De Zerbi and Poch Alternative: Tottenham Eyeing 'One of the Best Managers in Europe' - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham are interested in appointing former Juventus manager Thiago Motta as a replacement for Igor Tudor, according to a report from TuttoSport.

Spurs will certainly be looking for a new manager in the summer, with Tudor only signing a deal until the end of the season. Tudor is already under heavy pressure after losing his first three games in charge, and it doesn't get any easier for Spurs as they travel to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Tottenham might have to consider changing their manager once again if their current form continues, particularly in the Premier League, where they are in serious danger of being relegated to the Championship.

Tottenham Eyeing Former Juventus Manager

According to a report from TuttoSport, Tottenham are showing an interest in appointing former Juventus boss Motta as a replacement for Tudor.

It's claimed that Roberto De Zerbi is another serious contender, while reports have also linked Mauricio Pochettino with the job after the World Cup later this year.

Motta has been out of work since being sacked as Juventus manager back in March, and interestingly, he was replaced by now-Tottenham boss Tudor.

Juventus were the fourth Italian club Motta has managed, but he's now been out of action for around a year. Being a free agent, it should be a relatively straightforward appointment if Spurs do make a move, but he's among a host of names currently being linked with the job.

Motta, described as 'one of the best managers in Europe' by CBS Sports journalist Francesco Porzio, is yet to ply his trade in the Premier League, or even outside of Italy, so it will be interesting to see if he's keen on a move to England in the summer.

Tottenham Have Big Decision to Make

After some impressive recent results for Nottingham Forest and West Ham, Tottenham are in serious danger of being relegated from the Premier League unless they turn things around fast.

If their form continues under Tudor, Tottenham are going to have to consider making another change in the dugout. Relegation would be a complete disaster for the north London club, and considering they are still yet to win in 2026, their chances of going down are strengthening every single week.

Thiago Motta's Record as Manager

Genoa (2019) — 20% win rate (2 wins in 10 games). Short stint; dismissed after poor early results.

Spezia (2021–2022) — 28% win rate (11 wins in 40 games). Kept the club in Serie A despite a limited squad.

Bologna (2022–2024) — 43% win rate (35 wins in 82 games). His standout spell, guiding Bologna to a historic Champions League qualification.

Juventus (2024–2025) — ≈43% win rate (18 wins in 42 matches). Dismissed despite relatively few defeats due to too many draws.

'Desperate' Update Emerges From Inside Tottenham With Players 'Seething' - GiveMeSport
Description

The situation behind the scenes at Tottenham Hotspur is 'desperate' with key players 'seething', according to Sky Sports presenter and Spurs fan Marcus Buckland.

Tottenham would have been hoping to react to a win for West Ham United and a draw for Nottingham Forest with a positive result at home to Crystal Palace, but instead they were beaten 3-1 and lost Micky van de Ven to suspension following his red card for bringing Ismaila Sarr down.

Spurs are now without a Premier League win in 11 games and lie just one point above the relegation zone with a trip to Liverpool next.

Igor Tudor has lost all three of his matches at the helm with no sign of improvement from the Thomas Frank era, which means that Championship football next term is a real possibility.

Tottenham Hierarchy Described as 'Clueless' by Source

While there is quite rightly a lot of anger towards the first-team management and players right now, things are not good at a board or ownership level either.

According to Buckland, posting on X on Sunday, Tottenham's hierarchy have been described as 'clueless' by a source inside the club, with the presenter revealing that they tried to appoint Igor Tudor prior to hiring Thomas Frank, before turning back to him last month.

Vinai Venkatesham and Johan Lange were targeted by some supporters during the defeat to Oliver Glasner's men on Thursday, for their role in the club's downfall this season.

Tottenham Players 'Seething' With Situation

According to Buckland, Tottenham's players are said to be 'seething' with the current situation at the club, with the presenter naming Cristian Romero and Van de Ven as two players who fans shouldn't expect much from when they return to the pitch.

Spurs skipper Romero will be available following his four-match suspension for the trip to Anfield, while Van de Ven will miss the same game having been red-carded for denying a goalscoring opportunity.

