Deal Agreed: Tottenham Set To Sign 29-Year-Old After Robertson - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham survived in the Premier League thanks to a 1-0 win over Everton on the final day of the season.

A wretched campaign ended on a positive note, with Roberto De Zerbi doing what he was brought to the club to do - rescue the Lilywhites from relegation to the Championship.

Joao Palhinha's goal was the difference on the day and his future at the club will be one up for discussion as attention immediately turns to what the club can do in the summer transfer window to avoid any chance of such a season happening again.

Tottenham hero will have talks over permanent transfer

Palhinha has been on loan from Bayern Munich for the 2025/26 campaign and will return to Germany now the season is over, although De Zerbi has admitted that he "100%" wants to sign him permanently.

Spurs will be in the market for more signings and GIVEMESPORT understands a deal to sign Andy Robertson on a free transfer from Liverpool should go through now their Premier League status is secure.

The Scotland international said goodbye to the Liverpool fans after a 1-1 draw with Brentford on the final day and has an agreement already in place to join Spurs.

And Robertson is set to be joined by another free agent at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Marcos Senesi.

The Bournemouth defender is out of contract at the Vitality Stadium this summer and is another with whom Spurs came to an agreement over signing, providing they stayed in the Premier League.

According to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, Senesi has verbally agreed on the move to north London, with a four-year deal on the table.

He said: "Tottenham has verbally agreed on the signing of Marcos Senesi. There is a verbal agreement in progress between the parties, and the London club is already working on a four-year contract for the Argentine defender.

"Spurs are getting ahead of several European giants; even Liverpool showed interest in recent weeks."

Liverpool were weighing up a move for Senesi too, but it looks like De Zerbi has got his man, acting quickly to secure a deal.

Senesi may end up replacing his countryman Cristian Romero in N17, with the Argentinian club captain set to depart this summer. There is a feeling that a mutual parting of ways will take place should the right offer come in for the 28-year-old.

12 Tottenham Players Who May Now Have Played Their Final Spurs Game Including 4 Defenders - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham's nightmare season has finally come to an end, with their Premier League status confirmed on the final day after a nervous clash with Everton.

Now, the task for Roberto De Zerbi will be to help transform Spurs from bottom-half strugglers back into European contention once again.

That will require plenty of changes over the summer transfer window, with a healthy mixture of exits for a few players and new signings to add quality across every single position.

With the season now over, here's a look at every Tottenham player who may have now played their last game for the North London club.

Cristian Romero

One player who looks certain to leave Tottenham this summer is Cristian Romero, with the club captain continuing to be linked with a possible exit.

Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have been linked with Romero, and it remains to be seen which of the Spanish giants could make their move.

The 28-year-old has made 156 appearances for Spurs, with 13 goals and seven assists in that time, but injuries and suspensions have been issues for the Argentinian international this campaign.

Micky van de Ven

Another defender who has been rumoured with an exit is Micky van de Ven, who has shown plenty of quality in his time at Tottenham so far.

With pace to burn, the Dutch centre-back has been linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United, though it remains to be seen whether either of the Premier League rivals will position themselves to land him in the coming weeks.

The 25-year-old has three years remaining on his current contract, but he could well force a transfer.

Guglielmo Vicario

A change in goal is expected this summer, as Guglielmo Vicario has been linked with a possible transfer return to Serie A on the cards in the form of Inter Milan.

The shot-stopper has made 31 appearances in the Premier League this season, but there has been criticism for his performances, while Antonin Kinsky ended the season as number one, following an injury to Vicario.

It's unclear how much Spurs could make from selling the Italy international, but an exit remains on the cards.

Yves Bissouma

Yves Bissouma's contract at Tottenham is expiring this summer, and it could be an ideal time for both the player and club to part ways.

The Malian international has made over 100 appearances for Spurs since joining from Brighton, with a career in North London that has been hit by injuries.

A midfield refresh is to be expected, and it would be no surprise to see Bissouma's deal not extended as a result.

Ben Davies

Ben Davies will be remembered as a club legend at Tottenham, but with his deal coming to an end, it may be time for his chapter at the club to come to an end.

Serious injury has kept the experienced star out of action for the latter half of the campaign, with the lack of leadership in his absence seeming quite clear.

The Welsh ace has over 350 appearances for Spurs, and it's unclear whether he will retire and stay in the coaching setup if his deal isn't extended, or if he plans to move elsewhere.

