Description

Tottenham has now been linked with a shock move for an Arsenal forward, with the Gunners open to cashing in on their forgotten man.

Tottenham Hotspur are actively in the market for a new centre-forward ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, as Thomas Frank looks to reshape the squad with a new attacking focal point.

Brentford’s Yoane Wissa has been mooted as a target for Tottenham, and the player is believed to be pushing for a move away, although Tottenham face competition from several other clubs for his signature.

Despite the numerous links, Spurs are yet to bring in a forward, and with the new season just weeks away, the urgency to secure one is becoming increasingly clear.

Tottenham eye Gabriel Jesus transfer from Arsenal

Caughtoffside now report that Tottenham are one of the clubs monitoring Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus this summer window.

Jesus has featured in 96 matches for Arsenal and scored 26 goals, but his time at the Emirates has been plagued by recurring injuries, which have disrupted his rhythm and availability.

European giants such as Milan and Barcelona are also believed to be monitoring the Brazilian’s situation, while interest from clubs in his homeland remains. However, any serious move is expected to come during the winter transfer window once Jesus regains full fitness.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Spurs may need to look beyond Jesus if Heung-min Son leaves

Tottenham could be forced into signing a new forward this summer if Heung-min Son departs, with Major League Soccer side LA FC reportedly interested in the South Korean international.

Son is a club legend, and any final decision on Son’s future is likely to follow the club’s pre-season tour of Asia and Korea, where he is expected to feature prominently.

Should he leave, Spurs would be left with a gaping hole in attack, and while signing a player of Gabriel Jesus’ pedigree might be tempting, gambling on another injury-prone option, especially given Richarlison’s own record, may not be the smartest move.

Let’s be honest, a transfer between Tottenham and Arsenal is never likely to happen anyway.

Description

One club has emerged as the frontrunner to sign Mikey Moore on loan this summer, and it could see the Tottenham starlet play Champions League football this season.

Mikey Moore’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has been well reported on over the past few weeks, as the teenager could very much be heading out of N17 this summer.

It is understood that Moore is in search of gametime and is open to leaving Tottenham to get more minutes under his belt.

Spurs are also believed not to be willing to stand in Moore’s way this summer, even leaving him out of their Asia tour squad, allowing for Moore and other youngsters to work on securing loan moves away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this transfer window.

Rangers lead race to sign Tottenham’s Mikey Moore on loan

A fresh report from Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph has now confirmed that several clubs are interested in taking Mikey Moore out on loan this summer.

The journalist has revealed that there is plenty of interest in the 17-year-old from sides in the Championship. However, it is claimed that Rangers are the ones who have emerged as favourites to sign Moore on loan, and that the Scottish side is seen as Moore’s most likely destination.

His tweet reads: “Rangers have emerged as favourites to sign Mikey Moore on loan from Tottenham. There’s been a lot of interest, particularly from the Championship, but Rangers are seen as the most likely destination.”

Why Rangers move makes sense for Moore and Spurs

Moore is one of the brightest players to have come out of the Tottenham academy in recent years.

The teenager had his breakthrough moment for Spurs back in October 2024, where he made his debut for the first team at just 16, becoming the youngest ever Spurs player to do so in the Premier League.

However, the teenager has never been out on loan, and this indeed is a big moment in his professional career. Sending Moore to the Championship seems like the best option for Tottenham, as he would get some much-needed time to adapt to the physicality of English football.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are set to receive yet another transfer blow just hours after it emerged that Morgan Gibbs-White had signed a new contract at Nottingham Forest.

It emerged on Saturday that Gibbs-White had agreed a new deal with Forest, which came as a massive setback to Tottenham Hotspur, who had worked on the deal for the last two and a half weeks after activating the midfielder’s release clause.

Before the development, it had been reported that Spurs were confident of getting the Gibbs-White deal over the line. The North London club’s confidence might have led to them abandoning their pursuit of a Dutch attacking midfielder.

Prior to the Gibbs-White saga, Spurs had been installed as the favourites to land Xavi Simons. In fact, some sources even claimed that Tottenham had spoken to Simon’s agent about a move to N17.

Tottenham set to miss out on Xavi Simons

However, Spurs may have halted their pursuit of the RB Leipzig star after pushing ahead with a move for the Nottingham Forest man, and that has allowed their London rivals to advance on a deal for the Netherlands international.

According to various journalists, including Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are now holding ‘advanced talks’ over Simons, with negotiations between the parties said to be progressing well.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Meanwhile, Sebastien Vidal has asserted that the Blues are now ‘closing in’ on Simons, adding that the young attacking midfielder is keen on completing a move to Stamford Bridge.

