Everton are showing an interest in Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
Everton saw their veteran midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye depart upon the expiry of his contract earlier this summer.
It seems David Moyes is still eager to replace Gueye’s qualities, despite the additions of Christian Norgaard and Hayden Hackney.
According to Afrik Foot, Everton are considering a move for Sarr, who is valued at around £21m by Tottenham.

Sarr has already won two major trophies
Sarr, who celebrates his 24th birthday next month, has already won two major trophies in his fledgling career.
In 2022, the Senegalese star was crowned AFCON champion, although he only made one appearance at the tournament.
Sarr played a much more pivotal role in Tottenham’s Europa League triumph last year, as he started the final against Manchester United.
Interestingly, Ange Postecoglou played him as an attacking midfielder in that particular game, deploying him as an aggressive ball winner high up the pitch.
Ange Postecoglou’s verdict of Sarr
Postecoglou was a huge admirer of Sarr during his stint as Tottenham manager and gave a glowing report of the Toffees target in 2024.
“Pape has a super energy about him,” the former Spurs boss explained.
“Every day he trains with a smile on his face but he works damn hard. I think he’s a really exciting footballer. He’s one of these midfielders you need these days, he’s very dynamic, he covers the ground really well, defensively and offensively.
“He gets into the box, he’s scored a couple of goals for us this year. His technical ability is strong and he’s a good ball carrier as well, and he’s still young.
“He’s another one who I feel there is so much more growth in, in all aspects. I just really like his general demeanour. He feels like he’s been blessed to have this opportunity and he’s going to do everything to make the most out of it.”
