Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign the Bournemouth defender Illia Zabarnyi during the January transfer window.

According to Give Me Sport, Johan Lange will lead negotiations for the North London club and they are hoping to be Chelsea and Manchester City to his signature. The 22-year-old central defender has done quite well in the Premier League and he has attracted the attention of the top clubs.

Tottenham need another central defender and the Bournemouth star would be the ideal acquisition. The report states that he will cost over £50 million, and it will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to pay up for him. They have been keeping tabs on him for a while.

He is well-settled in the Premier League and he could make an instant impact at Tottenham. They have the financial resources to pay a premium for him. However, they might need to improve the other areas of their squad as well, and they will probably hope to sign the defender for a more reasonable price. It will be interesting if they can get the deal done.

The 22-year-old has shown his quality with the Cherries, and he will look to compete at a higher level now. Tottenham could provide him with that platform. He might be able to compete in european competitions with them. Also, they have an exciting project and a talented squad. They could be pushing for trophies in the coming seasons and Zabarnyi will certainly be excited to join them.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham submit an offer to sign the defender in the coming weeks. They have made a mediocre start to the season and quality signs in January could help them bounce back strongly. They will be expected to secure a top-four finish this season.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the highly rated attacker Mason Melia.

According to Football Insider, they are in advanced negotiations to sign the 17-year-old attacker in a deal worth around €1 million. The Republic of Ireland under-19 international is reportedly a target for clubs like Everton, Crystal Palace and Brighton as well.

Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping tabs on him as well.

Tottenham are looking to steal a match on their rivals and get the deal done now. However, the 17-year-old will only join the Londoners next September when he turns 18. Melia is highly rated across Europe and he has a bright future. He could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance.

Tottenham could use more quality and depth in the attacking unit and the 17-year-old would be a long-term prospect for them. He could be a useful squad player for now, and he will eventually look to hold down a regular starting spot at the North London club.

The opportunity to join Tottenham will be quite exciting for him, and it would be a major step up in his career. He would get to test himself in English football and compete against top-class defenders.

The player has seven goals and two assists in 2024, and he has already established himself as an important player for St Patrick’s Athletic. He is unlikely to get regular gametime at Tottenham right away, and it will be interesting to see if the Londoners decide to loan him out so that he can gain regular first-team experience in the coming months.

Gold says Tottenham could sell Yves Bissouma next summer

Tottenham could soon face a pivotal decision regarding the future of Yves Bissouma, with reports indicating a possible departure next summer.

Bissouma, whose contract runs until 2026, has been a key figure in Ange Postecoglou’s squad this season. However, according to Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, the club may be open to selling the 28-year-old if a reasonable offer is received.

Alasdair Gold: Tottenham would likely accept a bid for Yves Bissouma

However, Gold emphasised that the player’s willingness to move, particularly with only a year remaining on his deal next summer, could play a significant role in any potential transfer.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the Spurs expert said:

“At this stage, Tottenham would likely accept a decent bid for Yves Bissouma next summer, if it arrived.

“Just how motivated the player would be to leave the club with only 1 year left on his contract could prove to be a roadblock to any possible transfer.”

Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton in the summer of 2022 for a reported £30 million fee. After a disappointing debut season under Antonio Conte, he emerged as a key player in Postecoglou’s midfield, earning plaudits for his performances this campaign.

He started the 2023–24 season in scintillating form, securing consecutive Man of the Match awards in early fixtures against Brentford and Manchester United.

His ability to shield the defence, control transitions, and dictate the tempo of play has made him an indispensable presence in Tottenham’s midfield.

So far this season, Bissouma has made 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice in the Premier League. His standout moment came in a 4-0 rout of Everton, where he delivered a commanding display capped with a well-taken goal.

Despite his strong on-pitch performances, the midfielder’s time at Spurs has not been without controversy. Earlier this year, the midfielder was suspended for Tottenham’s Premier League opener after being caught on video inhaling laughing gas. The incident raised concerns about his professionalism and discipline, casting a shadow over his otherwise solid contributions.

With 175 Premier League appearances to his name, Bissouma’s experience and talent are undeniable assets. Yet, as the midfielder approaches the final year of his contract next summer, Tottenham may be tempted to cash in rather than risk losing him for free later.

The decision will hinge on several factors, including his form in the months ahead, his willingness to remain in North London, and the calibre of bids Spurs receive. For now, the ball is in Tottenham’s court as they weigh the pros and cons of retaining or parting ways with one of their most influential players.

Journalist claims Richarlison is open to a move to Premier League rivals

Tottenham might soon face a crucial decision regarding Richarlison’s future, with Newcastle United reportedly showing interest in the Brazilian forward ahead of the next transfer window.

Richarlison’s spell at Spurs has been overshadowed by recurring injuries and inconsistent performances, limiting his contributions under manager Ange Postecoglou.

Despite being tied to a contract until 2027, the 27-year-old has struggled to make an impact this season. Across all competitions, he has managed just seven appearances, recording one goal and an assist in only 173 minutes of action.

