Description

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust have made it clear that they expect Daniel Levy and Co to invest significantly in the squad following the club’s Europa League win.

Tottenham were on a pretty shaky financial ground heading into the summer, but things have changed completely following the club’s Europa League success.

Spurs are in line for a huge financial boost after securing Champions League qualification, thus putting them in a strong position to reinforce the squad this summer.

According to reports over recent days, Tottenham plan on flexing their financial muscle in the upcoming transfer window ahead of their return to Europe’s premier club competition next season.

THST demand robust investment into Tottenham squad

THST have now released its end-of-season statement, which includes details on what went well with their dealings with the club and what did not over the course of the 2024-25 campaign.

According to Football.London, the Trust have listed seven areas which can be improved upon, with the most important being the call for “more robust investment in transfers and wages needed to fully support the manager and compete on all fronts.”

Whether Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy listens to their demands and opens his purse strings this summer remains to be seen.

MORE SPURS STORIES

THST also had another important message to the chairman and the club’s hierarchy, highlighting the need for greater leadership communication.

Their statement said: “The manager should not be the sole club spokesperson – greater visibility and support from senior figures are essential”.

THST praise the club for getting three things right this season

The Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust also credited the club on three key areas where the fans’ concerns were listened to and acted upon this season.

The first was regarding consultation and pricing, which included regular consultation with the Trust leading to a freeze on season and matchday ticket prices.

THST were also pleased with the club’s move to ensure ticket integrity by targeting misuse of resale sites for key games.

Ange Postecoglou’s Europa League final pre-match speech will give you goosebumps - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have released Ange Postecoglou’s address to the Spurs squad ahead of the Europa League final, and the Australian words are sure to make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

The Spurs boss delivered on his promise of delivering silverware in his second season and the Australian will go down as a Tottenham hero no matter what happens regarding his future.

Ange Postcoglou admitted that he has been overwhelmed by the reaction since his Europa League success, and he can be proud of the fact that he managed to achieve something that the likes of Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino failed to do.

It has emerged that Postecoglou gathered video messages from the players’ families, which were then shown in the team hotel before the final, and footage has now emerged of the 59-year-old addressing the squad before the clash at San Mames.

Ange Postecoglou’s inspiring message to the Tottenham players before the Europa League final

The Tottenham boss is skilled at delivering pre-match speeches that inspire the squad and he chose to give a rather simple message ahead of the clash in Bilbao.

Ange Postecoglou was calm rather than animated, but his words were extremely powerful, with the Australian instilling belief in the Spurs players that the trophy is theirs.

He said (via Tottenham’s official channel): “They (Man United) can’t stop us, they can’t stop us. What we have cannot be stopped. At the end of the game, when he’s lifting that trophy (pointing at Son) you’re going to make all of those people prouder than they have ever been in their life. Let’s go boys.”

Tottenham increasingly confident of signing Leroy Sane despite Bayern talks - Spurs Web
Description

Just mere hours after it was suggested that Bayern Munich are making progress in their efforts to sign Leroy Sane, Tottenham Hotspur have now been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of the winger, with the situation developing rapidly.

Spurs fans would have been excited when the rumours first emerged earlier this week that Tottenham were looking to land Sane on a free transfer after his contract with Bayern ran out.

Several outlets claimed over recent days that Spurs are showing the most concrete interest in Sane, but the situation appeared to have changed this morning.

It was reported a few hours ago by Florian Plettenberg that the talks regarding a new deal between Sane and Bayern had been positive, with the Bundesliga giants keen to tie down the 29-year-old, but there has now been another twist in the transfer saga.

Daniel Levy working hard to sign Leroy Sane for Tottenham

A new update from FC Bayern Insider has claimed that Spurs are now growing increasingly confident of landing the former Manchester City man on a free transfer.

The report says that while Arsenal and Chelsea are also on Sane’s trail, it is Tottenham who are at the front of the queue to land the 29-year-old at this moment.

Even though Bayern have offered the winger an improved contract after their initial offer was turned down, the winger could still decide to move to London to stay close to his family, who reside in the English capital.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The outlet points out that Daniel Levy is a good friend of Sane’s agent, Pini Zahavi, and the Spurs chairman is the one ‘pulling the strings’ to take the German to N17.

As things stand, it is asserted that Levy and Spurs are in a ‘strong negotiating position’ to land Sane – who has 51 Bundesliga goals in his career – on a free transfer.

Sane is faced with a big choice – Bundesliga or Premier League?

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna has also talked up Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in the Bayern winger, but he is far more reserved in his assertions about the North London club’s chance of clinching a deal.

