Leeds United take on Spurs this evening already knowing we’re safe from relegation. But, we’re looking to finish the season as strong as possible under Daniel Farke.

United’s position as a Premier League club came down to whether West Ham would be able to claw back a seven-goal deficit in the final three games of their season.

The Irons faced title-hopefuls Arsenal at home on Sunday. Although, a narrow and controversial 1-0 loss to the Gunners meant Leeds are now mathematically safe ahead of tonight’s game against Spurs.

Leeds United team news pre-Spurs: Pascal Struijk confirms availability

Eddie Riemer was in front of the mic for our pre-Spurs press conference this week as Daniel Farke recovered from illness.

He delivered worrying team news with Noah Okafor ruled out for two games with a calf strain, while Gabriel Gudmundsson still hasn’t recovered from his either.

Elsewhere, Pascal Struijk was confirmed as a doubt with hip issues. Riemer confirmed that Struijk was forced train individually at the back end of the week.

However, the Dutchman has since confirmed his availability for the trip down to North London. He has shared a pre-match post on his Instagram story, effectively confirming he’s in the squad for tonight:

Huge boost for Leeds United’s defence in tough game away to Roberto De Zerbi’s Spurs

While we’re safe and there’s zero trepidation around the fixture, tonight will be an incredibly tough game.

Spurs have won back-to-back away games since their last home fixture. And, they will be massively buoyed by their upturn in form and West Ham’s loss.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is set to be a cauldron tonight. So, it’s up to Farke to quell that early intensity and keep heads calm.

Struijk being back in the team is ideal for our defence looking to stem the flow of Tottenham momentum following recent form.

Fresh off the back of our comfortable win against Burnley at Elland Road, Leeds United are back in action on Monday night when we travel to take on Tottenham Hotspur.

Whilst the pressure of the relegation battle has eased significantly for Leeds following their impressive run of form, Spurs are still fighting for their lives with just three games to go.

Roberto De Zerbi’s side moved out of the bottom three following their most recent win over Aston Villa, but Daniel Farke’s side are in fine form in their own right, losing just one of their last nine outings in all competitions.

“They’ll have enough..” – Alan Shearer predicts Tottenham to beat Leeds United

Paul Merson recently predicted United to pick up three points during our trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and now Alan Shearer is the latest pundit to have his say on the game.

Leeds’ exceptional run of form was not enough to convince Shearer that Leeds would leave the capital with a positive result on Monday night.

Writing in his latest prediction column for Metro, Shearer said, “Leeds are going to play a huge part in who gets relegated, because they play both Spurs and West Ham. It’s fascinating, but I think with what I saw from Spurs last week, they may just have enough now to stay up.

“And I guess with the energy that they showed the other day, I think they’ll have enough to beat Leeds at home. Spurs to win.”

If Arsenal beat West Ham over the weekend, as most expect, then Leeds would be mathematically safe going into the game against Spurs.

However, with Spurs getting the better of United at Elland Road when the two sides met back in October, Farke’s men will undoubtedly be keen to get revenge on Tottenham.

Although Spurs have won their last two games, they have not won three Premier League games in a row since February 2025, and the fact that Shearer has predicted them to end this abysmal run against an in-form Leeds team will surely prove to be controversial with the Elland Road faithful.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be keen to end his barren away run against Tottenham

Whilst Dominic Calvert-Lewin has gotten back to goalscoring ways as of late, with two goals in his last four appearances, the forward is in the midst of a barren run away from home in the Premier League.

The striker’s last league goal not at Elland Road came all the way back in January, during the seven-goal thriller that Leeds agonisingly lost against Newcastle.

This means Calvert-Lewin has gone five Premier League away games without scoring, something our talisman will surely be keen to change as he aims to finish the season on a high and land a spot in England’s World Cup squad.

Too often away from home, Calvert-Lewin has been an isolated figure up top, and with the two remaining away games we have, Farke should show the opposition less respect and go after teams more now that our top-flight status is virtually secure.

Leeds United make the trip down south to take on Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night in what could end up being a pivotal game at the bottom of the table.

Although Leeds’ Premier League status could already be mathematically secure going into that game if results go their way over the weekend, the same cannot be said for Spurs, who are firmly stuck in the relegation dogfight.

Before the season started, not many would have predicted that a newly promoted Leeds side would be sitting six points clear of Tottenham with just three Premier League games left, but that is the remarkable situation we find ourselves in.