Pedro Porro was visibly angry when he was taken off against the Eagles during the week, while Guglielmo Vicario is said to be determined to secure a move back to Serie A this summer.

It's no real surprise that Tottenham's players would be furious with the club finding themselves in a genuine relegation battle, but they are the ones who can get the club out of it.

The current lack of spirit and know-how in a relegation battle, which West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United all have, could prove costly.

Supercomputer Predicts Final Premier League Table

According to Opta's supercomputer prediction, there is good news for Tottenham as they are tipped to remain in 16th position and survive the drop by three points.

London rivals West Ham will go down, according to Opta, in what would be a double celebration for Spurs.

Let's see how the next few weeks pan out because there are likely to be more twists and turns, including when Tottenham host Nottingham Forest later this month.

26 Premier League Fixtures Ranked Compared to Rivals

Spurs, Leeds, Forest, and West Ham's remaining 25/26 Premier League fixtures ranked by difficulty - GiveMeSport
Description

We are now into the final stretch of the 2025/26 Premier League season, and while there is plenty of interest in the title race between Arsenal and Manchester City, there is just as much excitement in the relegation battle. This is mainly because Tottenham Hotspur are now one of the prime candidates to go down.

At the foot of the table sit Wolves, and despite a recent resurgence, Rob Edwards' men look all but set to finish in the bottom three. As do Burnley, who have just three more points. The final spot, however, is up for grabs.

West Ham United and Nottingham Forest both have 28 points, with the Hammers in 18th due to goal difference. Tottenham sit just one place and one point ahead with nine games to play. Leeds, in 15th, then place another spot higher and two points clear of Spurs.

Fans of each team will be desperately checking the fixtures list, trying to work out which games they might have a chance of picking up a few vital points in. With that in mind, their final run of matches have each been ranked.

Leeds United

The good news for Leeds United is that they have, on paper, the easiest run of fixtures. Across their final nine games of the season, Daniel Farke's men hold an average league position of 13.2. While away trips to Manchester United and Bournemouth could be tricky, the 'strongest' team they will face at Elland Road is now Brentford, currently 7th.

A 1-0 home loss against Sunderland last time out wouldn't have helped nerves, but Leeds are masters of their own destiny here. The main worry, though, will be that they have to travel away to Tottenham and West Ham in two of the final three games of the season. That final-day trip to the London Stadium could be a relegation decider for the two teams.

Tottenham Hotspur

While many are shocked to see Tottenham languishing in 16th with just nine league games to finish, it should not be forgotten that the north London outfit finished 17th in 2024/25. Perhaps relegation would be a natural regression for a team that appears to have got so much wrong both on and off the pitch in the past few years. The club will be desperate to avoid the drop, and fortunately, they have an easier run-in than the two teams directly below them.

While an away trip to Liverpool next up is especially daunting, seeing as interim coach Igor Tudor has lost all three league games so far, Tottenham can fix things just a week later. Indeed, a home visit of Nottingham Forest could help Spurs wrestle back some control. Leeds also have to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which could make for a pivotal encounter. Trips to Aston Villa and Chelsea in two of their final four games, however, almost guarantee a nervy end to the season.

Nottingham Forest

It says something that Nottingham Forest are on their fourth manager of the campaign, with Nuno Espirito Santo, Ange Postecoglou and Sean Dyche all sacked before Vitor Pereira came in. The Portuguese manager has been tasked with steadying things on the pitch, but with Forest chief Edu Gaspar also now fired, the City Ground is not exactly a picture of stability right now.

With all that chaos in mind, the club will be concerned by a fairly tricky run of fixtures to come, with the average league position of their final nine opponents being 9.8. A surprise point against Manchester City will have boosted spirits and the upcoming home match against Fulham will be targeted as a big opportunity to pick up just an eighth win of the season. After that, all eyes will be on Forest's trip to Tottenham – whatever happens there could be a turning point for either team.

