Tottenham Hotspur are set to fail in any attempt to make Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso their next manager with the Liverpool legend expected to join Trent Alexander-Arnold at Real Madrid this summer.

Alexander-Arnold has confirmed that he will leave Anfield at the end of the season as a free agent, ending a 20 year stay with Liverpool. It is expected that the versatile full-back will join Spanish giants Real Madrid with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano already giving that move the ‘here we go’ treatment on social media.

The Galacticos are still racing Barcelona for the league title but it’s expected to be a summer of change at the club, with Carlo Ancelotti set to leave the Bernabeu following the side’s defeat in the Champions League quarter final at the hands of Arsenal.

Ange Postecoglou expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs are also preparing for a managerial change this summer with Ange Postecoglou to make way for a new face. The Aussie still has another two years left on his deal in north London but, after an underwhelming Premier League season, it was widely reported at the end of April that he would move on - no matter the outcome of the Europa League campaign.

Several candidates have been linked with taking over at Tottenham Hotspur. AFC Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola and Fulham manager Marco Silva emerged as two frontrunners but the club could also look on the continent.

GiveMeSport had claimed that Spurs board members could look to bring Liverpool legend and Bayer Leverkusen boss Alonso to London. The outlet reported that internal discussions over a possible approach to Alonso, who won the Bundesliga last year, had begun but that it was accepted it would be an ambitious move.

Xabi Alonso not realistic Spurs target as Real Madrid beckons

Over the weekend, Romano confirmed that Alonso would not be moving to the Premier League and that Real Madrid is set to become his destination. He told the Here We Go Podcast: “Xabi Alonso remains the favourite (to replace Ancelotti). Obviously, Real Madrid fans need to be patient with this one, because every day they probably expect a breakthrough in talks.

“But, what I want to communicate is that there will be no problem between Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid on the contract, on the agreement. Xabi Alonso wants to go to Real Madrid, and Real Madrid see Xabi Alonso as the perfect candidate for the job.

“Then, there is an exit process. This is for Ancelotti in Brazil, but it’s also for Real Madrid. So, it’s on the club’s side to prepare the final chapters of this story, to fight for La Liga till the end, and then to enter into the conversations with Xabi Alonso.

“But, my understanding is that if Real Madrid will proceed, as we expect, for Xabi as new coach, there will be no problem with Xabi Alonso, with his agent, on the contract and all the details, because Xabi wants the job.”

Alonso won La Liga and the Champions League while playing at Real Madrid and could manage Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold at the Bernabeu. The former midfielder was in the Liverpool first team when Alexander-Arnold was taking his first steps in the academy.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou provided an update on the fitness of striker Dominic Solanke and midfielder James Maddison following his side’s 1-1 draw to West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Solanke limped off against Bodo/Glimt in the 3-1 win on Thursday night and was absent from the matchday squad to take on the Hammers. Postecoglou had initially played down injury fears but the talisman not even making the bench was cause for concern at the weekend.

When asked for an update after the match, Postecoglou said: “Dom is improving. We obviously left him out today but the medical team are pretty confident he should be around for Thursday.”

Ange Postecoglou provides update on James Maddison scan

Meanwhile, midfielder James Maddison was also not in the squad to take on West Ham as he continues to nurse a knee injury. Postecoglou had confirmed that the player had undergone a scan on the problem.

The former Leicester City playmaker played 65 minutes in the first leg against Bodo/Glimt, scoring the side’s second goal in that outing. Postecoglou said: “It doesn’t look great. We’re waiting for further information. We’ll just wait and see, hopefully we’ll probably get some clarity tomorrow. Fair to say, it’s not looking promising but I’ll wait and see.”

Postecoglou made eight changes to the side that took on Bodo/Glimt on Thursday but was pleased with how his side fared against West Ham. Wilson Odobert opened the scoring for the side, with Mathys Tel pouncing on a Max Kilman error, before Jarrod Bowen pulled one back before half time with a neat finish.

Spurs boss ‘proud’ of West Ham showing

Reacting to the game, Postecoglou said: “I’m proud of the players, it’s not easy making so many changes and that’s going to affect fluency and the rhythm of the team. Even the individual players, some of them haven’t played a lot regularly. It wasn’t just the changes, I only made one sub so a lot of them played more minutes than they have recently. I thought the efforts put in today were outstanding, we were disappointed with the goal but aside from that I thought we nullified their threat as well as we could.”

