Tottenham Submit £87m Bid to Sign French 'Phenomenon' for Thomas Frank - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur could look to complete one of the deals of the winter, according to reports - with reports suggesting that they have made a mega-money move for Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni.

Spurs have already spent close to £50million this winter, landing Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid, as well as young Brazil left-back Souza from iconic club Santos.

Reports have touted them with a move for Andy Robertson from Liverpool, as well as others in the Premier League such as Curtis Jones. But they could now move for a genuine 'world-class' star in Tchouameni, according to reports - with suggestions that an £87million bid has been made for his talents.

Report: Tottenham 'Make Offer' for Aurelien Tchouameni

The report by Spanish outlet Fichajes states that Real Madrid are once again at the centre of the international transfer market with Tchouameni coming under two offers of £87million.

The 25-year-old ''phenomenon' only joined Real Madrid for around £69million from AS Monaco in 2022, and he has gained experience, importance and stardom in a leading role in the team under both Carlo Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso down the years, on a £260,000-a-week contract.

With that in mind, Spurs have shown a clear determination to get a deal over the line for the France international, who has become one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe. Real Madrid are aware that Tchouameni's talent hasn't gone unnoticed, and as a result, Tottenham have made a move which would shatter their previous transfer record.

ENIC want to take a competitive leap in north London, and believe he would be an 'immediate fit' for their sporting project, sitting alongside new signing and former rival Gallagher in the pecking order to start in their midfield.

Tchouameni has the likes of Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Dani Ceballos to contend with in the pecking order at Real Madrid, and a move to the Premier League could see him become one of the leading stars in the division.

Tchouameni's Experiences Would Make Him a Super Addition at Tottenham

Tchouameni came through Bordeaux's youth system, making his debut in 2018, before moving to Monaco in January 2020.

He only spent two-and-a-half years at the club before joining Real Madrid. He's been a regular fixture ever since, with the least amount of league appearances in one season only being the 27 he made in the 2023-24 campaign.

Alongside 43 caps for France, Tchouameni has already achieved a lot in the game, having won nine trophies at such a young age, and that experience would be invaluable for Spurs to blossom with a winning mentality.

Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign £62m Star Who is 'Among the Best in Europe - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur could look to vastly improve one major part of their squad heading into next season, according to reports - with a move for Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar being lined up as they look to shore up a leaky defence.

Spurs have already conceded 31 goals this season, more than most top half teams, and their nine losses in the Premier League from just 23 games is quite the unwanted record.

Their goalkeeping ranks will be looked at alongside their defence, and that could see Svilar targeted for a mega-money move to London after his burst onto the scene in Rome over the past two seasons.

Report: Tottenham 'In the Race' to Sign Svilar, He'd Cost £62million

The report by Sport Witness states that Tottenham were in the race to land Svilar from mid-January, with current goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario being 'of interest' to various Serie A clubs, who he could join in the summer.

Svilar has been 'among the best goalkeepers in Europe', and that led to Roma wanting around €70million (£62million) for the Belgian-born star if he was to be allowed to depart in the January window.

Last season, he had a save percentage of 77 percent and kept the joint-most clean sheets in Serie A, extending his contract until 2030 in the summer, and so it would take a lot of money to prise hm away from the Italian capital.

Chelsea and Bournemouth are thought to be keen, as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, and it would be no surprise to see his interest rise across Europe given his recent statistics.

Any move would see Svilar become the third-most expensive goalkeeper in football history, behind Liverpool stopper Alisson Becker and Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has since joined Arsenal - and there would be vast pressure on him to succeed in the top-flight with Tottenham having struggled defensively in recent months.

Tottenham Need an Upgrade on Vicario to Progress

Vicario has been a decent shot-stopper for Tottenham, though when you look at the other goalkeepers in the Premier League, he is not in that bracket.

David Raya, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alisson Becker and Emiliano Martinez have all been superb stalwarts across Europe for the past few years, and Vicario is in the tier below them.

Every statistic on Svilar points to him joining the quartet in the world-class category, having already made 114 appearances for Roma and a further 23 for Benfica during his career, becoming their first-choice over the past two seasons and mounting an unlikely title charge.