Joao Palhinha

Perhaps the most important piece of business conducted last summer was Joao Palhinha's season-long loan from Bayern Munich.

Few players have delivered moments quite as important as those from the Portuguese midfielder, who has landed some important finishes when it really matters.

While the game-changing impact of Palhinha is clear, what isn't as clear is whether the 30-year-old will return to North London next season.

Randal Kolo Muani

Randal Kolo Muani has been slightly more disappointing since making his loan move to Tottenham from PSG, struggling to make any notable impact.

The versatile striker has scored just five times across all competitions, one of those in the Premier League, without the threat in his performances to back up any possible hint of a return.

Kolo Muani has been linked with Juventus as his next destination, which would be a return to the club he joined on loan last season.

Radu Dragusin

Radu Dragusin's move to Tottenham hasn't quite worked out as many would've hoped, despite some early signs that the defender could be an impressive acquisition.

The Romanian international had interest from Bayern Munich, but his decision to join Spurs came with the promise of more opportunities in the backline.

Having seemingly become fourth-choice behind Van de Ven, Romero, and Kevin Danso, a switch almost certainly seems to be on the cards.

Manor Solomon

Forward Manor Solomon hasn't featured for Tottenham since 2023, and has featured on loan for a host of clubs in the time since.

The 26-year-old has two more years on his deal, but is currently on loan at Fiorentina, who have an option to buy included in the deal that could be activated.

Alfie Devine

Tottenham academy graduate Alfie Devine has impressed on loan at Preston North End, which has led to some interest from other second-tier clubs.

The midfielder has a permanent deal clause in his loan at Preston, but with that sitting at £4.5 million, it's unclear whether the club can afford it.

Devine has made just two appearances for Tottenham, and it looks likely that he will start a new chapter elsewhere this summer.

Alejo Veliz

Striker Alejo Veliz has struggled to make an impact, and is currently on loan at Rosario Central, before he makes a permanent exit from Tottenham.

The 22-year-old has agreed a deal to join Brazilian club Bahia, which will go ahead in June.

Dane Scarlett

Dane Scarlett has been in and out of the Tottenham squad in past years, with the 22-year-old still hoping to have his moment to break into the team.

The striker has spent the second half of the season on loan with Hibernian, where he scored just once, and will return to Spurs with just one year left on his deal.

Scarlett has played 27 times for Spurs, with one goal and three assists for the club.

Agreement in Place: Tottenham Set to Sign 'Elite' Star as Survival Confirmed - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham are now set to secure their first signing of the summer after their place in next season's Premier League was confirmed.

The work starts now for Roberto De Zerbi, and Tottenham as they look to head back in the right direction after a dismal few years.

The summer transfer window is the opportunity for them to rebuild and go again, as they can't afford to be battling for relegation anymore.

A host of players are likely to leave the club, but that also means they will bring in a load of new additions.

It could be one of Tottenham's busiest windows in their recent history, as many players will be wanting to leave due to a lack of European football.

Spurs will also need to strengthen after such a poor run, so we could see a number of incomings and outgoings this summer.

Tottenham to Secure First Summer Signing

According to GIVEMESPORT correspondent Ben Jacobs, Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is set to join Tottenham now their Premier League status is secure.

Robertson, described as 'elite', is set to be a free agent, with his contract at Liverpool expiring.

The Scottish international said goodbye to Liverpool fans at Anfield on Sunday, with him and Mohamed Salah both leaving the club.

Tottenham looked to secure Robertson earlier in the year, but with Spurs battling to stay in the Premier League, a deal wasn't guaranteed.

Strong Start to Window for Tottenham

Securing the signature of Robertson on a free transfer is a strong start to the summer transfer window for Tottenham.

The Scottish left-back will bring plenty of Premier League experience to the club and a winning mentality after securing a host of trophies during his time at Anfield.

Although he is coming to the end of his career, there is no doubt he can still offer something in the Premier League, both on and off the pitch.

Tottenham certainly can't stop there, though, as they need to bring in a host of players all over the pitch in order to head back in the right direction.

Tottenham Preparing For Life After 'Crucial' Star As Club Relationship 'Strained' - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham are preparing for life after Cristian Romero, as TeamTalk has reported that the club are making moves behind the scenes to help facilitate an exit.

The centre-back has been with the North London club since 2022, growing into an important presence in the backline in the four years he has spent there.

