Luka Vuskovic was among a host of new acquisitions at Tottenham this summer.
Spurs signed Vuskovic from Croatian side Hajduk Split for a reported £12million in 2023, but he officially arrived in July after he turned 18.
However, the Tottenham centre-back has now joined Bundesliga outfit Hamburg on a season-long loan.
Despite departing the North London club, the 18-year-old has been backed to break into the Lilywhites’ first team.

Luka Vuskovic tipped for Tottenham first-team action
Spurs were blasted for their treatment of Vuskovic, who did not have long to settle in North London before moving to Germany.
However, with the likes of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven for company, first-team opportunities were always going to be sparse for the 18-year-old.
Now, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has weighed in on Vuskovic’s move.
“If he’s going to go to Hamburg and he’s going to play 40 or 45 games between now and the end of the season,” Wenham said.
“Come back as a 19-year-old next year with nine months, a whole Bundesliga season under his belt, added on top of what he’s already done, at the Polish club and also the Belgian League last year.
“He’s then quite hugely experienced and will be looking to push into the Tottenham first team at that point.”
How could Luka Vuskovic find a way into Spurs’ team?
While the newly capped Croatia international has a high ceiling, many factors must play out if he is to get a starting berth this time next year.
In Romero and Van de Ven, Frank has two top-quality centre-backs who are quite frankly undroppable.
Indeed, it seems that the former will be a Tottenham player for the foreseeable future after signing a new deal until 2029.
If Frank continues to play two centre-backs, then Vuskovic would surely find it impossible to get past either of them.
However, Spurs will be hoping to be a Champions League outfit again next season, meaning the Croatian could benefit from squad rotation.
If that plays out, then the defender could be afforded opportunities in the FA Cup or the Carabao Cup.
Of course, Vuskovic must first impress in Germany and give his parent club something to think about.