West Ham

West Ham United have has a strange season which started miserably under Graham Potter and has only marginally improved under Nuno Espirito Santo. As a result, which nine games to play, they are stuck in the relegation zone and may have a tricky time as they try to escape.

The host Man City next before then going away to Aston Villa. Any kind of result against either team will be seen as a big bonus, with fans likely pessimistic about their team's chances. At least Wolves' visit will be viewed as a welcome opportunity to come into a game as favourites for once, but the remaining fixture list from that point on isn't too friendly. The only direct relegation rival West Ham play from then on is Leeds at home on the final day of the season. The loser of that may well find themselves playing Championship football in 2026/27.

Guglielmo Vicario Determined to Leave Tottenham After Igor Tudor Fallout

'Exceptional' Tottenham Star Determined to Leave After Igor Tudor Fallout - GiveMeSport
Description

Guglielmo Vicario is 'drained' by his experience in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur and wants to return to Italy as soon as possible, according to Tuttosport.

Rumours prior to Thursday night's defeat at home to Crystal Palace suggested that the Italian goalkeeper was going to be dropped for the first time in the Premier League this season by caretaker boss Igor Tudor, but he did remain between the sticks.

It was another night to forget for the 29-year-old and his Spurs teammates with relegation now a genuine possibility, as they lie one point above the relegation zone and without a win in their last 11 Premier League matches.

Whether they remain in the top flight or do go down to the Championship, it appears as though Vicario is determined to force his way out.

Vicario Doesn't Have Good Relationship With Tudor

According to Tuttosport, Vicario is determined to make a move to Serie A as soon as possible, following his previous spell in the Italian top tier with Empoli.

The exit of Thomas Frank and arrival of Tudor on an interim basis hasn't improved the Italian's mood, with the duo said to have a 'less than idyllic relationship'. It has only increased Vicario's desire to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The report says that the 29-year-old's wish is to join Juventus, Tudor's former club, in the summer, given the confidence he has in coach Luciano Spalletti.

Spalletti promoted Vicario to Italy number one over Gianluigi Donnarumma, and while negotiations are yet to take place, initial contact has been made over a summer transfer.

Tottenham are said to be willing to sell for €20m (£17.3m), with his salary in London no problem for Juve.

Time for Both Parties to Move on

While Vicario will have been Tottenham's undisputed number one for three seasons come May, it is time for a parting of the ways, no matter which division Tottenham find themselves in.

Even though Frank labelled him 'exceptional' earlier this season, the 29-year-old has never really convinced people that he is a top number one who is irreplaceable, while rumours surrounding him wanting to return to Italy have increased tenfold in recent months.

Vicario is seen to have a weakness when it comes to penalty kicks, having only saved five out of a possible 43, while other parts of his game have come under scrutiny too.

Tudor was visibly annoyed when the Italian hit a free-kick straight out of play during defeat to Fulham last weekend.

Who Should Tottenham Sign to Replace Vicario?

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT who Tottenham should sign to replace Vicario if he leaves this summer, and this is what it said:

'Tottenham should target a reliable, modern goalkeeper if replacing Guglielmo Vicario. The most realistic option is James Trafford, currently linked with Spurs and considered their top target due to his strong distribution and Premier League potential.

'Other credible options include Dean Henderson, who offers proven Premier League experience, and highly rated young prospects such as Robin Risser. Trafford would provide long-term stability, Henderson immediate reliability, and Risser future upside.

'Overall, Tottenham should prioritise Trafford: he fits a modern build-from-the-back style and could become a long-term No.1 for the club.'

Tottenham Star 'Packing His Bags' Ahead of Summer Exit

Tottenham Star 'Packing His Bags' Ahead of Summer Exit - GiveMeSport
Description

Richarlison is expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer after four underwhelming years at the club, according to AS.

The Brazilian striker made the move to north London in a deal worth £60m back in 2022 after a successful spell at Everton, and has gone on to score 29 goals in 124 appearances for the club, following onfrom 53 goals in 152 games for the Toffees.