The 28-year-old has made over 150 appearances for Spurs, in which he became club captain and led the team to Europa League glory last year.

However, frustrations have grown with Romero, as Tottenham's scare with Premier League relegation has only highlighted concerns with the Argentina international.

Even with survival confirmed, it appears as though the club captain is now set for an exit, with clubs circling a possible deal.

Tottenham Ready To Sell Cristian Romero

Romero's potential exit comes as little surprise, but TeamTalk reports that Tottenham are actively making moves to help push through a deal this summer.

It's claimed that Spurs have instructed intermediaries to complete a move, with the relationship internally between the club and player described as "strained" after recent weeks.

That comes after controversy behind the scenes between Romero and Tottenham, after reports claimed he would be in Argentina over the weekend to watch his boyhood club Belgrano take on River Plate in an important fixture, with the title on the line.

However, the defender made a return to England and was present for his club's final match of the season against Everton, which saw the Lilywhites avoid relegation in tense circumstances.

Romero's possible exit comes despite the importance that Roberto De Zerbi outlined for the centre-back when he initially took the job at Tottenham.

Speaking to NBC Sports in April, the Spurs manager said: "I think Cuti is crucial for us, crucial for Tottenham as a club. He is the captain, he is maybe the most important player in our squad, and to achieve our goal, we need the best of Romero."

Atletico Madrid have been described as the most likely destination, while Barcelona have also been linked with a switch for the star.

Tottenham Need Defensive Reinforcements

While Romero looks set to make an exit this summer, he may not be the only Tottenham star from the backline who could leave the club.

Micky van de Ven is a defender in-demand, having been linked with a move to Liverpool and Manchester United, while Radu Dragusin is another player who could leave.

That means reinforcements are needed, with Marcos Senesi set to join Tottenham as the first signing of the summer after agreeing a deal so long as relegation was avoided.

With no European football, there is less need to sign quite as many options for depth, but another starting defender would be needed to bolster the team.

It remains to be seen who will be in contention, with clear upgrades needed across the squad.

Roberto De Zerbi Reveals Telling Conversation With Tottenham Star Before Everton

Roberto De Zerbi Reveals Telling Conversation With Tottenham Star Before Everton - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has revealed a very telling conversation he had with Djed Spence leading up to their game against Everton on Sunday.

Spurs secured their place in next season's Premier League after a 1-0 victory over Everton on Sunday.

West Ham United managed a 3-0 win over Leeds, but it meant little after De Zerbi's side secured all three points.

It's been an incredibly disappointing season for Tottenham, but they can take some pleasure in knowing they showed a lot more fight under De Zerbi over the last few months.

That doesn't excuse the dismal few years they've had. There is no doubt that a lot needs to change at the North London club if they want to head back in the right direction.

Speaking after the game, manager De Zerbi revealed that Tottenham defender Spence came into his office on Saturday to say that he wanted to play, despite suffering a broken jaw against Chelsea in the previous game.

Spence said that De Zerbi is always talking about character and courage, before confirming that he is there if the manager needs him.

It's incredibly telling that Spence made an effort to go and see De Zerbi and tell him that he wanted to play the game.

The Tottenham defender could have easily ruled himself out due to his injury, but he showed the character and courage to pull on the shirt and try to help Tottenham avoid relegation.

Journalist David Ornstein revealed earlier this week that Spence suffered a broken jaw after a collision with Liam Delap.

Despite the injury, Ornstein suggested that Spence would still be available to play but would likely wear a protective mask.

Tottenham Need Characters Like Spence

Tottenham need characters like Spence going forward if they want to drag themselves away from the relegation zone and into the top half.

There are many players in the world of football who would have decided not to play in such a crucial game, trying to avoid the pressure of a relegation battle with an easy excuse due to their injury.

Instead, Spence was willing to put his body on the line and continue playing, helping Tottenham secure a place in next season's Premier League.

It's hugely positive news that Tottenham fans can realise they have characters like Spence in the dressing room, and hopefully, it's a positive going forward.

Jamie O'Hara Never Wants to See 'Woeful' Tottenham Star Play for the Club Again

Jamie O'Hara Never Wants to See 'Awful' Tottenham Star Play for the Club Again - GiveMeSport
Description

Despite Tottenham remaining in the Premier League, surviving on the final day, former midfielder Jamie O'Hara says he never wants to see one player play for the club again.