Former Arsenal player Paul Merson recently had his say on the upcoming game, with the Sky Sports pundit sharing his “fear” regarding Leeds ahead of their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Paul Merson makes incredible Tottenham vs Leeds United prediction

Leeds are in fine form going into their game against Spurs, losing just one of their last nine games. United could deal a major blow to Tottenham’s survival prospects in the process.

When predicting the outcome of the game in his latest column for , Merson predicted Daniel Farke’s men would pick up another positive result. That is in spite of having a major fear regarding the Whites ahead of the game.

“Leeds have been outstanding in recent weeks. Barring the FA Cup semi-final loss to Chelsea,” Merson said.

“If Leeds are in the mood, they can hurt Tottenham. There’s no doubt about it. I actually feel sorry for West Ham because Tottenham are playing Leeds at a favourable time. We know it’s all about timing in football.

“If Leeds were still heavily involved in the relegation battle, they would have been a huge test for Tottenham. Now I fear they might take the foot off the gas against Spurs on Monday.”

Merson continued: “This is a hugely important fixture for them (Tottenham). I just can’t back them against Leeds though. I think they lose this one!” Before going on to predict Leeds to pick up a 2-1 win on the road.

Opta’s supercomputer disagrees with Paul Merson’s Leeds United prediction

Although Opta are pretty much certain that United will still be a Premier League club come next season, with their chances of relegation sitting at just 0.12%, they are not confident in the Whites picking up a result against Tottenham.

According to Opta’s supercomputer, Leeds have a 26.7% chance of winning the game

Spurs’ chances are much higher, sitting at 50.9%

The chance of the game ending in a draw is 22.4%

Although Opta have us as the underdogs, there is no reason why we shouldn’t be confident going into this game.

Whilst Spurs have been in better form as of late under Roberto De Zerbi, it is still vital that we end the season on a high by picking up results, and hopefully that can stand us in good stead for next season.

Seeing Spurs go down would be one of the funniest things to happen in modern football, and we have a golden opportunity to ensure their battle for survival with West Ham goes right down to the wire.

While Leeds United weren’t in Premier League action over the weekend, instead at Wembley, Spurs and West Ham collected huge wins on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites were heading down to the capital over the weekend for an FA Cup semi-final, but as we took over Covent Garden on the Saturday, scores were coming in from the Premier League.

West Ham hosted David Moyes’ Everton, while Spurs travelled to Wolves. Both sides needed to respond to Leeds’ spirited Bournemouth draw, plus Nottingham Forest absolutely battering Sunderland 5-0.

Spurs and West Ham both win to ramp up Premier League survival scrap

A draw against the Cherries is still undoubtedly a good result for Leeds, climbing onto 40 points with four games left. However, we’ve lost ground in the survival race as all three sides below us claimed victory.

West Ham took the lead through Tomas Soucek’s header against the Toffees, before the away side thought they’d salvaged a point when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall levelled in the 88th minute. Callum Wilson came off the bench to finish deep in added time for the Irons, though, sealing a huge win.

Over at Molineux, a tense affair between already-relegated Wolves and struggling Spurs found a breakthrough late on as well. Joao Palhinha found himself unmarked and played onside by Matt Doherty, scrambling in at the far post.

That result ends Spurs’ wait for a league win in 2026, moving onto 34 points. They are still in the bottom three, with West Ham now on 36 points, Forest on 39, and Leeds of course on 40.

Brutal Spurs injury confirmed for Xavi Simons as ACL rupture emerges

It wasn’t all good news for Leeds’ relegation rivals.

Spurs’ late winner at Molineux came off the back of a largely poor showing again, plus another two potentially devastating injury setbacks.

Xavi Simons latched onto a long kick out in the second half from Antonin Kinsky. As he jostled with Hugo Bueno, a seemingly innocuous challenge left Simons stricken in clear distress. He was obviously then forced off with a knee injury, requiring a stretcher. That setback for the Dutchman has now been confirmed as a ruptured ACL.

“We can confirm that Xavi Simons has ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his right knee,” Spurs’ statement read. “Xavi will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and, following that, will then begin his rehabilitation with our medical team.”

Prior to that, striker Dominic Solanke couldn’t continue in the first half, clutching his hamstring. On Solanke, Roberto De Zerbi couldn’t commit on whether he will be ruled out.