Spurs fans will be livid with the club’s inaction

Over the past week, Spurs fans have been calling for the club to abandon their pursuit of Gibbs-White and pursue other alternatives.

However, Tottenham kept persisting with the deal in the hope they could get it over the line, partly driven by the fact that Thomas Frank is a huge fan of Gibbs-White.

The Lilywhites’ error in judgment now means that they could also end up missing out on Simons, who appears to be on his way to Stamford Bridge.

Description

Alan Brazil has opined that a rumoured Tottenham target would undoubtedly strengthen Thomas Frank’s midfield, but he has urged his club to stop the player from making a switch to North London.

We know that Spurs are now turning their attention to signing a number six, with reports indicating that the Lilywhites are expected to add a defensive midfielder after offloading Yves Bissouma.

It has been reported by a number of sources over the last few days that Tottenham are considering a move for Kobbie Mainoo, whose future at Man United is thought to be in doubt.

It has been alleged that Mainoo has emerged as a realistic target for Spurs as the contract talks between the 20-year-old and the Red Devils have now hit a stalemate.

Alan Brazil urges Manchester United to keep Kobbie Mainoo away from Tottenham

Alan Brazil is in no doubt that the England international’s signing would improve Tottenham Hotspur, insisting that the Lilywhites’ midfield is in desperate need of reinforcements.

However, he suggested that Rubem Amorim’s men would be making a mistake by letting such a talented, young player leave.

When asked about the speculation linking Kobbie Mainoo with a move to Tottenham, the pundit told talkSPORT: “He’s only young, isn’t he, and if I were United I’d want to keep him, but it’s up to the manager. Amorim, he’s seen enough of him now to know if he’s his type of player, [or] not in his plans. Is he his type of player?

MORE SPURS STORIES

“I’ve always said that Tottenham’s midfield is not good enough; they need more pace in there, so the jury is out here. I’d like to see him stay at United, I’d like to see him get his career back on track, like playing every week and starting. But he could be alright for Spurs — that’s a good one that is. I’m not sure, I’m going to sit on the fence on this.”

What is the issue between Man United and Mainoo?

A couple of days ago, Dean Saunders revealed that he knows the Man United star’s agent and explained why a new contract has not been signed by the youngster.

Saunders claimed that Man United are hesitating to put Mainoo in the same pay bracket as their other midfield stars, thus potentially opening the door for Spurs and others to poach the 20-year-old.

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to drop their asking price for Heung-min Son by nearly half to ensure that the Spurs captain gets the move that he wants.

It has been widely reported over the last week that Son could leave Tottenham following their pre-season tour of South Korea.

It emerged a few days ago that Los Angeles FC have now submitted an official offer to Tottenham for Son, but it is not yet clear what the value of their bid is.

According to a new update, the Lilywhites are now ready to drop their asking price for the forward considerably if the player decides that he wants to join the MLS club.

Tottenham ready to slash Heung-min Son asking price after LAFC approach

GiveMeSport claim that Spurs valued Son at around £35m earlier this summer as they anticipated Saudi Pro League clubs to make a move.

However, they have now learned that their captain is not keen on making a move to the Middle East and would prefer a switch to the United States.

Spurs chiefs are aware that LAFC or other MLS clubs would not be able to pay big money for Son and are thus willing to accept £15m-£20m if the South Korean signals an intention to move to America.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Tottenham Hotspur want to part ways with the player on good terms, with the MLS thought to be emerging as the most likely destination for the 33-year-old this summer.

Son will make the final decision on his future

Last week, Thomas Frank admitted that Tottenham face a ‘tricky’ decision on Son’s future, given that he has given a decade of loyal service to the club.

It has been widely reported that Tottenham will allow Son to decide if he wants to stay or leave this summer, with the Lilywhites having no intention of pushing him out the door even though he has only one year left on his contract.

Tottenham supporters believe they have uncovered a significant clue in Thomas Frank’s search for a new club captain, following the emergence of a video involving Cristian Romero.

Thomas Frank is yet to make a final decision on who will wear the armband for Tottenham ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, with the new head coach recently revealing that he has compiled a long list of leadership qualities he values in a captain.

Heung-min Son has led Tottenham Hotspur for the past two seasons and firmly etched his name into club folklore by lifting the Europa League trophy as captain last term, adding a crowning moment to his Spurs legacy.