Tottenham Hotspur will remain without defender Radu Dragusin and midfielder Lucas Bergvall for the second leg against Bodo/Glimt while captain Son Heung-min is a doubt. Spurs make the trip to Norway on Thursday night with either Manchester United or Athletic Bilbao waiting in the final, should they hold on to their lead.

Speaking about the injury to Bergvall, which came just before the first-leg in north London, Postecoglou said: "He's hugely disappointed. There's not much you can say, except that every experience in life and football makes you stronger, makes you appreciate what you have and he's got an unbelievable career ahead of him, for sure.

"I say to the guys all the time, we've got to take what's before us now. We can all assume that it will happen next year or the year after but you just don't know, sometimes life works in mysterious ways and it's denied Lucas the opportunity to play in a massive game last night. He's been a massive contributor for us, but I've no doubt he'll come back stronger. Sometimes, you look at footballers and their careers and we think they've got it all good, but every player has to go through setbacks at different times for different reasons and it's all part of what makes them stronger and allows them to grow, and I'm sure that will be the case with Lucas."

West Ham and Tottenham Hotspur looked like two teams in the bottom half with little to play for as they played out a tame meeting at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Graham Potter’s men looked the better of the two sides but did little to deserve more than the point secured thanks to a tidy Jarrod Bowen leveller in the first half. Ange Postecoglou’s side had taken the lead against the run of the play when Wilson Odobert benefited after Max Kilman defensive error.

Here’s how the West Ham players rated with one particular ‘bright spark’ awarded a 9/10 for his efforts.

West Ham player ratings

GK: Alphonse Areola, 6

Not helped by some shoddy defending for the Spurs goal but did look a little flat-footed when closing down Odobert.

LWB: Emerson, 6

Nowhere to be seen as Odobert cruised forward on his flank for the goal, but that was the only moment he was truly troubled by the ex Burnley man.

CB: Aaron Cresswell, 7

Looked good out there today. Enthusiastic early on to go crunching into Kulusevski and some dangerous deliveries from set plays.

CB: Maximilian Kilman, 4

Clumsy this afternoon with some messy footwork. Had two bites of the cherry to play out before the Spurs goal but failed each time and saw his side punished for that.

CB: Jean-Clair Todibo, 7

A couple of questionable moments, losing the ball in a dangerous position just before half-time in a hair-raising mistake, but plenty of good today too in an athletic showing.

RWB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka, 9

The bright spark out on the pitch today. West Ham’s most dangerous player going forwards, despite being a defender. Wan-Bissaka is a joy to watch when drifting in off the flank.

CM: Tomas Soucek, 6

Could’ve done with the big midfielder grabbing this game by the scruff of the neck in the second half, but he looked more and more tired.

CM: Lucas Paqueta, 5

A quiet start and grew into the game but can sometimes try to be too clever, too deep. Made an awful pass into the feet of Yves Bissouma in the second half, which was lucky to go unpunished - the Brazilian blamed an injury for that but miraculously carried on.

Clinical Jarrod Bowen levels against Tottenham

LW: Mohammed Kudus, 7

Same old. You can’t fault the winger’s passion but all the good work on the flank still lacks threat. Got his head up well to switch play at times.

ST: Niclas Fullkrug, 5

The jury remains out on the big German. At times, his grouchy character on the pitch is an asset and at others an unwanted burden. Dropped back regularly today and didn’t see many chances in front of goal, a header over the top from a Kudus chance with 20 minutes left to play a half chance a decent opportunity.

RW: Jarrod Bowen, 8

Had many in the London Stadium thinking he had left it too late to score the goal but proved that no one knows more about finishing than him. A quieter day but, as always, gobbles up the chances he has fed and must be given more.

Tottenham Hotspur shared a point with fellow Premier League strugglers West Ham at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a result that will satisfy Ange Postecoglou.

A defeat to their London rivals would have seen Spurs risking the loss of momentum following a midweek 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt ahead of the Europa League semi-final second-leg, but there were positives to take from a somewhat tame clash with the Hammers.

Wilson Odobert opened the scoring for Tottenham Hotspur, finishing neatly having been teed up by Mathys Tel, before the clinical Jarrod Bowen pulled one back before half-time. Here’s how the Spurs players rated in the 1-1 draw.

