“Agent at work”: Tottenham attacker’s agent accused of trying to orchestrate an exit – report

Tottenham Hotspur are facing a significant decision regarding Richarlison’s future, with the Brazilian forward increasingly expected to leave this summer.

Despite being under contract until 2027, Richarlison’s time in North London has been under constant speculation, and his role in the squad appears uncertain.

Reports indicate that Spurs may have to accept a considerable financial loss if they decide to move him on.

Bryan King accuses Richarlison’s agent

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has suggested that the club will struggle to recoup anything close to the £60 million they paid Everton for Richarlison in 2022.

He believes that Spurs may only be able to fetch between £5-10 million for the forward, as few clubs would be willing to meet a higher valuation.

Speaking to Tottenham News, King said:

“I’d be quite pleased to see him moved on and new players brought in.

“I think any money that they could get for Richarlison would be welcomed. They brought him for a lot of money, they’re going to lose money on him, that is for sure.

“I can’t see Tottenham getting much more than a figure of £5/10million. Who is going to pay big money for him? They should’ve cut their losses before, for me it has been poor business. For all those clubs who were supposedly interested in the summer, nobody stepped in and brought him.

“Therefore, I think that was his agent at work.”

Since arriving at Tottenham, Richarlison’s stint has been hampered by inconsistency and recurring injuries. His first season saw him struggle to make an impact, scoring just once in the Premier League while missing large spells due to fitness concerns.

The 2023-24 campaign initially looked promising, particularly after the departure of Harry Kane, which seemingly opened up an opportunity for him to step up.

However, his struggles continued, as he endured a prolonged goal drought early in the season.

Following this difficult period, Richarlison spoke openly about his personal challenges before briefly rediscovering form, netting nine goals in eight league matches between December 2023 and February 2024.

Unfortunately, his resurgence was short-lived, as injury troubles resurfaced. He has missed 34 matches across all competitions this season, managing only 14 appearances while contributing three goals and one assist.

With Tottenham reinforcing their attacking options by bringing in Mathys Tel on loan—with an option to buy—and signing Dominic Solanke last summer, Richarlison’s place in the squad appears increasingly redundant.

If Spurs ultimately decide to offload him, they are likely to suffer a heavy financial setback, marking a disappointing conclusion to what was once seen as a promising transfer.

Former Tottenham fan favourite with 67 goals & 55 assists tipped to return to Spurs in a new role

Tottenham Hotspur supporters may one day witness the return of Dele Alli to North London, though possibly in a different role than before.

The former Spurs midfielder has experienced a sharp decline in his career over the past few years, but he recently made a significant step toward a comeback after being included in a matchday squad for Como in Serie A.

This marked his first appearance on a team sheet in over two years, with his last competitive outing dating back to February 2023 during his loan spell at Beşiktaş.

Since joining Como under the guidance of manager Cesc Fabregas, Alli has been steadily working his way back into the squad. Although he remained an unused substitute in a recent 2-1 loss to AS Roma, his selection for the squad is an encouraging sign.

Former Leicester City manager Martin Allen has suggested that while a return to Tottenham as a player is unlikely, Alli could still have a future at the club in a different capacity.

Allen believes that given his wealth of experience, both as a top-level footballer and someone who has faced significant personal and professional setbacks, Alli could be an invaluable mentor for young players.

He speculated that the former England international could take up a coaching or advisory role within Spurs’ academy, helping to guide rising talents on and off the pitch.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Allen remarked:

“Maybe that [a return to Tottenham] could be possible.

“Every football supporter will be wishing him well at Como. He’s had a big dip, which can happen. The fact that he’s bouncing back and getting back into the game, let’s hope he can do it.

“Maybe one day he can get back up to the level we know.

“A role at Tottenham maybe. I’m not sure if he’s a coach or a possible manager, an academy coach to give knowledge to young people.

“He may look at educating young players around depression and avoiding certain situations.“

Alli was once one of the brightest young talents in English football. After joining Spurs in 2015, he quickly became a key figure in the squad, winning consecutive PFA Young Player of the Year awards in 2016 and 2017. During his time with Tottenham, he made staggering 269 appearances, while impressively scoring 67 goals and providing 55 assists. (Transfermarkt)

Whether Alli returns to Spurs remains uncertain, but if he does, it would be a heartwarming reunion with the club where he made his name.