While Son remains a contender, the uncertainty surrounding his future has created an open race for the captaincy – one that appears to be intensifying as pre-season unfolds.

Tottenham fans spot captaincy hint in Cristian Romero video

In recent pre-season encounters, both Cristian Romero and Heung-min Son have been seen wearing the armband, as Thomas Frank continues to assess his leadership options on the pitch.

In the clash against Wycombe Wanderers, when both Romero and Son were on the pitch, the 33-year-old Korean star was handed the armband.

Now, a new video clip circulating on social media has shown Thomas Frank deep in conversation with Cristian Romero, sparking intrigue among supporters who believe the footage offers insight into the manager’s thinking.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Many Tottenham fans are convinced that the Argentine defender is being groomed for the captaincy, interpreting the exchange between coach and player as a telling moment in the selection process.

One supporter wrote: “Tottenham fans think they have spotted clue to Thomas Frank’s new captain.” Another said: “Frank soooo choosing him as captain!!”

A third added: “Even if Son stays, which I do not think he will, Cuti is getting that armband.” Another fan commented: “Refreshing to see a Spurs account not try to spin this as a negative story. Captain and his coach talking for sure.” A final fan added: “Looks that way 🙏”

Heung-min Son uncertainty gives Cristian Romero the edge

Heung-min Son may be heading for the exit door at Tottenham, with speculation over the forward’s future continuing to gather momentum by the day.

Reports have linked Son with a move to Major League Soccer, where Los Angeles FC are reportedly pushing hard to secure his services this summer.

Description

Thomas Frank has now revealed why Dominic Solanke did not feature in Tottenham’s pre-season friendly against Luton Town on Saturday, as Spurs announce bad news on Destiny Udogie.

Both Udogie and Solanke were not part of the Spurs team which took to the field at Hotspur Way against Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday morning.

The striker and the left-back were expected to play against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, but neither played any part in the 0-0 draw against the Championship side.

Instead, it was Mathys Tel who was leading the line against the Hatters while Jamie Donley was a late surprise inclusion at left-back.

Thomas Frank provides good news on Dominic Solanke

Some Spurs fans may have feared the worst about the pair’s absence, but Frank has now assuaged their concerns by revealing that both players were left out as a precaution.

The Dane insisted that there was nothing to be worried about with the striker or the left-back ahead of Tottenham’s pre-season tour to Asia.

When asked why Solanke was not involved against Luton, Frank said (via Football.London): “Dom has a minor ankle issue, nothing we’re worried about, just a precaution for today.”

MORE SPURS STORIES

Unfortunately, Udogie will miss Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Asia after feeling a muscular issue in the warm-up for the Luton Town match.

Spurs now head out on tour without a recognised left-back, beyond Ben Davies who has played more as a centre-back in recent years, and the right-footed Djed Spence.

Why Rodrigo Bentancur did not feature in either of Tottenham’s friendlies

Even though Rodrigo Bentancur was named in the starting line-up for the clash against Wycombe, the midfielder did not take to the pitch.

It was academy midfielder George Abbott who took to the field instead of Uruguayan, whose name was removed from the starting eleven just 30 minutes before kick-off.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White looked to be moving in the right direction, but in the end, the club have been left red-faced. Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has now had his say, and his comments will not sit well in north London.

It is back to the drawing board for Tottenham Hotspur, who would have been hoping to have at least added one more new signing before jetting off for their pre-season tour of Asia.

It looked as though those plans were very much in motion, after reports emerged stating that Tottenham had activated Morgan Gibbs-White’s release clause and even had a medical booked 24 hours later.

A constant back-and-forth, which included Forest taking legal action against Tottenham, has been the theme of recent reports in the last two weeks, until it emerged yesterday that Morgan Gibbs-White had chosen to extend his stay at the City Ground, signing a three-year deal.

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis aims dig at Tottenham over Morgan Gibbs-White

Forest owner Marinakis, who has been at the thick of the action, has now aimed a dig at Spurs after their failed attempts to lure Gibbs-White away from his club.

The Forest owner made it clear that as long as he is in charge of the club, every approach must take place in an appropriate manner.

He said (TalkSPORT): “As long as I am in charge of all of these actions, approaches should take place, I repeat, in an appropriate manner.

“I would never let anyone from any other team get a player from us or make something we do not agree with.

“And especially, as I said, with some guys that they belong to our family. Therefore, with Morgan, it did not take long to come to an agreement. It was a very short conversation, full of passion and love for the club.