However, the club are having a horrific season in this campaign, sitting just one point above the relegation zone with nine games remaining in the Premier League, and that means major changes are expected in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Richarlison 'Packing His Bags'

Richarlison has had a mixed campaign from an individual perspective, registering eight goals in 24 appearances in the Premier League, his second-best return for Spurs so far, despite the struggles of the team.

The Brazilian is desperate to be part of the World Cup squad this summer, and is under consideration by his former boss Carlo Ancelotti, who feels he could be a major game-changer for the five-time world champions either from the start or from the bench during the tournament.

However, he has lots of competition for a place in the squad and his fitness issues are a concern heading ito the tournament as things stand.

While Spurs rate the 28-year-old highly, he will enter the final 12 months of his contract with the club this summer, and it's expected that he will be leaving the club before the next campaign begins.

The report from Spain suggests that while Richarlison is fully focused on the rest of the season and avoiding relegation, he is already 'packing his bags' for a summer move away from the club, and could well be on his way back to Brazil for a new adventure.

Tottenham Need a Total Rebuild

One thing that Richarlison can't be criticised for is a lack of effort, but effort isn't always enough, and his lack of quality is often something that is mentioned by fans and pundits.

While he is a good option to have in the squad, Spurs are in need of a total rebuild and that means shifting everyone with any value and replacing them adequately. That makes Richarlison a prime target to be moved on once the season concludes.

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT who would be a good replacement for Richarlison at Tottenham, and this was its response:

Tottenham In Talks to Sign One of the Fastest Players in the Premier League in £60m Deal

Tottenham In Talks to Sign One of the Fastest Players in the Premier League in £60m Deal - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are in ongoing talks over a move to sign Brentford star Kevin Schade this summer in a deal worth £60m, according to BILD.

The north London club have had a season to forget so far, and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone with nine games remaining in the Premier League, while they are also set to face off against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16, and have already been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions.

But despite those concerns, the club are understood to already be making plans for the summer transfer window, and they are still looking to do a deal for one player despite former manager Thomas Frank no longer being around.

Tottenham In Talks for Schade

Schade, who has been clocked as one of the fastest players in the Premier League this season, has stepped up out of the shadow of Bryan Mbeumo at Brentford this season, scoring seven goals and registering three assists in 26 appearances so far.

Those performances have seen the 24-year-old catch the attention of a number of clubs, including Tottenham, who are keen to strenghten their attacking options in the summer as they look to rebuild their squad.

According to a report in Germany, via Sport Witness, Bayern Munich are another side showing an interest in the German forward, but Brentford's asking price of €70m (£60m) is too high for them, as they see him being cover for Luis Diaz on the wings, rather than as an immediate starter.

Schade would be open to an exit from the Gtech Community Stadium this summer, and it is revealed in the same report that the player has already been offered to both Tottenham and Chelsea for a summer deal by his agent.

Spurs' interest was first reported ahead of the January window, but a deal didn't materialise. However, their interest has been retained despite Frank's sacking last month.

Schade Would Start for Tottenham

Tottenham know they need to bring in new options on the wings this summer, and Schade could fit in perfectly.

Mathys Tel has struggled for consistency and could look to move on, while Wilson Odobert is recovering from an ACL injury, and Richarlison is expected to leave at the end of the season. That would create a pathway for Schade to come in and make an immediate impact.

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT what Schade would add to the Tottenham squad if he signed, and this was its response:

Six Tottenham Players Igor Tudor Can't Trust In Relegation Battle

Igor Tudor Can't Trust Six Players In Tottenham Relegation Battle And Two Are A Huge Shock - GiveMeSport
Description

Igor Tudor was probably not wise to use a boat analogy following Tottenham's 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Thursday night.

The reason the boat analogy was probably not well-timed from Tudor, was because it feels like a sinking ship at Tottenham right now.

The loss at the hands of Oliver Glasner's Eagles made it 11 games without a win for Spurs - a new Premier League record for the Lilywhites.

And with Nottingham Forest and West Ham United both picking up points the night previously, it means Tottenham are now just one point above the relegation zone in the Premier League.

