Description

Tottenham are preparing to accelerate their late-window business, with reports suggesting the club wants to push through a deal this week after making a promise to new boss Thomas Frank.

Tottenham Hotspur’s backline has looked composed in the opening two matches of the season, with the North London club boasting consecutive clean sheets.

At the centre of those strong showings have been Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, while Djed Spence and Pedro Porro have provided energy and width down the flanks.

However, Spurs may soon face a test of their defensive depth, with Luka Vuskovic attracting interest from Bundesliga side Hamburg, who are exploring the possibility of a loan move for the highly rated youngster.

Tottenham set to move for new defender under Thomas Frank

GIVEMESPORT now reports that Tottenham are working on bringing in another defender before the transfer deadline, as they look to strengthen their defensive options.

It is understood that Thomas Frank has been assured by senior figures at Hotspur Way that the squad would be reinforced at the back, with the club making defensive recruitment a late-window priority.

It is claimed that despite opening their Premier League campaign with back-to-back clean sheets, Spurs remain intent on adding further depth to the squad, and there is a growing expectation that a new signing could be welcomed to North London in the coming days.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie has been a name linked with Spurs for several months, with reports earlier today claiming that Tottenham had lodged a loan bid for the Ecuador international.

However, those suggestions were quickly played down by insider Alasdair Gold, who revealed that Hincapie is not currently viewed as a target by the club hierarchy.

Description

Tottenham’s long-awaited third kit for the 2025/26 campaign has finally dropped – here is everything you need to know about the bold design.

Tottenham Hotspur released their 25/26 home kit and away kits ahead of the new season, and both have been met with different reactions from fans.

The Tottenham all black away kit has been met with much love by fans, with many rating it a solid nine out of ten, while the home kit has been met with mixed reactions, as not many supporters are fans of the new design.

A third kit has been very much anticipated this summer, with rumours teasing what it is set to look like when it is officially unveiled.

Tottenham unveil bold yellow third kit for 2025/26 season

Tottenham Hotspur have now officially released their third strip on their official web store which has been inspired by Nike’s Total 90, 21 years after its debut.

The third kit has now been unveiled in full, and it arrives in vibrant fashion with a bold yellow base, accompanied by navy sleeves and subtle blue accents that run through the trim and collar.

It features the classic Spurs crest, stitched in navy to match the detailing, and the colourway offers a modern take on the club’s 2020/21 design, but with a sharper contrast and a more dynamic finish.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The kit, just like the home and away strip, is once again produced by Nike, as Tottenham continue their long-term partnership with the American sportswear giants, a deal which runs until 2033.

AIA maintain its position as the club’s main shirt sponsor, having featured on the front since 2014, while Kraken remain as the official sleeve sponsor under their multi-year agreement.

At present, the kit is only available via the club’s official online store and physical shop along with Nike’s retail offering, with a limited exclusivity period before it is released to wider retail. The standard edition is priced at £85, while the elite version will cost £125.

Tottenham and Galatasaray disagree on one aspect of Yves Bissouma transfer

Tottenham and Galatasaray disagree on one aspect of Yves Bissouma transfer - Spurs Web
Description

A Turkish journalist has revealed that Yves Bissouma has given the green light to join Galatasaray, but there is one factor holding up his Tottenham exit.

With Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Sarr, Lucas Bergvall, and Archie Gray ahead of Bissouma in the pecking order, the Mali international does not appear to have a future at Tottenham under Thomas Frank.

According to reports, Spurs are working hard to sell Bissouma and two other players before the transfer window closes.

Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have been credited with an interest in Bissouma, but it has been widely reported that the Spurs midfielder would prefer to remain in the Premier League.

Galatasaray and Tottenham disagree on a key detail in Yves Bissouma’s transfer

Journalist Ali Naci Kucuk has now said that the 28-year-old has signalled a willingness to move to Rams Park this summer.

However, he revealed that Galatasaray want to sign the former Brighton man on loan, while Tottenham are insisting on a permanent sale.