Tottenham Hotspur player ratings

GK: Guglielmo Vicario, 6

Guilty of a few sloppy passes today when not under pressure. Should probably have not let Bowen squeeze it past him at the near post but did make a brilliant stop to tip away a flick from the England international with 10 minutes left to play.

LB: Djed Spence, 6

Was caused problems by Wan-Bissaka today and, as a result, struggled to find moments to fully commit to moves forwards.

CB: Ben Davies, 5

Bowen easily snuck around the defender for the goal. Never quite looked comfortable against the Hammers’ attack, giving away free kicks and receiving an early yellow card.

CB: Kevin Danso, 8

A solid performance all round from the centre-back. Looked comfortable.

RB: Archie Gray, 7

Tested by Kudus’ pace in a good battle on that flank and did manage to keep the Ghanaian away from causing too much trouble.

CM: Pape Sarr, 5

Somewhat anonymous in the centre of the park. Did win several fouls but needed to do more to affect the game.

CM: Yves Bissouma, 6

Did try and make the Spurs play more progressive but not hugely successful in doing that. Skied a shot well over the bar in the second half.

CM: Dejan Kulusevski, 7

A busy start to the game and looked like he might be about to have a day at the centre of it all. That influence did fade quickly but it was a workhorse performance.

Tottenham Hotspur winger hounds West Ham defence

LW: Mathys Tel, 8

Can hold his head high. Asks questions of his teammates with his pace and through balls, but Spurs need a player like that to help them push for more. Tel’s persistence won the ball for the Spurs goal, which he put on a plate for Odobert. The Bayern Munich man continues to grow in the Premier League.

ST: Richarlison, 4

Won a few free kicks by sticking his arse into West Ham defenders’ body but that was about it today. Looks fed up after a week linking him with a return to former club Everton - a shot/cross in the 40th minute his best moment.

RW: Wilson Odobert, 7

Had to score his goal and did, keeping his cool in front of the net when one-on-one with Areola. Needs to find a way to stick in games.

SUBS: Mikey Moore (7)

West Ham host Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a fixture moved from the regular Saturday 3 pm kick-off to work for TV broadcasters.

Both the Hammers and Spurs have little left to play for in the league this term with safety confirmed and European places well out of reach, but there is plenty of dignity to be salvaged for both Graham Potter and Ange Postecoglou after thoroughly underwhelming campaigns.

West Ham are looking to bounce back from a bitter 3-2 defeat against Brighton last time out, conceding in injury time once again, while Spurs are buoyed by their 3-1 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night. Tottenham are, however, without a league win in their last three following defeats to Liverpool and Nottingham Forest and Wolves.

Fans may, at least, hope for goals. The first time these two teams met this season was in a 4-1 win for Postecoglou’s side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the visitors throwing away a 1-0 lead in a fixture that saw Mohammed Kudus sent off with just four minutes left to play.

Match Details

West Ham take on Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium on Sunday, May 4 with kick off at 2 pm. The fixture comes in Matchweek 35 of the Premier League season with just three matches left to play for each side following this weekend.

The Hammers can leapfrog Spurs in the league with a win with just one point separating Spurs in 16th and Potter’s men in 17th. West Ham are 14 points above the drop zone but have safety guaranteed at this late stage of the campaign.

West Ham v Tottenham Hotspur UK Television Broadcast Information

Despite West Ham v Tottenham Hotspur taking place on a Sunday, the Premier League fixture is not being broadcast in the UK. Sky Sports are instead showing Brighton vs Newcastle United at the AMEX Stadium.

The Hammers and Spurs fixture is therefore also not available for streaming in the UK but highlights will be available via official channels online after the match. Fans can also catch the best parts of the game on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 at 10:30 pm on BBC One, and then on BBC iPlayer.

Tottenham Hotspur player Manor Solomon says he will begin talks over his long-term future in the next two or three days after his dramatic goal fired Leeds United to the Championship title on Saturday.

The 25-year-old forward left North London to join the Elland Road outfit on a season-long loan back in August. He has been part of a promotion and title-winning side for Leeds and made a major impact on the final day of the Championship season.

Leeds had secured promotion back to the Premier League with a couple of games to spare but were neck and neck with Burnley for the title heading into the final day. The Clarets were poised to win the second-tier as they were beating Millwall on the final day but Solomon stepped up in the 91st minute to score the winning goal as Leeds came from behind to defeat Plymouth Argyle 2-1 at Home Park. The result moved them to 100 points and clinched the title on goal difference.