Tottenham to be without key first-team player vs AZ in what is a big blow

Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a major blow ahead of their decisive Europa League second leg against AZ Alkmaar, with Rodrigo Bentancur ruled out due to suspension.

The Uruguayan midfielder picked up a booking in the first leg, automatically ruling him out of the return fixture.

With Spurs trailing 1-0, manager Ange Postecoglou must reshuffle his midfield to compensate for Bentancur’s absence.

Bentancur’s absence gives Bissouma a chance to step up

One player who now has a golden opportunity to step up is Yves Bissouma.

The Malian international has endured an inconsistent season but could play a crucial role in Tottenham’s hopes of overturning the deficit.

Bissouma, under contract until 2026, has struggled for form and consistency, often finding himself substituted early or rotated out of the starting XI.

Reports suggest that Spurs may consider selling him in the summer to avoid the risk of losing him on a free transfer later.

Since arriving from Brighton in 2022 for £30 million, Bissouma has shown flashes of his ability to control the midfield, notably starting the 2023–24 season with Man of the Match performances against Brentford and Manchester United.

However, his overall impact has waned, with just two league goals in 33 appearances this campaign.

With Tottenham currently languishing in 13th place in the Premier League and already out of domestic cup competitions, winning the Europa League is their only shot at silverware this season.

Lifting the trophy would not only end the club’s 17-year title drought but also secure Champions League football for next season.

For Bissouma, this high-stakes clash is more than just an opportunity to help Spurs advance—it could also determine his future at the club.

A commanding performance against AZ Alkmaar might just convince Postecoglou and the Tottenham hierarchy that he still has a key role to play in their long-term plans.

Antoine Semenyo urged to snub Tottenham move

Bournemouth attacker Antoine Semenyo has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian International has done quite well for the Cherries this season and his performances have attracted the attention of Tottenham Hotspur. It will be interesting to see if the North London club come forward with an offer to sign him at the end of the season. They could use a versatile attacker like Semenyo, who is capable of operating across the front three.

Meanwhile, former Ghana international Matthew Amoah has revealed that joining Spurs would be a demotion for the 25-year-old Premier League attacker, and he should wait for a much bigger club.

Bournemouth have done better than Tottenham this season and Amoah feels that a move to the North London club would be a step down for Semenyo. It remains to be seen what he decides.

“With all due respect to Tottenham, if this is the only offer that comes to Semenyo this summer, then he should stay at Bournemouth,” he said to Africa Foot.

“Bournemouth are currently a better team on the pitch than Tottenham and seem more stable with a very good coach in Andoni Iraola. So, joining a club that is far behind would be a demotion that makes no footballing sense.

“He’s doing his job very well at a club that also appreciates his work and efforts, with fans singing his name day in and day out. Unless a much bigger club comes along, he should stay at Vitality.”

“Also, the €40m that is being talked about is below his value in the current market, given his contract, age and ability.”

Tottenham have an exciting project and the talented squad. Even though they have underperformed this season, they have what it takes to fight for trophies in the coming season.

Semenyo would be a quality acquisition for the North London club and he will add some much-needed cutting edge in the final third. Spurs would do well to sign a proven performer like him, and he could make an instant impact at the North London club.

All eyes on Tottenham’s biggest game of the 2024/25 season

It’s been a while since Tottenham have been in Europe, and as the legendary Bill Nicholson told us, “It’s magnificent to be in Europe, and this club – a club like Tottenham Hotspur – if we’re not in Europe…. we’re nothing. We’re nothing.” A huge game awaits us all on Thursday night. We host AZ Alkmaar at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the return leg of our Europa League round-of-16 tie. The Dutch side holds a slender advantage coming into this clash after their 1-0 win in Alkmaar, which means anything less than a victory for us on the night would see our European campaign end.

In an increasingly expensive world in which we all live, getting to watch games has become pretty much prohibitively expensive. The best way to secure the best quality football streaming is now something most fans have become savvy with, and there’s no longer a reason to either miss out on matches, or try and find some radio coverage, which is invariably frustrating to deal with in the 21st century.

Thursday’s match will be televised live in the UK, where the Eredivisie side travel to London hoping to spring a surprise against their Premier League opponents. The first leg was somewhat of a shocking performance from Tottenham.

An unfortunate Lucas Bergvall own goal gave the Dutch side victory, with Spurs keeper Guglielmo Vicario making some important saves to keep the scoreline down.