Relegation to the Championship is now a distinct possibility for Spurs for the first time in Premier League history.

Tudor said after the game that he was brightened by the performance against Palace and used his boat analogy to speak about the players getting on board.

He said: "Maybe it will sound strange but I believe more after this game than I believed before. I saw something. I need to choose the right guys because the boat is going in the direction that I want to go and needs to go and who is in the boat can stay.

"Otherwise they can leave the boat. So when the other players will come back and choosing the right [players] I’m sure we will have a good team and the victories will come back. It’s not easy to accept the moment where we are now but it is how it is."

That begs the question who is in the boat and who is not? Who's up for the fight and who's not? GIVEMESPORT takes on a rundown of the Spurs squad.

Who's In Igor Tudor's Tottenham Boat to Save Their Premier League Status?

To be honest, this is very hard to answer. What have we seen from the players in recent weeks to suggest they are up for the battle at the bottom of the table?

Archie Gray was the best Tottenham player on the pitch against Palace, with the 19-year-old showing more senior players what is required in this situation. He's clearly on board and ready to fight.

Mathys Tel has always shown willing, desire and intent whenever he's been on the pitch - which is not often enough this season - and more than once tried to whip the crowd up during Thursday's defeat. Out of everyone he always seems to be intent on attacking his man and getting Spurs on the front foot.

Richarlison did not get much time against Palace but showed in the defeat to Fulham he is up for the battle. He's done it before, with Everton, giving his all for the cause and he's just the sort of fighter Tudor needs.

Xavi Simons took a while to adapt to the Premier League but has shown glimpses of his talent in recent months and despite being dropped for the game with Palace, when he came on he had a point to prove and got on the ball, ran at the Palace defence, drew fouls and generally got Spurs moving in the right direction.

Conor Gallagher has not been great since arriving at the club from Atletico Madrid, but he is a fighter and should be one Tudor can call upon, while Lucas Bergvall, once back from injury at the end of the month, is a fan favourite and always has the energy required for a fight like this. Dominic Solanke is the best source of goals and has come out and spoken about the situation and the need to be together, so he should be in the boat too.

Yves Bissouma may be a surprise name in the boat, having done ok under Tudor thus far, while Joao Palhinha will surely give everything for anyone, such is his nature.

The Spurs defence were not great against Palace, but Kevin Danso stood up and did his job and certain other players could learn a thing or two from him...

The Tottenham Players Not In The Boat

The Tottenham leadership group really look like they are letting the club down right now.

Cristian Romero has sat out the last four games through suspension for a needless red card against Manchester United. Spurs have missed him and when you're talking about someone being up for a fight you'd immediately say him.

Can he prove it when he comes back and lead the team through the roughest of all patches? It remains to be seen.

Alongside him there's Micky van de Ven, who will now miss the Liverpool match for his needless red card against Palace. Red cards, and silly ones at that, are not the mark of great leaders.

Then there's Pedro Porro, who probably should have been given a few free-kicks on Thursday night, showed petulance when he was substituted, mouthing off at the fourth official and banging chairs in the dugout. He's struggled to find any form this season and really just ought to take his medicine quietly.

Guglielmo Vicario is another member of the so-called leadership group and he's really not covering himself in any glory of late. He could and perhaps should have come out to deal with Palace's third goal. Avoiding that would have kept Spurs in the game.

Radu Dragusin was injured for the Palace clash and has struggled for form when called upon and is not one to be relied upon.

Randal Kolo Muani appears to be playing like someone not committed to the club. He will be going back to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer and looks like he's going through the motions in a Spurs shirt.

What Of The Other Spurs Squad Members?

Pape Matar Sarr has been poor, but he may well show he can step up and fight for his place and Spurs' Premier League status. He's standing in the water, unsure whether to get on the boat or not right now.

The same can be said for full-backs Djed Spence and Souza. Are they up for it and/or capable of showing it? Time will tell.

Destiny Udogie will be back from injury soon and he should be a a real boost, but the youngster is not used to this kind of pressure and we will have to see whether he is up to it or not.

