Tottenham Hotspur have intensified their pursuit of Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

According to the latest report from Football Transfers, the North London club held another round of talks with the Portuguese attacker over personal terms.

The Portuguese international has been a long-term target for the club, with their interest going back to the January transfer window.

He has been one of Wolves’ standout performers since joining the club, scoring 14 and assisted 24 across all competitions.

Last season, Neto scored three goals and provided 11 assists in 24 appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup, despite being out for a total of four months due to a hamstring injury.

Tottenham’s transfer window so far

Tottenham’s transfer window has been relatively quiet so far. The club has not made any significant signings apart from securing the highly-rated midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds United.

Other than that, they have only extended Timo Werner’s loan deal for another year and signed a talent for the future in Min-hyuk Yang.

However, Tottenham supporters might be getting anxious with the club failing to sign a big-name out-and-out striker and another wide attacker, two positions that were considered priorities at the start of the summer, along with another midfielder.

With the new season just a few weeks away, fans will hope Spurs can move quickly to secure the signing of some of their targets, including Neto.

The club’s pursuit of Neto indicates their intent to strengthen the squad and add more attacking options. His addition could provide a significant boost to their attack as they prepare for the upcoming season.

His impressive rise hasn’t gone unnoticed and clubs from across Europe are keen on signing him. Manchester City and Manchester United have both been linked with the teenager. Manchester City full-back Yan Couto is not interested in joining Tottenham this summer.

Yan Couto was on fire for Girona last season and his performances surely didn’t go unnoticed. While he is back at his parent club Manchester City, the Brazilian full-back doesn’t seem to be a part of their plans moving ahead. With City ready to cash in on him, multiple top clubs seem willing to battle for his signature.

Tottenham are one of the clubs that have been linked with the 22-year-old but according to Sport BILD via SportWitness, Couto has rejected the opportunity to join the North London club. He prefers making the move to Borussia Dortmund knowing there is an opportunity to establish himself in their first team as they do not have much depth at right-back.

Couto was one of the standout performers for Girona last season as he helped them secure a top-four finish in La Liga. Following his impressive performances, Spurs seem interested in the 22-year-old who will only get better with time. But, they already have enough quality options at right-back.

Pedro Porro is the preferred right-back option and they have recently added Archie Gray to their squad, someone who can feature in midfield as well as a right-sided full-back. While Djed Spence’s future is uncertain, he still remains a part of their squad.

As a result, Tottenham do not need another right-back. The report suggests they were keen on signing the South American ace who could be available for around €25 million. But, they have suffered a massive blow as he doesn’t want to join the North London club and is hoping that his move to Dortmund goes through.

Tottenham could hijack Atletico Madrid’s move for Chelsea academy graduate Conor Gallagher.

The North London club have a long-standing interest in Conor Gallagher. They have been after his signature for months. While they haven’t made any major progress yet, a report from Football Insider suggests Tottenham are planning to hijack Atletico Madrid’s deal for the services of the English international.

Spurs have recently parted ways with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and with Giovani Lo Celso’s future also uncertain, they do need to add more quality to their midfield. They have been after the services of Gallagher for a long while as people at the club consider him to be an ideal fit for Ange Postecoglou’s style of play.

Deigo Simeone’s Atletico Madrid have been in advanced talks with Chelsea to sign their academy graduate who was one of their standout performers last season. The Madrid-based club’s latest offer was around £30 million which still seems to be way off the mark as the Blues want to raise in excess of £40 million from the departure of homegrown star.

With the negotiations still going on, Tottenham are planning to hijack Atletico’s move. The 24-year-old could be the perfect signing for Spurs as he has a lot of experience of playing in the Premier League. He is a versatile player who can play in different roles and his arrival will give Ange Postecoglou multiple tactical options. But, they won’t find it easy to strike a deal with Chelsea as other rival clubs could make a move for Gallagher.

Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon has held talks with Sevilla sporting director Víctor Orta regarding a return to the Spanish club this summer.