Manor Solomon asked about long-term future

With Leeds securing promotion and avoiding the play-offs, it means Solomon has no more games left on his loan and will return to Spurs before his long-term future is sorted. He is under contract at Tottenham until the summer of 2028 but it is unlikely Spurs would want to keep him on board next season.

"I've been only focused on this season so far and let's say two or three days [from now], we'll start talking and see what's happening. I don't know what the future holds but I can just say that I love [the fans]," he said of his future, via the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Of clinching the title for Leeds, he said: "I can't put into words what I'm feeling right now. It's a dream come true for me to score the winning goal and to take this championship. I think throughout this season we showed that we deserve it, we deserve this trophy, we deserve to finish in the first spot and we're super happy. I'm so glad it happened."

Manor Solomon’s season at Leeds

The Yorkshire Evening posted handed Solomon a 9/10 player rating for his display against Plymouth on Saturday. They wrote: “He was the danger for Leeds. Kept going and looking for the moment. His cross brought the first goal, his late goal won the title.”

Solomon has been a key figure for Leeds in the Championship this season. He has played in 39 of their 46 games and started in 30 of those with plenty of competition for places in a threatening Leeds attack. Despite starting around 70 per cent of games, Solomon has been involved in 24 per cent of the side’s goals in the Championship as he scored 10 times and provided 12 assists.

That makes 22 goal contributions with Leeds finding the net 95 times on their way to the title. TEAMtalk reported earlier this week that Leeds were confident of securing a permanent deal for Solomon with their promotion secured. The player joined Spurs on a free transfer which will allow the North London outfit to bank some profit ahead of the transfer window if they decide to sell him.

Tottenham have reportedly identified a new winger target as they look to strengthen out wide this summer, regardless of whether Ange Postecoglou is at the club or not. It has been a dire campaign for Spurs, although they could still bail themselves out by winning the Europa League and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Even that might not be enough to save Postecoglou, who has overseen what could still turn out to be a record-setting campaign in all the worst ways. Tottenham are yet to surpass their worst-ever Premier League points total, and they are going to need eight points from a possible 12 in the league to surpass that total.

In the meantime, there will already be planning ongoing for next season, with Postecoglou’s future yet to be decided, with the recruitment process needing to start early given the intense competition between clubs for new players. One area Spurs need to strengthen is out wide, with Timo Werner headed back to RB Leipzig, while Heung-min Son is in the final years of his time at the club - and potentially his career.

Tottenham have an option to buy on Mathys Tel, who is on loan from Bayern Munich, and reports home and abroad suggest they will try to reduce that option fee, but they do seem to be keen to land the youngster at the right price. Elsewhere, it has been reported by TuttoSport that Spurs are interested in signing Juventus winger Nico Gonzalez.

Gonzalez is also reportedly being eyed by Brighton having hit form of late. The 27-year-old has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring four and assisting as many. He scored last time out against Monza, and he is being touted as a player who could be moved on by Juve.

He is currently on loan with Juventus but with a fee of around £23.8million already agreed with Fiorentina. The transfer links suggest Juventus may already be regretting that deal, potentially looking to instantly offload the winger as Igor Tudor looks to put his own stamp on this squad having taken over from Thiago Motta, who signed Gonzalez.

Tottenham also have an option to buy Werner, but Postecoglou has been openly critical of the winger at times, and it seems certain that he will be headed back to Leipzig. Postecoglou said of one of Werner’s performances earlier this season: "When you've got 18-year-olds [in the squad], it [that performance] is not acceptable to me. I said that to Timo, he's a German international. In the moment we're in right now - it's not like we've got many options - I need everyone to at least be going out there and trying to give the best of themselves. His performance in the first half wasn't acceptable.

"We need everybody, including him, to be contributing because we don't have the depth to leave people out if they perform poorly. I expect a level of performance from some of the senior guys, and tonight wasn't that." Those comments said it all.

QPR head coach Marti Cifuentes was placed on ‘gardening leave’ on Tuesday evening amid links with West Brom, leaving his future at Loftus Road in the lurch.

The 42-year-old has pledged his commitment to his contract earlier this month but that was before reports that his representatives had engaged in talks with the Midlands club. Sky Sports claimed that Cifuentes had not spoken personally to West Brom and that QPR had not been approached by their Championship rivals to facilitate formal discussions.