Fans will be hoping it is not long before they see Dejan Kulusevski in a Tottenham shirt too, while Mohammed Kudus will also return to action by the end of the month and show whether or not he can deal with the pressure.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has revealed he has a 'dream' to play for Real Madrid one day, according to an interview via Cadena SER.

Porro and Spurs fell further into crisis on Thursday night when Crystal Palace came from behind to beat them 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham went into the clash with Oliver Glasner's men knowing they needed a positive result after a win and a draw for West Ham United and Nottingham Forest respectively on Wednesday left them just one point above the relegation zone.

There was hope of that when they took the lead through Dominic Solanke ten minutes before the break, but between then and half-time Igor Tudor's men had Micky van de Ven sent off and conceded three times.

Spurs' players looked bewildered while many fans had seen enough well before the final whistle, with something big now needed to stop them dropping into the Championship.

Porro: I Need to Improve to Secure 'Dream' Move

Spanish defender Porro has been speaking to radio in his home country ahead of their two-legged Champions League knockout tie with Atletico Madrid, having recently made his first-team comeback for Spurs following a hamstring injury.

The 26-year-old has started Tottenham's previous two Premier League matches, albeit both have ended in disappointment for him and his teammates.

While Porro acknowledged that the north London outfit's league form has been a 'disaster', he also revealed his 'dream' to play for Real Madrid.

When asked by Cadena SER if he could imagine himself in the famous white shirt with the uncertainty over Dani Carvajal and as Trent Alexander-Arnold adapts to life at the Bernabeu, the Spaniard said:

When you're little, you dream a lot of things, but on a day-to-day basis I think about my reality, and when you think about playing for the best teams in the world, you know that you still have things to improve.

Porro 'Very Angry' After Tottenham Decision

Porro was the most visibly animated Tottenham player last night, and he was particularly unhappy after being taken off in the 74th-minute.

The 26-year-old not only appeared to show his displeasure at the substitution towards Tudor, but he was also 'very angry' on the substitutes' bench, having been seen 'smashing everything' on it.

While it is good to see that frustration and passion from the Spaniard, Spurs now need him and his other senior teammates to step up and make the difference in the coming fixtures.

Tudor will hope to have more players back from injury and suspension against Liverpool in nine days' time, and the team needs to put in the performance of their lives to get something at Anfield.

Eight Managers Who Could Replace Igor Tudor At Tottenham Today

Eight Managers Tottenham Can Appoint Today To Replace Igor Tudor - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are heading towards relegation to the Championship and there is little out there at the moment that can stop them.

Spurs made it 11 games without a win - a new, unwanted Premier League record for the Lilywhites - with defeat to Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.

Things got off to a good start with Dominic Solanke opening the scoring in the 34th minute - the first time they have led in a match since the 2-2 draw with Burnley on January 24.

But things turned sour quickly. Micky van de Ven saw red for pulling back Ismaila Sarr in the box with the Senegalese converting the resultant spot-kick in the 40th minute, before Jorgen Strand Larsen and another Sarr goal in first half injury-time put the game to bed before half-time.

Rumours are circulating that after just three games in charge, interim head coach Igor Tudor could be sacked, with no sign any of his methods are getting across to the beleaguered players.

That would be quite the admission of wrongdoing from the Tottenham hierarchy but it could be the only thing that could save Spurs from the ignominy of relegation to the Championship.

GIVEMESPORT takes a look at which managers could come in immediately to save Spurs' sinking ship.

Rumours Suggest A Trio Of Old Faces

With the rumours of Tudor being sacked come plenty about names who could replace him. And there were reports circulating even before the clash with Palace of three old faces being brought in to save the club.

Harry Redknapp has been manager of Tottenham before and openly admitted he would be happy to return when Thomas Frank was sacked.

But it would not be Redknapp on his own. It has been suggested that he would be brought in alongside another former Spurs manager in Tim Sherwood and former player Jermain Defoe, who has now completed his coaching badges and has done some work with the Spurs academy.