Tottenham Deal to Sign Liverpool Star Andy Robertson Now Off as Reason Revealed

Tottenham Deal to Sign Liverpool Star Andy Robertson Now Off as Reason Revealed - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur's move to sign Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson is now off, after the Reds pulled the plug on a move, according to Paul Joyce.

Robertson is set to be out of contract in the summer, meaning the Reds have a decision to make on his future. With no new deal seemingly on the table, Liverpool can either cash in now and receive a fee for him, or lose him for nothing later in the year.

Robertson has predominantly played second fiddle to Milos Kerkez this season after the Hungarian left-back arrived through the door from Bournemouth in the summer. With Tottenham in the market for a left-back following an injury to Ben Davies, the north London club decided to make their move for Robertson, but it's all gone wrong.

Liverpool Stop Robertson Completing Move

According to The Times reporter Paul Joyce, Liverpool have now pulled the plug on Tottenham's move for Robertson. The Scottish international now looks set to stay at Anfield after Liverpool told Spurs that they wouldn't be able to consider his departure as things stand due to the current options they have in his position.

Tottenham were believed to be willing to pay a fee in the region of £5m, but a deal for them to secure his signature is now off. The Merseyside outfit were hoping to recall Kostas Tsimikas from his loan spell at Roma, but it's claimed that the Serie A outfit were reluctant to cut his temporary move short.

During Liverpool's defeat against Bournemouth at the weekend in the Premier League, Joe Gomez was substituted due to injury, which might have forced their hand in terms of an exit for Robertson, losing another defensive option.

Robertson Might Not be Happy

If Robertson is going to continue playing a backup role to Kerkez in Arne Slot's team, then he might not be best pleased that a deal has fallen through. Thankfully for him, his contract is up in the summer, meaning he will be able to move freely.

Slot has preferred Kerkez on the left-hand side of defence, and it's hardly a surprise if they knew Robertson was going to be leaving at the end of the season. Whether an exit takes place later in the January transfer window remains to be seen, but for now, Liverpool have halted his move to Spurs.

Tottenham Hold Talks to Sign 'One of Europe's Elite Number 9s', Wants PL Move - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are long-term admirers of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, and his representatives are constantly holding talks with the north London club, according to TEAMtalk.

Spurs could be in the market for a new striker in the coming months, with some of their options struggling for various reasons. Randal Kolo Muani is yet to find his first Premier League goal since his arrival on loan, while Richarlison is currently on the treatment table due to injury.

Dominic Solanke is now back in the fold, but he's spent a large portion of the season out injured. Mathys Tel is another option for Thomas Frank through the middle of attack, but the young French forward was recently removed from Tottenham's Champions League squad.

Tottenham Hold Talks for 'Elite' Striker

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have been in regular contact with the representatives of Juventus striker Vlahovic. The Serbian striker, who has been described as 'one of Europe's elite No.9s' by TEAMtalk journalist Graeme Bailey, is believed to be keen on a move to the Premier League in the near future.

A move in the January transfer window might appear unlikely, simply because Vlahovic is currently out injured. The 25-year-old has been out since the end of November, and he's not expected to return to action until the beginning of March, making a move in the summer more likely.

Before his injury, Vlahovic was regularly involved for Juventus, playing 13 games in Serie A this season. Juventus have Jonathan David and Lois Openda as centre-forward options at the moment, so an exit for Vlahovic wouldn't be a surprise, especially with his contract expiring at the end of the current season. As a result, Spurs could secure themselves a bargain deal.

Vlahovic Deal a Bargain in Summer

A move for Vlahovic in the summer transfer window would make a lot of sense, with the Serbian striker out of contract. Although Spurs would have to pay his wages, it would still be a low-risk, bargain move, with plenty of upside potential.

Kolo Muani is only currently on loan at Spurs, meaning he could leave the club later this year, while Richarlison and Solanke have endured injury troubles. As a result, signing a new striker could become a priority in the coming months, and Vlahovic might be one of the best options on the market, especially if available on a free transfer.

Tottenham Hotspur may not be content with only signing Andy Robertson from Liverpool in the January transfer window, according to reports - with the Lilywhites also thought to be keen on landing Curtis Jones from the reigning Premier League champions.

