Tottenham Hotspur are “in talks” with Atalanta about a deal for their star forward Ademola Lookman ahead of the transfer deadline, according to TBR Football.

Despite ending their 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League, Ange Postecoglou was sacked by Spurs for their poor Premier League form. In his place, the Lilywhites appointed Thomas Frank, formerly of Brentford, and have made three major additions for the Dane.

Not including any permanent additions who had spent time at the club on loan in the previous season, Spurs have recruited creative outlets Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons from West Ham and RB Leipzig respectively, having also signed Joao Palhinha on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.

All three could prove to be crucial players for Spurs, with Simons offering the club further creative depth in the aftermath of both James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski suffering injuries. With Champions League football on their calendar, Tottenham will have a busy schedule across the campaign and as such, it is understandable as to why Spurs are seeking further additions ahead of the deadline.

Now, reports have indicated that Spurs could push forward with a move for this sensational attacker.

Spurs Pushing For Lookman, He’s Keen On The Move

TBR Football have reported that Ademola Lookman is “emerging as an option” for Spurs in the final stages of the transfer window. Since joining Atalanta in 2022, Lookman has developed into one of the best forwards in world football, having been named African Footballer of the Year and making the Ballon d’Or shortlist in 2024.

Lookman has been seeking a move away from Bergamo this summer, having fallen out with the hierarchy at Atalanta. Tottenham have seemingly tracked the Nigerian international for some time and are now, as per TBR Football, in talks to negotiate a potential transfer for the 27-year-old. A deal "could well happen," with a move to Spurs said to "appeal" to Lookman.

Comfortable either out wide or as a central striker, Lookman, who has been called "incredible," would be a brilliant addition for Frank’s squad. The Nigerian international is entering the prime years of his career and if Spurs are unsuccessful in their attempts to sign Savinho from Manchester City, then Lookman would represent a brilliant alternative as Spurs look to return to a top-six league finishing position at the end of the campaign.

Tottenham could explore a late move for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez before the transfer deadline on Monday, according to Sky Sports.

The North London side have reportedly earmarked the England international as a potential addition to Thomas Frank’s backline, as Gomez could be available for a move in the final day of the summer window.

Liverpool are looking to replace the 28-year-old with Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi and could be open to Gomez’s departure if they get the deal done in time.

Gomez is believed to have several suitors in England and Europe amid his potential availability, with Palace, Tottenham and AC Milan all reportedly interested in the London-born defender.

According to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano, the Serie A side have opened talks to sign Gomez before the deadline, with an official bid on the table.

Tottenham Eyeing Late Joe Gomez Deal

According to Sky Sports, signing a new centre-back is not a priority for Tottenham in the remaining hours of the summer transfer window, but Gomez is believed to be on the shortlist amid uncertainty over his future.

The 28-year-old defender struggled for regular minutes in Liverpool’s title-winning campaign in 2024/25, making just nine Premier League appearances, six of which were starts.

He made an appearance on the opening day of the new season, coming off the bench during their 4-2 win over Bournemouth, but has not featured since.

The 15-cap England international, who joined Liverpool from Charlton in the summer of 2015, is under contract until June 2027.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Gomez is yet to score a goal in 242 appearances for Liverpool.

Tottenham have spent close to £200m on new signings in their first summer with Frank, with Xavi Simons the latest to join in a reported £52m deal from RB Leipzig.

The North London side have also welcomed Mohammed Kudus and Joao Palhinha, while permanent deals were struck for Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel following their loan spells last season.

Spurs are also looking to sign another England international in Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher, with reports claiming the Lilywhites are frontrunners to secure the 25-year-old’s signature.

Tottenham Eyeing Deadline Day Deal for £86m Serie A Forward - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign a winger before Monday's transfer deadline and AC Milan star Rafael Leao has emerged as a target, according to Miguel Delaney.

Thomas Frank's side started the season well with two wins and two clean sheets in their first two games of the Premier League, but fell to their first defeat in a toothless performance against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

The Lilywhites are now keen to add more firepower to their squad before the end of the transfer window, and they have discussed a move to sign Portugal international Leao in a surprise deal.

Tottenham Eyeing Rafael Leao Deal

Spurs have already added Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons to their forward line this summer in deals worth over £100m combined, but after allowing captain Heung-Min Son to join LAFC and seeing midfield playmaker James Maddison suffer a serious knee injury during pre-season, they want more.

Leao, who has been described as 'one of the best players in the world', is someone who club chiefs have raised as a potential option for the position, however, a deal is expected to be too complicated to complete in such a short space of time.

While a winger is seen as the preference, the club would also be open to signing another attacker as they believe Simons is capable of playing in a wider position if necessary.