In what has been a tricky season for Tottenham, the Europa League remains a last shot at glory as manager Ange Postecoglou aims to fulfil his trophy-winning prophecy at the club – a comment he may be regretting at this stage. Postecoglou, in his second season in charge of the north London club, has previously said he “always wins” trophies in his second year, but has struggled in a difficult start to the Premier League season… Ange Postecoglou is under increasing pressure after a torrid season, with his side currently 13th in the Premier League table.

FA and EFL Cup glory have both fallen by the wayside recently, leaving the Europa League as their only remaining opportunity to end the near-two-decade wait for silverware. So, after a troublesome draw against Bournemouth at the weekend, the Aussie will surely be going all out to overturn the one goal deficit and continue our campaign.

Tottenham to be offered the chance to sign Champions League winner

Tottenham Hotspur are making preparations for the summer transfer window, with squad reinforcements a key priority.

Injuries have significantly impacted the Lilywhites throughout this campaign, exposing a lack of squad depth. As a result, the club is looking to strengthen its options to avoid similar setbacks ahead of the new season.

One player who has reportedly caught Spurs’ attention is Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, with discussions likely to take place when negotiations for Mathys Tel’s permanent transfer begin.

Bayern Munich to offer Tottenham the opportunity to sign Coman

That is according to the latest report from GiveMeSport, which claims that Tottenham are set to be ‘offered the chance’ to sign Coman while finalising talks with Bayern over Tel, who arrived in North London on loan last month with a purchase option.

The report states that while Spurs have not yet made a decision whether they want to sign Coman, they have been alerted about his availability at the end of the season.

The French international remains under contract with the German club until 2027 and has a market value of around €35 million.

Coman’s incredible numbers for Bayern Munich

Coman has been an important figure at Bayern since joining from Juventus in 2015, playing a pivotal role in the club’s domestic dominance and European triumphs, including netting the winner in the 2019–20 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

However, with Vincent Kompany in charge at Bayern, Coman’s long-term future remains uncertain. Despite making 33 appearances this season across all competitions and registering six goals and four assists, he might not be a guaranteed starter.

He has been a great servant to the Bundesliga giants, having made over 300 appearances for the club, scoring 69 and assisting 62 across all competitions.

Tottenham already hold a £50 million option to make Tel’s transfer permanent, but securing Coman as well would further strengthen Ange Postecoglou’s attacking options.

While Spurs boast a talented frontline, adding a player of Coman’s experience and quality could provide the team with an additional edge as they aim to compete at the highest level.

With negotiations expected at the end of the season, Tottenham have a chance to secure not just one but two French attacking talents, which could be a major boost to their ambitions for the upcoming campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur have had a disappointing season by their standards this year and manager Ange Postecoglou is under a lot of pressure.

There have been rumours that the Australian manager could find himself out of a job in the coming weeks, if the results do not improve drastically.

Tottenham have been linked with multiple managers recently and a report from TBR Football claims that they are keeping tabs on the 38-year-old Premier League manager, Kieran McKenna.

The former Spurs player and coach did well to get Ipswich promoted to the Premier League and even though they have struggled in the top flight this season, he is highly rated in England. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a managerial change in the coming weeks.

Postecoglou has been backed significantly in the transfer market, but he has not been able to get the best out of a squad. Spurs are in the midtable positions right now and securing a place in Europe for the next season is looking increasingly difficult.

A managerial change could be ideal for Tottenham at the end of the season and McKenna will certainly be excited to take on the job if he is presented with the opportunity.

The chance to return to his former club will be quite tempting for him. Tottenham are one of the biggest clubs in the country, and it would be a huge opportunity for McKenna to showcase his qualities at the highest level.

Postecoglou will look to keep his job beyond this season and it remains to be seen whether he can turn things around. There is no doubt that he is a quality manager and he has had his fair share of bad luck this season. Tottenham have had persistent injury problems, and the Australian manager will feel that his team could have done a lot better with a bit more luck in terms of injuries and availability.

Tottenham warned top clubs are coming for Archie Gray

Tottenham Hotspur signed Archie Gray from Leeds United at the start of the season and the 18-year-old has been outstanding for them so far.

Gray has established himself as an important first player for Tottenham and former Brentford manager Martin Allen believes that top clubs will be coming after him soon. Tottenham paid £30 million for the player when they signed him, but Allen believes that he is worth around £50 million now.