Spurs secured a 1-0 victory over Everton on Sunday, ending their season on a high as they avoided being relegated to the Championship.

West Ham did their bit, comfortably beating Leeds United, but it wasn't enough for them due to Tottenham's victory.

Thankfully, heading into the weekend, Tottenham were in control of the situation. Roberto De Zerbi deserves a lot of credit for helping Tottenham turn things around, ending a five-month winless run before taking 11 points from 21.

Despite the victory, this isn't a moment for Tottenham to celebrate, as they should never have been in this situation.

Jamie O'Hara Slams Tottenham Star

Speaking after the game on X, former Tottenham midfielder O'Hara suggested that he hopes that was the last game Richarlison ever plays for the club, describing the Brazilian as "absolutely woeful".

It was interesting that O'Hara took aim at Richarlison rather than some of the players who have let Spurs down more often.

Despite only starting 19 games in the Premier League this season, Richarlison has contributed with 15 goals and assists, comfortably more than any other player in the team.

Spurs fans should be hoping a host of their players have played their last game for the club, as it's not been good enough for a couple of years now.

Tottenham Need a Huge Reset

One thing Tottenham did get right this season is bringing De Zerbi to the club. The Italian manager has done an excellent job in turning things around, and the club should be looking to back him in the summer transfer window.

That being said, Tottenham need a huge rebuild in the summer, as the last two seasons have been completely unacceptable.

They appear to have found the right manager, but they still need to ensure they bring in the right players and profiles for him to be successful.

Changes need to be made behind the scenes and on the pitch, so it could be an interesting few months ahead for Spurs.

Description

It's do or die for Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday.

The relegation battle comes down to the final day and Spurs are hanging on to their status as a Premier League team, needing a point at home to Everton to breathe a sigh of relief and not suffer relegation to the Championship.

The Lilywhites might have secured their Premier League status already, but missed big opportunities against Leeds United (1-1 draw) and Chelsea (2-1 defeat) to get the job done before any final day drama reared its head.

Players return from injury at the perfect time for Spurs

Now they go into the match with Everton needing a result, but at least head coach Roberto De Zerbi has strength in numbers to choose from - something he has not always had since he arrived at the club at the end of March.

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, the Italian said: "[Dominic] Solanke is available. We have to decide if he starts in the first XI or not, and [James] Maddison is available.

"It is always tough to decide before the game how many minutes he can play. Of course, he is a different player, a top player for us. But we have to analyse the physical condition and a lot of things. But both are available."

Djed Spence, called into the England World Cup squad this week, will also be available despite suffering a broken jaw in the game with Chelsea in that collision with Liam Delap, which De Zerbi felt should have been a red card.

One player not available is Cristian Romero, who has caused mass uproar this week when he was seen at boyhood club Belgrano's ground in Argentina doing rehabilitation work on his knee injury, with the news that he would be staying in his home country and not returning for Tottenham's critical final Premier League game of the season against Everton on Sunday.

Belgrano president Luis Artime said: "Yesterday he was training and I told him I think he’s going to be the one who arrives at the World Cup in the best shape. I’ve seen him and he’s in great form. He’s going to arrive well-rested, ready to join the team at its peak."

If he's been training and is in "great form" it begs the question why he is not in England preparing for Spurs' huge relegation game. And even if he is not fit, fan sentiment is that he should be here supporting his teammates.

Alongside Romero, Ben Davies, Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus remain sidelined and out of the final day clash.

So what team does De Zerbi go with?

The Italian has stuck with the same starting lineup in each of his last three matches, but he must freshen it up for this clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite Guglielmo Vicario returning from injury, Antonin Kinsky should get the nod in between the sticks. At the back it's as you were most likely, with Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie either side of the centre-backs Micky van de Ven and Kevin Danso.

It's in front of them that changes should be made.

Two De Zerbi favourites axed for Everton clash

Joao Palhinha stood out against Aston Villa, but was poor against Leeds and Chelsea and needs replacing in the starting lineup. Conor Gallagher can drop back into a more familiar reserved role alongside Rodrigo Bentancur, with James Maddison required to start the game.

He may only have 45 minutes in his legs, but it's better to get Spurs on the front foot early and have an impact, rather than potentially being called upon to rescue the situation as he was against the Blues and could not quite do it.