Kucuk told Futbol Arena: “Galatasaray management clearly decided that a midfielder would be a good option, so as not to be left out of the woodwork later in the season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“This was discussed with coach Okan. Now, Galatasaray wants to bring in a player on loan in that area. Because, as I said, they’ll be allocating their transfer budget to centre-backs next year and also spending on goalkeepers, so they want to loan a midfielder.

“At this point, Galatasaray’s primary target is Bissouma; the player is ready to come to Turkey. Tottenham is ready to let him out of his contract. But the only disagreement here is that Tottenham want to sell. Galatasaray want to loan him for a transfer fee. If Galatasaray manages to convince the English club at that point, they will sign him.”

A loan move for Bissouma is not on the cards

The midfielder is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham, and the only way it would make sense for Spurs to loan him out is if he signs a one-year extension to his deal.

A permanent deal thus appears more likely, with reports indicating that West Ham and Leeds United have shown an interest in Bissouma.

Tottenham face Aston Villa competition in late move for Premier League playmaker - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to an experienced Premier League playmaker, but they are now facing competition from Aston Villa.

Regular readers of Spurs Web will be aware that a whole host of attacking midfielders have been linked with Tottenham since Eberechi Eze snubbed the Lilywhites in favour of a move to their local rivals.

It appears that Spurs may have to move on from Nico Paz, who has now allegedly rejected the North London club’s offer and decided to stay put at Como.

According to reports, Real Madrid played a big role in stopping Paz from going to Tottenham, who may now be set to raid their London rivals once again this summer.

Tottenham face competition for Lucas Paqueta

Spurs raided West Ham for Mohammed Kudus earlier this summer, and it emerged a couple of days ago that Tottenham could now try to secure Lucas Paqueta from the London Stadium.

Tottenham’s interest in the Brazil international has now been backed up The Daily Mail, who confirm that the 27-year-old is indeed on the radar of Thomas Frank’s side.

However, the outlet suggests Spurs may not have a free run at Paqueta, who is also attracting interest from European hopefuls Aston Villa.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The former Lyon man has now been cleared of the spot-fixing allegations that had hung over him for nearly a year.

Could Aston Villa’s interest in Paqueta be good news for Spurs?

It has been widely reported over the last few days that Tottenham may make an audacious late move for Villa star Morgan Rogers.

According to various sources, Spurs would have to pay well in excess of £80m to land Rogers, which would comfortably beat the North London club’s club-record transfer fee.

The fact that Villa are showing an interest in Paqueta may potentially offer Tottenham hope that the Midlands club could be open to cashing in on the England international if they receive a huge offer.

Daniel Levy tipped to pull out of race for Tottenham’s top target to cap off miserable window

Daniel Levy tipped to pull out of race for Tottenham’s top target to cap off miserable window - Spurs Web
Description

Joe Cole has given his opinion on how Daniel Levy will respond to Tottenham’s win at the Etihad Stadium and whether we can expect Spurs to make any late moves in the transfer window.

Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Manchester City was much needed to change the feeling of doom and gloom surrounding the fan base after Arsenal hijacked Spurs’ move for Eberechi Eze last week.

In fact, Tottenham fans were chanting for Daniel Levy to leave at the Etihad Stadium, with many feeling that the Spurs chairman is about to let down another new manager.

Thomas Frank has insisted that the Tottenham hierarchy are continuing to work on new signings, but Joe Cole is not too sure if the Dane will get any more top-class players before the September 1 deadline.

Joe Cole does not expect Tottenham to make any big signings

Reports indicate that Tottenham are still looking to sign a number ten, a winger and a centre-back before the window slams shut.

However, Cole believes that Levy will see the win over City as evidence that the squad is in a good place and will decide against making another big-money acquisition like Savinho this summer.

When asked if he expects Tottenham Hotspur to do much business before the deadline, the former Chelsea man told TNT Sports (23/08/25): “I can’t see there being much, much more happening. I think Daniel Levy is in a great position. He hasn’t spent a lot of money, but he seems to have got two great results with the squad moving.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“After today, I think the Savinho deal is less likely. It could possibly happen, but it depends – because we don’t know what’s happening with Financial Fair Play.

