Tottenham 'Leading Contender' to Sign 'Superstar' Ahead of Liverpool - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are a leading contender to secure the signature of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, alongside Liverpool, according to Caught Offside.

Guehi appeared incredibly close to making the move to Anfield during the summer transfer window, with GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano confirming that the England international completed a medical with the Merseyside club. Guehi eventually stayed at Palace, but his contract expires next summer, meaning he will be able to pick from a host of clubs who will inevitably be in the race to sign him.

Unfortunately for Palace, they look set to lose Guehi for nothing, with the English centre-back clearly keen on departing the club, considering he was happy to move to Liverpool in the summer. Where he ends up remains to be seen, but there's no doubt plenty of sides will be battling to secure his signature if he's available for nothing.

Tottenham Leading Contenders to Sign Marc Guehi

According to a report from Caught Offside, Tottenham are a leading contender to sign Crystal Palace defender Guehi in the summer transfer window, with his departure considered 'when not if'. Spurs view him as a relatively low-cost but high-impact defensive reinforcement, his leadership qualities and Premier League experience would strengthen the spine of their back line.

Liverpool remain interested as well, seeking to revive their pursuit following the failed summer move. The Eagles could accept a lower fee in the January transfer window just to try and salvage something from him, especially as La Liga outfits Barcelona and Real Madrid are considering offers in the winter.

Guehi, labelled a 'superstar' by Steve Parish, would be a smart signing for a reasonable for a host of clubs around Europe, and if he's available on a free transfer, it wouldn't be a surprise if every side in world football wanted to bring him in. Despite being just 25 years old, Guehi has plenty of experience at international and Premier League level, regularly captaining Palace.

Guehi will have to weigh up which club is going to offer him regular first team football, especially if he moves in the January transfer window. The World Cup is fast approaching, and the England international will be desperate to be one of Thomas Tuchel's starters when the tournament begins in the summer of 2026.

Now or Never: Tottenham Must Sign £86m Game-Changer After Fabrizio Romano Update - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur have made a promising start to the season following head coach Thomas Frank's summer appointment, despite being forced to settle for a point against Premier League strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, but they should jump at the chance to seal Bayern Munich star Harry Kane's return to Hotspur Way in 2026.

Spurs showed plenty of ambition while the transfer window was open for business, with Mohammed Kudus proving to be the most expensive arrival thanks to his £55million switch from West Ham United, and they have been relishing being back in the Champions League after adding to the trophy cabinet last term.

But there is an appetite to secure further silverware and, in light of Dominic Solanke undergoing minor surgery to resolve an ankle problem earlier this week, Tottenham should do all they can to persuade Kane to walk away from Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich and head back to familiar surroundings next year.

Spurs Need to Prioritise Move to Land Kane Next Year

GIVEMESPORT senior reporter Fabrizio Romano dropped a big update earlier this week, confirming that Tottenham have not opened concrete talks over a move for Kane despite Frank publicly admitting his willingness to welcome the club legend back to north London. But, if they want to challenge for regular honours, they must get the deal over the line.

There is absolutely no doubt that the striker is a game-changer and would make Spurs even more threatening in the final third of the pitch. He has already found the back of the net 100 times in a Bayern Munich shirt, having reached the milestone during their victory over Werder Bremen last week, and he would be an immediate upgrade on Richarlison.

Tottenham pocketed an initial fee of £86million when they allowed Kane to embark on a fresh challenge in August 2023 and, after seeing him continue producing countless eye-catching performances at the Allianz Arena, it would be a no-brainer to give him the opportunity to make a return if he gives indications that he is interested.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Harry Kane registered six shots, won a penalty and scored two goals during Bayern Munich's victory against Werder Bremen last week

The England international is close to surpassing Alan Shearer as the Premier League's all-time leading goalscorer, which is something that Spurs should use to their advantage if they enter discussions as it is obvious that he would be keen to reach that landmark before hanging up his boots.

Admittedly, meeting Kane's wage demands will be difficult because he is currently earning more than £500,000-per-week when bonuses are triggered. But Tottenham need to do everything they can to convince him to head back to his boyhood club for a final swansong as it's a case of it being now or never.