Redknapp is now 79 and has been out of management for almost ten years, while Sherwood has not been a manager for more than that, having left Aston Villa in 2015.

All three know the club inside out, however, and have the club at heart.

Club Legend Throws Hat In The Ring

The Spurs players do not look interested or up for the fight right now and that is a concern. Someone who knows the club, lilke those mentioned above, and can get them fighting for the shirt, could be the only option.

And there are other options in that regard, one who has openly admitted he would be happy to return.

Glenn Hoddle is a Spurs legend and both played and managed the club during his career. He is another who has been out of management for some time - 20 years to be exact - but he would bring a younger, newly-experienced manager with him in Robbie Keane.

Speaking on the Could It Be Magic FA Cup podcast, he said: Robbie [Keane]’s doing great as a young manager. So to have a steady springboard and someone experienced like myself would be a good formula, in many ways.

“I think it’d be a shrewd move to have somebody, whether it was me or somebody experienced with him."

Other Former Players Who Could Jump In

Looking away from those, there are some other former players who might be happy to do a job, and have more experience than all those mentioned above, bar perhaps Keane.

Ryan Mason has been there and done it before, taking on the interim role at Tottenham on two occasions already. He is out of work following his sacking as West Bromwich Albion head coach and would surely welcome a return to save the club he loves.

Then there's Jurgen Klinsmann, who has managed at the top level of international football and has admitted Tottenham is "in my heart". He is out of work and would no doubt be happy to jump in and rescue the club. After all, he was willing to do it before when Jose Mourinho was sacked.

The Manager Spurs Are Interested In For The Summer

There are two leading candidates to become Spurs head coach in the summer, GIVEMESPORT understands and one of them is available right now.

Mauricio Pochettino returning to the club he managed from 2014 to 2019 would be a popular choice for the fans, but there is another name who is well liked inside the corridors of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and that is Roberto De Zerbi.

The Italian left his role as Marseille boss just hours before Frank was sacked by Tottenham and is available now. Getting him could be difficult, given he wants to wait until the summer to assess his options - which could be plentiful - but if Spurs want him they could and perhaps should go and get him now.

Every Tottenham Player's Potential New Wage if Relegated to Championship

Every Tottenham player's potential new wage if they are relegated to the Championship - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham now find themselves firmly involved in the relegation dogfight after losing their fifth consecutive Premier League fixture on Thursday night.

Spurs took the lead against Crystal Palace in the 34th minute through Dominic Solanke, but the game was turned on its head shortly afterwards when Micky van de Ven was shown a straight red card.

Spurs now find themselves one point above the relegation zone with just nine matches left to play. There’s already talk that Igor Tudor could be axed as the club’s interim manager, less than a month after taking charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

According to various outlets, including BBC Sport, it’s been widely reported that Tottenham players have clauses in their contracts which would see their salaries automatically reduced by 50% in the event of relegation to the Championship.

While some of the club’s higher-profile players would inevitably leave the north London outfit in search of top-flight football, we’ve taken a closer look at how much every member of the Spurs squad would be earning if their salaries are slashed in half.

Under £40,000 Per Week

Back-up goalkeeper Brandon Austin is currently Spurs' lowest-earner on £15,000 a week. His new wage would leave him on just £7,500 a week if Tottenham go down. However, his teammates would see an even more dramatic decrease in their salaries.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is one of four Tottenham players whose weekly wage would drop from £70,000 to £37,500. Destiny Udogie, Archie Gray and Rodrigo Bentancur also join the Italian shot-stopper in this category. Although how many of them would still be Tottenham players beyond this summer in the event of relegation to the Championship is uncertain.

Over £40,000 Per Week

Stars like Micky van de Ven and Richarlison will see their weekly wages drop all the way down to £45,000 a week. While the club's top two earners, Cristian Romero and Xavi Simons, will see their wages reduced significantly from £195,000 down to £97,500.

However, the likes of Romero, Simons, James Maddison and Conor Gallagher would almost certainly leave Tottenham if they're relegated from the top-flight. The same can be said for most other players in the following table.