“I don’t think he’ll go and get someone who’s already of age and ready to go. I think there’ll be a few young players coming in to bolster the squad.

“We also don’t know the needs of certain buying and selling clubs in terms of what they have to do. But as you can see there, Daniel Levy will be saying, ‘I’m pretty set with what I’ve got, maybe just one young player’.”

Tottenham need at least two more signings

Various reliable sources, including Alasdair Gold, have revealed that Tottenham are prioritising signing an attacking midfielder and a winger before the transfer deadline.

That is the bare minimum that Spurs fans will expect, and the supporters will be extremely angry if those two signings are delivered.

Five Tottenham players who must be shown the door before the transfer window closes

Five Tottenham players who must be shown the door before the transfer window closes - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have not done a great job signing new players and getting rid of unused squad players is also proving to be a problem.

With each passing day, the end of the summer transfer window looms, yet Tottenham Hotspur do not appear to be acting with much urgency. The Tottenham first-team squad has enough quality to have delivered for Thomas Frank up to this point, but a couple more signings seem necessary if Spurs are to keep up this positive form.

However, bringing new players to the club only decreases the opportunities some fringe players could be given. Even without any further signings, there are players who may never get another game and need to be offloaded before the end of the month.

Here are five players who Tottenham must move on as soon as possible, whether that is on a season-long loan move or a permanent sale.

Bryan Gil has never established himself at Tottenham

Tottenham supporters were eager to see Timo Werner sent back to RB Leipzig after his poor second loan spell, and the club eventually made the correct decision. However, even Werner was a better left winger for Spurs than Bryan Gil.

Three loan spells in Spain and there have been no signs that Gil will come good. He is now 24 years old and only has two years remaining on his contract. If Tottenham are to get a deal worth anywhere near what they paid for Gil, a sale needs to happen now. Although if truth be told, no club is likely to pay good money for him.

Dane Scarlett will only get game time with another loan move

Will Lankshear looks to have moved ahead of Dane Scarlett in the Tottenham pecking order. Indeed, while Lankshear scored against Reading in pre-season, Scarlett was only afforded 13 minutes in just one friendly fixture.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Considering Lankshear joined Oxford United on loan earlier in the month, it is hard to see what chance Scarlett has of ever making the Tottenham first-team. He could be handed a start in the Carabao Cup depending on their draw, but he would be nothing more than a backup in case of injuries.

Spurs already have Richarlison and Dominic Solanke, while Mathys Tel could play as a striker if required. Therefore, another loan move to the Championship could be good for Scarlett, before a decision is made on his future next summer.

Yves Bissouma’s Tottenham fate already looks to have been sealed

Disciplinary action has been followed by an injury, and surely that will conclude the Spurs career of Yves Bissouma. Tottenham already appear to have found his replacement in Palhinha and the midfield is the area of the team with the most depth.

There is already a much younger defensive midfield option in Archie Gray, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Lucas Bergvall and Pape Matar Sarr have all made good starts to the season.

The only reason to keep Bissouma is if he is going to be offered a new contract, but with the current circumstances considered, getting some money for him seems like the best call.

Manor Solomon also needs to be moved on by Tottenham

It would be the most Tottenham move ever to lose out on Savinho and keep Manor Solomon, a player who might then be described as like a new signing. However, the former Fulham loanee is too injury-prone and has not made an appearance for the club in more than a year.

Solomon did have a positive loan spell at Leeds United last season, but there is a big difference between the Championship and the Premier League. The sensible option for Spurs is to sign a new left winger, use Tel as a young backup option and cash in on Solomon.

Of course, there is still a possibility that Solomon comes good and has a shocking break into the first-team. However, he has already missed the entirety of pre-season and would have a better chance of making regular starts at a team in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Luka Vuskovic must be given match time away from Spurs

Tottenham have already signed one new centre-back this season and if the latest rumours are to be believed, Spurs want to sign Piero Hincapie. If that move goes through, it seems highly unlikely that Vuskovic will receive many first-team opportunities this season.