Frank Must Take Advantage of Kane's Release Clause

Tottenham will be able to take advantage of a release clause written into Kane's Bayern Munich contract next year, with him having permission to leave for in the region of £56million in the summer if he informs his current employers of his desire to leave before the end of the winter transfer window. Although he is 32, that would still be a bargain.

He has scored more goals than anyone else in Spurs' history, thanks to getting his name on the scoresheet 280 times over the course of 435 appearances, and his clinical edge means that he would be able to spearhead the north Londoners towards more trophies after clinching the Europa League last term.

GMS senior football correspondent Ben Jacobs recently revealed that Kane would almost certainly head back to the Premier League if he leaves Bayern Munich as he has no interest in joining a Major League Soccer or Saudi Arabian side at this stage. With that being the case, Tottenham need to pounce.

Bodo/Glimt v Tottenham Predicted Starting Lineups for Champions League Match - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Bodo/Glimt for a Champions League clash, just a few months after they faced each other in the latter stages of the Europa League.

Spurs enjoyed an impressive 5-1 aggregate victory over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League semi-final, with Ange Postecoglou's side going on to win the competition. They now prepare to face them once again, but this time Thomas Frank will be in the dugout after Postecoglou was sacked before the beginning of the season.

As the two sides prepare to go head-to-head once again, this is how GIVEMESPORT believes they will line up, including any teams emerging in the last few days.

Bodo/Glimt Team News

In Bodo/Glimt's most recent game, centre-back Brede Moe and winger Bassi were both substituted in the first half of a recent cup game due to injuries, so there's a chance they could miss the game against Tottenham. Captain Ulrik Saltnes will also miss out due to illness, while Mathias Jorgensen has picked up a knock which could make him a doubt.

Bodo/Glimt Predicted XI

Bodo/Glimt Predicted XI: Lund; Sjovold, Bjortuft, Nielsen, Aleesami; Fet, Berg, Auklend; Blomberg, Hogh, Hauge

Bodo/Glimt Predicted Substitutes: Haikin (GK), Brondbo (GK), Gundersen (DEF), Klynge (MID), Rissnaes (MID), Evjen (MID), Jorgensen (FWD), Helmersen (FWD), Maatta (FWD), Bro (FWD).

Bodo/Glimt will be forced to make changes after their recent injuries, which could see them line up with a front three of Blomberg, Hogh, and Hauge. Hogh could be the danger man for Tottenham, providing 21 goals and assists this season.

Tottenham Team News

News emerges on Monday that Randal Kolo Muani and Dominic Solanke were both absent from training ahead of the game against Bodo/Glimt, so you'd imagine there's very little chance that either player will be available for this one. Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, and Kota Takai will all be unavailable, while Mathys Tel was unfortunate not to be named in their Champions League squad.

Tottenham Predicted XI

Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Danso, Van de Ven, Spence; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Johnson, Richarlison, Odobert.

Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Kinsky (GK), Romero (DEF), Udogie (DEF), Byfield (DEF), Davies (DEF), Gray (MID), Bentancur (MID), Simons (MID), Kudus (FWD), Scarlett (FWD).

We could see a host of changes after a disappointing display from Tottenham at the weekend. Xavi Simons is struggling with consistency, so we could see him drop out, while Mohamed Kudus has dropped off after a strong start. There is a lack of options in attack for Frank due to injuries.

Simons, Christian Romero, and Kudus, who earns a combined £540,000-a-week, could all be watching on from the bench as Frank looks to rotate his squad for this game.

Romano Exclusive: Harry Kane Makes Transfer Decision on Tottenham Return - GiveMeSport
Description

What’s the future looking like for Harry Kane after recent links with Tottenham Hotspur and a return to the Premier League? His name returns as usual in the media and transfers industry as he’s making history at Bayern Munich.

Kane has already reached 100 goals at the club and everyone at Bayern loves him, but the links just don’t stop as a future chapter in the Premier League can’t be ruled out for Kane ahead of the final years of his excellent career.

Thomas Frank Would 'Love' to Sign Harry Kane at Tottenham

But what’s the real situation? In recent days, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has opened the doors to a potential return for Kane mentioning that he’d be more than happy to welcome Harry back to the club.

For sure, Frank would love that to happen as Kane remains a legend of the club and is also appreciated from a technical point of view by the new head coach. But that’s it, at the moment.

