Fabrizio Romano: Man Utd 'On a Mission' After Scouting 'Explosive' £87m Forward - GiveMeSport
Description

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among several Premier League clubs monitoring 'explosive' winger Yan Diomande, according to GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The young wide player has attracted increasing attention following his performances at club level and on the international stage, with scouts from England now keeping a close eye on his development.

Premier League clubs monitoring Yan Diomande

Speaking about Diomande, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the winger is being followed by a number of Premier League sides.

“I’m told there are several Premier League clubs following this boy,” Romano said. “He’s playing for Red Bull Leipzig, doing very well, also for Ivory Coast at the AFCON.”

Diomande currently plays for RB Leipzig and has also been representing Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations, where his performances have further raised his profile among scouts.

Romano highlighted the winger’s key attributes, pointing to his pace and dribbling ability as standout qualities.

“He’s a very talented winger with dribbling, with pace,” Romano added. “He’s a very good player, very good talent, very interesting, with big potential.”

Manchester United and Tottenham scouting missions confirmed

Romano went on to explain that interest in Diomande is widespread and not limited to just one or two clubs. However, he confirmed that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have both taken concrete steps to scout the player in person.

“For young man Diomande, what I can tell you is that among many clubs, it’s not only about these two,” Romano said. “But among many clubs, recently Manchester United and Tottenham were on a mission to scout this boy.”

The update confirms that both clubs have watched Diomande - valued at more than £87m according to Florian Plettenberg - as part of their wider scouting activity, placing him firmly on their radar.

‘A talent to watch for the future’

Romano stressed that Diomande is viewed as a player for the future rather than someone being discussed in immediate transfer terms.

“He’s considered a talent to watch for the future,” Romano said.

While Romano did not suggest that talks, negotiations or bids are underway, his comments underline the growing level of attention around the Leipzig winger. The situation, as described, remains focused on scouting and monitoring rather than movement.

With several Premier League clubs following his progress and confirmed scouting interest from Manchester United and Tottenham, Diomande’s performances for both club and country have ensured he remains one of the young players being closely watched. For now, his development continues to be tracked, with his potential clearly recognised at the highest level.

Crystal Palace ‘Frontrunners’ to Sign £125,000-a-Week Premier League Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Crystal Palace are among the front-runners to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson in January, according to reports.

The Selhurst Park side are eyeing a move for the Wales international when the market reopens next month but could face competition from a host of English clubs.

Ipswich Town and Brentford are also said to be keen on Johnson’s arrival at the turn of the year, with the 24-year-old expected to depart Spurs in search of regular playing time elsewhere.

Johnson has made only six Premier League starts under Thomas Frank this term, scoring his only two goals in the opening two games of the campaign.

Brennan Johnson Wanted by Palace

According to former Everton CEO Keith Wyness, Palace and Ipswich are the two front-runners to sign Johnson, who is expected to leave Tottenham ‘fairly soon’ in January:

“But certainly I think Palace. I also heard Brentford, but I do think that Palace and Ipswich are the two front-runners. I expect him to move fairly soon.”

Johnson joined Tottenham from Nottingham Forest in September 2023 and has since made 106 appearances for the club, scoring 27 goals and providing 18 assists.

The £125,000-a-week winger has yet to register a goal involvement for Spurs since the start of September, going goalless in his last 13 league appearances under Frank.

Johnson, who is under contract until June 2028, was brought off the bench in Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool last weekend but struggled to make his presence felt, making just 13 touches and attempting one shot in 32 minutes on the pitch.

Glasner Set for Selhurst Park Exit

A move for Johnson in January could end up being one of the last signings overseen by Oliver Glasner as Palace boss, with the Austrian tactician expected to depart Selhurst Park at the end of the season.

According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, Glasner does not intend to renew his contract, which runs until June 2026, and is anticipated to leave his role after the campaign.

Glasner took over at Palace in February 2024, replacing Roy Hodgson, and won two trophies this year, the FA Cup and the Community Shield.