It is a shame, as many supporters were excited to see the defender in action. He played well when given the opportunity in pre-season, showing how he is capable not just of defending, but causing problems in front of goal.

However, he is yet to get a real taste of English football and a loan move in the Championship, or to another team in the top flight, would be a fantastic experience for Vuskovic to understand what it will take to make it as a Tottenham player. He is only 18 and will have plenty of time further down the line to impress at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

West Ham weigh up move for £22m Tottenham midfielder amid Lucas Paqueta links

West Ham weigh up move for £22m Tottenham midfielder amid Lucas Paqueta links - Spurs Web
Description

West Ham are suddenly eyeing a move for a Tottenham midfielder valued at £22m, after Thomas Frank made the player available ahead of deadline day.

Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed the perfect start to the new Premier League season, with the Lilywhites grabbing two wins from their opening two fixtures.

However, the same could not be said of their London rivals, West Ham United, who have suffered two defeats in their opening matches, while also conceding a whopping eight goals in the process.

Spurs and West Ham put their differences aside earlier this summer, following the £55m transfer of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham to Tottenham.

West Ham United consider move for Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma

TBR Football are now reporting that Tottenham and West Ham United could once more be doing business before the close of the summer transfer window.

According to the publication, it is understood that Tottenham Hotspur are working hard to move Yves Bissouma this summer, and West Ham United have now emerged as a possible destination.

It is claimed that Tottenham could make Bissouma available on loan, and West Ham United are open to taking him if that turns out to be the case. This comes after the Hammers lost Edson Alvarez, with the midfielder completing his switch to Fenerbahce.

MORE SPURS STORIES

It is further believed that Graham Potter wants to add to his midfield options before the window slams shut, and Bissouma is firmly on the list, given the two already worked together at Brighton.

Tottenham are said to be looking for around £22m for Bissouma this summer. Interestingly, Spurs have also been linked with a move for West Ham midfielder, Lucas Paqueta.

Bissouma could have played final game in Spurs shirt

Yves Bissouma is yet to kick a ball for Tottenham this season as he missed out on the UEFA Super Cup final, due to disciplinary reasons, which saw Thomas Frank leave him out of his squad entirely.

The Malian is still out nursing an injury picked up in training ahead of Spurs’ opening Premier League tie against Burnley, which has delayed his return further.

There is currently no fixed timeline on when Bissouma will be back to full fitness, and if a deal is struck before the deadline, the midfielder may well have played his final game in a Tottenham shirt.

Daniel Levy personally launches Tottenham interest in £30m creative midfielder - Spurs Web
Description

Daniel Levy has stepped back into the transfer spotlight, with Tottenham moving to rival Crystal Palace for a midfielder who could well be the club’s last big push of the summer window.

It has been a frustrating last few weeks for Tottenham Hotspur in the transfer market, with the club facing rejection after rejection in their chase for a creative number ten.

The North London side looked set to have landed their preferred attacking midfielder target earlier in the window, after reports suggested Spurs had triggered Morgan Gibbs White’s £60m release clause and even scheduled a medical for the player.

That move collapsed soon after, with Gibbs White committing his future to Nottingham Forest instead. Eberechi Eze was another name on the table and looked destined for Tottenham, but Arsenal swooped in and secured the Englishman, leaving Spurs scrambling as the transfer deadline approaches.

Tottenham set to rival Crystal Palace for Bilal El Khannouss

A report from Foot Africa now states that Tottenham have entered the race to sign Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.

Crystal Palace have had the Moroccan international firmly on their radar and viewed him as the ideal replacement for Eberechi Eze, but it is now being suggested that Spurs could gazump their London rivals for his signature.