There are no concrete talks or negotiations underway for Kane’s return to Spurs, and nothing will happen in the upcoming months as the England captain has a clear focus; sources guarantee he’s convinced Bayern can win every title this season including the Champions League.

Then there’s the World Cup with Kane not planning to have any transfer distractions before that. Basically, a very calm situation around Kane despite the speculation.

'Nothing Imminent' Over Transfer Talks for Harry Kane

The reality is that Spurs had a priority option clause inserted into their agreement with FC Bayern for Harry Kane; if and when Kane decides to leave, Spurs will be alerted first and the same will also happen in case other clubs decide to send proposals for the English striker.

But nothing has started at this stage and nothing is imminent; not with Spurs or any other Premier League club, amid links with Manchester United as always since Kane decided to leave Spurs years ago.

Some sources also suggest Saudi Pro League clubs are monitoring Kane’s contract situation at Bayern with two years left; but that’s it for now, as his full focus remains on the German club.

Frode Thomassen Exclusive: Bodo/Glimt, Tottenham and Frank Compared to Postecoglou

Frode Thomassen Exclusive: Bodo/Glimt, Tottenham and Frank Compared to Postecoglou - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur conquered Bodo/Glimt on their way to being crowned the Europa League winners last season, but chief executive Frode Thomassen has exclusively told GIVEMESPORT that the Norwegian outfit are relishing the opportunity to learn from their mistakes when the two sides lock horns again on Tuesday.

Having seen Spurs bag a late point against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, thanks to Joao Palhinha scoring a stoppage time equaliser for Thomas Frank's north Londoners, the Eliteserien title-chasers are aiming to overcome the odds and seal a memorable victory at the Aspmyra Stadion.

It will be a historic occasion for Bodo/Glimt as they have never previously had a home fixture in the league phase of the Champions League and, after being seen off by Tottenham in the semi-finals of the Europa League a matter of months ago, they are eager to secure a better result this time around.

Thomassen Excited to Face Spurs in a Historic Clash

Bodo/Glimt are in unchartered territory as, despite having a decent recent record in European competitions, this is the first time that they have gone past the qualifying phase of the Champions League. But their performance in the 2-2 draw with Slavia Prague earlier this month highlighted that they are not fazed by the challenge of competing in the continent's leading tournament.

Even though they were facing an uphill battle when Youssoupha Mbodji gave the home side a two-goal advantage in the Czech Republic, Bodo/Glimt fought back to grab a share of the spoils thanks to Daniel Bassi getting his name on the scoresheet and Sondre Fet claiming a last-gasp leveller.

Thomassen, has played a key role in making Bodo/Glimt's Champions League dream a reality, is adamant that Tottenham will be coming up against a tougher side than the one they faced when Ange Postecoglou was still at the helm in April as they prepare to go head-to-head once again.

"It was a game over two legs last season," he exclusively told GMS. "Tottenham won quite comfortably, I think, 3-1 in London. We scored a goal at the end of the match there, but they were pretty confident and are a strong, physical team. I think they had done their homework, reading how we like to play. We played a better team than ours, but I think this match will be different.

"It's only one game and Tottenham are away. It's early in the league phase as well. Hopefully, we learned a lot from the matches in the spring and we can take that into the match on Tuesday. I'm hoping we will be able to compete and it will be a tight match. We are well prepared and Tottenham only played a match against Wolves on Saturday.

"For the players, it's an opportunity to show our supporters what they can do. We are really obsessed with learning. Now, we have the opportunity to show people and ourselves that we have learned something from our matches against Tottenham in the spring. Many of the players are looking forward to playing Tottenham and also a team in the Premier League.

"That's special because the Premier League is pretty popular among Norwegian people. Many people in Norway are supporters of Tottenham because a lot of supporters here have one English team and one Norwegian team."

Thomassen is also looking forward to welcoming Frank to the Aspmyra Stadion, having previously met at Brentford's Gtech Community Stadium, and insists that there is still a friendly rivalry between Denmark - the homeland of Tottenham's head coach - and Norway.

"Denmark have been at the World Cup and the European Championships," he added. "Their coaches have also had great success abroad. I think Danish footballers have changed their view on football in our region. We have four or five Danish players in our squad and we've had great success getting some of the biggest talents from Denmark.