He says that while Spurs are the most serious candidates to sign Sane, the winger is yet to make a final decision on his future.

After Bayer made an improved offer to the 29-year-old, he now faces a big decision, having to choose between remaining at the Allianz Arena and moving to the Premier League.

Aouna adds that offers from Turkey and the Saudi Pro League are also on the table for Sane.

Tottenham learn Simone Inzaghi stance amid Fabio Paratici rumours - Spurs Web
Description

Sources in Italy have now shared what they are hearing about Simone Inzaghi after fresh Tottenham Hotspur links ahead of Fabio Paratici’s return to N17.

Indeed, Ange Postecoglou would be hoping his recent Europa League win would be enough to keep him at the Tottenham Hotspur dugout for at least one more season.

But a recent report suggests that Spurs could still sack Ange Postecoglou despite the manager’s recent success in Europe and his enjoying the support of the Tottenham players.

It is stated that it would take a big shift if the Australian is to remain manager at Hotspur Way, with the Tottenham higher-ups seeing it as a huge risk to continue with the 59-year-old.

Simone Inzaghi expected to stay despite Tottenham interest

One name has been floated around to potentially take over from Postecoglou and it is Simone Inzaghi, the current head coach of Inter Milan.

The Italian has enjoyed huge success as a manager, winning nine major honours during his spells at Inter and Lazio. With Fabio Paratici expected to return as sporting director at Tottenham, it is being reported that he is pushing for Inzaghi to take charge at Spurs.

A fresh update has now revealed what sources in Italy are now saying about Simone Inzaghi leaving Inter after Tottenham links. It has been stated that the Italian manager is likely to remain in Italy for at least one more season despite Spurs’ interest.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Barclay told The Tottenham Way podcast: “Simone Inzaghi is a sort of new one. Obviously, the Paratici link is understandable with an Italian and one who is doing so well as that.

“The last time I spoke to quite a lot of counterparts in the Italian press, they seemed to be under the impression that he would be staying no matter what at Inter Milan next season.

“You could make the case that if he loses, he might be even more likely to stay because he wants to go and finish the job, I suppose. But I do not know.”

Simone Inzaghi’s future may rest on Champions League outcome

Inter Milan are UEFA Champions League finalists, and it is expected that after the UCL final, Inzaghi will speak with the higher-ups about his future.

That is according to Inter journalist Fabrizio Biasin, who has also stated that his gut feeling is that Inzaghi will remain with the Nerazzurri for at least one more season.

When asked how he expects the Inter boss’s future to pan out, he said: “After the Champions League final, he will meet with Inter to find an agreement to continue together.

“To talk about normal things like contract, market and so on. If they find an agreement, we will move forward together. My feeling is that he will remain the coach of Inter.”

Tottenham find out how much Southampton want for Tyler Dibling after relegation - Spurs Web
Description

Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Tyler Dibling is expected to be anything but straightforward as a new report sheds light on the intensifying competition for the winger and how much Southampton are demanding from their starlet.

It has been widely reported over the last few months that Tottenham have entered into talks with Tyler Dibling, who has been identified as one of their top targets.

Some sources had previously even alleged that Spurs were at the front of the queue to land Dibling and were optimistic about landing him for a discounted price.

However, the situation appears to have changed since then, with Tottenham now expected to face a lot of competition for Dibling this summer.

How much are Southampton demanding for Dibling?

Sky Sports have revealed on their live transfer blog that the Saints have to sell the 19-year-old this summer after their relegation from the Premier League.

However, that does not mean that they are willing to accept a cut-price fee, with the South Coast club thought to be demanding around £55m for the teenager.

To make matters even more complicated, the report says that Aston Villa, Chelsea and RB Leipzig are also monitoring Dibling closely and could offer competition to the Lilywhites.

MORE SPURS STORIES

How much are Tottenham willing to pay for Tyler Dibling?

There could be even more competition for the Southampton man this summer, with some sources claiming that Man United are determined to beat Tottenham to Dibling this summer.

It thus looks like Spurs have a lot of work to do to land the teenager, but according to TEAMtalk, the North Londoners do not want to break the bank for the winger.

Six Tottenham summer transfer targets revealed, including Eberechi Eze - Spurs Web
Description

A fresh report has shed light on the six players in Tottenham’s sights, including a couple of alternatives if the club’s top targets are not gettable as the Lilywhites prepare for a busy summer.

Over recent weeks, reports have indicated that Tottenham will prioritise adding proven top-class experience to their squad this summer.

With the club’s coffers set to be boosted after their qualification for the Champions League, some outlets have backed Spurs to make some ambitious moves to signal their intent ahead of the 2025-26 season.