Palace are sitting ninth in the Premier League after 17 games this season, three points off Chelsea in fourth.

Oscar Bobb Seen as Johnson Alternative

According to reports, Palace view Manchester City rising star Oscar Bobb as a potentially cheaper alternative to Johnson in January.

The 22-year-old winger could be allowed to leave City if they manage to sign Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo next month, having struggled for regular minutes under Pep Guardiola this season.

Semenyo Alternative: Tottenham Want to Sign Juventus Star Kenan Yildiz

Semenyo Alternative: Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign 'Future Ballon d'Or Winner' - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing up a move to sign Juventus star Kenan Yildiz in 2026 as his contract talks stall, according to Tutto Juve.

The Lilywhites are having a difficult campaign so far under new manager Thomas Frank despite a strong summer transfer window in which they signed Kota Takai, Joao Palhinha, Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani.

But after the departure of Heung-Min Son in the summer, plus injury problems for the likes of Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison have seen the club look for solutions in attack going forward, and several targets have been identified.

Tottenham Want Yildiz After Semenyo Snub

Reports recently have suggested that Tottenham approached the in-demand Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, offering a sizable salary to try and convince him to join them over other clubs in the Premier League.

However, the Ghana forward rejected their advances and has instead made the decision to join Manchester City, with a deal expected to be completed early on in the January window as a result of his £65m release clause expiring on January 10th.

That has now forced Spurs to look for alternative solutions to their winger problems, and Juventus star Kenan Yildiz has emerged as a potential target amid ongoing concerns about his long-term future in Turin.

The Turkey international is demanding a salary of around €5m net per year (£160,000-a-week) to re-sign, to signify his new status as one of the club's top players. However, Juventus are reticent to give him that and talks are ongoing, with no agreement currently in sight.

That has alerted some of Europe's top clubs, including Tottenham, to the situation, and it's reported that the current Europa League holders would be willing to meet his demands to bring him to the Premier League. Yildiz, who has been tipped to be a 'future Ballon d'Or winner', has registered six goals and seven assists in 21 appearances this season.

Yildiz Perfect Fit for Spurs Left-Wing

After Son left the club, the left-wing has been somewhat of a problem position for Frank this season. Richarlison has played better as a number nine, while Wilson Odobert and Xavi have struggled to make the role their own.

The arrival of a player like Yildiz would be a real statement of intent, despite him being just 20, and would show that the clubs owners are prepared to spend big if it means taking the team up to the next level.

Whether Spurs would be able to see off competition from other clubs to get a deal done remains to be seen, but Yildiz's tricky and direct style would be the perfect fit for the left-wing at the club and it's a deal they should throw everything at.

Fabrizio Romano: Radu Dragusin Could Leave Tottenham in January

Fabrizio Romano: ‘Outstanding’ Tottenham Star Could Leave in January With Bissouma - GiveMeSport
Description

Radu Dragusin could leave Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window amid Serie A interest, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The Romanian defender has yet to feature for Thomas Frank’s side this season and could be on his way out of North London just 24 months after his arrival from Genoa in January 2024.

Romano says Dragusin is one to watch during the winter market, as Tottenham could allow the centre-back to depart following his return from a lengthy injury absence.

The 23-year-old made the matchday squad for the first time this season in Tottenham’s 2-1 loss to Liverpool last weekend but remained an unused substitute.

Radu Dragusin Could Leave Spurs

Speaking on his Italian YouTube channel, Romano revealed that Serie A duo Roma and Fiorentina are interested in Dragusin ahead of the January transfer window:

“A name to keep an eye on certainly during the winter market is that of Radu Dragusin, central defender of Tottenham, who is returning from an injury and who could return to Italy.

“In this case we must be patient with Tottenham, because as of today, Tottenham have not given the okay for the player, but it is expected that this matter could be unlocked in the coming weeks.”

“Two clubs that have started, as far as I understand, to think about it are Roma and Fiorentina.”

Dragusin last featured for Spurs in January, when he suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the 3-0 win over Elfsborg in the Europa League.

