spent a total of 144 days on the sidelines.

Speaking post-match, Spurs manager Thomas Frank confirmed that the issue is the same knee that Maddison injured last campaign, saying it looked like a 'bad' and 'brutal' injury.

The injury couldn't have come at a worse time for Spurs and Frank, who is already sweating on the fitness of Destiny Udogie and Dominic Solanke. Though the former is expected to return soon, the timing of both injuries and the impact it has had on their respective pre-season training means that Spurs may be without them both when they face PSG on 13th August in the UEFA Super Cup.

Meanwhile, with Son's departure also imminent, there could be even more pressure on new signing Mohamed Kudus to be the driving force of the Spurs attack should Maddison be due for a significant spell out.

Tottenham 'Make Moves' to Sign 'One of the Best Defenders in the World'

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have begun to make moves about a deal to sign Barcelona star Ronald Araujo this summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Lilywhites have had a strong summer transfer window under new manager Thomas Frank so far with the arrival of young defender Kota Takai, forward Mohammed Kudus and the imminent arrival of midfielder Joao Palhinha, while Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso's loans were made permanent too.

The club have also been able to keep hold of key star Cristian Romero despite strong interest from Atletico Madrid, and now it seems that they are looking to provide him with some competition or a new partner.

Tottenham Want to Sign Araujo

Uruguayan could be allowed to leave Camp Nou

Araujo, who was described by Carles Puyol as "one of the best defenders in the world", has fallen down the pecking order at the Camp Nou under Hansi Flick, with youngster Pau Cubarsi now considered to be the first-choice centre-back alongside Inigo Martinez or Andreas Christensen, while Jules Kounde is the first-choice right-back.

That has seen the club consider a sale for the 26-year-old as they look to raise funds once again this summer, with their financial situation still precarious after another busy summer transfer window.

It's understood that Spurs are looking to bolster the physical profile of their defence and they have identified Araujo as a perfect fit, and their interest in a deal is currently the most serious of anyone's.

Barcelona are not in a position where they have to sell, but if the right offer comes in then they could be open to a deal, and it's believed that Araujo would also be open to moving for more regular first-team football for the right club.

Spurs already have Micky Van de Ven alongside the previously mentioned Romero and Danso as centre-back options, but Araujo has experience at the very highest-level and would provide added quality to a squad looking to compete in the Champions League and Premier League this season, which makes this an appealing move for all parties if the numbers are right.

Exclusive: LAFC, Tottenham in advanced talks over $20m fee for Son - GiveMeSport
Description

Los Angeles FC are in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal in the ballpark of $20 million (£15 million) to sign Son Heung-min, sources tell GIVEMESPORT.

Spurs are hoping for $27 million (£20 million), but that is a drop in price from their original ask of around $40 million (£30 million) quoted to Saudi clubs.

An agreement on personal terms with the Spurs captain is almost in place, and the 33-year-old has already told LAFC he wants to join, sources say.

LAFC sent a delegation out to South Korea where Son is expected to play his final Spurs game against Newcastle United on August 3, a fixture in which he is contractually obligated to play as part of a commercial agreement.

A deal could be concluded quickly after August 3, sources say.

LAFC are hoping to agree a fee with Spurs of around $20 million, slightly below the MLS record $22 million plus add-ons package Atlanta United paid to Middlesbrough for striker Emmanuel Latte Lath this winter.

GMS understands the North London club are hoping for a figure closer to $27 million (£20 million) but will not stand in Son's way, giving LAFC some optimism the final fee will be closer to the $20 million range.

Son also had an offer from Saudi Arabia but is prioritising Los Angeles after being sold on the football project. It is also understood LA's thriving South Korean community was a factor in his thinking.

Son is set to become one of the best paid players in MLS, potentially surpassing the $8.7m salary paid to current third-higher earner Sergio Busquets.

‘I Am Told’ - Tottenham Can Now Sign ‘Superstar’ Forward for Major Discount

Description

Tottenham Hotspur could look to reignite a move for a former transfer target in the coming months, according to reports - with one insider stating that Southampton would take £40million for Tyler Dibling to move to north London after a stellar breakthrough season on the south coast.