A new report has named six deals that Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing at the moment, with the names clearly suggesting what direction the club want to go in.

Tottenham’s plans for defensive and midfield reinforcements

The Daily Mail say that Angel Gomes, who is out of contract at Lille, is someone Tottenham like and the club see him as a good fit if they are going to continue playing a similar style of football next season.

The Englishman’s ability to play from a deep midfield role is seen as a huge plus for the North Londoners.

Marc Guehi is named as the primary option Tottenham are eyeing for their backline but the outlet questions if the Lilywhites would be prepared to go toe-to-toe with Newcastle for the centre-back and shell out around £65m-£70m, which is what the Eagles are expected to demand.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The report says that if Spurs are not able to land the Palace man, they could see Fikayo Tomori as a more affordable alternative, with the former Chelsea man expected to leave AC Milan this summer.

Who are Spurs looking at in attack?

The Mail say that Tyler Dibling remains firmly in Tottenham’s sights, with Ange Postecoglou’s men expected to join the auction for the teenage forward, who they see as someone who can offer competition to the likes of Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski on the right.

It is pointed out that Spurs have a big decision to make on the future of Mathys Tel, with the club having a £47.5m option to buy the Frenchman permanently.

It is suggested that should Spurs choose against prioritising a move for Tel, they could use those funds towards a deal for a long-term target, Eberechi Eze.

Good news for Ange Postecoglou’s future as the tide is changing at Tottenham - Spurs Web
Description

A fresh update from Italy has suggested that, contrary to the reports we have seen over the last few days, it is far from certain that Ange Postecoglou will be sacked, with the mood around Tottenham changing over recent hours.

Over the past few days, various reports have indicated that the expectation in Hotspur Way is for Postecoglou to be sacked, although the Australian is continuing to hope that Daniel Levy has a change of heart.

The Independent’s Miguel Delaney even asserted on Friday that the chances of Ange Postecoglou staying at Tottenham had diminished since last week, now standing at less than 5 per cent.

However, a fresh update from Italy has now suggested that the tide may be starting to shift in the Australian’s favour.

Tottenham’s stance on Ange Postecoglou has changed over recent hours

This report comes from Gianluca Di Marzio, who sheds light on Juventus’ pursuit of Marco Silva, claiming that the Fulham boss has emerged as the Bianconeri’s top target.

It is revealed that Silva has also spoken to Tottenham Hotspur about replacing Ange Postecoglou after ruling out a move to Saudi Arabia.

However, Di Marzio adds that over the last few hours, the chances of Postecoglou remaining in the Tottenham hot seat have grown.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Is Daniel Levy’s stance changing due to the sentiment of the Spurs squad?

Since the Lilywhites won the Europa League, several players have said that Postecoglou deserves a third season at Tottenham.

That might be playing into the Tottenham hierarchy’s thinking, particularly as sources indicate that Spurs may have a better chance of keeping Cristian Romero if Postecoglou stays.

Ian Wright says Tottenham man is a ‘lovely bloke’ after spending ‘a lot of time’ with him - Spurs Web
Description

Ian Wright has weighed in on Ange Postecoglou’s uncertain Tottenham future, backing the under-fire manager following a season of domestic turmoil and European glory.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have endured a mixed 2024/25 season, with the Lilywhites enduring a poor domestic campaign while enjoying success on the European stage.

Indeed, Tottenham are champions of Europe for the fourth time in their history after beating Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final, securing their first continental trophy since 1984.

Much of the credit has rightly gone to Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, who has restored a sense of belief and finally ended the club’s long-running trophy drought.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou receives praise from Ian Wright

However, it has been anything but smooth sailing, as Tottenham finished a dismal 17th in the Premier League, losing 22 of their 38 matches – the worst league finish in the club’s history.

Postecoglou’s future remains up in the air, with a decision on whether Postecoglou will continue at the helm expected in the coming weeks.

Now, former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has spoken out in support of the Tottenham boss, stating that he is a big admirer of Postecoglou as a person, particularly after working alongside him during Euro 2024 coverage for ITV Football.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The pair spent time together during the tournament, and Wright, speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, described Postecoglou as a “really lovely bloke” and expressed hope that the Australian will be given time to improve Tottenham’s fortunes in the Premier League next season.

“I was pleased for them. And you know, hopefully this is a springboard for Ange, simply because I worked with him in the Euros and he is a really lovely bloke,” Wright said.

“I spent a lot of time with him. And how he is and how you feel your perception of him is probably, he is just a normal bloke. He is just coaching, doing the best he can, just have a pint.”