The 'outstanding' 23-year-old has made only 37 appearances for Tottenham since joining, including 18 Premier League starts.

Tottenham could also look to sell Yves Bissouma when the market reopens next month, after the midfielder was filmed inhaling laughing gas last month.

Paratici to Seek Dragusin Reunion?

Fiorentina’s interest in Dragusin could be linked to their ongoing talks to appoint Tottenham’s co-sporting director Fabio Paratici as their new head of football.

The Serie A side are reportedly negotiating over the Italian executive’s arrival on a long-term deal and want Paratici to become a key part of their project.

Paratici only returned to Tottenham in October, joining as joint sporting director alongside Johan Lange.

The 53-year-old first joined Spurs in 2021 and spent two years at the club before being banned from football for his role in alleged false accounting at his former club, Juventus.

Tottenham May Need Another Defender

Dragusin’s departure in January could leave Tottenham in need of reinforcements at centre-back, as they would have to mostly rely on the trio of Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Kevin Danso.

Spurs also have veteran Ben Davies, who has played just 53 minutes this season, and youngster Kota Takai, who has yet to feature.

Forget Semenyo: Tottenham Must Sign Savinho After Ornstein Update

Forget Semenyo: Tottenham Must Swoop For 'World Class' Star Amid Transfer Update - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham may have been dealt a silver lining after missing out on a deal to sign Antoine Semenyo. The Bournemouth star signaled his preference to join Manchester City next month despite interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Spurs in his services.

Semenyo has a £65million release clause in his contract and the 25-year-old has stated that he'd like to join Pep Guardiola's side due to their credentials as trophy challengers and regulars in Europe.

Thomas Frank's side are still looking for attack-minded players but that deal for Semenyo may have opened the door to a deal of their own ahead of the January window.

Tottenham Want Savinho

Tottenham are considering a move to sign Savinho in January, it was revealed by David Ornstein last week. Having been a transfer target for Spurs in the summer, the Brazilian star was keen on a move to north London. However, the deal never materialised due to Man City being reluctant to sell.

Described as being 'world class', Savinho has struggled to break into Guardiola's plans this term having started just nine of his 21 appearances this term. In those matches, he has scored two goals and provided three assists.

Preferring Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki behind Erling Haaland, it means that Savinho could be surplus to requirements if Semenyo joins as well.

Savinho Is The Missing Piece For Spurs

While he may have fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, there's no doubting that Savinho is a class act. At 21 years of age, the Brazilian is still extremely young and is only going to get better. However, with three goals and 13 assists in his debut season at City, it is clear to see that he's a player of immense quality.

Assists and trickery are the name of the game for Savinho. The Brazilian is a winger who looks to provide width and balls into the box for the strikers and that's something that could really benefit Spurs. Thomas Frank's side don't have much quality in wide areas and as a result, Savinho could immediately add something different to their squad if he was to join.

A deal might not be cheap for Tottenham to pull off, but with Semenyo joining, it feels like the 21-year-old's first-team hopes are only going to reduce and therefore, Spurs may just be able to strike a deal that would be something of a coup for the January window.

5 Tottenham Gifts Thomas Frank Would Like This Christmas

Five Perfect Tottenham Gifts For Thomas Frank This Christmas - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham have had a pretty poor 2025 by their own standards, even despite winning the Europa League back in May, and Thomas Frank will be hoping he finds some help under his Christmas tree before the end of the year.

After replacing Ange Postecoglou in the summer, the Dane started the season in great fashion and had the team flying near the top of the division. But in recent months, the team have struggled for creativity going forward, stability in defence, and a connection with the fans, which has led to speculation over his future.

Spurs now won't play until Sunday, December 28th when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace, and Frank will be hoping that he has had a successful Christmas Day, which will have seen him unwrap some much-needed help for the year ahead.

A Run of Positive Results

Tottenham are currently on a poor run of form with just two wins from their last nine games in all competitions, but more worrying has been the nature of some of those defeats - against the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, and Liverpool, in particular.