"I met Thomas at the stadium when we were visiting Brentford. I think he is a really good coach. Tottenham have changed their manager since we last played them, so this will be the first time that we meet Thomas in a competitive game. He follows Scandinavian football, so he knows Bodo/Glimt's story and will be well prepared."

Knutsen Loving Role Despite Premier League Interest

Sitting in the opposite dugout to Frank will be Bodo/Glimt chief Kjetil Knutsen, who has been in the hot-seat since January 2018 and reportedly fended off interest from Premier League sides over the course of his tenure. Thomassen has insisted the 56-year-old is loving life in the Arctic Circle and has given no indications of ever wanting to leave.

He admitted: "If Kjetil would like to go, he will go. As long as Kjetil thinks that you can achieve even more and there is more to develop here, I think he will stay with us. If not, that's the case. There have probably been many clubs who have asked for him, but he has stayed here. He lives 100 metres from the arena.

"I have never met a man who is so dedicated and passionate about his work. He is quite demanding and is a special guy. He didn't have any success before he came to Bodo, so I think it's also about some people coming together, having the energy, going in the same direction and having trust in each other.

"In 2018, we didn't do well. We were 11th in the league and nearly got relegated again. That was the first year with Kjetil as our head coach and some people would like to sack him at that moment, but we stuck together. When things are rough and you stick together, I think you make bonds with people. There is love, trust and respect, but we speak from our heart. There is no hidden agenda or people seeking power. We have grown stronger every year."

Knutsen has written his name firmly into the Bodo/Glimt history books after guiding the side to Eliteserien glory on four occasions since he was handed the managerial reins, having previously been an assistant coach, along with leading them into the Champions League. The latter is seen as a mammoth achievement.

"This is the first time since 2007 that a Norwegian team has been in the Champions League," confirmed Thomassen. "As a club, we have been in European tournaments for the last five or six years, but this is the first time that we are participating in the league phase of the Champions League. We have been in the play-offs twice, but we finally succeeded this year.

"I think this will be the first time a Champions League proper match will be played north of the Arctic Circle as well. It is special to be in the tournament because we come from a very little city. There are approximately 50,000 people living here and, in the region, there are 200,000 people. It's 10 hours by car to a bigger city in the south and it's the same in the north, so we're in the middle of nowhere. It's a big occasion for Norwegian football and, especially, for the club, along with the city and the region."

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Kjetil Knutsen has tasted victory 229 times over the course of his 414 matches in management

Stadium Move is Among Ambitious Plans in Norway

Although Bodo/Glimt have reached the pinnacle by competing in the Champions League, they are refusing to stand still and are continuing to make improvements for the future. Among the club's ambitious plans is building a new stadium, which will allow them to have an increased capacity.

Thomassen has also revealed that Bodo/Glimt have taken inspiration from British Rowing when adopting a philosophy which has resulted in them focusing more on performances and getting the best out of their squad instead of solely seeking victories and pieces of silverware.

"We say that we have no boundaries but, in one way or another, the infrastructure is holding us back," he conceded. "Our stadium is so small and is very old, with small rooms. The gym is under the stand and is pretty cold in the winter. The tunnel is really narrow as well. I don't think there has ever been a smaller stadium than ours in the Champions League.

"We need to have a new stadium. The plan is that, hopefully, we will start digging in 14 days or three weeks from now. We have worked hard to get to this stage and the plan is that it will be finished in the spring of 2027, so we will then play our first match there in the autumn.

"We are based on values and culture. We really believe in the human factor. It's not only about what kind of players come here. It's also about what kind of people they are and if they can connect together. Having the same mindset is probably the most important thing. We have stolen a quote from the British rowing federation - 'will it make the boat go faster?'. If you enter our club, everything you do will come with the question, 'will it make Bodo/Glimt better?'.

"It's about being present, bringing energy and positive thinking into the group. We never talk about winning or the result. We always talk about the performance and how that can improve."

Among Bodo/Glimt's biggest quirks is being known for giant yellow toothbrushes, thanks to fans brandishing them for a number of decades to show their support, but Tottenham captain Cristian Romero will not be receiving one ahead of going to battle at the Aspmyra Stadion.