Sergio Reguilon is not a part of Tottenham’s plans moving ahead and they seem keen on cashing in on the Spanish full-back before the end of the transfer window. According to Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, the Real Madrid graduate has been in talks with the Sevilla sporting director Víctor Orta who considers Reguilon his preferred choice to bolster their defence.

The 27-year-old full-back has spent the last two seasons out on loan. While he was hoping for a chance to revive himself at Spurs following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou, he wasn’t in the Australian manager’s plans. He spent the 2023/24 season out on loan at Manchester United and Brentford. While he is back at his parent club, Reguilon has been left out of their squad for the pre-season tour to Asia in hopes that he could find himself a new club.

Sevilla have been linked with the Spanish international who was on loan at the club back in the 2019/20 season and helped them win the Europa League. The Spanish club are keen on signing a new left-back with Marcos Acuna and Ludwig Augustinsson’s future at the club uncertain. While they also have Adrià Pedrosa in their squad, their manager García Pimienta is not confident about him being the preferred choice.

He is looking for a new option at left back and as per the report, Reguilon is the favourite target for Sevilla’s sporting director Orta. He has already held talks with the 27-year-old and the player seems willing to return to his former club. While the Spanish club are looking for a loan move, it doesn’t seem to be the ideal formula for Tottenham with his contract running out in 12 months.

Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan are reportedly nearing an agreement for the transfer of Emerson Royal, with just €1 million separating the two clubs.

According to CalcioMercato, Milan have intensified their efforts to sign the Brazilian full-back following a knee injury to their defender Alessandro Florenzi and sees Emerson as a fitting replacement.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan’s latest offer stands at €14 million plus €4 million in add-ons, which is slightly below Spurs’ asking price in both guaranteed and bonus payments.

Initially, Tottenham valued Emerson at €20 million but have since lowered their asking price to €15 million, plus €5m in add-ons, to facilitate the transfer. This means, the two clubs are just €1m away from striking a deal.

This reduction indicates the Lilywhites’ intent to offload Emerson, who does not fit into manager Ange Postecoglou’s future plans.

Emerson, who joined Spurs from Barcelona in the summer of 2021 for €25 million, has struggled to secure a regular starting position. He made just 11 Premier League starts last season, underscoring his limited role in the team.

With the deal on the brink of completion, Tottenham will be eager to reinvest the money into strengthening the squad for the upcoming season.

This transfer is seen as a strategic move to streamline the squad and provide the financial boost needed for further signings.

Tottenham Hotspur are determined to bolster their attacking lineup this summer, having identified several potential number nines.

Among their top targets now also includes Napoli’s prolific striker, Victor Osimhen.

According to Football Insider, Spurs are now closely monitoring the Nigerian international, even as their London rivals Chelsea are engaging in active negotiations for his signature.

Chelsea are reportedly discussing a cash-plus-player deal for the 25-year-old, which would involve Romelu Lukaku moving to Napoli.

In response, Tottenham are considering a similar approach, showing their willingness to include their own players in a swap deal to land Osimhen.

The report further adds that the Tottenham manager is ‘obsessed‘ about signing a new striker this summer.

Osimhen joined Napoli in 2020 for a record fee of €77.5 million. His tenure with the Italian side has been marked by significant achievements, particularly in the 2022-23 season.

Osimhen played a crucial role in helping Napoli clinch their first Serie A title in 33 years, and finished as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals. Despite a hamstring injury that sidelined him for several games last season, Osimhen demonstrated his prowess by netting 15 goals and providing three assists in 25 league appearances. Since joining the Italian giants, he has scored an incredible 76 goals & assisted another 18 in 133 appearances. (Transfermarkt)

His outstanding performances earned him a contract extension with Napoli until 2026, featuring a new release clause set at €130 million.

For Tottenham, signing Osimhen would be a major boost to their forward line, adding a proven goalscorer capable of making a significant impact.

However, given his recent contract extension, Spurs may need to make a substantial financial commitment.

With a massive release clause, securing Osimhen’s services will require negotiations and a significant investment, making it a difficult signing to pull off.