That has seen fans begin to turn on him and the team, and as a result, the manager will now be desperate for a positive run of results to ease that pressure and also get him back in favour with the fans as he was at the start of the campaign.

The next six games will see matches against Palace, Brentford, Sunderland, Bournemouth, Aston Villa in the FA Cup and West Ham. Avoiding defeat in all of those will surely help, and would likely be the first request if someone asked what he wanted for Christmas.

Common Sense from Cristian Romero

While there is no doubting that Cristian Romero is the right choice to be captain for the north London club, and he is one of the better defenders at the club, he lets the team down far too often.

The Argentine was sent off against Liverpool for two yellow cards despite not conceding a foul in the game, one for dissent and one for kicking out at Ibrahima Konate for no reason at all. But it's not the first time that he has seen the red mist descend in his Spurs career, and it means he's becoming a liability for the team.

Frank will be praying that while he keeps the aggression and intensity in his game, he can find some common sense to go alongside it and stop those moments from becoming too frequent.

Backing From The Tottenham Board

With some poor results and plenty of criticism, Frank needs some backing from the Spurs board heading into the new year to ensure that he can carry on doing his job.

The manager was backed in the summer transfer window with several new arrivals, and they have all struggled to hit the ground running. But with a bit more time to work with them, implement his ideas and fine-tune things, Frank will be able to show why he was so highly coveted in the summer and ultimately selected by Tottenham to come in and lead them.

With some backing from the board, it will allow him to get on with things without being worried about the sack being around the corner after another bad result, so it could give him a good peace of mind.

Xavi Simons to Come to Life

The biggest signing of the summer for Spurs was their surprise acquisition of Xavi Simons, who had seemingly been on the verge of a move to Chelsea for weeks before eventually agreeing to move to north London instead.

But the Netherlands international has really struggled to make an impact, registering just two goals and three assists in 22 appearances for the club so far. His lack of impact has undoubtedly made things more difficult for Frank, and if he is going to get Spurs firing once again then he needs his star playmaker to find some form.

Before his recent red card against Liverpool he seemed to be finding his groove, with two goals and an assist in his previous three games, so coming back from his suspension to find his form again would be great for Frank and Tottenham.

A New Number Nine in the Transfer Window

Spurs were keen to find a new striker in the summer and eventually settled on a loan move for Randal Kolo Muani on deadline day. The France international has struggled for form, scoring twice in the Champions League but failing to find the net in the Premier League so far.

Richarlison has been their most reliable threat in front of goal so far, but his overall play and injury record remains a problem, while Dominic Solanke has barely featured this season due to a number of injury problems himself.

A new number nine is arguably the priority for Frank heading into the January window, and if you gave him the option to secure one deal then it would surely be that.

Simon Jordan Blames 'Karma' After Alexander Isak's Liverpool Injury

Fans Call for Simon Jordan To Be 'Sacked' Over 'Disgusting' Comments on Alexander Isak's Injury - GiveMeSport
Description

Pundit Simon Jordan has come under fire for suggesting that “karma” was at play when Alexander Isak picked up a bad injury vs Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend. The Liverpool striker hurt himself as he scored in the 2-1 away victory against Spurs, suffering what is feared to be a broken leg.

The Swedish ace was caught late by Tottenham defender Micky Van de Ven as he fired the Reds into the lead on Saturday evening, and immediately had to come off with what has now been confirmed by the club as a fibula fracture. It's understood that Isak will now spend several months on the sidelines, having suffered this significant setback.

It's been a stop-start early period at Liverpool for Isak since his Premier League record transfer in the summer, and he will now likely be out for months. Even so, not everyone has sympathy for the forward, it seems.

Simon Jordan Makes 'Mean-Spirited' Isak Claim

Speaking on TalkSport, pundit and former Crystal Palace owner Jordan suggested Isak was, to some degree, getting what he deserved for his behaviour in the summer. The striker forced a move away from Newcastle ahead of the 2025/26 season, informing the club that he had no intention to play for the Magpies going forward.