“Solanke has suffered a muscular injury,” De Zerbi told the Standard. “It’s not a big problem, I don’t know how many games will lose him.”

Gutting blow for Spurs could allow Leeds United more comfortable survival run-in

I’m still relatively confident that Leeds will be playing Premier League football next season. We’ve got four games left, are sitting on 40 points, and have to play three teams sitting below us.

Spurs are one of those, and you do wonder if that win against Wolves will spark them into life, but they still weren’t good. It’s not like they’ve been playing well for some time and will suddenly click into gear now they’ve beaten 20th-place Wolves.

That being said, if Solanke joins Simons in being ruled out for the rest of the season, that’s crushing for them. Two crucial attacking players in their setup missing leaves De Zerbi with it all to do.

Leeds United are not out of the woods yet despite victory at Old Trafford this week, but Wolves could be the first to suffer confirmed relegation at the hands of Daniel Farke.

Not many Leeds United fans were thinking that we’d come away from Old Trafford with anything on Monday, but the heroics of Noah Okafor secured a historic win.

It leaves us six points clear of the bottom three as a result, with six games to play. This week, we welcome Wolves to Elland Road as one of four remaining fixtures against sides sitting below us in the league.

Leeds United could help seal Wolves’ relegation with Elland Road victory on Saturday

Don’t get it twisted, the notion that three points is a foregone conclusion for Leeds against Rob Edwards’ Wolves is nonsense.

Wolves have been destined for the drop ever since their losing run at the start of the season. But, they’re not total pushovers. In 2026, they have collected 14 points from three wins and five draws, including victories over Aston Villa and Wolves, plus draws against Arsenal and Brentford. They’ve only collected two fewer points than United in the same stretch.

So, it’s not a gimme, of course. Anyway, gameweek 33 could be the moment their fate is sealed at Leeds’ hand.

This week, Wolves can get a maximum of 35 points, as there are 18 left to play for. If Leeds claim victory, it leaves Edwards’ men only capable of hitting 32 points, the total that 17th-placed West Ham sit on right now. Therefore, if Leeds win and the Irons avoid defeat against Crystal Palace – or if Spurs beat Brighton – then the Old Gold will be down.

Goal difference means that anything but a Wolves win effectively relegates them on Saturday. But in truth, their relegation has been a matter of time since minute one. The task for Leeds is to see the job out in the same ambitious manner as West Ham last Friday.

Leeds United could also relegated Burnley and Spurs in May’s Premier League fixtures

I’m well aware that this idea is incredibly daunting to think about. How quickly situations can change – Leeds could hold the fate of each of the bottom three in our hands, but these three could also control our fate too with shock results against us. I’m not counting my chickens, don’t worry.

After the FA Cup semi-final, Leeds’ attention turns back to the relegation scrap at home to Burnley. The Clarets are another side heading back to the EFL once more.

Scott Parker’s Clarets are three points ahead of Wolves. And, they could well be confirmed as relegated before they come to Elland Road. However, they sit 12 points adrift currently. If they remain 12 points adrift when we meet on gameweek 35, anything but a win sees them down.

After that, Leeds head down to North London for what looks to be the huge six-pointer away to Spurs. It looks unlikely that Spurs will be relegated by then. That’s especially so if Roberto De Zerbi can put up any sort of fight.

That said, should Spurs be seven points adrift by that gameweek 36, defeat to Farke’s United would also relegate them.

For Leeds, it matters not whether we’re the side to seal the positions of those below us. Obviously, all that really matters is that we secure our own position as a Premier League club beyond this season. It would, though, be incredibly ironic if Leeds were to hammer another nail into the Spurs coffin, after they relegated us in 2023.

Leeds United go into the game at Old Trafford tomorrow guaranteed to be at least three clear of the relegation zone after Spurs’ defeat on Sunday.

Nerves were sent jangling on Friday night as Leeds fans watched on at West Ham collecting a massive three points at home to Wolves, while doing their goal difference a big help, winning 4-0.

It was then over to Spurs and Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, who faced Sunderland away and Aston Villa at home respectively.

Spurs lose 1-0 at Sunderland to stay in relegation zone, three points adrift of Leeds United

The hope for Leeds was that Sunderland’s revived hopes of a European finish would see them put Roberto De Zerbi’s side to the sword at home.

It was a close game with Spurs justifiably aggrieved at refereeing decisions going against them, as Nordi Mukiele’s deflected second-half strike proved the difference.

