Tottenham Hotspur are “in talks” with Atalanta about a deal for their star forward Ademola Lookman ahead of the transfer deadline, according to TBR Football.

TBR Football have reported that Ademola Lookman is “emerging as an option” for Spurs in the final stages of the transfer window. Since joining Atalanta in 2022, Lookman has developed into one of the best forwards in world football, having been named African Footballer of the Year and making the Ballon d’Or shortlist in 2024.

Lookman has been seeking a move away from Bergamo this summer, having fallen out with the hierarchy at Atalanta. The Nigerian international is entering the prime years of his career and if Spurs are unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Savinho from Manchester City, then Lookman would represent a brilliant alternative as Spurs look to return to a top-six league finishing position at the end of the campaign.

Tottenham could explore a late move for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez before the transfer deadline on Monday, according to Sky Sports.