It has since been confirmed that Cifuentes will not be in charge of QPR this Saturday for the final league game of the season against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. A club statement on Tuesday night read: “Marti Cifuentes has been placed on gardening leave.

“Assistant coaches Kevin Betsy and Xavi Calm will take charge of first-team affairs on an interim basis and prepare the squad for our final fixture of the 2024/25 campaign against Sunderland.”

QPR ‘disappointed’ by Marti Cifuentes situation

Nourry also provided a statement and labelled the situation surrounding Cifuentes as ‘disappointing’. He said: “This is naturally a disappointing situation for everyone concerned. I fully understand and appreciate supporters’ frustrations at this time. As a club, we are working to ensure this matter is resolved as swiftly as possible so we can start preparations in earnest for the future.”

While Cifuentes has not been sacked or had his contract terminated, all signs point towards an imminent change in leadership at Loftus Road ahead of the summer transfer window. The current head coach has been in the position since October 2023, having taken over from Gareth Ainsworth.

The early frontrunner to be the next QPR manager is former Wolves boss Gary O’Neil. The 41-year-old was sacked by the Premier League side in December with the club 19th in the table and four points adrift of safety.

O’Neil had previously been in charge of AFC Bournemouth, where he took over from Scott Parker in August 2022. The former midfielder left the Vitality Stadium at the end of the 2022/23 season and has not managed in the Championship.

A graduate of the Portsmouth youth academy, O’Neil went on to play 192 times for the south coast club. The player did spend time at QPR in his playing career, making 33 appearances for the R’s under Harry Redknapp during the 2013/14 campaign, helping the side win the Championship play-off final. He also played for West Ham, Middlesbrough, Norwich City, Bristol City and Bolton Wanderers.

Gary O’Neil and Ryan Mason linked with Loftus Road job

O’Neil was sent off in the play-off final for QPR after a cynical late challenge on Johnny Russell to end a goalscoring chance. Bobby Zamora then scored a 90th minute winner to help QPR into the Premier League.

Speaking about that challenge to talkSPORT shortly after that match, O’Neil said: “As I was walking off I was thinking, ‘I hope it doesn’t cost us’. I knew it was a risk of a red card if I fouled him, but it was something I had to make a decision on quickly and I decided it was the right way to go.

“It was a tactical foul. If I felt I had any other option, there was no way I would have done it. I have gone through 15 years of playing professional football without being sent off. I was in the tunnel watching it on a tiny screen and I couldn’t see us scoring. I would have snapped your hand off for penalties.

“As it fell to Bob, I still can’t quite believe it now. It makes me laugh out loud when I think about it. After everything that had happened, for it to turn around and work out was amazing.”

Another name linked with becoming the next QPR manager is Tottenham Hotspur coach Ryan Mason. The former England international is just 33 years old but retired from football in 2018 after not being able to bounce back from a fractured skull sustained in a coming together with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill while playing for Hull City.

Mason joined the coaching staff at Spurs in April 2018 and had a spell as interim head coach following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho in April 2021. He took on a similar role in 2023, winning two, drawing one and losing three of Spurs’ final six fixtures in that campaign.

The coach has not held a permanent head coach or managerial role but was linked with the Anderlecht job in October and held talks with the Belgian side. Speaking after he missed out on that job, Ange Postecoglou said: “I have always worked on the premise that part of my role is also developing coaches and it is something I take great pride in. Ryan is obviously someone who sees himself as one day taking that opportunity. It’s a really important decision for the guys. It’s not like we want them to leave and certainly with Ryan, he is doing a great job for us here.

“To be fair to Ryan, he was pretty straightforward with it. I said to him I didn’t want it drawn out, taking any time, and he didn’t. He is really happy where he is now and committed to us.”

Tottenham are back in Europa League action on Thursday night when they face Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their semi-final clash. The first leg will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Spurs will be determined to get off to a solid start in this tie ahead of what will be a tricky trip to Scandinavia.

Tottenham’s whole season rides on the Europa League, with their Premier League campaign having all-but ended in disaster, while the Europa League can still offer them Champions League qualification. Spurs beat Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals, while Bodo/Glimt defeated Lazio in an impressive two-leg win, ultimately winning on penalties. Bodo/Glimt have a fair few suspension issues, but they should be feeling fitter than their hosts, with their season having only begun earlier this month. Here we round up all the latest injury and suspension news ahead of this one.