Sources said to be ‘very close’ to the player claim Tottenham’s approach has come directly from Daniel Levy, who is personally driving the attempt to land El Khannouss.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The 21-year-old is understood to have already reached an agreement in principle with Palace, with Leicester holding discussions over a fee of around €35m (£29.5m).

El Khannouss impressing as Spurs weigh up move

Tottenham have not yet lodged a formal bid for El Khannouss, which makes the situation one to watch closely in the final stretch of the window.

The Leicester City man has enjoyed a bright start to life in the Championship, registering two assists in his first two games of the season, and his performances have only strengthened the interest surrounding him.

How much West Ham would charge Tottenham to agree late Lucas Paqueta deal - Spurs Web
Description

West Ham are prepared to consider serious offers for Lucas Paqueta, with Tottenham keeping a close eye on developments as they look to strengthen their midfield before the summer window closes.

Thomas Frank’s side has coped admirably so far this season without a recognised number ten in the Tottenham Hotspur line-up, with Frank having to rely on makeshift options so far this campaign.

Two victories from their opening matches are certainly an encouraging sign for the Dane, yet Tottenham remain firmly in the market for a new creative midfielder.

The Lilywhites appeared to have tested the waters yesterday with a bid for Nico Paz, but their £60million offer was swiftly rejected by Como, sending Spurs back to the drawing board with only a few days left of the summer window.

Tottenham monitoring Lucas Paqueta situation at West Ham

Lucas Paqueta is a name that has been linked with Tottenham, with reports suggesting that Spurs have shown interest in the midfielder.

GIVEMESPORT have now provided an update on the Brazilian, revealing that West Ham are open to letting the attacking midfielder leave this summer, but only if the right offer arrives.

While Paqueta could indeed be sold, it is understood that West Ham values him at around £60million. It has also been revealed that the player himself has not indicated that he is desperate to push for a move or embark on a new challenge.

MORE SPURS STORIES

However, there remains a possibility of a deal if the Hammers see an opportunity to reinvest and strengthen other areas of their squad.

Spurs could push for Paqueta after Nico Paz rejection

The West Ham midfielder opened his Premier League account in matchweek two with a stunning strike against Chelsea.

Tottenham and West Ham have already conducted business this summer, with Mohammed Kudus making the switch from the London Stadium to N17, and the Ghana international has already settled well into life at Spurs.

Tottenham have demonstrated that they possess the funds required to pursue Paqueta, given that their £60million bid for Nico Paz was turned down earlier this week.

Spurs fans have also been vocal about their ideal alternative following the latest setback with Nico Paz, with many fans naming Paqueta as their preferred number ten target.

Tottenham’s move for Savinho depends on one factor as they send message to Man City - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have reiterated their willingness to break the bank for Savinho, and the club’s pursuit of the Man City star now depends on just one factor.

Last week, it looked like Tottenham’s pursuit of the Brazilian may have been dead as reports indicated that Man City had no intention of selling Savinho.

However, the speculation linking the winger with a move to N17 has once again gathered momentum since Tottenham Hotspur and City played each other on Saturday.

It emerged on Sunday that Spurs are willing to bid upwards of €70m (£60.6m) for Savinho, and are prepared to try until the very end to get the deal over the line.

Fabrizio Romano has now claimed on his YouTube channel that Spurs reaffirmed to Man City today that they are willing to pay over £60m for the 21-year-old.

He says that Tottenham ‘will push’ for Savinho in the final week of the transfer window and adds that the ‘deal is absolutely on’.

However, the journalist explains that at this stage, the deal completely depends on whether Man City can find a replacement for Savinho.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Romano adds that Pep Guardiola wants to replace the former Girona man with Rodrygo, but signing the Real Madrid star will not be easy for City, given the winger’s wage demands and Los Blancos’ asking price.

Spurs believe that a deal for Savinho is possible

It was explained by Greame Bailey over the weekend that Tottenham feel that the deal for Savinho is doable before the window slams shut.

It has been widely reported over the last few weeks that Thomas Frank is a big fan of Savinho and sees him as the perfect fit for his set-up.