Spurs have already signed Mohammed Kudus from London rivals West Ham United in a £55million deal, but their keenness on signing another creative star remains. A move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White fell through after the Reds believed Spurs had made an 'illegal' approach for the England international, whilst other targets have been linked, but nothing has come to fruition yet.

Report: £40m Enough to Land Dibling, Tottenham Could Swoop

The youngster could be on his way out of St. Marys

With that in mind, former links to Dibling could reemerge. The 19-year-old made five appearances for the Saints in their Championship promotion campaign in 2023/24 under Russell Martin, making his debut almost two years ago - but it was his breakthrough campaign in the Premier League last time out that really got clubs moving over a potential deal for his signature.

However, their relegation to the Championship means that he is now on the shortlist of some top Premier League teams - and with that in mind, Tottenham could make their move. Journalist Graeme Bailey has stated that the Saints have lowered their asking price for his signature and now £40million could be enough to lure him to north London in what would be a major discount from an initial £100m payment. He said, on EFL Analysis:

“Southampton once asked for £100million, but I am told that £40million will get the deal done."

Everton have made a move for the youngster, seeing a £27million bid rejected earlier in the week, meaning that a saga surrounding his future could be ready to ramp up in the coming weeks.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Tyler Dibling has 32 youth caps for England, scoring five goals.

Tottenham could enter the race to see David Moyes' efforts hijacked, especially with the club focusing on young talents in the past such as Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and more.

Description

Tottenham are considering a summer move for Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, according to Dutch reports.

The Europa League winners are reportedly tracking the Netherlands international’s situation closely, as Van Hecke is looking to depart the Amex before the transfer window shuts on 1 September.

The 25-year-old defender’s contract with Brighton expires in less than two years, and Van Hecke is believed to have ‘closed the door’ on any potential talks over an extension.

While Brighton are ‘desperate’ to prolong his stay on the south coast, his reluctance to renew has put multiple Premier League clubs on alert—including Newcastle, who have made an enquiry this week.

Tottenham Considering Jan Paul van Hecke

According to Dutch outlet VI, Brighton even wanted to make Van Hecke their highest-paid player ever, but the 25-year-old defender is not interested and has set his sights on a departure.

Van Hecke reportedly dreams of playing in the Champions League and has interest from several top clubs, with Tottenham among those tracking him.

Van Hecke joined Brighton from Dutch side NAC Breda in 2020 but only emerged as a regular starter in 2023/24, after spending several seasons out on loan.

The 'incredible' 25-year-old made 34 league appearances for Brighton last term and scored his first goal for the club in a 2-1 win over Fulham.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Van Hecke has won five caps for the Netherlands to date.

Tottenham are now closing in on their sixth summer signing, as Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha is set to join on a season-long loan.

The Portugal international will see his salary covered in full by Spurs, who will also have a €30million option to make the deal permanent next summer.

After Palhinha: Fabrizio Romano Drops Update on Tottenham Move to Sign £76m Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in serious danger of missing out on long-term target Randal Kolo Muani as the Paris Saint-Germain star's preference is to return to Serie A heavyweights Juventus instead of heading to Hotspur Way, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed in his latest GIVEMESPORT newsletter.

Spurs have moved to within touching distance of adding Joao Palhinha to their squad as the Bayern Munich midfielder is preparing to undergo medical tests ahead of completing an initial loan switch which includes a £26million option to buy, but head coach Thomas Frank is in the market for further reinforcements.