The club have been strongly linked with a move for Man City star Savinho in recent weeks, and the Brazilian is open to a move to north London ahead of the deadline as he wants to play more regularly to earn a place in the Brazil squad for the World Cup next year.

However, as it stands, Man City are currently blocking any deal despite Spurs being willing to spend big money to make a deal happen, as they believe in the player for their project and don't believe they have the time or options to replace him so late on.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly frontrunners in the race with Manchester United and others to sign former Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

CaughtOffside reports that Spurs are in pole position to sign Gallagher, who Atleti are believed to have made available for sale. The Spanish giants want around £45m for the Englishman who has struggled to impress Diego Simeone.

The Lilywhites are long-term admirers and were poised to swoop for the 25-year-old when a move to the Metropolitano was in doubt. Thomas Frank's predecessor, Ange Postecoglou, was eager to bring him to North London, and it appears he remains a target despite his struggles in Spain.

Tottenham Readying Bid For Conor Gallagher

Gallagher joined Atleti in a £33.7m deal and started brightly before coming off the boil and losing his starting berth in Simeone's side. He was brought off at half-time of a shock 2-1 loss to Espanyol in Los Colchoneros' La Liga opener.

The England international has since been named on the bench, and it appears that the Spaniards are prepared to part ways permanently. He has four years left on his contract but could soon be returning to the Premier League with Spurs a possible destination.

The report claims that Daniel Levy's transfer chiefs view Gallagher as a "perfect fit" and that they are "preparing a bid in the region of £35m-40m." He could be keen on a return to the English capital ahead of next summer's World Cup and to join a Lilywhites side undergoing a rebuild.

Spurs may face competition from United, who are thought to be "monitoring" the situation as they eye a new midfielder for Ruben Amorim. But they also have Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton on their radar as a possible Carlos Baleba alternative.

Palace are also keen on bringing Gallagher, who earns a purported £200,000 per week (via Capology), back to Selhurst Park after he shone on loan and became their 2021-22 Player of the Year. There is also interest from Newcastle United, although the arrival of Jacob Ramsey may place doubts on another midfield acquisition.

Spurs have made some high-profile signings after winning last season's Europa League, including Xavi Simons, who arrived from RB Leipzig on Friday. A new holding midfielder arrived in the form of Joao Palhinha, who joined on loan from Bayern Munich, but another midfield signing looks to be on the agenda ahead of Monday's deadline.

Paratici Driving Late Tottenham Swoop for 'World-Class' Forward - GiveMeSport
Description

Driven by club consultant Fabio Paratici, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in making a move for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, according to talkSPORT.

It has been a summer of change for Tottenham, who parted ways with manager Ange Postecoglou just weeks after the Australian guided Spurs to Europa League success. Though he became the man to end the club’s 17-year trophy drought, staggeringly poor Premier League form was the leading factor in his departure.

In his place, Spurs appointed Thomas Frank, formerly of Brentford, who has overseen two wins and two clean sheets in the two Premier League games he has managed at the time of writing. A tactically astute manager, as proven in his time with the Bees, Spurs have made multiple signings to bolster Frank’s side.

Not including any permanent additions who previously spent time at Tottenham on loan, the Lilywhites have made three major signings for Frank. Holding midfielder Joao Palhinha has signed on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich, whilst Spurs have spent big on creative outlets Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons, the latter joining from RB Leipzig in a quickly-resolved deal.

With the 1st September transfer deadline fast approaching, Spurs remain in the market for further additions and according to recent reports, are keen on offering even more to their attack.

Spurs Pushing For Lookman

As per talkSPORT, Fabio Paratici, who will soon return to a role within the club, is the man behind Tottenham’s push for Ademola Lookman. The forward moved to Atalanta in 2022 and with consistent minutes, has developed into the player that his earlier potential suggested he could be.

Lookman, who scored a hat-trick for Atalanta in the 2024 Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, is aiming to leave Bergamo before the deadline, according to talkSPORT, having fallen out with Atalanta's hierarchy. talkSPORT also reported that Inter Milan were keen on Lookman, but are “not expected” to increase their earlier bid.

Comfortable playing anywhere across the attacking line, Lookman, who has been called "world-class," would be an incredible addition for Frank, offering cover to both his strikers and wide players.

At 27 years old, Lookman is entering his prime as a player, having already been named African Footballer of the Year and being part of a Ballon d’Or shortlist. Whether a deal is agreed remains to be seen, but the forward would be a sensational signing for the Lilywhites if they get an agreement over the line.