"You will not see the toothbrush when you come here now, but the toothbrush is very famous in Bodo/Glimt's history," laughed Thomassen. "The supporter culture in Norway grew through Bodo/Glimt in 1975, when we won the cup final. They were travelling and didn't carry much luggage, so they had the toothbrush in their blazer pocket.

"The leader of the supporters was singing and using his small yellow toothbrush when, a few weeks later, they got a big yellow toothbrush from one of the dentists in Bodo. Ever since, supporters have carried their toothbrush with them. When the away teams came to Bodo, a small kid would always deliver a toothbrush to the captain. That has faded away but, when you talk about the giant yellow toothbrush, I think all the people in Bodo will know what you're talking about."

Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign Sunderland Star in 2026

Tottenham Eyeing Move to Sign Sunderland Star in 2026 - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in defender Dennis Cirkin, who could leave Sunderland in the January window, according to TBR Football.

At the time of writing, Tottenham are third in the Premier League, having lost just one of their opening six league matches to begin Thomas Frank's reign in charge of the club, the Dane having been drafted in to replace Ange Postecoglou following the Australian's sacking in the summer.

Frank proved himself to be one of the Premier League's better managers with Brentford, something that has generally continued so far with Tottenham. Not including any players who were previously at the club on loan, Spurs spent big on creative duo Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons in the latest transfer window whilst recruiting Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich.

The Lilywhites have a well-stocked squad, but it is no surprise that Tottenham are already exploring potential additions to make in January, when the transfer window re-opens. It now appears that the North London club are eyeing a Premier League defender.

Spurs Like Cirkin

TBR Football have reported that Dennis Cirkin could be sold by Sunderland this winter, the defender being within the final year of his current deal. Since debuting professionally in 2021, Cirkin has spent the entirety of his career with the Black Cats, helping them earn promotion to the Premier League last summer.

Since their promotion, however, Cirkin has scarcely played, having struggled with injury problems since the latter stages of their promotion-winning campaign. As such, having signed both Reinildo and Arthur Masuaku, it now appears that Sunderland are ready to lose the England youth international.

With "no talks regarding extending his contract," as per TBR Football, Cirkin is on the radar of numerous teams, including Tottenham, with whom Cirkin spent his time as a youth player.

Spurs have both Destiny Udogie and Djed Spence to operate as left-backs at the time of writing and as good as Cirkin is, it is hard to see him dislodging them both.

Should Spurs push for Cirkin, though, it would allow Spence more opportunities to play on his natural right-hand side, therefore affording Archie Gray, for example, the chance to spend more time in midfield. With his contract situation, Cirkin may be available for a cheap price and should he stay fit, could prove to be a shrewd addition for Frank's side if Spurs pursue a deal.

Thomas Frank Must Axe 4/10 Tottenham Dud After Shocker v Wolves

Description

Tottenham Hotspur failed to capitalise against the league's worst side so far in Wolverhampton Wanderers, who claimed their first point of the campaign with a draw in the capital - and one player in particular has come under certain criticism for failing to take the game to the Molineux outfit, with Xavi Simons taking flak for his performance.

Spurs were expected to beat the West Midlands outfit, who had lost their opening five games of the Premier League campaign to leave Vitor Pereira struggling at the foot of the table. But Santiago Bueno's goal for the visitors put Spurs in a predicament, and it was only in the final minute of stoppage-time that they managed to secure a point, with Joao Palhinha's effort from distance upending Jose Sa to secure what turned out to be a vital point in the end.

Xavi Simons Given 4/10 Rating vs Wolverhampton in Tottenham Draw

However, Tottenham fans will point to the fact that they should have done more to break down the Wolves defence given they were the clear favourites to win - especially with the array of attacking talent that included Simons.

The Dutchman, who joined from RB Leipzig in the summer for around £52million, was one of the coups of the summer transfer window after his exceptional form in the Bundesliga for the east German side. However, he wasn't at the races vs Wolves, unable to break down the league's basement boys on home turf.

Football London journalist Alasdair Gold gave Simons a 4/10 rating for his performances both out wide and in the middle, writing:

"Started shakily but whipped in a good cross that resulted in a Kudus header tipped on to the woodwork. Had little moments but never really got going, even when he moved into the middle in the second half. 4."

Simons Should be Dropped to Rekindle Tottenham Form

Per Sofascore, Simons had 58 touches of the ball, but only completed 23 of his 28 passes, with just three of his crosses being accurate. One of those reached Mohammed Kudus, who failed to score with a header, but Simons failed to create anything of note after that.