Spurs Not Kolo Muani's Preferred Destination

Striker has been on north Londoners' radar for a prolonged period

Tottenham have reignited their pursuit of Kolo Muani, according to French media outlet Foot Mercato, and they are in a position to hand PSG an opportunity to get him off their books when Juventus have been struggling to seal his return following a productive loan spell in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 26-year-old striker has been unable to make his mark at the Parc des Princes since last term's Champions League winners agreed a deal worth in the region of £76million to lure him away from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023, resulting in admirers sniffing an opportunity to pounce ahead of the transfer deadline.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Randal Kolo Muani averaged a Serie A goal every 146 minutes during his temporary spell with Juventus

But Romano exclusively revealed in the newsletter he sent to GMS subscribers on Friday morning that Kolo Muani, who has been described as 'explosive', will only entertain embarking on a fresh challenge at Tottenham if a move back to Juventus falls through. The Italian journalist said:

"Kolo Muani has been appreciated by Tottenham since last January, but his priority is Juventus. He'd only consider other clubs if the Juventus deal collapses but, as of today, it is still on."

France international Kolo Muani still has three years remaining on his PSG contract, which allows him to pocket more than £210,000-per-week when bonuses are triggered, but it has been made clear that he is not involved in boss Luis Enrique's plans for the upcoming season and that has given Frank hope of attracting him to Tottenham.

‘Here We Go’ - Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham Agree Deal to Sign ‘World-Class’ Star

‘Here We Go’ - Fabrizio Romano: Tottenham Agree Deal to Sign ‘World-Class’ Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are set to add further to their squad after the signing of West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus, according to Fabrizio Romano - with a loan move being in place to land 'world-class' star Joao Palhinha to improve their ranks in midfield.

Spurs have already signed Kudus in a major £55million deal after two strong years at the London Stadium, whilst permanent deals have been confirmed for last season's loan duo Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso, marking a major outlay from owner Daniel Levy as he looks to bolster his squad in the coming weeks.

Romano: Palhinha to Tottenham is 'Here We Go', Medical Booked

The Portuguese star is set for a Premier League return after a year

However, despite missing out on Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, there are other areas of the squad that Spurs need to improve in - and defensive midfield has been added to, with Palhinha on his way for a medical in north London.

The report by Romano on X (formerly Twitter) states that Palhinha's move to Tottenham is all but complete, with the esteemed journalist giving it his 'Here We Go!' treatment as a deal moves closer to completion.

A final 'green light' has been given by Bayern Munich, who only signed him from Fulham last season, with a deal including a £25.5million buy option, although that is not mandatory for the Lilywhites.

The Portugal international will have his salary covered by Spurs, with Bayern accepting the conditions of a deal - and Palhinha will travel for medical tests before joining the north London outfit.

Tottenham have been in the market for a new holding midfielder for some time, and Palhinha joining on loan offers new boss Thomas Frank a star who has international, continental and Premier League experience, as well as history of winning trophies, taking home the Bundesliga last season as well as the Nations League with Portugal, alongside four major honours in his home nation.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Joao Palhinha has 34 caps for Portugal, scoring two goals.

The tough tackler will move into Frank's XI as Tottenham aim to massively improve their 17th-place finish in the top-flight from last season under Ange Postecoglou, their worst-ever placing in the Premier League - one that was only salvaged by their Europa League win, placing them in the Champions League after ending their 17-year drought for a trophy.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are now on the verge of signing Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg.

Tottenham have been relatively quiet in the summer transfer window so far, with Mohammed Kudus the only senior addition, joining the club from West Ham United. Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel have also signed permanent deals with Spurs, but both players spent last season on loan at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Up next for Spurs appears to be adding bodies in the middle of the park. The capital club have entered a new era after Thomas Frank was appointed as manager, joining the club from Brentford, while they are also preparing for the return of Champions League football after qualifying last season.

Sky Sports: Palhinha 'On the Verge' of Joining Tottenham

A deal is almost complete

Reporting on X, Sky Sports reporter Plettenberg has confirmed that Tottenham are now on the verge of completing the signing of Bayern Munich midfielder Palhinha. Only the final details remain between the former Fulham man and Spurs, with an agreement between the two clubs almost complete.

Palhinha, described as 'world-class' by journalist Dom Smith, looks set to join Thomas Frank's side on an initial loan deal, which could be a smart move for the north London club. The Portuguese international is now 30 years old, so investing a significant sum on him won't make sense from a financial perspective, but he's a player capable of making an immediate impact in the short term.