Mathys Tel keeps his place, with Richarlison moved out to the wing, replacing the ineffective Randal Kolo Muani who does not deserve to play in the final game of the season. Solanke can start up top, with Djed Spence available in reserve to come on on the right hand side ahead of Porro should he not manage 90 minutes and former Everton star Richarlison moves up front.

Leeds Have £8m Reason To Help Tottenham In Relegation Battle

Leeds Have £8m Reason To Do Tottenham Massive Premier League Relegation Favour - GiveMeSport
Description

The final spot in the Premier League relegation zone has gone down to the final day of the season.

Either West Ham will be relegated and Tottenham will maintain their Premier League status or vice-versa. One big London club will be plying their trade in the Championship next season following a dismal campaign in the top flight.

Tottenham are in the driving seat with a two-point lead over their city rivals heading into the final day's action, so they know that a draw with Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will secure their survival, thanks to their superior goal difference.

Leeds have financial incentive to put in a good performance against West Ham

Anything less than a West Ham win against Leeds and they will be relegated to the second tier, but they know they need a favour from the Toffees to stay up.

Neither Everton nor Leeds have much to play for on the final day, with final positions in the Premier League the only thing up for grabs. But with final positions come more financial rewards.

Leeds sit 14th in the table currently, but can climb as high as 11th with victory over the Hammers at the London Stadium. And that could be hugely beneficial financially for the Whites.

At the end of every season, the Premier League dishes out money to all 20 teams who took part, with every club getting an equal share payment, before other staggered merit payments - domestic and international - commercial payments and facility fees.

Based on where you finish in the final Premier League table, the merit payments go up incrementally.

The 2025/26 payments have not yet been confirmed, but taking into account last year's numbers, Leeds would have earned £19.7million for finishing in 14th place. If they were to overhaul Fulham, Everton and Newcastle - who are all two points ahead of them going into the final day of the season - and finish 11th, if last year's payments are a guide, they would earn £28.2million - £8.5million more.

Everton could lose potential money if they drop down the table

That is a huge incentive for Leeds, who are unbeaten in their last seven matches and actually drew with Spurs little less than two weeks ago, to not make wholesale changes on the final day and go all out for a win against the Hammers.

On the flip side, Everton could also gain just over £8million if they were to beat Spurs and move up three places from 12th to 9th in the final standings. The Toffees could also drop two places depending on results, which would see them lose just under £6million in revenue.

It's going to be an intriguing and potentially dramatic final day of the season and it may seem like clubs have nothing to play for but that is not quite the case. Leeds boss Daniel Farke could bring in another new face in the summer transfer window with an extra £8.5million.

Shearer Makes Final Tottenham And West Ham Relegation Prediction

Alan Shearer Makes Final Tottenham and West Ham Premier League Relegation Prediction - GiveMeSport
Description

It all comes down to the final day - will it be Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United who relinquish their status as a Premier League club and drop into the second tier of the Championship?

Spurs have the advantage heading into the final day of what has been a wretched 2025/26 campaign, leading the Hammers by two points. They know they only need a draw at home to Everton - because of their far superior goal difference - to secure safety.

There are nine possible scenarios on the final day of the season and West Ham know they must beat Leeds at home and hope the Toffees can do them a favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the only one that will keep them up.

Tottenham could and perhaps should be safe already

Tottenham have had chances to get it done before now, drawing at home to Leeds just under two weeks ago and then losing to old rivals Chelsea on Tuesday night. Any other more positive results in either of those two matches would mean there was nothing to play for on the final day.

So who stays up and who gets relegated? It's bound to be a dramatic final day in London and former Newcastle united man Alan Shearer has had his say on proceedings as usual.

Speaking to Betfair, Shearer thinks it's going to be a nail-biter. In fact, he has no idea what's going to happen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He said: "I saw West Ham last week, I was at the game at Newcastle on Sunday, oh my goodness, they were so bad defensively. They came in with a new system, tried to play five at the back and changed after 25 minutes or so because they were 2-0 down. But they were really, really poor.

"They've got to try and get that win and try and put as much pressure on Tottenham Hotspur as possible, because you can imagine the picture where we're flicking to Tottenham's ground and we're flicking to West Ham at different points on Sunday afternoon.

"I’m going to go for a West Ham win."

Will Tottenham get the point they need?

A Hammers win puts the pressure on Tottenham, but Shearer is not convinced it will be enough to keep West Ham in the Premier League.