No shots from the former Paris Saint-Germain starlet, as well as just one successful dribble from four attempts and losing possession 23 times, was enough for him to be hooked for speedy French youngster Wilson Odobert with 12 minutes to go - a move which paid off for Thomas Frank.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Xavi Simons has five goals in 29 caps for Netherlands.

If Spurs are to avoid dropping points at home to the league's worst outfits on a regular basis, Frank needs to drop Simons. He had a poor game against one of the league's relegation candidates, and has struggled to find a natural place in the team, be it behind the striker or out wide. Tottenham's results have also worsened since Simons made the switch, winning just one of four Premier League games with him in their ranks against non-European sides.

With an array of attacking talent such as Odobert, Mathys Tel, Kudus, Richarlison and Brennan Johnson who can all play out wide, dropping Simons could be the move until he rekindles his best form.

Description

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly monitoring Brentford defender Nathan Collins and could reunite the Irishman with his former Bees boss Thomas Frank.

TEAMtalk reports that Spurs will look to use the January transfer window to sign a new centre-back, and Collins is a potential option. He has become one of the most reliable central defenders in the top-flight, and that's largely thanks to Frank.

The 24-year-old not only offers a ball-playing profile that has earned plaudits, but he's a leader at the back, handed the captain's armband at the Gtech. He has just under four years left on his contract, but could be tempted to link up with his former manager.

Tottenham Eyeing Brentford's 'Best Centre-Back' Collins

Spurs' interest in Collins comes amid the club's belief that their defence needs strengthening due to Frank's cautious approach over Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven's workload. The defensive duo were struck by the North Londoners' injury crisis last season, and the Lilywhites won't want to run into a similar situation.

Collins 'six-foot-four-inch frame was of real use to Frank in his Brentford side that pulled off plenty of surprises during his tenure. The Dane described him as the Bees' "best centre-back" last season, and he isn't the only Premier League boss who is a fan.

Arsenal were reportedly keeping tabs on the Republic of Ireland international at the end of last season after Mikel Arteta talked up the defensive system put in place by Frank at the Gtech. The towering centre half was at the heart of this, putting out fires while proving a real handful in set-piece situations.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Nathan Collins registered two goals and six assists in 38 Premier League games last season

Tottenham v Wolves Predicted Starting Lineups for Premier League Match Amid Kolo Muani Update - GiveMeSport
Description

Tottenham and Wolves will go head-to-head in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night as both teams look to get into the win column.

Thomas Frank's side battled back from 2-0 down to earn a point away at Brighton last time out in the top-flight, before a dominant 3-0 win over Doncaster in the EFL Cup in midweek. Vitor Pereira's side, on the other hand, have lost all five games so far this season after a 3-1 loss to Leeds, although they reached the fourth round of the EFL Cup with a 2-1 win over Everton in midweek.

Both sides have some injury concerns to deal with, leaving the managers with some decisions to make, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expect the teams to line up.

Tottenham Team News

Spurs have been in great form so far this season, but Frank's squad is beginning to get a bit stretched with injuries, and several players.

Randal Kolo Muani, Pape Matar Sarr, Ben Davies, Dominic Solanke and Kota Takai are all pushing to be involved this weekend after missing recent games, while Yves Bissouma is yet to feature this season. James Maddison, Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski are long-term absentees.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Frank shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.

"Latest is that everyone who was available for Doncaster is available again. Pape [Sarr] trained today so that's positive.

"Kolo Muani is a dead leg that is just dragging on so he won't be available. It was in training. He collided with Pape Matar Sarr so I can blame Pape! No, it was just an accident. Dead legs can be quick things or they can drag on.

"Dom [Solanke] is not available. It's just been a little bit tricky [with him]. We're positive it will be relatively quick. It's still not perfect but it's moving in the right direction. When there's a bit of pain it's about getting it right. He wasn't on the grass today but he was earlier in the week."

Tottenham Predicted XI

Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Spence, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Palhinha, Bentancur, Bergvall; Kudus, Xavi, Richarlison.

Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Kinsky (GK), Davies (DEF), Porro (DEF), Danso (DEF), Gray (MID), Sarr (MID), Johnson (FWD), Tel (FWD), Odobert (FWD).