His ongoing fitness concerns, including a hamstring injury sustained in November, have already caused him to miss 17 matches this campaign. These issues have made it difficult for Richarlison to secure a consistent role in Tottenham’s attacking setup, with calls for him to be sold now gaining strength.

Ben Jacobs: Richarlison open to Newcastle move

Reputable journalist Ben Jacobs has recently offered insight into Richarlison’s situation, suggesting that the forward is now open to leaving Spurs in 2025. While Saudi Arabian clubs have reportedly expressed interest, Richarlison is focused on staying in Europe to enhance his chances of representing Brazil at the 2026 World Cup.

Newcastle United may look to take advantage of this development as they seek to strengthen their frontline. However, financial factors could complicate any potential deal.

Tottenham are believed to value Richarlison at £60 million, but Newcastle may find this figure steep, particularly considering his injury history and current form. The Magpies are more likely to propose a fee in the region of £40–45 million.

Speaking on NUFC Matters YouTube channel, Jacobs said:

“So Richarlison is an interesting one. A bit of fresh information here. The situation with Richarlison is the player was absolutely adamant last summer that he wanted to fight for his place at Spurs, and we were all very pleased to see him happy and sharing very candidly about the personal and mental health struggles that he’s had. And I think most of us just wanted it to work at Spurs and for Richarlison to be the 60 million plus player and to really thrive in the Premier League.

“Because at his best, he’s a pleasure to watch, and he can be unstoppable, but now I’m told the player’s changed his mind in the last few months and is willing to leave Spurs in 2025. But because of his aspirations to play in the 2026 World Cup, he doesn’t want to go to Saudi Arabia. If he gives a clear indication to Saudi that he wants to go, there are three or four of the PIF clubs that are desperate for him, but at the moment, it’s a no to Saudi or outside of Europe because he still wants to put himself in the frame by staying in Europe for the 2026 World Cup.

“And that may open up the door for a club like Newcastle United, so there is some substance to Richarlison and Newcastle, but price is the big issue because Spurs have been adamant throughout all of 2024 that if they’re to entertain an offer, it’s 60 million or more. Newcastle would not be looking anywhere near that number, given the player’s injury record and his form. Therefore, if this is to develop and Richarlison is open to going to another Premier League club, it would have to be from Newcastle’s point of view around the £40-45 million mark.”

With Dominic Solanke now firmly establishing himself as Postecoglou’s go-to striker, Richarlison’s role at the club appears increasingly uncertain. While Postecoglou has acknowledged the Brazilian’s abilities, his lack of availability may prompt Spurs to entertain offers.

For Newcastle, the decision hinges on whether they are willing to bet on Richarlison’s potential to rediscover his form. Meanwhile, Tottenham could use the opportunity to reinvest in more dependable attacking talent to support their ambitions.

The London club have already held talks with their representatives regarding a free transfer. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the players to join them.

Angel Gomes has been linked with a move back to England for months now. The former Manchester United Academy graduate might feel that he has unfinished business in English football and he could be tempted to join a club like Tottenham. They have an exciting project and a talented squad. He could be an important first-team player for them. Tottenham need more depth in the attacking unit, especially with James Maddison putting in inconsistent performances. Gomes will add more competition for places and it will help Spurs improve as a squad.

The report states that Tottenham have submitted an important offer to the player and they are waiting for his decision.

The striker has 17 goals and three assists in 23 matches this season and he will be out of contract in the summer of 2025. He could be available for a reasonable amount of money in January and Spurs would do well to secure his signature.

They need attacking reinforcements despite the arrival of Dominic Solanke at the start of the season. David is a proven goalscorer in the French League and he could prove to be a solid long-term acquisition. The Canadian is entering his years and he could play his best football for the North London club.

Their attacking style of football could suit him as well. Signing a player of quality for a knockdown price would be a masterstroke for Tottenham. It remains to be seen whether they can sign him for a reasonable amount of money next month. Alternatively, they could secure a pre-contract agreement with the player and sign him for free in the summer.

The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be quite exciting for the player and he will look to test himself in the Premier League. Tottenham could provide him with the platform to push for major trophies. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Tottenham act quickly to address injuries: New player set to arrive in days

Tottenham Hotspur’s ongoing injury woes have compelled the club to bring forward the arrival of South Korean prospect Min-hyuk Yang earlier than planned.

Originally set to join Spurs in January after completing the transfer in July on a pre-contract, the 18-year-old winger will now join the North London side ahead of schedule to help alleviate their squad’s injury-related struggles. The player himself recently confirmed that he will be travelling to the UK on December 16th to join his new club.

Min-hyuk Yang arrival within days as club make emergency arrangements amid injury crisis

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King has suggested that Yang’s early recall is directly linked to the team’s depleted attacking resources.

Key forwards such as Richarlison, Wilson Odobert, and Mikey Moore are currently unavailable, with Odobert facing an extended period on the sidelines following surgery for a hamstring injury.