He added: "Unfortunately [for them], I don’t think it will be enough to keep them up as I can see Spurs and Everton playing out a draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

"It's such a tough one to call, I mean, I have no confidence on either side, and this is a pure guess. The pressure that Spurs are going to be under, I do think that Everton will go and get something off Spurs. I'm going to go and say a draw, and I think Spurs will stay up on goal difference."

Eight Tottenham Players Can Follow Cristian Romero Out Of The Club

Eight Tottenham Players Can Follow Cristian Romero Out Of The Club - GiveMeSport
Description

Cristian Romero has shown his true colours, much to the disgust of the Tottenham Hotspur fans.

Spurs need everyone on board on Sunday, everyone pulling in the right direction for what Roberto De Zerbi described as bigger than last year's Europa League final win.

And he's not wrong.

De Zerbi said: "Sunday is the final for Tottenham. Not Bilbao against Manchester United. The most important game is Sunday.

"Now we play for something more than a trophy. This is for the pride of the club and history. A trophy you can win and get one trophy more but this is more important. This is about dignity."

There are nine different scenarios for the final day of the Premier League

Tottenham are in a fight for their Premier League lives. Spurs have been a top flight club since 1978, a founding member of the Premier League, one of the so-called big six.

But if they lose to Everton on Sunday and West Ham beat Leeds United, the Lilywhites will be relegated to the Championship.

There are nine different scenarios for the two crucial matches on the final day of the season and only in one of them do Tottenham go down. It is in their hands to get out of the mess they have put themselves in.

The players are not wholly to blame. Big questions need to be asked in the close season of the powers that be behind the scenes and protests against the ownership are planned for after the final whistle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - regardless of the outcome.

But the players have to take responsibility at 4pm on Sunday and get the job done come what may.

Romero may be injured and unable to contribute, but the leader, the club captain, the man everyone in the squad looks to should be going through the pain with his teammates, kicking every ball, heading every ball, winning every tackle with them from the sidelines. But he won't.

Why not? Because he's out of the country, back in his homeland of Argentina, watching his boyhood club Belgrano in their final match of the season against River Plate.

It's a huge match for them, the Argentine Primera Division final. But the club he plays for now, the club that pays his wages, the club for whom he was handed the great honour of being club captain are also involved in a huge match with desperate consequences.

The fact he will not be in north London on Sunday is an absolute disgrace. De Zerbi said he "100%" understands the fans' frustrations that Romero will not be present for the game but also said that the Argentine has "been correct with me from when I started to now".

Romero tears were not for Tottenham Hotspur

When he went off injured in tears in that game with Sunderland that ended his season, I cynically felt the tears were selfish ones and not for Tottenham, that he was upset he might miss the World Cup. Turns out I was right.

If Romero cared about the club he would be here on Sunday. Everyone knows how important this game is.

There is a common consensus that he will leave this summer, a gentleman's agreement if you will that he will be allowed to go should an adequate offer come in. Something in the region of £50million to £60million should do it.

He is clearly a hugely talented player - a World Cup winner no less, but as everyone has seen, he can be a liability at times and selling for a good fee is the right move all round.

Spurs will go on without him and probably be better off. He has played his last game for the club, but he's not the only one.

De Zerbi needs a complete reset and refresh this summer and plenty more mist follow Romero out of the door.

Ben Davies and Yves Bissouma have already played this last games for the club, with their contracts ending this summer and neither likely to play any part on Sunday.

Guglielmo Vicario is another who has probably played his last game too. It would be a surprise to see him replace Antonin Kinsky for the final game of the season.

More players need to follow Romero out of the Tottenham exit door

Radu Dragusin needs to go, he's not up to par and will be replaced this summer, while Pape Matar Sarr should probably move on for his own sake too. It's also time for Richarlison to depart, hopefully after doing what he did so well at Sunday's opponents Everton in the past and scoring a goal to rescue Tottenham from the brink of humiliation.

Joao Palhinha has been hit and miss and while De Zerbi has admitted he wants to sign him permanently, I'm not so sure he's worth the money to be spent on him with the likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall waiting in the wings. Don't get me started on fellow loanee Randal Kolo Muani...his time should have been up weeks ago.

Romero has to go. Thanks for everything you've done, but you've tarnished your reputation right at the death. And eight players need to follow him out of the door and never play for Spurs again.