Spurs have had an indifferent campaign in the Premier League, despite starting well in the Champions League, and that has seen them turn to the market with the signings of Conor Gallagher and Souza.

Robertson has also been touted, but the Merseyside raid may not be done there - with Thomas Frank reportedly being a bid admirer of Jones' profile to come into his midfield ranks.

Report: Tottenham 'Willing' to Make £30million Bid for Curtis Jones

The report by TEAMtalk states that Tottenham are preparing a £30million offer for Curtis Jones, accompanying their bid for Andy Robertson in what could be a double swoop at the Merseyside outfit.

The north London outfit are 'not content' with negotiating for the Scottish defender alone, and are considering a move for Jones, who has been dubbed as 'special' and 'one of the most underrated footballers' in the country.

This would be a move by Thomas Frank, who has a 'clear vision' set out in north London, wanting to raise the team's competitive level with proven Premier League stars. Jones falls into that category, having featured for Liverpool 208 times in all competitions, as well as six times for England's national team.

With two Premier League titles to his name, as well as an FA Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, a Champions League runners-up medal and winning the under-21 Euros with England back in 2023, Jones has a lot of experience for his age.

The 24-year-old fits the bill for the above criteria, and now Spurs are looking to make an initial offer of £30million. With Jones, Robertson's potential departure to Tottenham has opened up the door for various other exits at Anfield, which could pose a real issue going forward for Dutch boss Arne Slot.

First-Team Minutes Could be Vital in Tempting Curtis Jones to London

Jones has evident talent, though he may not be content with his lack of game time at his boyhood club.

The Scouse native only has 10 starts from a possible 23 in the Premier League, missing just two of those with injury, and he's only started in four of Liverpool's seven Champions League outings.

That has seen him become the definition of a squad player, which may all change if he moves to Spurs. They have signed England teammate Conor Gallagher already this window, though the majority of their midfield stars have struggled under various manager and Jones could be the permanent solution in that regard.

Shock Name In Frame To Replace Thomas Frank As Tottenham Boss

Shock Name In Frame To Replace Thomas Frank As Tottenham Boss - GiveMeSport
Description

The uncertainty over Thomas Frank's future as Tottenham Hotspur manager that lingered at the end of last year has only deepened at the start of 2026.

It all comes after a promising start to the season in which the future looked bright for Spurs after appointing the former Brentford boss to replace Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked following Tottenham's Europa League triumph in the wake of a dismal 2024/25 Premier League campaign. Frank was brought in as a calming influence for a team that wasn't living up to its potential.

But, in recent weeks, Frank's squad has resembled the one that finished in 17th place last season, as defensive issues and errors have proved costly since the team's downward spiral began in late November.

Tottenham's downfall has triggered suggestions that Frank's time at the club could end soon. Frank only has eight wins in 31 games in charge, while the club sits in 14th place through 21 games in the Premier League.

With Spurs showing little signs of life, GIVEMESPORT breaks down the candidates most likely to succeed Frank in North London.

There's no shortage of high-profile candidates being linked with joining Tottenham in the event that club officials pull the trigger and sack Frank.

Zinedine Zidane is one of the more intriguing and attractive names. But a flutter on the four-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid could be a waste given that bookies have only given Zidane 33/1 odds of being appointed.

The Frenchman's old La Liga rival and Atlético Madrid boss Diego Simeone, as well as England coach Gareth Southgate, Frank Lampard, David Moyes, and a host of other familiar names have the same odds as Zidane.

Bournemouth gaffer Andoni Iraola and Brendan Rodgers could be interesting bets at 25/1 odds, but it's hard to picture either one of them taking charge. Iraola is enjoying a solid season with the Cherries and Rodgers is fresh off a controversial departure from Celtic.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has 16/1 odds of being a shock appointment at Spurs, but the German previously indicated that he wouldn't coach another Premier League team again.

Mere days after getting sacked by Manchester United, Ruben Amorim could be in line for an instant return to the Premier League after being connected with replacing Frank. While it might be tempting for Amorim to return to Portugal, where he managed Sporting CP, the 40-year-old has unfinished business in England and could consider joining Spurs in an effort to repair his reputation. Manchester United are above Tottenham in the table, so a chance to leapfrog the team that fired him might be tempting for Amorim.