Odin Bjørtuft - Doubt

Bjortuft pulled up with a groin injury in the Norwegian club’s last game and will be a serious doubt here. Manager Kjetil Knutsen added: "I do not know anything. I never enjoy a player laying down, but the medical staff are looking into it."

Patrick Berg - Out (Suspended)

Berg has reached the yellow card limit and will be suspended for the first leg.

Hakon Evjen - Out (Suspended)

Evjen is suspended for the first leg for the same reason.

Andreas Helmersen - Out (Suspended)

Helmersen was sent off in the second leg against Lazio and will miss this game as a consequence.

Ole Blomberg - Doubt

Blomberg missed Bodo/Glimt’s last game through injury and will remain a doubt here.

Heung-min Son - Doubt

Postecoglou was ruled out of the last game. Before the Liverpool game, the Australian said: "Squad wise, there's no change. All the guys got through (Forest) okay. In terms of rehab, Sonny's the only one who is going through that process, improving, but not ready for Sunday.

"Again, with the programme we have coming up, Thursday obviously is a big night for us, so it will be a matter of playing a few that need the game time and others we feel may need less exposure, we'll have a look at that. He's improving. It's the first time he's been out on the grass today, he said it felt distinctively better than it was. It's a day by day situation."

Postecoglou added: "We don't have injury problems, as such. The only one is Sonny, trying to work his way back. He's improving, which is positive for us, but not (fit) for Sunday. Everyone from the last game has come back well, so apart from the longer-term ones, the rest of the squad is fit and available." Son could be back in contention here, but we will find out more at the pre-match press conference later this week.

Radu Dragusin - Out

Dragusin is out for the rest of the season and likely a chunk of next term with an ACL injury. Postecoglou confirmed at the time: “Radu underwent surgery today following his ACL injury. That procedure has now been completed, and the centre-back will now commence with his recovery before beginning the rehab process.”

Tottenham Hotspur looked to be on the way of a major upset when Dominic Solanke scored after 12 minutes at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

However, Ange Postecoglou’s side could not manage to be Premier League title party poopers with that lead lasting just four minutes before another capitulation. Arne Slot’s men went on to win that fixture 5-1.

Once again, the need for investment this summer was underlined with Spurs a long way away from competing with top Premier League sides. Amid a flurry of new transfer rumours, LondonWorld looks how Tottenham Hotspur could line up next season.

Tottenham Hotspur rekindle interest in £70 million Crystal Palace man

Goalkeeper - Guglielmo Vicario

Defenders - Djed Spence, Marc Guehi, Micky Van de Ven, Dennis Cirkin

Guglielmo Vicario will be hoping for a season without injury next term. The goalkeeping position seems one that Spurs are unlikely to splurge money on having recruited Antonin Kinsky in January.

There is set to be new blood in the back four. Cristian Romero is linked with a move to La Liga and wants to play in Spain. Fabrizio Romano claimed on Monday that Spurs could reignite interest in a £70 million move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who won’t be short of interest this summer. The club could look to recruit a new full-back depending on the futures of Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Sunderland man Dennis Cirkin, who could come in at left back and push Spence to the right - Graeme Bailey has claimed that Everton could challenge Spurs for that move.

Spurs set to beat West Ham to sign England international

Midfielders - James Maddison, Angel Gomes, Archie Gray

There’s no shortage of midfield options for Ange Postecoglou, or whoever is to be in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it’s just whether they can do the job. Archie Gray could finally be allowed to flourish in his more natural position with the best still to come from England international James Maddison.

Lille star Angel Gomes is out of contract at the end of the summer and seems to be Premier League bound. Graham Potter and West Ham want him at the London Stadium, but Spurs seem to be winning the race.

Jarrod Bowen targeted by Tottenham Hotspur

Wingers - Son Heung-min, Jarrod Bowen

Striker - Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Son Heung-min signed a new contract with the club in January and will be vital in helping to turn the side’s form around. CaughtOffside claim that Tottenham Hotspur could look to make an audacious move for Jarrod Bowen come the end of the season, bringing the clinical West Ham man across London.

Fichajes claim that another attacking option could be Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The injury-plagued talisman is out of contract at Goodison Park this summer and would do well to take the starting spot of Dominic Solanke, but stranger things have happened.