Frank is likely to return to his trusted formation and lineup for this game, but vice-captain Pedro Porro could be rested ahead of the Champions League clash in midweek.

That could see him and Brennan Johnson, who earn a combined £230,000-a-week, benched as a result.

Wolves Team News

Wolves have lost all their top-flight games so far this season, but the manager is hopeful of being able to welcome Jorgen Strand Larsen back to the starting lineup in the competition following injury.

Brazilian midfielder Andre is dealing with a calf problem and is a doubt for this game, while Leon Chiwomie is ruled out after a serious knee injury earlier this year.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Pereira shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.

"No [injury concerns]. This is good, but it is a headache for me because of decisions, decisions, decisions with players that deserve to be in the first eleven. This is what it is, I prefer this kind of headache because now we have a full squad.

"We are going step by step with him [Larsen], tomorrow we will see his condition. He's not 100% in condition for 90 minutes, but we must manage the time he can play.

"Tottenham is a different challenge. I believe if we can play different systems, it is better for us.

"He [Arokodare] scored a beautiful goal, he showed quality in his finishing. He's getting his physical condition because when he arrived we pushed him to play, because we didn't have alternatives. We know he needs (time).

"Johnstone is doing good work. The squad is more balanced than last season because we have two players for each position and I believe it is time to prove why they are in the Premier League."

Wolves Predicted XI

Wolves Predicted XI: Sa; Agbadou, Mosquera, Toti; Tchatchoua, J. Gomes, Krejci, Wolfe; Munetsi, Strand Larsen, Bellegarde.

Wolves Predicted Substitutes: Johnstone (GK), Doherty (DEF), R. Gomes (DEF), H. Bueno (DEF), Hoever (DEF), Andre (MID), Arias (FWD), Hee-Chan (FWD), Arokodare (FWD).

Pereira is yet to orchestrate a victory in the Premier League this season, but he has been backed by the club hierarchy with a new contract and will be trusted to figure it out.

Tottenham Hotspur have "unequivocally rejected" an approach to buy the club from a consortium led by Brooklyn Earick.

The 41-year-old is a former DJ and now the founder of Redacted RnD, a company that focuses on technology, sports, media and entertainment.

Despite suggestions of a bid worth £4.5bn, GMS understands no offer has been made to date, and Earick's consortium now has until October 24 to publicly clarify their intentions due to it being a requirement under UK takeover law.

Spurs Release Statement Over Takeover Speculation

"The Board of Tottenham Hotspur Limited ("Tottenham Hotspur", the "Club" or the "Company") is aware of recent media speculation and confirms that its majority shareholder, ENIC Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd ("ENIC"), has received, and unequivocally rejected, an informal expression of interest in relation to a proposal to acquire the entire issued, and to be issued, share capital of the Club from a consortium led by Mr Brooklyn Earick (the "Consortium")," a Tottenham statement read.

"The Board of the Club and ENIC reconfirm that Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and ENIC is not looking to sell its stake in the Club.

"In accordance with the obligations under Rule 2.6(a) of the City Code, the Consortium is required, by not later than 5pm on October 24, 2025, to either announce a firm intention to make an offer for the Company in accordance with Rule 2.7 of the City Code or announce that it does not intend to make an offer for the Company, in which case such announcement will be treated as a statement to which Rule 2.8 of the City Code applies. This deadline can be extended with the consent of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers in accordance with Rule 2.6(c) of the City Code.

"The person responsible for arranging the release of this announcement on behalf of Tottenham Hotspur is Peter Charrington (Non-Executive Chairman)."

Tottenham also rejected two approaches this month from former Newcastle United co-owner Amanda Staveley and an Asia-based consortium called Firehawk Holdings Limited.

Following the departure of Daniel Levy, new non-executive chairman Charrington and highly-regarded CEO Vinai Venkatesham are both heavily involved in the new strategic direction of the club.

Joe Lewis' daughter Viv, son Charlie and grandson-in-law Nick Beucher are also taking on an active role.

Spurs have reiterated several times in public that the club is not for sale. It is believed new investment is forthcoming though, which could see the Lewis family inject funds into the club, while a stadium-naming rights deal is also not discounted as the club looks to boost its commercial revenue.