A 1-0 defeat in De Zerbi’s first game leaves Spurs two adrift in the bottom three. Meanwhile, Forest pegged back Villa to draw at home and move level with Leeds on 33 points. That means Leeds stay in 15th on goal difference, three points clear of Spurs with our game at Man Utd to follow tomorrow.

Cristian Romero dealt potential knee injury setback as Spurs sweat over new setback

One of the decisions Spurs will have felt hard done by was the lack of punishment for Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey.

The Dutchman chased down a loose ball that found its way to Spurs ‘keeper Antonin Kinsky. As Cristian Romero looked to shield it back to his ‘keeper, Brobbey barged the centre-back into a collision with his teammate, and the impact looked nasty for the Argentine’s knee, clearly bending the wrong way.

Romero was unsurprisingly left in a heap, and was unable to continue, subbed off eight minutes after this incident. As he left the pitch, he was visibly in tears, clearly in distress as his World Cup hopes could be in serious doubt.

After the game, De Zerbi was unable to give a precise update.

“We don’t know yet,” he told Football.London. “We have to see the next days. I hope for us it’s not important a problem because he’s a crucial player for us. A good guy, top player, big personality and we need him to finish the season and to achieve our goal. Maybe yes [his knee] but I don’t want to say nothing until we know more.”

Leeds United need to hammer home Spurs’ relegation reality

An injury to Spurs’ best defender is absolutely catastrophic for De Zerbi, if he’s ruled out for the foreseeable.

We have our own job to do, of course. That said, Spurs not getting back on track under their new manager gives us a real push to kick on.

Of course, getting a win at Old Trafford looks a huge ask, but even a point would be great for us.

There’s a real opportunity for us to head into May’s six-pointer against Spurs with a healthy cushion. Consequently, we have the chance to hammer home the reality that they’re the team going down. Not us.

Leeds United undoubtedly have to worry about our own prospects first. But, Spurs have been dealt a massive blow in their hopes to stay up, in the form of Mohammed Kudus’ latest setback.

Premier League football returns this weekend, and for Leeds, we have to wait until Monday night for our trip to Manchester United.

In the meantime, West Ham take on Wolves on Friday night. Then on Sunday, Nottingham Forest face Aston Villa and Spurs travel to Sunderland.

Spurs dealt massive survival blow with Mohammed Kudus facing extended injury spell

As much as we at Leeds need to focus on our own job, with Daniel Farke thinking five-to-seven more points will be enough for safety, you do have to keep one eye on developments elsewhere.

Spurs’ incredible spiral towards the bottom three in 2026 is one of the biggest stories in recent Premier League history. They’ve enlisted Roberto De Zerbi on a huge contract as the man to guide them away. And, the fear is that he has the tools necessary to play a brand of football capable of getting points on the board.

However, a star attacker that was looking closer to a return is likely out for the rest of the season.

Wide midfielder and the star man when Spurs beat Leeds at Elland Road, Mohammed Kudus has been dealt a setback on his recovery from injury. The Sun’s Jake Sanders has reported that the Ghanaian is unlikely to play again this season, perhaps needing surgery.

Massive blow for Roberto De Zerbi and Spurs as Leeds United watch on

You naturally worry that Spurs are genuinely ‘too good to go down’. That fear is based on the sheer quality they have in certain positions. And, Kudus is one of those match-winners on his day.

However, as West Ham fans are saying in the comments of these updates, he’s being labelled as a character that’s not up for a scrap in the Premier League.

Him returning could have revolutionised Spurs’ play under De Zerbi, but it’s back to the drawing board. That’s undoubtedly good news for Leeds.

Keeping the three current teams below us is the aim to stay in the league. If Spurs don’t get one of their best players back, that stops them from being at their best.

Leeds United are going to hope we can keep our noses in front of the three sides below us in the coming weeks. Spurs, meanwhile, may be staring down the barrel with Sean Dyche in the frame.

The international break can often be seen as a positive and negative for teams ahead of the run-in. On the one hand, you hope to welcome players back from injury. On the other, some players may come back from international duty with new setbacks.

Leeds’ break comes off the back of strengthening our position in the relegation scrap with a four-point gap to West Ham. Meanwhile, Spurs are left to mull over a bleak day against Nottingham Forest, thumped 3-0 on home turf.