Spurs weighing up managerial future amid Ange Postecoglou backing

Tottenham continue to be linked with various managerial options, with the club yet to decide on Postecoglou’s future.

Reports this week suggested that Brentford are concerned Tottenham could move for head coach Thomas Frank, should they choose to part ways with the Australian.

Several players inside the Tottenham dressing room have shown continued support for Postecoglou, but there is a feeling that Postecoglou could still be sacked regardless.

With the summer transfer window opening soon, Spurs must act quickly in resolving their managerial situation before pre-season preparations begin.

Postecoglou retains strong support from the fanbase, leaving chairman Daniel Levy wary of a potential backlash if he opts to dismiss the 59-year-old. A final decision is expected in the coming weeks and will be one to keep a close eye on.

Cristian Romero says Tottenham teammate is a ‘pain in the neck’ to play against

Cristian Romero says Tottenham teammate is a ‘pain in the neck’ to play against - Spurs Web
Description

Cristian Romero has named the one Tottenham teammate he thinks would be a nightmare to play against, with the player now linked with a move away from Tottenham.

Cristian Romero’s 2024/25 season has been a rollercoaster both on and off the pitch, a campaign filled with highs and lows that summed up Tottenham Hotspur’s year as a whole.

The Argentine centre-back endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury, missing over two months of action, and even after his return, there were moments where lapses in concentration crept into his game, costing Tottenham valuable points in the Premier League.

However, in Europe, the 27-year-old marshalled the Spurs backline superbly during Tottenham’s run to the UEFA Europa League title, keeping a clean sheet in the final, earning the player of the match honour and scooping the player of the tournament award. In doing so, he helped end the club’s 17-year wait for silverware.

Cristian Romero names Richarlison as a nightmare opponent

Away from the pitch, Cristian Romero recently made headlines for openly expressing his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur, as revealed in an interview with Gaston Edul – an admission that sparked fresh interest in the Argentine defender.

But this time, Romero’s media duties took a different turn. Instead of discussing his future, he was asked to name the toughest opponent he has ever faced.

Interestingly, Romero pointed to his Tottenham teammate Richarlison as one of the most difficult players to come up against.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Speaking to Edul, Romero said, “I think Richarlison is also another pain in the neck, but I know him well now. He is a character, but yes, in the national team, if I were to face him, he would be in pain.”

Tottenham’s Cristian Romero and Richarlison could clash again soon

Indeed, Cristian Romero and Richarlison are no strangers on the pitch, having gone head-to-head several times before linking up at Tottenham, with their battles dating back to Richarlison’s time at Everton, well before his 2022 move to north London.

On the international stage, the pair have also been involved in fierce encounters when Argentina take on Brazil – two sides with no shortage of rivalry.

Of course, the pair may find themselves on opposite sides again sooner rather than later, as it has been reported that Richarlison is considering his Tottenham future, with Everton said to be interested in re-signing Richarlison.

Tottenham told to ‘bite Man City’s hand off’ for £40m Jack Grealish deal - Spurs Web
Description

Jamie O’Hara is desperate for Tottenham Hotspur to sign a Manchester City star this summer, given the asking price being mooted for the player.

It was widely reported that Tottenham tried to sign Grealish in January, with the Lilywhites even thought to have spoken to the Man City star’s representatives over a move to N17.

Some sources have said that Spurs could try their luck again for Grealish in the summer, and they might have better luck this time as the England international has allegedly been deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium.

It has been claimed that Grealish would be sold for €45m-€50m (£38m-£43m) this summer as Pep Guardiola’s men continue rebuilding their squad.

Jamie O’Hara would love to have Jack Grealish at Tottenham

Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara were discussing the England international’s future on talkSPORT, and the former Chelsea man opined that the time has come for City to cash in on the 29-year-old.

The pundit suggested that Grealish can leave Manchester on a discount, and O’Hara insisted that he would bite your hand off to have the former Aston Villa man at Spurs.

Cundy said: “It’s [the rebuild] not just for this season, it’s for next and the season after that. So you’re talking another two or three seasons.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“If he is not part of that, they might as well cut ties now and say ‘Thanks move on’. They paid £100m for him, you could probably pick him up for £40 [million]? £45[million].

O’Hara responded: “I’d have him. £40million? I’d bite your hand off for that!”

How are Spurs placed in the race for Grealish?

It has been claimed by some sources that Spurs will face competition from Newcastle United and Aston Villa for Grealish this summer.

However, it appears that the Lilywhites are in the contest to win it, with CaughtOffside claiming recently that Tottenham are the most serious contenders for Grealish.