“So when you have passion, when you have love for something, it is a matter of a few seconds to agree. And all our supporters should know that this guy loves the club.”

Spurs fans react as Gibbs-White snubbed N17 move

Tottenham fans do not appear to be losing sleep over the loss, as several fans have been quick to name ten alternatives they want Spurs to turn their attention to, following the latest Gibbs-White twist

Of course, it had long been reported by several outlets that Morgan Gibbs-White was keen on a move to Tottenham, which served as a boost in Tottenham’s pursuit of the Englishman.

Thomas Frank reveals good and bad news from Tottenham’s two friendly draws

Thomas Frank reveals good and bad news from Tottenham’s two friendly draws - Spurs Web
Description

Thomas Frank liked what he saw from his side in one of their two friendlies on Saturday, but he admitted that their performance in the other game showed that Tottenham still have a lot of work to do.

In a rather unusual move, Tottenham played two pre-season friendlies on Saturday, first playing out a 2-2 draw against Wycombe at Hotspur Way before another team made the trip to Luton Town to play out a goalless draw.

Thomas Frank had explained that the idea was to get enough minutes into the legs of the whole squad, and he got what he wanted, with two evenly matched Spurs teams taking to the field in both matches.

However, the Dane has confessed that he saw a lot more positives in one game compared to the other.

Thomas Frank was delighted with Tottenham’s performance against Wycombe

The Spurs head coach revealed that he and his coaching staff took many positives from the earlier of the two friendlies, stating that he was pleased with his side’s pressing and ability to turn over possession.

He was also pleased with the threat that Tottenham Hotspur posed in attack against Wycombe and by how his defenders coped with the League One side’s runs in-behind.

When asked what he took from the 2-2 draw against Wycombe, Frank told Football.London: “With the Wycombe game, positives, I felt the high pressure and regaining of the ball was very successful in many ways throughout the game. We regained it, I don’t know how many times, but we created six, seven very dangerous situations where we should have done even more and scored a good second goal through Pape.

MORE SPURS STORIES

“Also, in the first minutes, Wycombe’s runs in behind were good, so we were really focused on that. The big focus is that we defend well, and we gave away two goals we shouldn’t have given away against Wycombe, scored two good goals from Pape, who is another positive in that game.”

Frank admits Spurs made mistakes against Luton Town

However, the 51-year-old confessed that he was not overly pleased with some aspects of Tottenham’s performance at Kenilworth Road.

While he was happy with the effort of his players, the new Spurs boss admitted that his team looked disjointed against the Championship outfit.

Frank added: “The Luton game, that was the game where I felt, ‘okay, there is a bit to be worked on’. That was two mixed teams, a little out of sync.

“The boys put everything into it, they were positive, heads down working hard, but those connections and relationships, they definitely weren’t fluent, but it’s good to have something to work on.”

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have had a change of heart regarding their young starlet and have reluctantly agreed to send him out on loan for the upcoming season.

Spurs fans will not be surprised at the level of interest that Mikey Moore is now generating, with the 17-year-old seen by many across English and European football as a generational talent.

It has been widely claimed that Moore is expected to sign a new contract at Tottenham when he turns 18 next month, but it turns out that the youngster is keen to go out on loan to get regular football next season.

This was the information provided a couple of days ago by Alasdair Gold, who explained that Thomas Frank now faces a big decision on Moore’s future, and it now appears that the Dane has made up his mind.

Tottenham ready to loan out Mikey Moore

According to Football Insider, Tottenham have now reluctantly agreed to loan out the young attacking midfielder so that he can continue developing.

Spurs had initially wanted to keep Moore at the club, but the teenager expressed a desire to go out on loan so that he could play regular football, with the aim of competing for a starting role at N17 on his return.

While Thomas Frank wanted to keep the Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate as a part of his squad, he has now had a change of heart.

MORE SPURS STORIES

The Lilywhites are now expected to grant the 17-year-old permission to leave in search of game time as several clubs queue up to land him. This has now been confirmed by the club, with Moore left out of the pre-season tour squad in order to explore a loan move away.

Two Championship clubs and other European sides are keen on Moore

Football Insider say that the Tottenham man is now attracting strong interest from Birmingham City and West Brom, with both clubs keen on securing his services on loan.

The Baggies are now managed by former Spurs midfielder and assistant coach, Ryan Mason, who knows Moore well from his time at Hotspur Way.

Apart from the Championship duo, leading Eredivisie sides have also expressed interest in taking the Spurs teenager to the Dutch top flight for the upcoming season.