Crystal Palace gaffer Oliver Glasner has been one of the top candidates to replace Frank ever since doubts over the Danish coach's future began. Glasner is regarded as one of the Premier League's top tacticians after helping Crystal Palace find stability and securing the Eagles' first major trophy in last season's FA Cup final. Despite Palace's early exit in the FA Cup this season, Crystal Palace are understood to be eager to lock him up to a long-term contract. But Palace have lost momentum in the Premier League, so it's possible that Glasner is considering his options.

Xabi Alonso might not be out of a job for too long. The Spaniard is the bookies' favourite to join Tottenham after he was relieved of his duties as Real Madrid manager. Reports suggest that Tottenham officials opened talks with the coach shortly after his dismissal. Alonso rose to prominence as a coach during his spell at Bayer Leverkusen, in which the club ended Bayern Munich's dominance to win the Bundesliga title. However, his struggles in Spain this season were well documented, and the club's defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup was seemingly the last straw for Madrid officials.

This would be a bit out of left field, with the former Barcelona player and manager never having managed in the Premier League before, but he, unlike some of the other choices, is available right now and would not cost Spurs anything to bring in. He was successful at Al Sadd in Saudi Arabia before winning La Liga with Barcelona in 2022/23 and left the role in 2024.

Pochettino would be the romantics' choice. He has always spoken about having unfinished business at Spurs and that he would one day like to return. He is one of the favourites to take over from Frank at 4/1, but Tottenham would have to wait to bring him on board. Pochettino is a summer arrival given he has a job to do at the World CUp 2026 with the USA. His contract with the USMNT ends after that, so he would be free in the summer.

Out of nowhere, Tottenham legend Robbie Keane has emerged as the leading contender to take over from Franbk, should he be sacked. Keane has not managed in England either, but has had an incredible start to life as a manager in Europe. He led Maccabi Tel Aviv to the Israeli league title in 2023/24 and then the Hungarian title with Ferencvaros in 2024/25 where he is still the manager, having guided the club to the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League too. The returning legend would be a popular choice.

Tottenham Eyeing Xavi as 'Strong Contender' to Replace Thomas Frank

Strong contender: Tottenham eyeing 4-3-3 manager who plays 'beautiful' possession football - report - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank is under severe pressure in his role as manager after yet another disappointing result in the Premier League - and that could reportedly see Spurs look to tempt Xavi Hernandez to the dugout.

The Danish gaffer saw his side surrender a lead against relegation-bound Burnley on Saturday afternoon, with the Clarets scoring either side of half-time after Micky Van de Ven's opener from a corner routine.

Whilst Spurs rescued a last-minute equaliser, it's still a poor result against a side destined for the Championship and that could see Xavi come to the helm.

Report: Xavi Hernandez 'a Strong Contender' for Tottenham Interest Amid Poor Results

The report by Spanish outlet Fichajes states that Xavi is a strong contender for a new role in the managerial vacancy world - with Tottenham potentially looking for a new gaffer given Thomas Frank's poor run of form.

Spurs are beginning to 'question his direction' after some incredibly inconsistent form in the Premier League, the latest of which saw them only snatch a draw against struggling Burnley via a last-minute Cristian Romero header at Turf Moor.

Although they avoided defeat, it did little to squash any doubts over the Dane's tenure as boss, and the report states that Spurs now understand that their project needs a change.

As such, Xavi Hernandez's availability is gaining traction within the north London outfit, with the club aiming to 'breathe new life' into their dugout.

His name has been circulating more frequently in the capital city, with Spurs appreciating his modern approach and experience at the top-level with Barcelona.

After his time managing the Blaugrana, Xavi is now a free agent and therefore open to approaches. His knowledge of European football being a huge advantage for Spurs, who are just one win away from reaching the Round of 16 in the Champions League.

Xavi's Style of Play Would Suit Spurs Much More

Xavi would bring a bigger importance on ball retention and a possession-clad 4-3-3 style of play, straying away from the pragmatic approach that Thomas Frank continues to use, which has had little effect so far on domestic soil.