Tottenham Confident of ‘Stunning’ Late Deal for £80m Star After Simons

Tottenham Confident of ‘Stunning’ Late Deal for £80m Star After Simons - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham are eyeing a ‘stunning’ late deal to sign Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline, according to former scout Mick Brown.

The North London side are reportedly speaking to Villa about a potential move to sign the England international, with Thomas Frank earmarking Rogers as one of his top attacking midfield targets.

Spurs are on the market for late reinforcements to their attacking options following Son Heung-min’s departure to MLS and James Maddison’s injury setback, which could keep him out for the entire 2025/26 campaign.

They signed the Netherlands attacking midfielder Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig on a seven-year deal on Friday, after missing out on Eberechi Eze, who joined Arsenal last week.

Tottenham Eyeing Late Morgan Rogers Move

According to Brown, Tottenham have spoken to Villa about Rogers’ potential availability and feel they can get a deal done before the deadline, although it would be another expensive signing.

While manager Unai Emery wants to keep the England international at Villa Park, the club’s financial issues may play a part in their decision regarding Rogers, with Tottenham now exploring an ‘ambitious’ move:

“Morgan Rogers would be an ambitious move for Tottenham. The main thing with Villa at the moment, there are those financial issues hanging over them.

“They haven’t been able to spend big, so they want to keep the players they have got, and that will direct Morgan Rogers’ future and whether they let him go.

“He’s done really well at Villa so it’s no surprise there is interest in him. I’m told Tottenham have spoken to Villa about whether he might be available.

“Unai Emery wants to keep him, he’s one of his better players so that’s a given really. Spurs feel they can get a deal done, but if they do it certainly won’t be cheap.”

Rogers, who joined Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024, blossomed into one of the best attacking midfielders in the country during his 18 months in the West Midlands.

The £80m-rated 23-year-old has registered 17 goals and 17 assists in 72 appearances for Villa to date and was named the PFA Young Player of the Year earlier this month.

Rogers was rewarded with a fresh Villa contract extension in November amid his fine form, with new terms keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030.

Tottenham also looked at signing his England teammate Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, but the move collapsed, with the midfielder signing a new long-term deal with Nottingham Forest.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, with just a few days remaining before the transfer window closes, according to El Chiringuito TV.

It's been a slow summer transfer window for Spurs, but they are starting to make moves in the market as we edge closer towards Monday's deadline. Joao Palhinha and Mohammed Kudus have arrived through the door as senior options, while the north London club have agreed a deal to sign RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons, pending official confirmation. GIVEMESPORT correspondent Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier today that Tottenham have agreed to sign Simons on a seven-year deal for a fee of around £52m.

Tottenham were pushing to bring in attacking midfield options earlier in the window, and with James Maddison ruled out for the majority of the season due to injury, they've upped their pursuit. It wouldn't be a surprise to see multiple players brought in in this position.

Tottenham Enter Race to Sign Barcelona's Fermin Lopez

According to El Chirinquito TV, Tottenham have now entered the race to sign Lopez from Barcelona, but they are facing competition to secure his signature.

Lopez's versatility could make him a useful option for Thomas Frank, who was appointed earlier in the year. The 22-year-old, described as 'spectacular' by Breaking The Lines, has predominantly played as a central midfielder, whether that be deeper or in an attacking position, during his career, but he's also capable of playing out wide.

Whether Lopez, who could cost £78m, would be willing to make the move to Tottenham before the window slams shut remains to be seen, but there's no doubt it would be a smart addition for the north London club. Barcelona might not let him go too easily considering he still makes an impact in Hansi Flick's side, so it could be an expensive deal for them to complete.

It's been an impressive start to the season for Tottenham, defeating Burnley at home before a comfortable 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham to 'Make Offer' for £200,000-a-Week Star After Simons and Akanji

Tottenham Hotspur could look to land yet another star from abroad after they have completed the incredible signing of RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, according to reports - with the north London outfit thought to be 'ready to bid' for Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher 'in the coming hours'.

The report by AS (via SportWitness) states that Spurs are keen on signing Gallagher this summer, with Atletico wanting around £35million to sell the England international. The La Liga club will only look for a new addition if there is an exit, which is possible with Gallagher being considered by Spurs - and the Europa League champions 'are not giving up' in their quest to land him.

Report: Tottenham Set to Submit Offer 'in the Coming Hours' for Gallagher

With that in mind, the report states that Daniel Levy will approach Atletico's top brass with an offer 'in the coming hours' to bring him back to the Premier League, with the north London club having 'money in the bank'.

They have the funds, and will send offers to the La Liga club before the window slams shut on Monday evening - though other reports in Spain, via Mundo Deportivo, have claimed that Atletico will reject any possible approach for the Chelsea academy graduate so late into the window.