The Swede accused the club of breaking promises, and missed out on pre-season under Eddie Howe, until eventually getting his Anfield move, arriving for a British-record deal worth £125m. Just two league goals have come for Isak since, though. Following this latest injury set-back, Jordan spoke about “karma” when discussing the player's misfortune:

“I’m desperately trying to avoid myself disappearing into the ghost of Jacob Marley, and looking at the karma of Alexander Isak’s position in terms of not landing at Liverpool and achieving very much. He now potentially finds himself out for the season. I’m desperately trying to avoid that version of myself.

“I don’t want anyone breaking their legs, but I also look at the dynamics of how people behave and think, sometimes, that what goes around comes around. That’s mean-spirited, I know."

He then went on to explain the alternative options Liverpool can play instead of Isak in the mean-time, adding:

“So then you move onto the situation surrounding Liverpool. They're not exactly devoid of a decent squad. The Isak transaction is always what they were prepared to spend. It’s not £125million down the drain because it will come again. It’s just an unfortunate set of circumstances where they have Mohamed Salah thinking he can say whatever he wants, you’ve got Cody Gakpo who hasn’t been in the best form and (Hugo) Ekitikke who probably thought he should be the man anyways.”

Unsurprisingly, Jordan's blunt take on the matter – 'mean-spirited' by his own account – has not gone down particularly well with fans online. One called it: "Disgusting." While another was far from impressed with the "Horrible comments."

A third remarked: "What a classless individual, who says such things." And a fourth said: "What a really odd thing to come out with."

One summed up the mood, saying:

"He REALLY went there???? Wow. What a horrible comment. No player deserves to be badly injured. Grim stuff from Jordan."

Some were so unimpressed, they suggested that he should lose his job. One said: "He needs sacking." A final fan conluded: "Needs sacked by Talksport."

Alongside Savinho: Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign 'World-Class' Man City Star - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are exploring a 'stunning' January move for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, according to reports.

The North London side are looking to add extra firepower to Thomas Frank’s squad at the turn of the year and have reportedly identified Marmoush as an alternative to Antoine Semenyo.

Marmoush has struggled for regular opportunities under Pep Guardiola this term, totalling just 206 minutes of Premier League football across 10 appearances.

The Egyptian forward, who is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations, has only made four starts across all competitions, scoring once.

Tottenham Eyeing Omar Marmoush Swoop

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are looking at signing Marmoush as a versatile option to bolster their attack, with the 26-year-old able to play both out wide and centrally.

Spurs are believed to be admirers of the Egyptian’s technical ability and goal-scoring prowess, which he demonstrated at Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.

Marmoush registered an impressive 37 goals and 20 assists in just 67 appearances for the German side, where he spent 18 months before joining Manchester City in January 2024.

However, a move for Marmoush may prove difficult for Tottenham to pursue in January, with Guardiola reportedly expected to resist any departure.

The Catalan tactician values the 26-year-old’s role in squad rotation, and Spurs may need to present a convincing offer to lure him away from the Etihad Stadium mid-season.

Marmoush, praised as 'world-class', is under contract with Manchester City until the end of the 2028/29 season.

Semenyo Snubs Tottenham Move

Tottenham are believed to be viewing Marmoush as an alternative to both his Man City teammate Savinho and their long-standing target Semenyo.

The Ghanaian forward is expected to leave Bournemouth in January but is unlikely to choose North London as his next destination.

According to reports, despite Tottenham’s willingness to offer a significant salary, Semenyo has snubbed the possibility of joining the club amid interest from other Premier League sides.

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are front-runners to sign the 25-year-old in January, with Liverpool also paying close attention to his situation on the Dorset coast.

Paratici Close to Leaving for Fiorentina

Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici is close to leaving the club for a return to Italy, with Serie A side Fiorentina advancing on a deal to appoint the 53-year-old as head of football.

Paratici only made his return to North London in October, joining as joint sporting director alongside Johan Lange.