Spurs consider stunning Sean Dyche appointment to replace Igor Tudor

Losing 3-0 at home to a relegation rival is perhaps the lowest Spurs have sunk this season. Igor Tudor is still winless in the league. But, the North London club’s Premier League winless run extends well beyond that, yet to win in 2026.

Unsurprisingly, it leaves Tudor’s position looking incredibly frail. Brought in with a previous track record of steadying relegation-troubled sides in Europe, he’s had no leeway to settle in at Spurs, needing results immediately.

Now, the Telegraph report that Tudor could be dismissed soon. Not only that, but there’s a staggering update on his replacement too, as they report that Sean Dyche could be lined up.

Dyche has been out of work since leaving Forest last month. His departure came off the back of a woeful run of form left the Reds sliding towards the drop too. A stumbling block for Dyche is that while he’d be viewed as a short-term firefighter by Spurs, he’s unlikely to want a contract merely for seven games.

Tudor’s position at Spurs is expected to be decided by Monday. As a result, a replacement may be sought with a fortnight before they’re next in action. While Leeds and West Ham meet in the FA Cup, Spurs are next in action away to Sunderland on April 12th.

Leeds United stability much more comforting than Spurs’ ongoing managerial turmoil

There has to be some credit given to the 49ers and Farke for instilling so much calm in the midst of everyone below us imploding at some stage this season.

That stability can be a massive difference-maker when we’re looking to maintain good performances. Spurs, though, could be looking at their third manager. A manager who has already failed embarrassingly with a good squad in this relegation battle in 2026.

Based on what Dyche did at Forest, I can’t see how this would be a good appointment. Dyche’s methods wouldn’t work with a group of players who simply lack the fight to stay in this league.

What’s clear is that we have a huge opportunity to stay in this league by simply doing our job.

Revealed: Chances of Leeds United profit from Spurs losing Archie Gray in mega transfer - LeedsAllOver |
Description

When Leeds United sold Archie Gray to Tottenham for £40million in the summer of 2024, few expected Leeds to be in a strong position to finish above the North London club in two years’ time.

The Whites are seven games away from the end of the Premier League season. And, one of the most stunning relegation stories could be unfolding.

While Leeds are certainly not anywhere near being out of the mire, Spurs are incredibly staring down the barrel after a 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest last time out.

Former Leeds United gem Archie Gray a lone shining light in Spurs’ woeful season

There’s a striking issue for me, watching on at Spurs’ plight right now. It’s that there are alarming similarities to ours and Leicester City’s relegation in 22/23.

We had enough to stay up, so did Leicester. But, the players didn’t care, and the managerial decisions taken were bordering on nonsensical.

Igor Tudor’s inability to get ideas across is bad enough. But, players such as Cristian Romero strolling around the pitch makes for grim viewing. Archie Gray, though, has been a rare bright spot in the Spurs performances.

Their spirited display against Atletico Madrid was potentially the £40million midfielder’s best performance since swapping West Yorkshire for North London in 2024.

Online, Gray is coming in for huge praise from the Spurs fanbase. Despite only turning 20 this month, Gray has been lauded for the maturity and grit he’s shown. Now, he’s being given more opportunity to play in midfield.

Leeds United have no sell-on clause in Archie Gray’s Tottenham contract

The question is whether Gray will be at Spurs much longer. Of course, he didn’t leave his boyhood Leeds thinking he’d see United above Spurs within two years of his transfer.

Spurs’ spiral towards the drop means that any standout performers from the squad could be lined up by clubs higher up the food chain. It’s something we experienced when losing the England youngster in the first place.

Loose rumours suggest Manchester United could be interested in signing Gray this summer.

However, any transfer of Gray to clubs higher up would be immaterial to Leeds. The £40million exit in July 2024 came without Leeds agreeing a sell-on clause.

Having signed Gray’s contract in the January of that year, Leeds were unable to then negotiate a sell-on clause further down the line when Spurs came to the table.

Even if it were the case, Spurs being relegated would leave them unlikely to register significant profit above £40million, for Leeds to therefore benefit from a sell-on clause.

Most, if not all, sell-on clauses are based on the profit made above the original sum. So, Leeds would have needed Spurs to make more than £40million to gain anything in a sell-on clause, had we included one.

For example, Leeds sold Charlie Cresswell in the same window to Toulouse for £3.8million. Leeds are entitled to 15% of any profit made by the French club. No such clause is present for Gray, according to reports from the YEP at the time.