“He’s been absolutely outstanding,” Allen told Tottenham News.

“I thought he’d play as a midfielder but he’s played as a centre back, obviously due to the injuries. He doesn’t get phased by it, he’s such a good player.

“He’s reliable, honest and comes from a great family. I think he’s only going to get better when he moves forward and gets to play in midfield.

“I thought he was a really good signing at £30m, what’s he worth now? I’d set a top target of £50m on him right now but there will be top clubs coming after him no doubt.“

He is certainly one of the best young players at the club right now, and Tottenham will not want to lose him any time soon. It will be interesting to see if they can hold onto him.

Archie Gray has been named Young Player of the Year at the London Football Awards 🤩

Congratulations, Archie! 👏 pic.twitter.com/KhwyDs4X1X

— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) February 27, 2025

Gray is capable of operating as a central midfielder, a fullback as well as a central defender. His versatility makes him a unique asset. He is only 18 and he will only improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a top class Premier League performer with the right guidance.

Tottenham need to hold onto players like him if they want to build a formidable squad for the future. It remains to be seen how the situation develops. It would not be a surprise if top clubs decided to make a move for him in the future. Tottenham are likely to miss out on Champions League qualification next season and top clubs could look to take advantage of their situation and sign some of their key players.

Tottenham Hotspur are very interested in signing the Feyenoord defender David Hancko at the end of the season.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham and Chelsea are the most interested clubs in securing the services of the 27-year-old central defender. The Dutch outfit have already set the asking price and the Premier League clubs will have to pay £42 million if they want to get the deal done.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are willing to pay £42 million for the defender at the end of the season. They already have four central defenders at their disposal and signing a young defender in the role of a squad player would be ideal. Hancko will demand regular gametime, and that might not be possible at Tottenham, especially with Cristian Romeo and Micky van de Ven already at the club.

Tottenham signed Kevin Danso in January and they have an obligation to make the move permanent in the summer. It seems unlikely that they will pay a premium for Hancko as well. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Hancko has proven himself with the Dutch outfit, and there is no doubt that he is good enough for the Premier League. He has shown his qualities in the Champions League as well.

The 27-year-old defender will want to compete at the highest level and the opportunity to move to the Premier League will be quite exciting for him.

Insider says Yves Bissouma would be interested in a move to Palace

Tottenham are gearing up for a pivotal summer transfer window, with several changes expected as the club looks to rebuild following a disappointing season.

One of the potential departures from North London could be midfielder Yves Bissouma, who has been linked with a move to Crystal Palace.

John Wenham: Crystal Palace could replace Wharton with Yves Bissouma

According to Spurs insider John Wenham, the club could be open to selling the Malian international for around £15 million.

Wenham suggested that Bissouma would likely welcome a switch to Selhurst Park, as it would allow him to stay in London and continue competing in the Premier League.

The pundit also noted that with Bissouma’s experience at Brighton and Tottenham, Palace could see him as a strong addition, especially if they lose Adam Wharton in the summer.

Speaking to Tottenham News, Wenham stated:

“I’m sure Bissouma would be interested in joining Palace. It would allow him to stay in London and the Premier League. Therefore, if Adam Wharton does move on, we could maybe sell Bissouma to Palace for about £15million.

“I’m sure if he was available at that kind of price, a club like Palace would take a chance on Bissouma because he is an experienced Premier League midfielder.

“He spent four years at Brighton before joining Tottenham, so he has lots of experience. However, he just isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham moving forward.”

Bissouma arrived at Tottenham in June 2022 from Brighton for a fee of £30 million. Although his early performances showed promise, particularly at the start of the 2023–24 season, his form has been inconsistent. He delivered standout displays in matches against Brentford and Manchester United, earning back-to-back Man of the Match awards.

The 28-year-old started the ongoing campaign in style, netting his first goal for Spurs in a dominant 4-0 victory over Everton. However, one of his most talked-about moments came in a win against Manchester City, where he picked up the fastest yellow card in Premier League history, just 14 seconds into the match.

Despite featuring in 32 matches across all competitions this season and scoring twice in the league, the Lilywhites appear ready to part ways with him. With young talents like Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray emerging, Spurs may look to create space for their development.

A move to Crystal Palace could provide Bissouma with a fresh start, while Tottenham focus on reshaping their midfield ahead of the new season.