There is no doubting that Frank is a good manager, but he's just not been able to get any run of form going since a promising start in August.

Xavi would be an absolute coup for Spurs, given that he's had interest from the likes of Manchester United and more in the past after being praised for his 'beautiful' style of football.

Especially given where the Lilywhites sit in the Premier League table. If they can get a deal done for the Spaniard, it could see them hit the heights they found under Mauricio Pochettino.

Thomas Frank Must Be Sacked After Spurs Fans Send Clear Message

Thomas Frank Must Be Sacked After Spurs Fans Send Clear Message - GiveMeSport
Description

The win over Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League was a stay of execution for Thomas Frank at Tottenham Hotspur, but that is all it should have been.

There is real familiarity between Ange Postecoglou's last season in charge and this first one for Frank in N17 - good in Europe, but awful domestically and with injuries galore.

Back-to-back wins for West Ham - one of them against Spurs last week - has closed the gap between Frank's side and the relegation zone. There are just eight points between the Lilywhites and the dreaded bottom three now.

Tottenham Fans Voice Anger Towards Thomas Frank

A good performance against struggling Burnley did not yield three points on Saturday. A Cristian Romero header in the 90th minute rescued a draw at Turf Moor and the fans once again voiced their displeasure in the direction of Frank.

'Sacked in the morning' chants were also joined by 'we want Frank out' chants. The team were booed by the visiting fans at the end - something which has become the norm for Tottenham games this season - and it feels like the relationship is completely broken.

According to football.london's Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, Frank's relationship with the supporters "seems irretrievable and if that's the case, it's difficult to see how much longer Tottenham can continue along his path".

Gold also stated in the aftermath of the Burnley draw that were Daniel Levy to still be in charge, Frank probably would have been sacked long ago and it's hard to disagree with him.

Daniel Levy Would Not Have Stood For This

Levy was ruthless when it came to managers and did not suffer fools. Those in power at Tottenham right now appear reluctant to make a decision that it feels like 90% of people connected with the club see as the right move.

Spurs have tough fixtures against Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle and Arsenal to come in the Premier League, after their final Champions League league phase fixture with Eintracht Frankfurt.

It may well be that that midweek clash in Europe is the last of Frank's miserable tenure. A clean break, at the break of the Champions League, seems like the perfect time.

But, it would beg the question of why it's taken so long.

Tottenham will have gone through another transfer window, bringing in players that a new manager might not want. And if the break is made, who do Spurs bring in? There are better options available in the summer - Mauricio Pochettino, whom the fans also chanted about at Turf Moor - being one. An interim manager may be required - Ryan Mason is out of work again - and it would be classic Spurs to bring in a new assistant head coach for Frank in John Heitinga, to then place him in caretaker charge within weeks.

Thomas Frank Does Not Deserve Such Anger

Frank is one of the most likeable, affable, decent managers around and the anger towards him from the Tottenham supporters seems entirely untoward. But he has been put in this position by the club not making a decision sooner. They have let it get to this but the time is right for everyone to part ways.

There is a real disconnect between the club and their supporters right now and Frank is not entirely to blame for the predicament Spurs find themselves in. He was, in hindsight, the wrong choice for the role given the football he played at Brentford that has translated to north London.

The manager - or head coach - is always the fall guy though and Frank's reign has to fall in the coming days or there will be metaphorical riots.

Just In: Fabrizio Romano Drops New Thomas Frank Sack Update At Tottenham - GiveMeSport
Description

It feels a little bit like one step forward, two steps back for Thomas Frank at Tottenham Hotspur, who is back under scrutiny in north London.

The pressure eased on Frank somewhat during the week when Spurs produced a slick display in the UEFA Champions League to beat Bundesliga high-flyers Borussia Dortmund.

That victory put them fourth in the Champions League league phase table and secured at least a knockout play-off clash. But while things are going well in Europe, the same cannot be said for Tottenham's league form, which continues to stutter.

Frank Sends Message to Tottenham Fans

Spurs were 13 points clear of the Premier League relegation zone little over a week ago, now that gap is down to just eight following defeat to West Ham and Saturday's draw with Burnley - two teams in that relegation zone.