While King acknowledged that bringing in Yang was necessary under the circumstances, he also cautioned against expecting too much too soon from the youngster.

Transitioning to the demands of Premier League football, especially while adapting to a new environment and culture, will take time for the South Korean talent.

Speaking to Tottenham News, King said:

“What has caused Spurs to rush Yang to England.

“I’d imagine the list of injuries, which includes the likes of Richarlison and Wilson Odobert. However, I don’t think that Yang is going to be the player to turn things around for the club.

“Obviously Spurs feel as though this is someone worth bringing to the club ahead of schedule. However, it is hardly a massive decision, is it? It is only a matter of weeks before he is meant to come anyway.

“I think he is being brought in because of the injury situation.”

Despite these challenges, Yang’s performances in the K League 1 have been nothing short of outstanding. The winger has contributed 12 goals and six assists in 38 appearances this season, demonstrating his ability to operate effectively on either wing. His creativity and knack for making an impact in the attacking third highlight his potential to inject much-needed energy into Tottenham’s forward line.

As Spurs endure a tough run of form, sitting 11th in the Premier League, Ange Postecoglou is searching for solutions to turn their season around. Yang’s inclusion offers hope—not just as an immediate option for squad depth, but also as a player with the potential to develop into a vital asset for the team.

As Yang begins his career at Tottenham, he will undoubtedly aim to emulate the success of his fellow South Korean Son Heung-min, who has become a cherished figure at the club.

Cristian Romero ruled out for 6 weeks in fresh injury blow to Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur’s injury troubles deepen as vice-captain and star defender Cristian Romero is set to be sidelined for six weeks due to a muscle injury.

This update, confirmed by Argentine journalist Gastón Edul on X, comes as another blow to Spurs’ already challenging Premier League season.

Romero had recently returned from previous injuries to play against Chelsea but was forced off the field just 15 minutes into the game last Sunday. Replaced by Radu Dragusin, his early exit disrupted Tottenham’s defensive setup in the eventual 4-3 defeat.

Gaston Edul: Cristian Romero out for 6 weeks

According to Edul, while Romero has fully recovered from his earlier foot and toe injuries, this new setback will extend his time away from the squad. The Argentine defender has already missed six games this season, and his extended absence further strains Spurs’ defence.

He shared the following update on X:

“Cuti Romero has a muscle injury, not in his foot. He has recovered from that injury. He will be out for six weeks.”

Cuti Romero tiene una lesión muscular, no fue en el pie. Está curado de esa lesión.

Va a ser baja por seis semanas.

— Gastón Edul (@gastonedul) December 9, 2024

Since arriving at Tottenham in 2021 on loan from Atalanta, Romero has been a vital part of the team. His impressive performances led to a permanent transfer, securing him a contract until 2027.

Known for his aggressive defensive style and leadership, Romero has been a cornerstone under manager Ange Postecoglou, starting all 12 of his Premier League appearances this season prior to his recent injuries.

Last season, Romero showed his value on both ends of the pitch, scoring five goals in 33 games—the highest tally for a defender in the league.

The defensive woes for Tottenham don’t end there. Romero’s centre-back partner, Micky van de Ven, also exited the Chelsea match with a hamstring problem. Although the Dutch defender’s recovery timeline suggests he may return quite sooner than Romero, his absence compounds the challenges for Postecoglou’s side.

Currently sitting 11th in the league table, Spurs face an uphill battle to stabilize their defence and rediscover form. Fans will be hoping for the swift return of both Romero and Van de Ven to help revive their Premier League campaign.

He is versatile enough to operate on both flanks as well as an attacking midfielder. He will add technical ability, pace and flair to the side. His performances have been quite impressive in the Premier League this season and he will only get better with coaching and experience. He could develop into a top-class player for Tottenham with the right guidance. The winger is reportedly valued at €25 million (£21m) and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done.

Tyler Dibling would be a quality addition

They need to add more depth to the side and the 18-year-old would be a long-term investment for them. It will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. The €25 million asking price could look like a bargain in the long term if manages to fulfil his potential.

Meanwhile, Manchester United need to bring in an upgrade on players like Antony and the 18-year-old seems like the ideal acquisition. It remains to be seen whether they step up their efforts to sign the player with an offer in the coming months.

Similarly, Chelsea needs to find better alternative alternatives to the lights of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke. They have not been able to live up to the expectations since the move to Stamford Bridge.

The attacker has seven goals and an assist to his name in all competitions this season and he could prove to be a quality addition to the Spurs attack.

The player is reported valued at £25 million and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done. They will face competition from Premier League rivals, Liverpool, who are keen on signing the player as well. It will be interesting to see where the Turkish international attacker ends up.

Baris Alper Yilmaz could fancy Tottenham move

Meanwhile, Liverpool need attacking reinforcements as well. Mohamed Salah will be out of contract in the summer of 2025, and it is no surprise that they are looking at potential alternatives. It will be interesting to see if they can beat Tottenham to his signature. Both clubs should be able to afford his asking price, and they will be an attractive destination for the player.