Gallagher only joined Diego Simeone's squad last summer on a £200,000-a-week contract, in a deal that saw midfielder Joao Felix head the other way, fitting into Simeone's typically hard-working, press-heavy midfield. Starting half of their La Liga games last season, Gallagher racked up six goal contributions from central midfield, as well as a crucial goal in their eventual penalty shoot-out loss to cross-city rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League - and so he's become a dependable member of the Argentine gaffer's squad.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Conor Gallagher has one goal for England, coming in November against the Republic of Ireland.

However, with a number of clubs interested in his services, Gallagher could move back to the Premier League - and Spurs could be an option, having been interested last year prior to his move to Spain.

Manchester City star Manuel Akanji is also an option for Thomas Frank, with reports earlier in the day that the Swiss star is on Spurs' radar in a bid to boost their defensive ranks - and if they can get deals for Simons, Akanji and Gallagher over the line, it could be a relative season of domestic success for Tottenham after their poor campaign last time out, with saw them finish in a measly seventeenth place in the Premier League under Ange Postecoglou.

'Superstar' Forward 'Really' Wants to Join Tottenham With Xavi Simons

Manchester City forward Savinho ‘really’ wants to join Tottenham Hotspur before the transfer deadline, according to journalist Graeme Bailey.

The Brazil international is reportedly aiming to depart North London in the final few days of the summer window, with Spurs not giving up on the pursuit despite Man City’s firm stance.

Pep Guardiola’s side are not looking to part ways with the 21-year-old forward ahead of the deadline, as Savinho’s departure would likely force them into the market to find a replacement.

Bailey claims Savinho was left ‘unhappy’ with City’s decision to block his move to Tottenham, as he is really keen on joining forces with Thomas Frank and is still hoping that the move can happen before the window shuts on Monday.

Savinho Pushing to Join Tottenham

According to Bailey, Tottenham remain attentive to Savinho’s situation ahead of the deadline, but have made it clear to the Brazilian they are moving forward with other targets as well:

“City’s hierarchy’s stance was always the same with Savinho; they did not want him to leave. Yes, they showed an interest in Rodrygo, but it was always difficult, and they maintained their stance on Savinho.

“However, I am told that Savinho really wanted the Spurs move and still does; the window remains open until Monday, and he hopes the deal could happen.

“Spurs will remain attentive to the situation, should they get any encouragement; however, they have also made it clear to Savinho they are moving forward with other targets too.”

Savinho was a regular in Pep Guardiola’s squad following his move from Girona to Man City last summer, making 48 appearances, scoring three goals and providing 13 assists in 2024/25.

The ‘superstar’ Brazilian forward has missed the start of the 2025/26 campaign after picking up an injury in pre-season and is expected to return around the September international break.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Savinho has won 13 senior caps for Brazil to date, scoring once.

Tottenham are anticipating a busy end to the summer transfer window, with RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons’ arrival now close to completion.

The Lilywhites have reached an agreement over a €60m (£52m) deal for the Dutch international, with personal terms also in place.

Description

Chelsea are not expected to attempt to hijack Tottenham’s deal to sign RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, journalist Matt Law has revealed.

The Stamford Bridge side have been heavily linked with a move for the Dutch international in recent weeks but never made a formal bid and now have other targets in mind.

Chelsea are also reportedly not looking to burn bridges with Spurs after enjoying a positive relationship with the North London side over recent years, with any attempt to hijack Simons’ deal now ruled out.

Tottenham reached an agreement with Leipzig on Thursday over a deal worth €60m (£51.8m) for Simons, with personal terms also in place.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is set to become Spurs’ fifth senior arrival of the summer window, with an official announcement pending following his successful medical.

Chelsea Not Looking to Hijack Simons Deal

Law, writing on X, revealed that Chelsea never made a formal bid for Simons despite being linked for weeks, with Spurs now close to signing the 22-year-old:

Simons completed his medical on Thursday ahead of finalising his proposed move to Spurs, which is now only subject to the 22-year-old closing off the final details of his exit with Leipzig.

Spurs have identified the Dutch international as a late alternative to Eberechi Eze, who snubbed long-standing interest from the North London side and opted for rivals Arsenal instead.

Tottenham also missed out on Nottingham Forest ace Morgan Gibbs-White earlier this summer, with their efforts intensifying to sign a new playmaker following James Maddison’s injury.

The England international is expected to miss around six months of action following an ACL setback, while Dejan Kulusevski is also unavailable after suffering a knee injury in May.

Chelsea, meanwhile, agreed a £40m deal with Manchester United for Alejandro Garnacho on Thursday and are also exploring a move for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, with club-to-club talks ongoing.