David Ornstein: ‘World-Class’ Star Rejects Tottenham After ‘Significant’ Salary Offer - GiveMeSport
Description

Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo has rejected interest from Tottenham Hotspur despite a potential ‘significant’ salary offer, journalist David Ornstein has revealed.

The Ghanaian forward will not be taking his talents to North London when the transfer market reopens next month, despite long-standing interest from Spurs.

Ornstein says Semenyo is ‘focusing on other options’ at the minute as he is expected to depart the Dorset coast in January, with Manchester City and Manchester United believed to be front-runners for his signature.

Semenyo is available via a £65m release clause next month, active in the early days of the winter market.

Semenyo Snubs Move to Spurs

Ornstein, speaking on NBC Sports, revealed that Tottenham were very keen on Semenyo and were prepared to pay a ‘significant’ salary to the 25-year-old winger:

“Tottenham Hotspur were very keen, and, I'm led to believe, were prepared to pay a significant salary to Antoine Semenyo, but he politely is focusing on other options.”

Semenyo has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 16 appearances.

Only Erling Haaland (19) and Igor Thiago (11) have more goals than the Ghanaian forward this term, while Semenyo also ranks joint-11th in assists among all players in the league.

The 'world-class' 25-year-old scored Bournemouth’s only goal in the 1-1 draw with Burnley, his second of the week after netting in the 4-4 draw with Manchester United.

Bournemouth’s league position is unlikely to do them any favours in their hopes of retaining Semenyo until the end of the campaign, with the Cherries failing to win their last eight games and sitting 14th in the table after 17 games.

Another Premier League Star Snubs Tottenham

Tottenham failing in their pursuit of Semenyo marks another player the North London side have missed out on in recent months.

Spurs were forced to accept defeat numerous times during the summer transfer window, with their targets Bryan Mbeumo, Eberechi Eze, Savinho and Morgan Gibbs-White either staying put or choosing to join their Premier League rivals.

Tottenham have been underwhelming under head coach Thomas Frank this season, winning six of their 17 games.

The Lilywhites have taken just five points from the last possible 24 and suffered a 2-1 defeat to reigning champions Liverpool on Saturday.

Sitting 13th and level on points with Bournemouth, Spurs visit Crystal Palace on Sunday in their final game of the year.

David Ornstein: Liverpool Forward Alexander Isak Suffers Leg Break as Timeline Claim Made - GiveMeSport
Description

Liverpool forward Alexander Isak has suffered a leg break after picking up the injury against Tottenham Hotspur, David Ornstein has confirmed.

Isak suffered the injury against Spurs after coming off the bench. The Swedish international scored Liverpool's second goal of the match, but he was injured in the process during a challenge with Tottenham defender Micky Van de Ven.

Ornstein reported earlier on Sunday that Isak had suffered a 'significant' injury, but the severity was yet to be revealed. Liverpool supporters will have been patiently waiting to discover how long their big-money summer signing will be out for, especially after he picked up a goal at the weekend.

Liverpool Injury Fears Confirmed With Alexander Isak

According to The Athletic's Ornstein, Liverpool's fears are set to be confirmed, with Isak suffering a leg break against Tottenham. The Reds are yet to comment on the severity of Isak's injury, but he looks set to be out for a number of months.

Isak was helped off the pitch by Liverpool's physio staff, just about managing to walk, but he certainly looked in some immense pain. The former Newcastle United striker was replaced by Jeremie Frimpong in the second half, despite Isak only coming on after the break, and the Reds are now set to be without him for an extended period.

It's currently unclear exactly how long Isak is going to be watching on from the sidelines, but he's certainly going to miss a few months of action.

Pressure on Ekitike to Perform for Liverpool

Arne Slot has a lack of options in the centre-forward position, and with Isak on the treatment table for the foreseeable future, the pressure is going to be on Hugo Ekitike to perform. Thankfully for Liverpool, the French international has arguably been their best summer signing, and he's adapted to the Premier League with ease so far.

If Ekitike were to suffer an injury, it would be interesting to see what route Slot goes down, as he and Isak are the only natural centre-forwards at the club as it stands.