Speculation around Frank's future has been rife for much of the season, with Spurs regularly booed off the pitch following performances in the Premier League.

Matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium have also failed to hit capacity as supporters have voted with their feet. Fans were heard chanting 'we want Frank out' and 'you're getting sacked in the morning' during the game at Turf Moor.

Frank delivered a message to the fans in his post-match press conference. He said: "I think the message to the fans, as I've said the whole time, is that we're working very hard to make sure everything is going in the right direction and we'll keep doing that."

Thomas Frank Back At Risk

Tottenham face Eintracht Frankfurt away in Germany on Wednesday in their final Champions League clash to try and secure a top eight to automatically qualify for the last 16 and avoid the need for a play-off match. The likelihood is that Frank will remain in charge for that, but the result at Burnley has caused further doubt.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano delivered an update on the Tottenham boss' future.

He said: "For sure it's a complicated situation for Thomas Frank after the win against Borussia Dortmund to soften the pressure during the week, he's now back at risk, so let's see what's going to happen for the future of Thomas Frank.

"Of course it's going to be a busy, busy week - the last week of the transfer window and Tottenham to decide on their manager and many things to assess."

The Managers Who Could Replace Frank

Spurs have been linked with a number of managers in the past few weeks, with the likes of Xabi Alonso and Xavi being mentioned. Oliver Glasner was talked about as a potential replacement, following his Crystal Palace outburst, although the Eagles now expect the Austrian to see out his contract until the end of the season.

At the end of the 2025/26 campaign, Spurs will potentially have their pick of managers, with Andoni Iraola, Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel, as well as Glasner, all out of contract.

Tottenham Star Planning Exit Unless Thomas Frank Gets Sacked

Sky Sports: Tottenham Star Pushing to Leave Unless Thomas Frank Gets Sacked - GiveMeSport
Description

Mathys Tel is pushing to leave Tottenham Hotspur and will only reconsider his stance if the club sack Thomas Frank, according to a new update from Sky Sports Germany journalist Kerry Hau.

The Frenchman had been linked with an exit in the January transfer window at the end of 2025, with starts limited under the Danish manager in recent months.

Those rumours had quietened in recent weeks with the £30m star starting four successive matches for Spurs, but he was then removed from the North London club's Champions League squad for their remaining fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Tel Wants Out at Tottenham

According to Hau, posting on X in the hours leading up the game against Dortmund, Tel is now planning his exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Sky Sports journalist says that the only thing that would make the 20-year-old perform a U-turn on his desire to leave would be if Frank was dismissed by the Spurs hierarchy.

That decision might not be too far away and a defeat against Dortmund on Tuesday night would leave Frank in a difficult position, coming off the back of a disastrous 2-1 defeat at home to London rivals and relegation-threatened West Ham United at the weekend.

Spurs lie 14th in the Premier League table themselves and they will be without Tel as their injury-ravaged squad come up against the Bundesliga giants on Tuesday.

The French forward is said to be 'frustrated' by the omission and has instructed the club that he would like to leave on loan in this window, according to a separate report.

Tel Attracting Interest From Many Clubs

According to Hau, Paris FC are the strongest suitors for the former Bayern Munich player as things stand, but he also has interest from other French clubs, with teams from England and Spain also interested in the youngster.

One move that has been ruled out for Tel is a return to the Bundesliga, with a move there currently off the table.

Manchester United looked to be in pole position to sign the Frenchman - who wanted to move to Old Trafford - one year ago, but they couldn't agree a deal with Bayern and he moved to London instead.

Where Will Tottenham Look if They Sack Frank?

The recent appointment of John Heitinga as assistant to Frank gives them an immediate interim option should the Dane leave after the Dortmund game.

In terms of longer-term options, Mauricio Pochettino is expected to be a candidate, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, although he is unavailable until after the World Cup as he leads the USA at their home tournament.

Pochettino has claimed in recent months that he would 'love' to return to the Premier League, and he is still thought fondly of by supporters of the club.

Roberto De Zerbi and Andoni Iraola, of Marseille and Bournemouth respectively, could be two other options for Spurs, along with two recently out-of-work managers in Xabi Alonso and Enzo Maresca.
